Georgian Pontiac Review

**updated to reflect purchase #2 from Mark**

When looking to upgrade our truck we again went back to Georgian to see Mark who was so amazing back in 2013. We did not expect Mark to remember us after 5 years, but sure enough he did. Mark took the time to understand what we were looking for and never pressured us at all. We fell in love with the truck almost right away but not the price. Mark worked with us to make sure we got the best price for trade in on our older truck and get the best price for the new one. I thought buying a vehicle with a 3 year old would be the most painful experience but thanks to Mark and his drawer full of toys our son was happy so we could focus on the truck.

From start to finish Mark was kind, understanding and a great listener to us and our son who kept throwing plastic spiders during the paperwork. Even with all the distractions our son ''threw" at him he was warm hearted and kind. We would definitely buy another vehicle from Mark again in a heartbeat. Mark is still the greatest sales person we have ever met (even when we shopped around for deals with this and the previous purchases he was hands down the best)

We were looking at an SUV about 6 months ago and came into Georgian, Mark helped us out and even thou we did not buy one from him we remembered the amazing service that he gave us.

Now while life has changed again for us we found that the SUV won't be practical for where we are moving so we started to look at Trucks. As soon as we walked in we knew to find Mark since he was the reason we came back to Georgian and never looked anywhere else.
Mark gave us very personalized service and actually listened to what we needed and got to know us as people and not just a customer. Mark gave us an amazing buying experience, the best one we ever had. Even with us just buying another vehicle 6 months prior at another companies dealership we found Mark to be the best sales person by far.

The whole experience was amazing, even doing all of the paperwork was fun. Rheanna was fun to work with, she is very bubbly and didn't make us focus on the money but on the truck and how it will suit our lifestyle perfectly up in Pickle Lake. She explained all the coverages that are offered and never once pressured us into buying them.

We have our new truck which we love and we love the price we got it for. After the papers were signed Mark never just shook our hand and let us go on our way he actually treated us like we were very valuable. He took the time to go over the truck and explain everything which made us feel relaxed. Mark became a friend and not a sales person at the end of the sale. Whenever friends or family are looking for a vehicle we will always recommend Mark and tell them that its worth the drive if they live further away.

Mark was as determined as I that I got the vehicle I wanted. He was courteous and worked hard to secure my business with Georgian.

Came to look at some trucks. Aug 8. Reception said she'll have someone come out. Nobody showed up after 20 min. Went back to see what's going on and doors were locked 5 pm sharp. Smooth...you guys lost a good sale.
Update - My husband was not pleased he was trolled to get his wife's name during a phone call by sales and management to confirm if this was his review. But he was pleased that they did read it. We're shocked to hear that the receptionist might be fired over this. Perhaps sales reps didn't bother to come out because it was late in the day? "She doesn't make a lot of money anyways" was relayed.....really???

I had purchased my previous vehicle from Mark Wilkey, And it qas a generally good experience. Mark pays attention to detail and does what he can to get the 'deal you need'. We drove our 2012 Yukon XL to Florida a few days after we bought it and it is a great touring vehicle!

Visited Georgian Chevrolet a few weeks ago and met with Wayne Morrison. I did my due diligence and went to numerous dealers in Barrie and test drove a variety of SUV's which I couldn't help but compare to the Chevy Equinox! Wayne went above and beyond, making himself available to me on his vacation and I purchased a 2019 Chevy Equinox last week and I couldn't be happier!!!

A quick oil change and I was out in less then 30 minutes. Staff were all very knowledgeable and friendly. Thanks guys!

Had a great experience at Georgian Chevrolet. Nice atmosphere and friendly people. Are salesman Ryan Tuck was knowledgeable, very helpful, and honest. Larry was Excellent! He gave us space to browse and was there when we had questions. He provided all the options and asked questions to make recommendations. Buying a used vehicle is never an easy task! We felt very comfortable and welcome from the first moment we walked into Georgain and meet the girls at the front desk. We always go in and ask for Mike and he wasnt there at the time so he called Oscar for us. Oscar was very friendly, helpful and knowlegable! We explained what we were looking for in a vehicle and it was smooth sailing from that moment on! We are very happy with our Chevy Equinox. We will definitely go back and recommend Oscar to anyone!

