Don't forget to check out or they will repeatedly bang on your door until you leave. Rooms are ok, just small and a bit dated. Close to the town so an easy walk.

The hotel is nice,clean and inside it looks like the luxurious hotels in the movies extremely tasty food good breakfast lunch and dinner beutiful swimming pool, gymn and a lot of spas you can even go to tayto park with your family.ily very beautiful place i recommend so much the staff are always helpful to prepare you for the night great and beautiful hotel

It's beside the railway station so you would expect to have a diligent service. It is took 25 minutes to get the menu and 15 to get the order taken. 45 minutes later, Hey presto a bland meal. Should have got the sandwiches on the train. Good bye Glen royal

I've stayed here several times. It's clean, comfortable, the rooms are spacious and the staff are lovely.

I would give the Glenroyal Hotel a 5 star rating. Everything about the hotel from checking in to checking out was excellent. The food was delicious and the breakfast was fantastic. The job they done in the bar is fantastic. And the rooms were perfect.
The swimming pool and gym is well done. Over all a wonderful weekend stay at the Glenroyal Hotel. I will be back

I really like this hotel. Good facilities. Congested parking. Excellent food, excellent restaurants and coffee shop. I always look forward to returning. I had a lovely bedroom for two nights. Staff were very good.

Excellent hotel the staff are a joy the rooms are spotless and spacious.
The breakfast is lovely cant comment on evening meals did not dine there.
There is live music in the bar area the band I heard the time I stayed were brilliant. There is a large swimming pool swim caps required and spa treatments available. Great venue for weddings

Bar food review - The food itself is of good quality, however it is the service that lets it down time and time again. Every time I go, and I ve given it many chances, I m waiting ages for a menu, waiting ages to order, and waiting ages for the food - all while the place is not busy at all. A good front of house manager could sharpen this place up.

Great rooms. Clean. A bit cold and half day was not hot water. Breackfast was awesome and leisure centre included

The hotel literally had a scheduled evening with music in a reception room next to my room. Warned at check in that it was going to be noisy, I was warning them at midnight that I wanted to sleep. The answer: the music will stop at 1:00. No sleep, useless staff, and me who was there for work.

Lovely lunch. Pre packed sandwich excellent. Decor beautiful. Sanitizers etc in place. Staff friendly and helpful.

We went to a show here last week, it was very enjoyable, we had a meal before the show the food was delicious, the staff were friendly and efficient. The dining room and bar are very comfortable

Simple review...everything about this hotel is fantastic.Location great,spotless clean,fab heated pool,food lovely,beds sooo comfy,staff extremely helpful,luxury at affordable prices,suitable for couples+families alike...Cant say enough...I just love it.

Good central location, rooms are clean! And walk distance to the center of town.

Fantastic hotel. Great vibe in the bar. Really nice rooms. The Buffett breakfast was unbelievable I have never seen a selection as good as i did in the Glenroyal hotel. The breakfast is the highlight for me and of course the bar too. The adult pool is nice however, i would have liking to be able to go into the other pool too. 100% reccomend staying in the hotel. Looking forward to going back.

The hotel has been renovated and looks fab..called in tonite at 8 on way home from work for some food. I ordered prawns n chilli. They were fab. My husband ordered seafood chowder also gorgeous.. Then we waited a Hour for main course.. Supreme chicken and a curry.. Food was lovely... We were really hungry.. Everybody else was in same boat waiting and waiting and some were calling other waiters.. It also took 30mins to get a drink.. The waitress ordered it at the bar but it was left sitting there I had to get another waitress to get it.. One male manager just said that they were busy..no apology... . Music started later and was very enjoyable.... 3stars would have been 5.but for big delays and no apology.... More staff required. Girls doing their best... Lovely place..

Great for coffee and cake, with lots of gluten free options too. Farmer Jack's breakfast a real treat, with the poached eggs being particularly good.

Stayed here after a day at the races in Punchestown, great experience and fab staff

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Glenroyal. Superb experience. From walking into the luxurious foyer, to dining in the restaurant and chilling in the bar with fabulous piano and singing in the background. To retire to the crisp white linens with most comfortable mattress then a buffet breakfast that would rival a 5 star + hotel. Altogether excellent provision and customer service. We will be back again and again.

