Food was fine. Had an enjoyable meal. Not sure the food justified the wait though. More hype than actual substance?

We had a great waitress and was very good at what she does.
Mexican waitress excellent service but the pizza is nothing exceptional, this normal.
first time in Chicago friendly staff great location Great pizza
Waited ages to be seated and then over an hour to get my pizza when I was told it'd be 45 minutes.
Stuffed Pizza! The stuffed pizza is great. It is one of the more costly Giordano's. The food was good. The people were nice.
There was s bit of a wait on a Friday.
Staff was very polite. Even though I was by myself, I did not feel unwanted. I even got to charge my phone. I got the special deep dish individual pizza which was more than enough for me. Also you have to wait 45 mins for it to be ready but I didn't mind. Taste was ok but lacked that oomph for me.
Fascinating pizza is what you get at this Italian restaurant. Easy route: the restaurant is on East Lake Street. Pizzas are collosal here. And the best part is that the pizzas are more like a porcelain dish! They look like a bowl-like dinner plate! Please try this restaurant at least once. You would love it!
Great pizza, but for the "famous chicago" reputation, it's not that impressive. Pizza Chef in Racine, WI is better.
Just helpful tips here...they do not take reservations Saturday or Sunday. Family came to town last minute and wanted to meet up for dinner Saturday here. We put our name in for our party and was told about 40 min which all in all isn't bad at all around dinner time. Then they give us a menu and ask us to put in our order soon so they can start making the pizza since it take so over an hour to cook which we did. Great experience!! It's always very noisy inside but besides that for a Saturday was good
Sat outside enjoyed the summer weather..sign up for app on phone receive free appitizer. Pizza was rockin..u order pizza while u wait for table works out great pizza hot n ready delivered to table within 15 minutes of being seated..
The deep dish pizza was the reason we were here and it was okay. If you miss it no big deal but if you can't resist the cheese and are curious soul like me do visit when you're in Chicago next time. The servers are very welcoming and pizza was fresh, tasty, delicious and cheesy!
The dessert just amazing. Chocolate ice cream Brownie or something similar it's called. Must have after the pizza.
We ordered pizza for lunch for the office and it was ok. It took forever to place the order on the phone and delivery guy never came up to our suit, plus was late. He waited downstairs. Pizza was ok.Thin crust was ok but a little too dry. I felt like they could have used more cheese and more sauce.
Jesus! The small pizza was impossible to finish between 3 people. Must say that it's extremely filling but also very yummy.
Went here with a friend to catch up with life, and got a booth. Though it was crowded, even outside, there was still enough privacy for us to talk without anyone else listening in, or us listening to anyone else's conversation. The staff were friendly and fast, especially with our food! The pizza is divine! Must go when you want some really good pizza from Chicago!
Very rude Hostes did not want to serve my family because we were a large group trying to get a taste of Chicago... I was very upset
Given the choice, deep dish or thin crust, I'll always go thin crust. But this pizza has the potential of being a game changer! Excellent pizza!!!
Wait time is worth it! So recommend the Chicago Deep Dish and the Chicken Pesto, now have a new favorite pizza joint. If you're ever in Chicago visiting the sites, make this one of your stops for sure
My first time in Chicago, heard that this eas the best pizza place, but I was wrong, it was a bad experience for me.The order I placed was wrong, called right away to speak with a manager, he told me to bring back the food, I told him I was visiting and will come the next day, he said that a driver will pick up the food and I will have to pay for the delivery of the food, I found that to be absurd. I demand for a refund and never got it, I will not recommend or eat there again, it was the worst experience for me.
The pizza was amazing. A deep dish takes at least 45 minutes to cook, but is delicious and definitely worth the wait. I got a deep dish single serving with 2 veggie toppings, kind of pricy but if you re visiting it s a good place to get the Chicago deep dish experience near alot of hotels
food was okay. service was great. if ur looking for deep pan pizza. id recommend pequods.
We saw a mouse while waiting on our salad. The waiter, who was not attentive at all throughout our meal, was not phased. The salad was mostly old lettuce and the pizza was luke warm (after the 45 minute wait for it to cook).