I just purchased a brand new vehicle from here & the overall experience was a 10++! We have always taken our vehicles here to be serviced by our amazing advisor Chris Campbell; who then reccomend Brad in sales when it came time for me to look for a new car. Worst customer service imaginable. Took the wife's car in yesterday for an exhaust leak and to have them look into why the service light was on. I received a call from the service rep an hour later saying that they did not have the part in stock, would have to have it shipped from Woodstock and it would take a day. This is the second time this has happened, and he quoted me $525.00, I went with option #2.
Option #2, he said was to send the car over to Midas (which apparently they do sometimes) and see if they could do it. He called me back awhile later with a new quote, $327.00, which I obviously gave the go ahead. When he called a few hours later to say the car was ready I asked him what time they were opened till , 6pm I was told. I arrived to pick up my car at 5:27pm , paid $367 (funny how they never add the tax to their quotes) and departed. I had just pulled onto the street and noticed the check engine light was still on, so I promptly turned around and went back. When I entered the service bays there were 2 guys there, my rep, I was told had already gone home. When I explained my issues regarding the incomplete service and that I had told the rep that morning what was to be done, Chris (service rep) laughed and said that the rep in the morning must have been distracted by my eyes,WTF is that suppose to mean?
I called Midas this morning and the gentleman on the phone told me that they didn't even have the part in stock to repair the make/model of my car, but to feel free to bring it in and have them look at it.
Obviously the issue is more than incompetent work, or ignorant customer service, but if Midas is doing the work why am I paying Georgian Pontiac, and what cut are they getting for doing nothing??? Won't be going back, still waiting for a call back from the Customer Service Manager (Scott).

Thanks for your response. We had an appointment to have the snow tires switched over and they hadn't brought the vehicle into the shop 2 hours after the original appointment time. I had to leave to pick up my son from school so took the car with me. They were able to rectify it the next day but it was a very large waste of my afternoon.

Both Wayne and Rheanna went out of their way to be friendly and welcoming to help me make the best car choice and to help me arrange financing. They worked with me through some delays in financing and were able to make a stressful experience fun. Thank you!

I enjoy my 2012 GMC 71, time now permits my review.
While paying for my new truck undercoating is mentioned for 600? dollars, I said NO, I want oil based Product. I am assured it is,"with better new technology" Not true, it is water based flakes and washes? off (stained drive in rain, soap runs too) My truck frame was rusted underneath this peeling, flaked product. I was promised it would be REDONE with a good product, I called the rustproof Co and He had not been told to do it Properly (his Idea "remove old then reapply") it was resprayed with same cheap garbage that does not adhere, penetrate metal or stop rust. (He told me himself he Used a better oil like rustproof for his Customers) Looking at all the Rusty truck frames & brake lines is Proof some Products used don't work. If you care about your investment choose a GOOD rustproof.

My husband and I went to visit Alex because the lease on our family vehicle was ending. Alex found us a great vehicle and was easy to deal with. He worked with our budget and we are very happy with our new service. I would recommend everyone to Georgian Chev and Alex S. thanks again!

We have had the pleasure of dealing with Cole Edwards for a couple years now and he is the reason we keep coming back.

We came into the dealership one night pretty much knowing it was never possible to own a truck . As I was walking around the show room, Cole approached me and I then explained my situation. Without any hesitation Cole gave me several honest options. The one thing that thoroughly impressed me about him was when I thought the deal was dead, he called me out of the blue a week later and said he found a way to make the deal work, (he never forgot about me!!!!).

This past week we came in and bought our second truck and without Cole it would not have happened.

Excellent Service: Brought car to dealer on Thursday night after the service desk closed. The manager came out to assure me i could still drive the car safely. I made an appointment the next morning at 7:30 and got in the same day. They even drove me to work in Alliston. I could have had a car rental for free if the repair was covered under warantee. When it was fixed that afternoon it was fully covered under warantee. They went out of their way to ensure the experience was as painless as possible. Thank you.

Had a bad experience with the service dept, the service manager Bjorn Surmann came to the rescue, wrote me an apologetic letter and followed it up with a full refund check delivered to my house. Can't be more pleased with this type of service which hard to find in this day and age.

Went to book an appointment to get a recall fixed. I waited10 mins after being told to speak to the guys in blue . They were talking with each other and looked like I didnt matter. I will take by business elsewhere. Im also considering changing my car and guess who will not get my business!!!!!!

