This is an amazing restaurant. The atmosphere is phenomenal. The staff is extremely accommodating and respectful. All of the food is amazing as well, from the bread to the dessert.

The only downside, is that everything is very filling, and I was not able to eat as much as I wanted to during the meal.

Food was on point. I thought walking in that it may be a bit stuffy and little pretentious. I couldn't have been further off. The staff was courteous but not over the top. The food was well executed but not excessive. The atmosphere was much more laid back than I anticipated but still classy. I don't give 5 stars often but they deserve it

Lovely ambiance. Great drinks. Good service. Main courses cold (appetizer hot though) and not delicious. Called us twice about our reservation for 5 people then didn't have a table ready even though it was early evening and restaurant was mostly empty at our arrival time.

Beautiful inside & out. Gorgeous land around the restaurant and barn. Delicious food, great cocktails and beer. Hanging out in the bar is one of my favorite spots to be. Potato crusted haddock is my favorite meal.

Went for an informal wedding reception in the upstairs area of the main restaurant. The decor was great, had a wonderful old age colonial barn feel. Since we had a limited menu for I can only comment on what we had. The haddock with bacon corn chowder was phenomenal. I probably could have been happy with just the chowder in a bowl. The young ladies serving did an AWESOME job staying on top of everything. I would love to go back and experience their full menu if only we didnt live pit of state.

Wonderful staff, wonderful food, wonderful views. Everything tasted delicious. I ordered a med rare filet and my husband a med rare ribeye. Mine arrived well and his was medium. Mine was replaced immediately, but the replacement was still medium. Regardless of the errors in temperature, the meat was great! Highly recommend!

I was hoping to be wowed but it wasn't anything sepcial. I had good food and our waitress was really nice. However I made a reservation 4 weeks ahead of time and when we arrived we had to wait for our table which is ok but when we were sat they put us in the middle of the dinning room and it felt like we were in the way and eating with other guests. Our waitress came to take our order and she brought me the wrong drink twice. This was our anniversary and it may not seem like much but when you plan ahead and get a babysitter and drive 45 mins and then spend a hundred and twenty dollars on dinner you kinda are hoping for more.

Great food! Nice atmosphere for fine dining. You had best make reservations days in advance. During busy diner times waits can be 1 to 2 hours. Bring your check book too because this place is not for budget dining.

I love the atmosphere especially, but the food and service were perfect! We started with the grilled cheese and tomato soup appetizer which were out of this world and then proceeded to have steak tips with mashed potato which were cooked perfectly. I highly recommend!

If i was able to give 10 stars i would. One of the best restaurants I've ever been to. The location, the interior, the food and service all deserve 10 stars. I live in RI, we have some of the best restaurants around. Gibbet Hill is my go to restaurant and well worth the hour drive.

Was in town because I am a coach bus driver who brought a girls basketball team from Cambridge out to the groton school for a game. Decided to go here. First I had an appetizer of seared scallops which was delicious. Then I had the filet mignon which was the most tender I've ever had it. However I will give some criticism about it. It was too salty, at least on the outside. And not as juicy as it could've been on the inside. The side of mushrooms were not the highest of quality. They had a really funky, strong flavor that I couldn't palate. I still like this place and will give it another try one day.

Amazing Food, Services, and Atmosphere. The staff is amazing at handling the following that they've developed. I'd highly suggest making a reservation on their website or by calling the staff. My wife has a gluten allergy and they have a separate gluten free menu. Can't say enough good things about this place.

Steaks were perfect, sides definitely need work. Not sure why the caesar dressing was so bland. The smashed potatoes looked and tasted old, Brussels over fried so that there was no substance left. Mac and cheese was delicious. Desserts were good as well. Would give it another try. Someone should tell the male manager to do more than stare into the dining room, it's ok to talk to guests!

My husband and I had the opportunity to dine here via a gift certificate from my mom. Not only is it located on a gorgeous farm out in a gorgeous part of western mass, but it also offers incredibly fresh farm to table options that you can't find anywhere else. Beautiful experience. It is on the pricier end, but you definitely get what you pay for and it is wort the trip. Indulge yourself and make a reservation, because this place gets packed! Highly recommend.

Gibbet Hill is an excellent restaurant with locally sourced food and vegetables that are often grown on site. The food and service is excellent, and more than worth the cost. Over the years we've tried various cuts of beef and have never been disappointed.

I'd highly recommend a visit if you're in Groton. Walking around the outside of the restaurant is also a great way to get an appetite with beautiful rolling landscape.

First visit here and it's already the BEST place I've ever eaten!!!

Rachel "Ray" is exceptional. Her passion and courteous nature shine. Even if I didn't love everything about this place, I'd still to back for her!

I ordered the pea falafels, which were to die for with the beer yogurt sauce, tabouleh, and edible flowers. So moist and flavorful. For my entree, I got the filet mignon, which was perfectly cooked medium, and the mushrooms and heirloom tomatoes. So fresh, vibrant and tender. The absolute best steak I've ever had in my life! And for dessert, the berry almond bread pudding melted in my mouth and sent me to heaven.

