Absolutely beautiful place to go for a walk or have a dip in the ponds on a hot day. If you want to go for a swim in the pond, I suggest getting down early as it gets so busy after 1pm. The heath surroundings are gorgeous though and well worth the visit. Hamstead itself also has loads of cute coffee shops where you could buy snacks or a picnic before you get to the heath.