Their deep dish pizza was more like eating Mozzarella cheese than pizza but the overall taste was good. The wait time was very long. Deep dish pizza is overhyped.
If you are looking for great tasting Chicago style pizza then Giordano's is a great place to go. The facility if very clean and the pizza and salads are absolutely delicious. The only real negative is the wait which is usually over an hour but is definitely worth it. Taking the pizza home is great too if you accidentally order too much. I would suggest not reheating it though because just eating it cold tastes way better. By a landslide, Giordano's is my favorite Chicago restaurant.
We were told it would be 20-30 min to be seated and it only took 10! They have a great pre-order your pizza option that saved us time and the wait staff was very friendly!
Delicious. Totally delicious. I ate the best pizza in my life . Is open late. But is 45 min only to cook so if you're very hungry order a appetizer until you're waiting.
Wow! This pizza was amazing! The crust was perfect! Collin was a great help and waiter.
Good pizza but can make you sick if your stomach is sensitive
Not far from the Millennium Park, so there are a lot of people dining, pizza baking time will be longer, but the waiter is still positive, will always return to wait for how long, generally speaking, it is not bad; pizza tastes better Heavy, it is recommended to point to salad and soda to solve the problem.
This place clearly knows how to please their customers. Always with a very kind mindset. The food is affordably priced, regularly delightful and clean.
Busy, touristy, I had to try but prefer thin crust
Must try world's famous deep dish pizza when in Chicago .
Amazing pizza!! Worth the wait. A must stop in Chicago
Lots of people and I had to wait a long time. The friendly service.
Very good. Arrive by 11 am if you want to come on a Saturday. Very crowded. Worth it
What can you say about the best chicago pizza and right next of the Millenium park.
Great food, we enjoyed the outdoor seating in the summer.
Came during Saturday around 1pm. You need to first wait to put your name down for a table. Then you wait in another line to preorder your pizza or food. Then, you wait for your table to become available and hand them your order sheet. After that, we waited 30 more mins for the food. We tried their famous Chicago stuffed deep dish pizza and also the thin crust pizza. This was way too much food for 2 people, but we figured if we are going to be waiting awhile, we should at least try 2 items. The Deep Dish pizza was way too cheesy for my personal taste, but my mom loved it. But, the sauce was great. The crust was also good. We didn't like the crust at all on their thin crust pizza.
Tourist place. This is Chicago's most popular pizzeria. It didn t impress me, but it s worth a try. For this, I recommend to visit a nickname pizzeria.
Giordano's was one of the places that I was told that is a must go to while I was in Chicago.
We arrived around 9pm and were greeted by about 20 other people waiting to be seated. We put our name down and were told that it would take about a hour to be seated and that we should order in advance because it would take around 45 minutes for our pies to be made. We ended up ordering a large Chicago Classic stuffed deep dish and Bacon BBQ chicken stuffed deep dish along with calamari as appetizers and the tomato bruschetta.
We went to the bar and grabbed a couple of drinks while we waited for our turn to be seated. The restaurant itself has a lot of energy, especially with the Cubbies play for a spot in the World Series that weekend. Even though it was very busy, the staff were friendly and helpful towards everyone. We were able to enjoy some of their draft beers before we were seated.
Our party was seated around a hour after we had put our names down. The booth was very large and able to accommodate our party of 10 people easily. Our appetizers came out very quickly and our pizzas soon followed. All of the food came out hot and delicious. Since many of us were from different parts of the country, each person had their own take on Chicago stuffed deep dish pizza. The New Yorkers found it too big and difficult to eat like the NY thin crust pizzas. The West coast people thought it was good but maybe a bit on the heavy side. Regardless, everyone agreed that the pizzas were hot, fresh and delicious.
Will be sure to visit again the next time I'm in Chicago.
Came in on a Saturday night for a beer and some pizza. Bar tender said what sounded like "Pizza up for an hour." I thought he meant the kitchen was open for another hour. No. It was an hour wait for an individual, 6 inch pizza. Really wish he had confirmed the wait time before placing the order. Pizza was just okay. You can find Chicago style in most cities now, and without the "we did this first" pretention.
