Good pizza. Really tasty crust and sauce. Not much of an atmosphere. Just a plain restaurant.
Be ready to wait a long time either for the table and they found Deep Dish Pizza. But worth it!! They had more then on location and they are so packet every night. No reservations on the weekend. The pizza is a must to try if you're in Chicago area and is also the only city where you can enjoy this special pizza. We got the classic one the first time and under a friend suggestions we asked for well done. We really enjoyed our time!
One of the best eatery I've been too. My children loved it and also wish we could go back but we're from AZ.
It is important to know that you have to wait both to get a table and to get a deep dish pizza, and it is completely understandable after having a great time and the best pizza ever.
Flew to Chicago just for deep dish pizza. Was not disappointed. Wait for 30 minutes for a table, but ordered my pizza upon check in. So once I was seated pizza came out within 20 minutes. Just in time after some drinks. Pizza was phenomenal. Good sauce, crust, stringy cheese pulls and very filling. 2 slices is all I could take. Recommend a small pizza for a couple we took 2 slices home with us to Jersey!
Loved the service my deep dish pizza was soooooo delicious my husband and I will definitely be back
Not the best as claimed, bruschetta was really good
An extra ordinary place like I've never seen before. this place is something that really made my day with its food taste and its ambiance and also its atmosphere, this place is unforgettable, I still have its pizza's taste .
It will be my fist place to visit every time i go to Chicago.
Food is exceptionally delicious. It's a super busy place, kinda shows a bit on the quality of service but I was still taken care of. If your in a rush order pizza to go, they don't take reservations and both times we went there was over an hour to get the pizza. The food more than makes up for the hustle and bustle enviroment however. I know I'll be back again.
Awesome and yummy food, I love the character this spot has, and the staff members were super friendly. I will definitely come back in the future.
Now this is an experience to remember. The wait can be a bit lengthy, but I promise you its worth it. They have some good beers in the bar for while you wait. Pizza was delicious, we had a salad too. Staff were friendly despite tremendous pressure on them to cope with high volumes of customers. Plan on getting a take-out box at the end, you'll need it!
great place for deep dish! very crowded, it's possible to order while you're waiting to be seated so as to reduce waiting time. (deep dish plates take almost an hour to cook)
Very good !!! You have to try it in addition an excellent service of Vicky!
Very, very long wait time. Pizza sauce is real good.
Waiting times are reasonable, food is good. Might be less crowded than other locations nearby.
OMG I totally loved this place. You must try the deep dish pizza of course, it's Chicago and it's a must. I couldn't have made a better decision then coming here and trying their food. Stuffed pizza is great (and fattening, hahaha)
I loved there man made Chicago pizza that take about an hour to make. Its the best pizzeria in downtown Chicago
Stupid good deep dish.
You need to know:
You can only eat half of a small - seriously.
A small is twenty bucks - worth every penny.
The quality is really good.
Good quality takes time - 45 minutes from order to eat.
Try it, you'll love it.
From ohio never been to chicago before. Heard this was the best place to eat...not a lie!!!
Always eat Giordano s when I come home. First time at this location and was impressed. Went late afternoon and had no wait. Pizza took the standard 45 mins and it was amazing as always. A little hard to find if you re using Apple Maps, but it s right off the main road.
The pizza is awesome and the staff is incredible helpful. I enjoyed my stay here and it is a geary place to get the famous deep dish pizza.
My first deep dish pizza experience and they set the bar pretty high. Great spot and attentive staff.
Ohhh... pizza like I've never had! Good, Good, Good!
Very good pizza! We will definitely be back when we visit again.
Best pizza, very busy place, wait time approximately an hour depending upon the day of the week
Good pizza. I had an order to go, but it wasn't quite ready so I drank 312 at the bar. It was a merry ole time. I have nothing bad to say because as I stated, I was drinking at the bar.
If you are a pizza lover, and haven't tried deep dish yet this is your place, but they waiting can be long (1 hour or more) due the high demand of it. I really liked it m, but it was not my favorite dish from Chicago
I thought the service and the vibe was tremendous. If you re planning a day out in the city and want to experience Chicago Style pizza, this place is perfect. The service was really good. Make sure you re not starving when you get there though because as they will explain, it takes 45-60 minutes to bake a deep dish chicago style pizza. It s well worth the wait though and they set the expectations from the start. You ll most likely have leftovers as most people can t/won t have more than two slices per sitting. It s still just as good the next day though!
Disclaimer:
I went here well before covid so I m not sure if anything has changed.
Pretty good stuff. Super cheesy and the sauce is delicious. The pizzas take 45 minutes.
