One of the best steak places in the area. A little pricey but good portion size. Reservations is a good idea. Great place for special occasions if you don't mind the crowd.

Food was fresh and delicious. Our server was amazing, right on point, very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu.
It's a little on the pricey side, but it's very very good. Staff is friendly and attentive, and food presentation is good. My family goes every so often, and so far it's been consistently good each time.
Special place with great food. A couple $ more than usual, but worth it.
Great steak tips and sides. Kinda pricey but I see why. Service was good, bar was cool, view is awesome, bathrooms are spotless. I suggest a classy two person band to come in and play music on the weekends. Like 70s, 80s, 90s stuff. You ll double the sales and get the 5th star.
Ref: Fenton Hotel, Fenton, MI. They kill it with the classy bands, always an older mature crowd. Draws so much money.
Beautiful country setting for delicious food & impeccable service! Highly recommend!
GBQ was excellent!! I had the best pulled pork sandwich. Sitting on the porch was pleasant with the nice breeze and bucolic view.
The steaks were cooked perfectly and were very tender. Seasonings were almost non-existent, even the basics of salt and pepper. The tomatoes with fresh pesto were bland and the tomatoes weren't even ripe. They appeared hastily prepared as they were quartered and the cores hadn't been removed. The crab and cheese dip was just that: crab and cheese, no seasonings, with crackers straight out of the box. We'd been wanting to try this place for a long time. We can check it off the list.
The food is amazing as is the restaurant! One of our favorite restaurants.
We had a girls night out in this Restaurant, the place is beautiful located in an Amazing Farm.
The food was very good and a very warm atmosphere.
Without hesitation is a nice place to have your friends. very nice experience
Back to 4 stars after recent visit in December. They've caught back up to the demand the expanded bar and seating may have been challenged by. Wife had braised veal shank, I had seared duck, both had salad and all were delicious!! Nice place and staff always excellent service.
Vegetarians, avoid this place like the plague! There was only one entree for vegetarians and that too was not available when I visited. The waitress offered to get a vegetarian plate done by the cook. Which was nothing but a small bowl of boiled carrots, a small bowl of mashed potato and a small bowl of seasoned mushrooms. Guess the price...a cool $22...Will I ever go there again?....NEVER!!
One of the top restaurants in the area. Sit by a window; it's beautiful.
Top of the line. The webber group does an excellent job
Groton's greatest restaurant with one of the best atmosphere (converted barn) I have ever experienced, professional and warm service, insane stakes, and one of the greatest selection of wines. No overprices and in a great location. Do make a reservation before you go because this place is usually full.
If you are in the Boston area, this place is so worth a visit. They grow a lot of their own ingredients on property. Staff is nice and helpful. Great drinks and the steak is AWESOME!!!!
Always the best service, food, and satisfaction. Spot on.
The new bar is excellent. Thanks to Jennifer and Jackie and their wonderful smiles. Awesome menu and great atmosphere.
This was the 1st really good restaurant with an interesting and diverse menu, good for carnivores and vegetarians. Well prepared food that makes you want to come back for more.
Great atmosphere. Vaulted ceilings. Friendly staff. One of the owners stopped by to check on how we are doing. Place was hopping with that vibe of people who are excited to be eating out at a special place. But menu and food were just basic American fare.
I've eaten here several times and attended a wedding at The Barn. The food is alway delicious and the staff top notch.
They recently revamped the menu, last night I had the lamb shank (which was cooked to perfection)
Farm to table dining at its best. Best steak s in New England.
Very very nice place! Great atmosphere and food. Very friendly and helpful service. Will come back any chance I get
Visited GH for the first time and it was unfortunately not quite as expected. To keep this short, first the water glasses both had a couple lipstick marks. No big deal, easy to replace. The two steaks we got were as rare as can be and not chewable. Server did not come back to check so that was a wash. Lastly, I found a HAIR in the veggies which the server brushed off as a vegetable string. (Is upload a picture of it if I could!).
I barely touched the plate and the server had no concern of the hair sitting on the uneaten plate. Even asked if I wanted to box it up. I ve never experienced something like this. Paid and left.
Emailed them, never got a response. Quite disappointing for such a high end place!
Amazing place with beautiful views. The beer list was fantastic. They even had some honest weight! Food was also great as well as service. Did i mention the view though???
