A magnificent park in the city. Perfect for long walks all year round. It s safe too - there aren t many unsavoury people around. There s also a ladies and gents swimming pond. A children s play area. I visit as often as possible.
Fantastic outside space in North London. Some great views at the top of the UK capital...
Beautiful huge park. Beautiful view and peaceful environment. Good place to bring your dogs or go for a picnic! But remember the park is so huge and there are no restrooms in it.
I would describe this place as an enchanting forest a stones throw away from the height of civilisation and a quintessential respite on trip to london.
Enjoyed a 4 hour walk and loved the ponds attracting much needed wildlife. But my special love was the foxglove enclosure.
Hampstead Heath is the best London park I've been to. Mostly it is quite jungly but there is a little bit of everything here. The view from the top of the hill is amazing. There is Kenwood house to visit and people fly kite on top of one of the hills. Go for a run or take your dog, etc etc.
It's the heath! We love our green spaces in London and this is one of the best. Lots of hills, trees, places to explore and loads and loads of dog walkers. A London highlight
It is lovely to have fress air and being in contact nature.
Beautiful, wide open spaces, great for long walks with the family and walking the dogs.
An amazing piece of beautiful green park. A pleasant walk awaits.
I love walking our dog on the Heath on a Sunday and then eating lunch locally. The change of colours in Autumn is just stunning. Dog friendly and so are the people. Highly recommend.
Doggy heaven - squirrels to chase, a special pins to swim in, and lots of other dogs to play with
A real forest in London. With pond to swim. Beautiful wild place.
.felt like we went on holiday .far away from the noise and busy city. Great for kids .
If you are a local or even if you are coming for a visit , you are in for a treat , especially if the weather is nice i.e on a sunny day . It is one of the massive parks , some parts could even be close to a small forest, you will see kids playing, lakes , ducks , pigeons, there also a place for swimming in the summer , the view from the top is very panoramic of London , always a pleasure walking there and relaxing on the grass
I loved it. It was one of the best places I have been to in London.
What could I possibly say that other people haven't? It's massive, wheelchair accessible from most parts, worth checking out both at night and day too. In the day it's a community of dog walkers, swimmers, picnic takers, and casual strollers. At night its bat watchers, lonely souls, night kiters, and occasional late night summer drinkers.
Is very welcoming I loved the fact that I feel as if I'm in the countryside when ever I am there
Lovely bit of grassy marshland in a posh part of London.
Love this place for getting away from it all in London.
Wonderful park and well kept in a beautiful area with picturesque views of London A criticism would be that it is just slightly difficult to navigate as no clear signing within the path. I Would recommend visiting the ponds and walking right to the summit to see the views. The Local facilities are close for refreshments, picnics etc. To cycle through it s a bit restricted as only a few paths allow cyclists but plenty of paths for pedestrians.
Great green space for a walk. Good views of city underneath.
This is an excellent place for jogging and relaxing, you can find enough free benches. I enjoy listening to various birds singing all round the park. Very calming and refreshing, like a small oasis for the busy and noisy London City.
It s old school. It s Victorian. It revels in its Victoriannessness. Think cold changing rooms, and an even colder pool. Which isn t really for me. The cafe is nice though, and accessible from the Heath- fresh salads, fish of the day, sandwiches, Decent coffee. etc. Expect mums with buggies during the day in the cafe; and brave old men with goggles and swim hats in the pool
Wild and fun! Lots of cute dogs everywhere. Parking is a lil expensive however, so visit with a bus/train
I love the heath as you really can avoid people who don't want to follow the guidelines. Nature at its best just a shame I have to catch a train to get there
Love the Heath! A marvelous gift for Londoners who can enjoy this marvelous park with the best view of the City
Amazing!!! The perfect getaway from the city in the city!!! This is amazing spot!! We went to the ladies pond spent there the day and couldn't get enough of it.
A large public park with beautiful flower gardens and large open green spaces perfect for relaxing.
Absolutely lit. I saw the highgate vampire hunters doing their duel and it was thrilling. I like swimming too in the ponds, its nice to see the dragonflys having fun. There is a cult hanging out though so be careful of them, they are suspicously happy. The lifeguard Jamie is very cool, i heard hes a rocker with a sexy attitude? Either way, its all good for me.
One of my favourite things in London, and one of the reasons I love living in North London. Beautiful paths to walk/run, terrific bathing ponds for swumming, and lots of green space to picnic, sit, or soak in nature and get a break from the city.
Little zoo is the kids favourite..lovely old forest.
No matter what weather it is, a great place to destress. Wonder place yo be. Plenty of areas yo explore
If you are tired of the hustle and bustle of London, this is an easy to get to escape. You can even go swimming in a pond! There is a small zoo and plenty of trails.
Absolutely beautiful place to go for a walk or have a dip in the ponds on a hot day. If you want to go for a swim in the pond, I suggest getting down early as it gets so busy after 1pm. The heath surroundings are gorgeous though and well worth the visit. Hamstead itself also has loads of cute coffee shops where you could buy snacks or a picnic before you get to the heath.
such a vast amount of greenery and open space so central and on my doorstep,i visit here atleast once a week as its local to me. great paths to walk/run and you can always take an alternative route if you get tired of the same surroundings.
Beautiful open space in the middle of the city. Wilder than Regents Park, with lakes and forests and Kenwod House at the top. One of my favorite places to visit in London.
One of the most memorable place in London as my fiance proposed here. I love the hilly terrain, lush greenery and several bathing ponds. It can get a bit crowded during weekend but still a great place to have a picnic and stroll.
Beautiful park in elegant surroundings. Spetacular views of London. Great ponds, some dedicated for swimming from May to September! If you like peace and quiet be careful, it is v popular and at weekends and in Summer/holidays it is very busy!
A stunning park, calm and unique. Perfect place to walk with a partner, dog, child or alone. A perfect place to enjoy nature within London and immerse oneself in the slower pace of life. And has ponds to swim in for free, at the low cost of cold water
Vast, with all types of terrain, open spaces, wooded areas, swimming ponds and lakes, Kenwood House, cafes and much more.....
Amazing open space rich of woodland and wildlife. Incredible views over London from Parlament Hill. Six miles away from Trafalgar Square.
The best park in London. Beautiful views, lots of space, cute dogs to watch and the ponds are the best bit!
Love strolling around, the views, and seeing so many happy faces.
Natural open air heath at a high point offering views across central London. Traditional swimming lakes and excellent local cafes & restaurants.
I simply love this park! I find it perfect for my days when I need exploring! :)
Glorious, Glorious, glorious. A must! Surely this is the most beautiful spot in the whole of London?