Edit:
I ordered a double pepperoni pizza. After receiving the pizza, it had one extra pepperoni on top. I told the bartender I was unhappy with the lack of pepperoni, he got the manager who asked "What do you want me to do about it?" and offered to remove the charge for extra pepperoni, not get me the correct order.
I'm Italian and I never had deep dish pizza. I've to say that is pretty good and also a nice idea. You should go there, nice atmosphere and helpful staff.
Excellent Chicago deep dish pizza! The wait was long, but it was worthwhile for sure.
Great food, but being from NY it was a shock when they said 50 minutes to make the pizza. It was well worth the wait!
First Chicago is just a wonderful City. Second, Giordano's has amazing Chicago style deep dish pizza. It was so tasty. It was easy to get to there was no wait (I sat at the bar). The staff was friendly and engaging. I felt as though I belonged there or as if this was their restaurant. I will definitely eat here again.
Thank you so much for a lovely meal. I m definitely stuffed!! Vicki was wonderful- thank you!
The absolute BEST pizza I have ever tasted. Go there when you are in chitown..
Went in right after the Disney parade. We were told to wait 20 minutes to be seated. We preordered our pizza and were seated in 15 minutes. Pizza arrived half an hour from there. Delicious pizza. Kim, our waitress, was friendly and attentive. She brought our refill drinks even before we could ask for it. We had a lovely time. The Tiramisu was to die for, absolutely delicious!
A small size deep dish was more than what me and my friend could eat. Helpful staff despite the crowd. Pizza however takes an hour to make. Worth the wait.
Really amazing food. Order before you arrive. The wait can be extremely long for the food to come to your table.
Maybe it's just the New York in me but the pizza didn't do much for me. I can't get past the crust then the toppings just came right off and forget about the deep dish. If you like abundant sauce and cheese this is the pizza for you we just got thin crust. Now the buffalo chicken wings were terrific.
The deep dish pizza there is awesome !
... If you're willing to wait a good hour to get it !
There is so many people in lines that they have a "waiting list" line and a "pre-order" line. We waited about 15 minutes to register on the waiting list, then 20-30 minutes to pre-order and once we got seated we waited about 30 minutes again....
Once again the dish itself was really good but make sure you don't have something booked right after or you might miss it.
Pizza is great. Service was really bad. I had to remind the server to get our pizzas and drinks. It took an hour and twenty minutes to get our order to our table.
Giordano's is recommended, this location isn't.
Vicki was great at waiting the tables! Enjoyed the spinach and cheese deep dish pizza.
Very different from Italian pizza but delicious though
Pizza is mediocre, nothing special about it. Service was great though.
Good Chicago pizza but a 45 minute to one hour wait.
So good, I had to come back twice (in one day). The small pizza was big enough for 2.
I had the 6 inch individual pie and it tasted like those frozen pizza you get at Costco. The first time I ate here was back in 2011 with my friend, I was blown away so today was a disappointment. I'm hoping next time if I order a small piece to share with someone I will fall on love again. Granted this location was different from the one I originally went to.
Great staff and amazing pizza! Our pizza had a little mix up and the management was awesome about it. Immediately made us aware of the problem then continued to apologize and made it right by buying our pizza. Despite of the mix up we will definitely be visiting again! It is well worth it!! Fantastic deep dish!
Great food and service. It can take a long time to wait for your food during busy hours.
The pizzas are awesome, deep dish AND thin crust. Salads are great with dressings made in house. Try the house. The tiramisu melts in your mouth. There's also a giant chocolate chip cookie, warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream drizzled with chocolate sauce. Ok, you might say it's just a cookie with ice cream, been there, done that. Not this cookie!
Warning: always busy but you can pre-order the and it and your table will be ready at the same time. Meanwhile enjoy a glass of wine!
Great pizza bring someone with you to sit in the car a lot of no parking zones and the place is usually packed every night
Very mediocre. I got the personal deep dish pizza and teh crust was way too thick and doughy for me. The best part of the pizza is the cheese. The tomato sauce was very bland and the crust was horrible.
Ordered a thin crust pizza, was told it will be ready I'm 35 minutes but I had to wait for more than an hour! It was just an ordinary pizza! The water they served was dirty, I didn't noticed it till I drank half glass but when realized notified the server.
Long wait
Great pizza
Saved time on line by sitting outside
