First timer. Great service. Great pizza. Walked in and was seated immediately. I came in, expected to have a 3 hour wait for a table and another hour and a half for our pizza due to reviews and opinions of friends that have visited this establishment. This was definitely not the case. Our pizza did take about 45 minutes to cook but with something that thick, what else can you expect. Most of the bad reviews are due to lack of common sense. If you come in and complain that your pizza wasn't out in 10 minutes...????? Try and replicate this pizza at home and prove to me that it's possible in 10 minutes because there is just no way that would happen. Food was really delicious and it came out hot. So please, when coming to dine, expect for a wait.

AAA+++

First time trying Chicago style pizza! I had about a thousand recommendations to try this place out and I was not disappointed! Our server was excellent and took care of our table perfectly. I tried the calamari and more appetizer and loved it. Dove into the deep dish pizza and that was great too! Excellent flavors and freshness. Good prices and family friendly. A+ to Giordano s, they re great!

We came all the way from Texas to enjoy a classic Chicago Pizza. We waited 15 min to be seated. Then another 2 hours to get the famous pizza. The pizza was good but not sure it was worth all that time we waited. We asked our awful waitress Cveta for a compensation and she showed a really bad attitude. We got 15% off after all. I thought after eating we would forget the waiting time but that waitress made a good effort to make us feel really uncomfortable. Sorry, that waitress need to find another job.

Amazing Chicago Style Pizza! I would highly recommend going here if you are in town and looking to get something to eat.

This place is a bit pricey though but worth it (in my opinion).

Also, this place gets very busy around lunch and dinner times. This location DOES NOT take reservations. Expect a 45- 1 Hour wait if you are coming in around 12pm and 5pm.

The pizza was amazing! The signature deep dish is the way to go. Even during the week at lunch it was busy! I went by myself and ordered for one and the wait time was over an hour but well worth the wait! The bar service was friendly and the drinks amazing as well!

This was our first time in Chicago and we chose Giordano's as the place to have some deep dish pizza. I am sorry to say that it was not a great experience. We were seated on the patio, which would have been fine, had the staff kept the propane heaters lit (which they did not). So we were pretty cold. When we placed our order, the waiter told us that they were not too busy, so the pizza should be ready in about 40-45 minutes. So, we sat there in the cool weather, waiting...and waiting,... and waiting...About an hour and 20 minutes later, our pizza finally shows up. But it wasn't piping hot like the ones served at the tables around us. Instead, we received at best a room temperature pizza, with the cheese already congealed. Call me crazy, but when you are sitting at a restaurant for almost an hour and a half in the cold, you deserve a HOT pizza,. We were starving and didn't have anymore time to waste to send it back, so we ate a couple pieces and left. The waiter not only failed to get our pizza to us straight out of the oven, but also took forever to even ask me if I needed a refill and didn't bother to ask my husband if he needed one. He very much lacked attentiveness to say the least. This could have been a great Chicago experience for us, but it turned out to be the worst part of our trip. Regretted our choice to eat there. .

My family and I were in town for a half-marathon and on our last day we decided to cap off the trip with a Chicago deep-dish pizza to satisfy the craving. We had gone to Lou Malnati's 2 days before and were expecting a similar experience. Unfortunately, Giordano's didn't live up to our expectations. Almost in unison, we all said, "Lou Malnati's was better". It's not that the pizza tastes bad or anything. It tasted decent, but I could taste the difference. The crust was not as buttery or flaky, the sauce was not as thick or flavorful, and the spices in the sausage were difficult to distinguish. While eating the pizza at Giordano's I was reminded of these little oven bake mini frozen pizzas we used to eat after school as kids with the paper baking tray. The wait staff were nice and the pizza was done relatively quickly so no complaints there.

Nice casual setting, convenient location downtown chicago with a Patio. Tasty deep dish pizza with efficient friendly waiters. Average price. Don't arrive starving as the pizza takes about 45 minutes to arrive. Drinks were not so great.

Planning to dine in? Expect to wait 45 minutes. If you have never tried deep dish pizza, it is worth the wait. I was in a hurry and chose the take out option, which also had the expected wait time of 45 minutes. To my pleasant surprise, I was given my order in 20 minutes and found a public space to sit across the street right in front of an office tower (by CVS).

There was think layer of cheese in a flaky think pastry pie like crust. I thoroughly enjoyed it, even though I think they coils have left it in the oven a little longer. It was fully cooked, but not as piping hot as I would have liked. I'm sure it is because I ordered the most simple order, a small sized cheese pizza for 1 person. I bet they have a ton of these frozen and pop it in the over for ten minutes.

Anyway... I give it a thumbs up and would return to thus place again!

Great pizza place. Please note that this not the classic Italian pizza you used to, but a deep dished Chicago style pizza. Nevertheless, it was a great pizza with tasty tomatoes souce and I enjoyed eating it. It just bothered me a bit that the pizza was a little cold, but I believe it was an exception.

Place was packed when I arrived in the afternoon. I was able to get a quick spot at the bar eating alone however. I had a personal deep dish which was good and parmesan fries as an appetizer. I'd return to try a traditional slice

Great pizza, very long wait at busy times but they'll message you on your phone when your table is ready so you can go elsewhere (as long as its close) The pizza is delicious and don't be fooled like myself. 2 or 3 slices is equivalent to a large thin crust! I still managed 4 though :)

Stopped in after a visit to Millennium Park. Lunch special (deep dish pizza and Caesar salad) came fairly fast even though the wait line was fairly long at lunchtime. Definitely one of the best pies I've had.

I don't know what's dilio estatura strap it's unhealthy it's mini altar quality very expensive for pizza I would go the other more reasonably priced and healthier options within walking distance but if you must drive Chicago disgusting pan pizza go there on your own I would avoid it by all means

For the lunch special -- the pizza and fries. Too be honest, the thick pizza is totally not my type and I found that the fries taste even better. Too much cheese and more importantly, the pizza is just too thick. Probably it is my problem.

The pizza here is amazingly good. However, the ceiling was leaking near our table. Possibly because of the snow. It is a bit hidden since the main entrance does not face a busy street.

Adam was a great bartender. Great conversationalist, extremely knowledgeable about Chicago history, and super helpful in terms of suggestions for places to visit and routes to take, etc.

Italian beef was ridiculously good, and soup was probably the best minestrone I've ever had.

Busy restaurant for good reason. Great pizza pies with a selection of styles and sizes. Friendly staff and good knowledge of the menu and a fair selection of beverages. Will certainly be back here for more.

So .. where do I begin The service here was acceptable and very friendly Everybody seems to be working together establishment was pretty clean and very family friendly It s me they play very good music.. the portions are huge!.. If you are ordering a deep dish pizza repaired for along wait at something this thick takes time to cook ( its understandable at 45 minutes).. there why I have it 3 stars.. it s purely taste for me.. this is not the taste I was expecting .. pretty much reminded me of school lunch pizza.. so the flavor for me is a HUGE letdown .. I also ordered cheesy garlic bread.. definitely not again ... the taste and texture was really off putting .. the says that came with it lacked flavor.. but once again it s based on my taste.. being a New York guy I know my pizza ...