Amazingly...receptionist rand a couple of times to ask if I was happy and satisfied with nearly everything...that was quite new..lol

My time in Glenroyal Hotel was perfect. What ever I needed was just a reach away. Great hospitality lovely atmosphere, watch some football have dinner, beer.

Amazing experience here, staff are lovely and the rooms are amazing definitely a family friendly hotel.

I love the leisure club!! The gym has everything you'll need. Ring ahead to check busy times so you can have your pick of machines without having to wait.
For the past while the pool has been slighlty cold on and off. If youre bringing young children, an elderly person or someone with arthiritis looking for relief from the pool maybe ring ahead and ask about the temp on that day and they will give you a reading.

Train station across the road from the hotel. Lovely town to visit. Love the hotel.

Had some issues with customer service. My room was not ready and I had to wait in lobby 40additional minutes.

Visited about a month ago now but the place is nice. First room was a bit small for my liking so I up graded to a bigger room. The food was delicious both nights. Staff where lovely. Breakfast not so good don't recommend it. Pools are lovely. They have 2 pools, 1 is for adults only. Location good just around the corner from the town. Would stay again.

Truly a great hotel staff helpful and gioiale, clean, large rooms, well equipped and heated, excellent breakfast. It is also located near shops, doctor, hair salon, restaurants, pharmacy, shopping center and near the bus stop and the station. A real gem of a hotel.

This hotel was excellent! Beautiful rooms (mine with bath tub!), fantastic full Irish breakfast, and phenomenally helpful staff! My trip was really great thanks to staff s assistance both at check-in and check-out. I stayed for two nights. I highly recommend this place.

Leisure centre a brilliant amenity one of best in country with two 20 meter pools.

Very nice hotel with lovely staff. Only down side was the size of the room. Smallest double room I've ever stayed in with the smallest bed. My partner and I are 5.5ft and 5.10ft in height, when we lay in the bed our feet hung out over the end of the mattress. We were only staying 2 nights and the hotel was fully booked so we just laughed it off. When I mentioned it to reception at checkout they did give us a free up grade if we returned again. Although the receptionist advised us to maybe not book a "classic double" again, so we should pay the extra for a bed to fit normal sized people? Lol I wouldnt call the bed "classic" at all, it's not a standard sized bed a hotel would use. Every other aspect of the hotel was great, but I'd be very weary about booking a room again.. Especially if your tall lol

For all the families who come to this place for the spa:
Children are not allowed to go to the jacuzzi, sauna or steam room.

Children are prohibited to use the spa after 7 pm (19:00)

All guests must wear a swimming cap.

All children under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

All Over 7 year old children are not allowed to go to the dressing room of the other gender

All lockers must be locked. They can be locked with a lock, available for a charge of 5 euros.

Minimum jewellery only permitted in the pool.

Jumping or diving is not permitted.

The "big pool's" depth is max. 1,4 metres

No drinking or eating anywhere in the spa area.

Had a lovely stay, we were looked after very well at check in by Roisin, she was an absolute pleasure.

Had no child minding on the first night like promised but very nice hotel and friendly staff

My Husband, son and myself stayed in the Glen Royal Hotel over the Easter weekend. I have to say it was very good. The room was beauitful and so clean. My son really enjoyed the kids club and Easter egg hunt and us time to use the gym and swimmimg pool. The food was the best i tasted. And the staff could not do enough for us. Over all great value for money and we have booked the hotel again for another great weekend. See ye all soon!

Slow service at the bar even though the place was not busy

Excellent service staff very friendly and helpful rooms lovely good facilities for kids.... we there down staying on Thursday night such a warm welcoming me and my friend and 4 kids really enjoyed ourselves along with a lovely visit from lenny the lion to our rooms we cant wait to revisit.. but I want to say a very big thank you to reception staff katie she couldn't do enough for us and nothing was a hassle to her she is a true credit to the hotel.... thank you again katie x

Our room was a decent size and was clean and well kept. There is a huge cafeteria style restaurant as well as a nice quiet restaurant with a descent al a carte menu. The bar is also quite big and has live entertainment. It's right at the center of Maynooth which is a lively town with lots of bars and restaurants dotted around.