Had a great meal.....service was great .....wait staff right on point....could not have been happier
Love the decor. Service was great food was great I will be go back
Went for a bridal shower and it was not good. There were few large tables and the available ones were behind a low wall with people were unable to see gifts. There were too many 2 person booths. Not good for groups or parties.
I just called to see if they had any reservations for 5 people available for Mothers' Day weekend (a little last minute, but figure I would ask and see) and a girl by the name of JJ answered and instead of politely saying "no unfortunately we do not" she began to lecture me on how they receive reservations months in advance for holiday weekends. A simple "no" would have sufficed, but she made me feel stupid for even calling and asking. If their service is anything like I just experienced I'll gladly pass on checking it out.
No staff was very rude.. The waitor was not pleasant.. And it wasxmy birthday.. We sent close to 500.00 on the meal apps and drinks and wine and a few desserts.. Not happy would not go back for that kind of money..
Great food, professional staff. Enjoyed recent visit having dinner and wine at bar
Great steak and even better service, can't wait to come back
Beautiful, rustic and delicious! We all loved our meals! Wonderful service- no complaints! Recommend a reservation
Great service, food, ambiance. The food is worth the price.
The food is so good! The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is due to the troubles I had with my reservation. (Someone changed the name on it, and added an extra reservation under my email. Weird.) Compost cookie ice cream sandwich was amazing (as was the filet, fried eggplant, and zucchini). Definitely worth the trip. Seating was well spaced out and it felt really private.
Have had dinner here several times. Always had a great meal and the scenery is breathtaking.
Worth the 27 mile ride.
The was staff is quite attentive. After that not so good. The ceiling fans were blowing cold air in late fall. The table seemed to be a way to fit more customers in as it was in the walkway & small. Chair was not comfortable as well. The soup was just warm & over spiced. Steak was cold & dark red, not close to medium rare. Carrots & butter were too sweet, yes, they sweeten the butter. The staff earned the 2 stars.
Good service and drinks. They do an amazing job recommending drinks and taste fantastic!!! Definitely add this stop to your MA list
Super food choices and delicious.
From appetizers to meal to desserts..
Best steak I have had in a long time... Brie grilled cheese app was great start for us..
Not a cheap night out, but never disappoints. Great food, knowledgeable servers, and a pleasant ambience made for a great birthday dinner. The new menu changes make for difficult choices but the lamb shoulder ragu on black pepper gnocchi did not disappoint. Steaks were delicious as always.
The new bar is a great addition to the restaurant. The only reason that I don't give this place five stars is that a beef place should have better beef. With that exception, the food is excellent.
This might well be the best restaurant in New England. You're a maniac if you don't get a steak. The filet melts like butter, don't even need the knife.
Friendly staff, good food. I'm vegetarian and they have always had one main course option. I've been here a couple of times and have consistently found their food a little salty. Wonderful vegetables grown on in their own garden and greenhouse. A true farm to table restaurant. On the more expensive side, about $25-45 for a main dish. The cost seems mostly to be the meat, as the vegetarian options have always been on the lower end. I will likely go back for special occasions (I don't eat out very frequently though).
Food was Great, people that work make it a great experience. Will make it are go to place .
Great food, beautiful setting, our server was exceptional, overall top shelf! I will DEFINITELY go again.
One of my favorite restaurants. Awesome food, drink, and service. They grow some of their own veggies in their green house. Had my wedding rehearsal dinner here and 1 and 2 year wedding anniversary dinners. Try the crab cakes!!
Great place. It's always busy though so come early..
This place is great. Just make sure to make a reservation ahead of time.
Great scenery. Very nice place and great service. The food was good but not great.
Everything about Gibbet Hill is amazing! Food, service, atmosphere, everything!
Very well organised and convenient place. They provide generous portions and for inexpensive rates. I loved the menu a lot and the waiters were very friendly and chatty. I recommend this place.
One of my favorite places. Took off one star. Food was great. Had reservations for a special occasion at a window seat. They sat us at the patio doors looking at the parking lot. Not very special. Server was not friendly.
Beautiful location in small New England setting with very good food and service. Perfect location for any occasion. It is a "go to" for fine dining.
Very busy on Friday night. The hostess suggested that we try the bar seating as the tables were a 75 minutes wait. The bar hostess found two seats around the bar and we had a great meal. Steak tips, garlic potatoes and mushrooms. Delicious. Also, try the Gibbett Hill Ale. It's an IPA, but not too hoppy and full body. I had two, which I hardly ever indulge in. Good food, good drinks and a friendly staff. Enjoy.