My first visit at this dealership was extremely disappointing. I went to get my oil changed, and they didn t bother to wash my car or vacuum out my mats, which literally every other dealership I have been to has done. However, that wasn t the worst of it. After leaving the dealership, I woke up the next morning to see that I had a flat tire - I got it professionally looked at just to find out when the dealership touched my tires, they loosened the valve, making my tire flat. I had to miss work because of this, my boyfriend left work, we had to buy an air compressor, all because they didn t do such a simple tire check properly. I called the dealership and all they told me they would do is have me come in and wait to have my car washed and they wouldn t admit to my flat tire. For a simple oil change I had to deal with so many problems - I wouldn t recommend this dealership to anyone

We were looking for two Used vehicles to fit into our price range went to three other dealerships and are still waiting to here back from them... When I went into Georgian we didnt realize they closed at 6 we arrived at 540 pm the saleman Brooks Price was very polite and informed us he would stay as long as it took to get our info and answer all our questions within two days he found us two cars well within our budget......
Easy and very polite staff that helped along the way I would recommend this dealership to everyone looks like a bigtown dealership but still has smalltown feel for Customer Service....

We love dealing with Georgian in Barrie all of the Staff there is awesome. Brad Mullens our sales consultant is very knowledgeable about is vehicles and did a awesome Job in explaining and setting up our Acadia With navigation ,sound system etc . There were a lot of bells and whistles on our car that we never had before and didn't have a clue how to use them , he patiently explained everything to us so we could understand. Brad also told us to call him anytime if we needed help with anything and he has also called on several occasions just to make sure everything was going good . We have bought our last few vehicles at Georgian and from Brad and they haven't disappointed us yet . We have bought a few cars over the years and we didn't realize how enjoyable buying a new vehicle could be until we went to Georgian they make you feel special there ,like one of the family. I bought a Colorado from here in summer of 2019. Steph was my salesperson, and it was easily the best experience with a dealership I've ever had. She was great in finding me a truck for what I needed to pay and giving me a good deal on my Jeep I traded in. I commute daily so I've put lots of kms on already, so I've had quite a few oil changes since and everytime it has been a fine experience. No trying to sell this or that. (At least not yet anyways) A couple I've been in and out in a half hour. And a couple have been 1-2hrs. But it is what it is. People/places get busy. The waiting area is really nice. Even during this pandemic. Everyone is nice/friendly.
So far everything has been great. And provided everything continues the way it is I will definitely give them my first look when it comes time for me to get a new truck.

Excellent service from the sales department and especially my direct sales lead Mr. Sage, who came in on his day off to complete the transaction and has made himself available when out of the office via cell. Great job!

The staff at Georgian Chevrolet was amazing! I was never pressured and they provided me with all the information I requested. Brad Mullen was wonderful to work with. He made sure that I had the right vehicle for me and went over all the different features on site. I would highly recommend Brad to anyone. This truck will last me many years to come, but once its ready to upgrade I'll be returning to Georgian Chevrolet.

Best car dealership I ve dealt with so far.

Ernie Dean Chevrolet put my winter tires on and are storing my summers for the first time. Even though they were incredibly busy, (the first real storm had hit) my afternoon appointment was not delayed nor did they take an excessive amount of time taking care of the work. Slow slow slow. I've taken my car in for a tire rotation appointment, at 9am, it was ready to go at 230 pm. Any servicing, plan on spending hours waiting. Oil changes, 4 hrs at least. Just brutal.

Excellent service from Laura and Eric in the service department. I arrived a few minutes before closing and they took the time to change my flat tire and made arrangements for me to come back the next day for the new tire. Great work guys!

Bought a used 2017 Chrysler Pacifica there this weekend. Was delivered yesterday... My sales person was not there to deliver it ( he we very good sales men) but the person he left to deliver it for me was rather careless. Not particularly interested in helping. And when I came back with my cash for my downpayment to collect the vehical he ignored anyone telling him to come help me...ended up doing all the paperwork at the front desk between 3 different people and then they just kinda shluffed me off. Not kinda service you want when spending 40k on a vehical. I must say the recptionist was very helpful though. We love our vehical but could definitely work on organization and some staffs attitude