I am so excited to come back and try more of what Gibbett Hill has to offer!!! Thank you so very much!

Ray is awesome sauce :)

It's not often I find a restaurant that matches my farm to table preference, that amazes me with tastes I haven't experienced before. Add to it a peerlessly green view, and I'm in love. Worth any wait!

Gibbet Hill Grill is known for their farm to table concept.. and it helps when the food tastes great!

I had the pleasure of coming here for dinner and I have to say that when I came in here, I definitely felt like I was in a nice establishment. The restaurant itself is a good size, with seating available upstairs as well. The layout and ambiance resembles a barn and is appropriate for their farm to table (or as they call it, farm to fork!) prerogative.

For starters, I got the Cindy's Crab Dip. The dip tasted great with the crackers they gave. From the taste, the dip felt it had a minimal amount of mayo in it, which is my actual preference. There were also some good chunks of crab on it and this made me dip my cracker in the dip and search for them!

And for the main course... I got the 24 oz porterhouse steak! The steak tasted juicy and cooked just the way I liked it on the edges (medium rare). Some meat close to the bone was pretty rare, which could be a problem for some, but that's why I get my steak medium rare as I can tolerate a steak cooked from rare to medium without any crazy issues on my end.

Oh dessert, I chose you Mascarpone Creme Brulee! And I made the right choice. It had just the right amount of sweetness to tell my taste buds that they were satisfied with the meal.

The service was friendly, attentive, and on-point. One thing I recommend is definitely get reservations, as it can get pretty busy here with long waits at peak hours.

I definitely would come back here when I am in the area!

Wonderful location for a party or wedding. We had my Father's 80th birthday party in the restaurant (Gibbett Hill Grill) on a Sunday for 60 people and it was perfect. The food was exceptional. The staff were all very helpful and we were even able to set up a slideshow with our own equipment. We brought in our own cake.

We really enjoy Gibbet Hill and love that they expanded their bar area but would like some cleaner menu options. There is a lot of dairy and fat going on. On the other hand, with the setting and appeal to wedding parties, the finer points of their menu probably won't make a difference to their bottom line so we tend to go elsewhere unless we're in the immediate area.

Amazing! Went in for Easter lunch. Even though it was a reduced, fixed menu the steak was cooked to perfection. Appetizers were wonderful and dessert was fantastic. Highly recommend Gibbet for a great dinner out.

This is one of the best places to get stake in the area. Also the views are incredibly. The cattle is raised on premise so you can watch. There is a lot of farm to table items on the menu. There is a good wine list with Coravin by the glass offering on some of the more expensive bottles. The beer selection is good as well for the smaller section that they have. This place is worth the drive. Also the reservations book up quick so book early.

Wonderful view and excellent service! We arrived late because we got lost and they were beyond accommodating which isn't the easiest for restaurants right now with Covid regulations. They have seating windows which is nice so you know how long you have before they expect to seat again. Food is always very high quality as everything is local. The chef does a great job highlighting vegetables from their own garden and overall doing rustic farm style with great success!

Up there. Good size Apples.
Use to mess with the jermakins
When they worked for Donald may that was some good times

The Gibbet Hill Grill is one of our favorite restaurants. Perfectly located on old farm land off of Route 40 in Groton, the ambiance both inside and outside of the restaurant building is great! The restaurant is only open for dinner, and the menu is an eclectic combination of fine steaks and upscale comfort food. The Shepherd's Pie, which I've had several times, is a mix of ground beef and cubed lamb, and is wonderfully seasoned and prepared. The meatloaf, an unusual item on a menu at a restaurant like this one, is certainly worth ordering as well. Among the steaks, the Hanger Steak is a rare treat; it is a cut that one seldom sees served in restaurants and it has a flavor and texture that is distinctly its own. If the various comfort food items on the menu cannot draw you away from ordering one of their many steaks, no worries--the steaks they serve are delicious, and in my experience, invariably prepared perfectly. You really cannot go wrong here. I wish they were open for lunch on the weekends.

Wonderful first dining experience at Gibbet Hill Grill. Super fresh ingredients, would recommend getting the beet salad to start, you can taste how fresh and organic their veggies are. Butternut squash soup was delicious, very subtle flavor leaves you wanting more. Very comfortable dining and bar area, lots of seating while you wait for your table. House made Gibbet Hill beer was hoppy and delicious. Definitely would recommend getting a reservation a week in advance 3+ parties. Would definitely come back here.

I heard about this place for years and was excited to visit. Went early with reservations so no waiting, got seated immediately. Apps were awesome! We got the brussel sprouts and short rib. Main courses were hanger steak and seared monkfish. Steak was ordered medium and it came out rare to medium rare at best. I do not send plates back to the kitchen ever #(waiting) so a little disappointed on my part. Presentation was awfull looked like the chef just threw the meat on the plate off the grill and just sent it. There may have been some arugula tossed on top and that's it, just a under cooked steak on a plate. The monkfish was excellent I was told. In closing if you like rickety chairs and the farmhouse thing I would recommend. I would also recommend getting reservations! Service was great!