I went to the barn at gibbet hill grill for a wedding, the staff was pleasant to work with. The food was amazing and the entire feel of the place was great. It's nice to get away from the city and spend time here where you can see the cows in the pasture and enjoy nature as you have your meal. I would definitely recommend this place and can't wait to go back.
Excellent mix of steakhouse and country inn dining; food is deliciously cooked to your specifications; seasonal menus provide variety; very popular, so make reservations well in advance.
Waitress was attentive and friendly, food was delicious, my steak tips were cooked perfectly. Definitely make a reservation, it was PACKED on a Wednesday.
Food was unbelievable and the ambiance is terrific. Love it!
Delicious food. Great prices! Lovely staff! Wonderful experience!
Amazing food and drinks!! Portion size is definitely small for price but every bite is worth it!
Had a nice Porterhouse steak. Even the small one gives you something to take how. I had mashed potatoes an brussel sprouts. Both we delicious.
This is a beautiful farm to table steak house. The steaks are remarkable. They also have fun specialty cocktails. The shrimp I added to my steak dinner were a bit overcooked and lackluster but everything else made up for it. The chocolate pot de creme desert is a must try.
Excellent food and nice selection. Lovely old barn and stone fireplace yet elegant and friendly. I enjoyed the sweet potato mash - yummy! Cornbread with maple butter, and carrot ginger soup. All local and seasonal, bit pricey but worth it!
Our server was friendly, professional, excellent. The food was great, as always. And the burning fireplace warmed a winter night.
Pricey but good. Get a steak or tips. Burger isn't worth what it cost.
ANAZING!!!!!!!!! Third time here. LOVE this restaurant. Amazing food, farm to table. Service is on point, very friendly, polite. Drinks and food on point.
The price is worth it!!!!!!! The chef, cooks, staff......AMAZING.
Another must do place to go for supper, great drinks, bartender is very knowledgeable and bar is very well stocked.
It was and is a favorite when we lived in Hollis, NH.
Had a pre wedding dinner for my son. Ambiance and service was top notch, drinks good, but I've knocked off two stars for the steak. I guess I was expecting excellence. They grow their own cows, thar never even leave town (they are slaughtered in town as well). I ordered the dry aged steak (the most expensive cut). It was "ok" at best. A bit grisley but flavorful, but not excellent. The desserts were good. Overall I might give them one more try, but if the steak does not improve, it's off the list.
Great food, great ambiance, and changes menu enough to make my wife really happy.
Excellent food,..Shepherds pie was out of this world. You won't make a reservation for the same day though. Plan for NEXT week at the earliest....busy place.
Totally worth the drive. My steak was perfectly cooked. Everything was fresh. Tomatoes are grown on site and picked today. Cocktails were amazing. Our waitress was very knowledgable and pleasant. The only downside is that it's extremely difficult to get a reservation here.
We also loved Thanksgiving at the barn last year. Real winner!
Great food and service! Knows how to do gluten free well
Amazing steaks, great appetizers and desserts... Bar serves up some innovative cocktails and has a solid beer selection. The new bar area is great! Gibbet Hill is always packed and rightfully so.
The place is nice and roomy, the menu was enchanting and the prices were very inexpensive. fast, productive service and very welcoming waiters. Highly recommended.
this place is wonderful. is feels safe during the pandemic. the ambience is very relaxed, the food is good. but you will need a reservation, it is always packed.
Delicious farm-to-table food in a lovely, pastoral setting. Great food, great service, and great ambiance. Make a reservation - it fills up quickly!
Great food, terrific views, superb service. This is a super dining spot in an out of ordinary location that is worth your attention for any ocassion.
Attended a wedding here. Amazing food and beautiful view.
We always love Gibbett Hill. Service is always great. Should have had the pork instead of the meatloaf as, well, it was meatloaf. We will always go back when time and money allow.
Great venue. Randy we found out is from Nashua. Service was excellent!
Very good place to eat great service and the food is amazing
Celiac friendly! Amazing gluten free food. Knowledgable staff!
Solid new ramen spot in Chinatown. I ordered the Shiro Original Tonkotsu for takeout and it was ready for pick up in less than 10 minutes.