We visited this Giordanos on a Saturday night while we were in Chicago. They have a good system for such a busy place where you put your name in and pre-order your pizza due to the long cook time. By the time your table is ready the pizza is almost done. The only word to describe our service experience is chaotic. We ordered an appetizer that never showed up, asked for ranch 3 different times which never came, and had to ask for the bill and a box twice. Pizza was great, service was rough.
If you want to eat the real taste of the classic Chicago style, Deep Dish Pizza, Giordano's is the right place.
It's a nice place with a cool design and good environment.
Pros:
Good food, fantastic deep dish pizza, cool Italian design.
Cons:
You need to wait like one hour to get your order (or maybe more), the place looks full all the time. Sometimes the waitresses are not in a good mood, nothing friendly at all.
First time I've had deep dish pizza and it was delicious! Worth the wait. Service was fantastic and our waitress was very friendly.
Delicious Italian food. Outdoor patio was nice a casual and friendly staff.
Somewhat overpriced tourist joint that has expensive domestic beers and deep dish pizza that is pretty decent.
The best deep dish pizza and you'll leave with a full stomach. Definitely earned their reputation!
The food was really good. We finally got a taste of Chicago pizza in Chicago. The wait was tremendously long.
We didn't wait at all to get a table even though it seemed very busy. Had an option to sit inside or outside. Our server Maria D. was exceptional - fast, courteous, and friendly. Definitely a must see for the area and will be back soon. Would definitely recommend!
Can't believe you have to wait an hour to hour and a half if you order pizza
Nice place to eat but most of the time you have to wait like one hour
Delicious pizza, although we were warned of the delivery time .....
Pizza was good and nice place service on the other hand was slow almost an hour for one pizza
Visited Dec 31st for dinner, ordered small Chicago Classic Deep dish
nothing special, tastes like a deluxe pizza back home (just with more cheese)....the crust was only ok
would try the special instead next time, but due to the lack of value and fairly high $$$, would need alot of consideration visiting a 2nd time
Good pizza, but not as great as we expected. Super crowded place, like zero room to move
I was brought to this place by a Chicago local during my trip to the windy city in February 2020. Not sure if this is the best Deep Dish Pizza in the whole of Chicago but the lunch time deal for a personal deep dish pizza with the soup of the day and a piece of garlic bread for $10.95, is one of the most value for money meals you can get in downtown Chicago.
The personal deep dish pizza actually feeds 2 people, even though I am a person with a big appetite. I liked the crust to cheese ratio for the deep dish and I could tell that the dough was made fresh. My pizza was paired with the vegetable minestrone soup that was an excellent combo to somewhat nutritionally balance out with the greasy cheesy deep dish pizza.
If you re craving for a deep dish pizza and you re on a budget during lunchtime, this is the place to go.
Wonderful pizza... omg... first time to ChiTown and I asked the uber driver what's the best deep dish pizza (cuz that's what the Chi is known for) and he suggested Giordano's.. omg GREAT pizza.. cheese with seasoned beef is good, but the plain cheese is the absolute best.. had to take a frozen pie back to NYC cuz I knew I was going to be really good...
Was a very tasty experience: Deep Dish Pizza, Almost more cakes but super tasty
Super crowded but worth the wait. They are efficient, so while you wait for the table you can order and then you don't have to wait too much for the meal when you get the table.
A small pizza is ample for three people. Good food!
Fantastic deep dish and came highly recommended from locals.
First time customer... and probably last. Place was overly packed (maximum bar occupancy listed at 21 and I counted over 35) and everyone seemed rushed. No one greeted us, which might be nornal if I were in New York. I stopped a manager and asked if we were going to get kicked out for seating ourselves at a bar table. Wife and kids sat themselves at a table at the bar. I ordered pizza and was about to order drinks when the bar manager approched my wife and asked us to leave. Apparently the hostess (never saw her?) was about to seat the table. Guy was totally rude to my wife and kids. Kicked two other tables out for the lack of hostess/hostess mistake. My family left and I stuck around to wait for the pizza, which took an hour.
Update: The kitchen manager was the only person who actually greeted us. The bar manager was rude and frantic. The head manager, from what I can dissern, preffered to chat with the workers and smoke cigarettes outside on the sidewalk. I would give it a single star but the pizza was actually pretty good. Avoid if the place seems busy and you expect service.
Oh my gosh ! yes deff a yes! Everyone left raving about the food and service. This is a must try place. Our table got several items to share , first deep dish pizza - Solid 10 it was sooo good , wings 7 cooked well but flavor is lacking a bit, salads 8-were fresh and met expectations, spaghetti 8 ... The only downside ..the wait , but so worth it .
