Honestly, we had high hopes for Giordano's. Some of our friends like it more than other deep dish places. Personally, I didn't think their tomato sauce was as tasty as some other places and their crust wasn't either. The sausage was very good, but the whole effect just lacked the omfg effect that we had experienced at another deep dish place. Intitials: LM's.

First time trying deep dish; it's amazing and filling. There was a huge line but they didn't ask us to just sit there, they took our orders asked us for our phone number and let us explore until they were ready.

Stuffed deep dish all the way! Great place for dinner with friends while enjoying Chicago.

Worth the wait. It was very busy when we went. Hard to get in the door type of busy. We ordered and waited roughly 30 minutes before we were seated and an additional 20 minutes for our food to come out. Great time to socialize with friends.
We ordered 2 pizzas while we were here: one extra cheese and the other 'The Special' and WOW. The cheese was my favorite. If you've never tried their pizza before, it's made with the ingredients on the bottom, an extra layer of dough, and tomato sauce on top.
The waitresses we had was fantastic. She had tons of energy and engaged in short conversation each time she was at the table with us. She even helped us dish out the pizza when it arrived.
The pizza here isn't cheap. Pizzas start around $15, but soft drink refills are free.

The food here is STELLAR, the only downsides are the wait time (automatic 45 minutes off the bat) and the limited seating (because it's always crowded... because the pies are phenomenal). The atmosphere is casual, noisy, and sort of intimate in the way that it's pretty open and the tables are close together, so it has sort of a one-large-happy-family vibe. I've since gone vegan, so I won't be able to enjoy the thick, delicious layers of cheese in these tasty pizzas anymore.... unless a miracle blessing occurs and they decide to implement vegan cheeses (*praying & crossing my fingers*).
