Good overall hotel, amazing leisure centre. Used the pool and gym while there.

Enjoyed very good quality food and Guinness at a recent wedding. Shoda cafe is also well worth a visit

Staff are very helpful. Swimming pool and gym on site. Great rooms

Reception and restaurant staff were kind and helpful, the bedrooms had great decor and were very comfortable, can't wait to come back again!

Arrived for a 2 night break to the sound of hammering & drilling in the room next door. No chance of a nap then. Noise stopped late in the evening only to return at 7:30am the following morning whilst guests tried to sleep in the surrounding rooms. Called reception & was told that the work needed to continue regardless. Noise was so intense that my keys on the desk were rattling...at 7:30am.

Manager was very apologetic and offered us a discount and change of room which we received after midday. Noise was still ongoing but thankfully we were moved to the far side of the hotel where it couldn't be heard. What could be heard was every time a guest in the surrounding rooms used any of the toilet facilities (toilets, taps, showers etc.) which causes a loud humming sound. Icing on the cake was the 10 minute false alarm at 7:20am on the final morning which was loud enough to draw guests from their rooms. Upon waiting for a taxi later in the day, I witnessed guests express similar concerns only to be told the hotel was fully booked and no additional rooms were available.

A really disappointing stay from start to finish and certainly not a 4 star service. Hotel would have been aware of the ongoing construction work yet sold the rooms regardless, for 130+ per night nonetheless. Although a minor discount was given, my girlfriend & I would have genuinely been more comfortable in the public park. Really poor hotel etiquette & I would not recommend this location to anyone seeking accommodation in the Maynooth area.

Shame on those responsible for the sale of those rooms.

Had an amazing weekend in Glenroyal last weekend, from start to finish everything was top class and thoroughly enjoyable,the breakfast was delicious and compliments to the excellent staff in all areas, definately highly recommended for a hotel break

Great hotel with fabulous meeting and conference facilities

Had a scrumptious meal in the restaurant and a lovely drink in the bar before the show. Very relaxing.

Noisy and not as nice as before. Won't be revising. Could be so much nicer.

Room was pricey. The room was far to hot and no way to regulate. Unable to open window as air conditioning units outside were so noisy. Fire alarm went off twice, despite all of above we got a standard apology at check out And got charged more as we had three guests!! Otherwise room lovely and clean. Good breakfast.

We had the pleasure of staying here a couple of weeks back. We brought 2 small children and they also loved it. Pool was lovely and clean and we all felt safe using it. I also used they gym which had all I needed and very well organised. Our room was perfect and very spacious. The breakfast was just class from Shoda. Staff all so friendly and we had a great stay..Thanks.

Very disappointing, beautiful hotel and nice rooms but the staff are very unfriendly Katie on reception was a very rude person with no customer service skills. Spa was very good and natasha and Sarah were lovely. Would definitely recommend a treatment but don't bother staying there.

Christmas party dinner, thought food was very poor standard for 50 euro. Staff were nice but were under pressure to serve the amount of people. Starter was cold and turkey and ham were not good quality. Exit doors were open a lot and the cigarette smoke was coming into the building. Would choose somewhere different next year.

My self and my husband stayed at this wonderful hotel.It was our third time and as always a wonderful stay. Hotel is so beautiful and staff are wonderful beautiful leisure centre is We stayed in room 116 lovely room great room and had very comfortable night sleep. The residents bar are so good cannot do enough. We went to the Elvis show and had dinner which was so good. Eating by candle light so wonderful. We had a the best time cannot recommend this wonderful hote enough. Thank you so much Glenroyle hotel looking forward to our next visit.

Room were Good .Food was poor chips tasted of fish which I hav allergen for no mention of it on menu either said to waitress she said she would let the kitchen know did not offer of new or alternative .Never even came back to table ,It was the most expansive burger I ever got .

It was one of my best stays so far, dinner was briliant and breakfast was very nice either. Room was better then was mine expectations for that price we paid. Swimming pool was georgeous and we will enjoy it more with jacuzzi but covid do not let us use this opurtunity. Surely I will visit this place soon and more often. And to not forget, service from Ramute and Ernie was up my expectation too, they do literaly everything we needed.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, clean room, spotless bathroom and the breakfast was lovely and vegetarian accomdating! The hotel had a lovely atmosphere and I really enjoyed my stay the little touches like giving you a wifi code straight away instead of having to ask for it leave a good impression!

Attended here for a one day conference, which was well facilitated. However the bar / restaurant was closed for renovation. Staff friendly and helpful. The casual 'coffee shop' Shoda, has a nice friendly, cosy athmosphere and a wide choice in convenient snacks, cakes and limited meals.

Nice Hotel with good clean rooms ... Bar has a reasonable selection of top shelf whiskey and gins with a professional and polite bar staff.

Did a course here. Used to be the place where I went to the disco during my college years, now a healthy restaurant. Hard to believe the change. Nice friendly staff and good service. Stayed there a few years ago. I have dinner as part of the course.

Great place ! Amazing staff and it's brilliant how accommodating they atr for the little one's.

Only stay 2 nights, but would have lived to stay for 3.

The pool is spectacular and also great for the kidos, and then a seperate pool for the adults. couldn't ask for more.

Breakfast was included in our package and was everything you needed for any kinda of start to your day! full on buffet.

We recently stayed on this Hotel very comfortable great food, great staff, great location.

Hotel is awful and really disappointing, it's tired, dated and all a bit fake - feels like a 90s American motel. The conference facilities are ok but the room had a plug-in freshener to mask a smell that was really over-powering and gave me a headache. The best bit is the cafe which looks like they've contracted out.
Very strange restaurant concepts in the hotel and a busy bar.
The breakfast is terrible, I wouldn't choose to stay here again unless I had to.

Food isn't great, atmosphere likewise. Plenty of better places in Maynooth for eating and drinking. Carton House is further out, but a much nicer hotel by every measure.

Shoda is a very nice restaurant especially for breakfast located next to the Glenroyal

Was here for a course, we were given lunch and it was beautiful!

Fantastic facility. Well for now, I joined yesterday. I will review my initial impression after about 3 months. For now, I like all I have seen.

I was only in the lounge area for a coffee & chips in the afternoon, but it looked lovely and was very relaxed. The chips were perfect: hot and crispy.

Once I got their attention, the staff were very courteous & professional. Would have been 5 stars if I hadn't had trouble finding someone to place my order and also when I went to pay the bill
