A magnificent park in the city. Perfect for long walks all year round. It s safe too - there aren t many unsavoury people around. There s also a ladies and gents swimming pond. A children s play area. I visit as often as possible.

Hampstead Heath is the best London park I've been to. Mostly it is quite jungly but there is a little bit of everything here. The view from the top of the hill is amazing. There is Kenwood house to visit and people fly kite on top of one of the hills. Go for a run or take your dog, etc etc.

If you are a local or even if you are coming for a visit , you are in for a treat , especially if the weather is nice i.e on a sunny day . It is one of the massive parks , some parts could even be close to a small forest, you will see kids playing, lakes , ducks , pigeons, there also a place for swimming in the summer , the view from the top is very panoramic of London , always a pleasure walking there and relaxing on the grass

What could I possibly say that other people haven't? It's massive, wheelchair accessible from most parts, worth checking out both at night and day too. In the day it's a community of dog walkers, swimmers, picnic takers, and casual strollers. At night its bat watchers, lonely souls, night kiters, and occasional late night summer drinkers.

Wonderful park and well kept in a beautiful area with picturesque views of London A criticism would be that it is just slightly difficult to navigate as no clear signing within the path. I Would recommend visiting the ponds and walking right to the summit to see the views. The Local facilities are close for refreshments, picnics etc. To cycle through it s a bit restricted as only a few paths allow cyclists but plenty of paths for pedestrians.

This is an excellent place for jogging and relaxing, you can find enough free benches. I enjoy listening to various birds singing all round the park. Very calming and refreshing, like a small oasis for the busy and noisy London City.

It s old school. It s Victorian. It revels in its Victoriannessness. Think cold changing rooms, and an even colder pool. Which isn t really for me. The cafe is nice though, and accessible from the Heath- fresh salads, fish of the day, sandwiches, Decent coffee. etc. Expect mums with buggies during the day in the cafe; and brave old men with goggles and swim hats in the pool

Absolutely lit. I saw the highgate vampire hunters doing their duel and it was thrilling. I like swimming too in the ponds, its nice to see the dragonflys having fun. There is a cult hanging out though so be careful of them, they are suspicously happy. The lifeguard Jamie is very cool, i heard hes a rocker with a sexy attitude? Either way, its all good for me.

One of my favourite things in London, and one of the reasons I love living in North London. Beautiful paths to walk/run, terrific bathing ponds for swumming, and lots of green space to picnic, sit, or soak in nature and get a break from the city.

Absolutely beautiful place to go for a walk or have a dip in the ponds on a hot day. If you want to go for a swim in the pond, I suggest getting down early as it gets so busy after 1pm. The heath surroundings are gorgeous though and well worth the visit. Hamstead itself also has loads of cute coffee shops where you could buy snacks or a picnic before you get to the heath.

One of the most memorable place in London as my fiance proposed here. I love the hilly terrain, lush greenery and several bathing ponds. It can get a bit crowded during weekend but still a great place to have a picnic and stroll.

Beautiful park in elegant surroundings. Spetacular views of London. Great ponds, some dedicated for swimming from May to September! If you like peace and quiet be careful, it is v popular and at weekends and in Summer/holidays it is very busy!

A stunning park, calm and unique. Perfect place to walk with a partner, dog, child or alone. A perfect place to enjoy nature within London and immerse oneself in the slower pace of life. And has ponds to swim in for free, at the low cost of cold water
