simply delish!! I happened to be in Georgetown early one Friday morning, right before they opened, and only a few people were in line. I joined the line, which moved at a decent pace. I was able to score one of the free #secretflavor cupcakes, which that day was chocolate ganache. My other 3 choices were the cherry cheesecake, lemon cheesecake, and the cherry blossom. I had had the cherry blossom before at a wedding, and was obsessed. The two cheesecake flavors were just out-of-this world good. So they weren't really cupcakes - who cares!!? The graham crust was the shining star of these little gems. My waistline is kind of glad there isn't one of these up in Baltimore, bc I'd be visiting way too often!

A must go when you visit DC. Be prepared for a loooong line of customers waiting for their cupcakes. As seen on TV, they just don't have a delightful look, but they indeed taste like heaven! Please go and try them.

The space is crowded and there are only four tables, which weren't clean. The floor, tables and chairs were full of crumbs. The employees constantly kicked people out for violating the maximum number of people allowed in store. They should have a sign making it clear when it is okay to start lining up inside. The cupcakes I had were a little overcooked, and not as moist as they've been in the past. The flavors, nonetheless, were delicious! I would suggest the managers spend more time on presentation of restaurant as well as kindness towards guests.

These cupcakes definitely lived up to the hype. We are visiting from Buffalo, NY and waited for a half hour in the pouring rain today with no umbrellas to have a taste. We purchased 6 and 4 of us sampled a 1/4 of each. 100% worth every penny and the wait in the soaking rain.

Okay, I stood by my ground for a long time saying Sweet Lobby had the best cupcake in DC. I still think Sweet Lobby's hazelnut chocolate cupcake is the best (especially if you don't like frosting like I do), but Georgetown's Cupcakes are famous for a reason. They are so good! It's worth the line....trust me!

Real classy join and older coue when in to grab some cupcakes and when they came out they found these sweet notes in their bags. After finding the notes they went in to the business and tried to get a refund in which they refused. Sad when the old couple were there admist a pandemic and were supporting their buisness just to be treated like this for wearing a trump hat.

I don't understand what the hype is here. Waited in a long line which was fine but cupcakes were just OK, a bit dry. Cupcake server was grumpy and rude to customers. A 'not sufficiently moist' cupcake is a First world problem for sure. Better cupcakes have been had at my local grocery store.

Despite the bitter 12 degree cold weather, ever present long line still existed, which is a testament to the terrific products and sevices offered. Luckily we only waited 5 minutes in line to order. More than 20 choices available, we ordered a 1/2 dozen for $18. Friendly and efficient cashier took our order and expediter had it ready and packed in less than 2 minutes. We each enjpyed our Red Velvet, Peanut Butter Chocolate, and Double Chocolate cupcakes. Overall excellent experience, highly recommend this outstanding local busines.

Not just TV show hype. This place was and is still one of my favorite places to get a sweet thank you or thank myself. I wish they would shift around the daily specials as it is hard to make it there during the week to get a taste of some of my favorites when I get a sweet tooth.

Line was extremely long in the cold weather. Seems to be a common thing. Not recommended to get at night since they usually only have the cupcakes no one favours left over. Cupcake tasted like cupcake, frosting was a bit too much for me and the sugar did pack a bit of a punch but other than that it's good.

Appreciate the excellent customer service... my daughter ordered Mothers Day cupcakes sent to her Grandmoms and Mother for their special day. The Grandmoms cupcakes arrived on time and in perfect condition; however her Moms order arrived on-time yet melted. Georgetown Cupcakes were right on the situation and sent new delicious cupcakes immediately. Second batch arrived quickly and in great condition!

I don't even feel like I have to say it, but I'll say it. THESE CUPCAKES ARE SO GOOD.
I will be dreaming of the salted caramel cupcake for the rest of my life. Until we meet again...

Got a half dozen, will rank them:

1. Caramel - salty, oozy, soft and sweet. We each got one. I wish I had 100 more.
2. Vanilla Birthday - everything in the world that tries to be birthday cake flavored is trying to be this.
3. PB Fudge - I didn't eat it, but my boyfriend deemed it worthy. Fudge filled.
4. Chocolate - Dense. Thick. Fudgey. Icing. Hardcore chocolate.
5. White chocolate raspberry - Wildcard I picked out for myself, not my favorite combo. Very raspberry-y, fluffy icing. Good, but not decadant, wouldn't get again.

Possibly the worst service Ive seen in US. No wonder you took away review ability on fb. Were scheduled to deliver no later than 1 pm for celebration. No one was answering, nothing, 2 hours LATER , at 3, they deliver. After we already asked for refund because we bough something else. Refusing to give a refund. Will make sure to post everywhere.

I ordered a half dozen from a very nice cashier, then moved to the counter where another employee (not so friendly) packed the order. I noticed she had put the cupcakes into its holders, which hadn't been evenly placed inside the box, then she tilted the box to get into the bag and handed it to me. I was concerned but decided to give her the benefit of the doubt that my cupcakes would be safe. Wrong. After leaving the store I opened the box and this is what I found. I would have been forgiving had these cupcakes tasted amazing, but that too was disappointing. I was about to order online a few dozen for delivery but after this experience, no way. #wasteofmoney

I absolutely love Georgetown cupcakes, they re the only cupcakes I love to eat. I even try to get my friends to buy them, HOWEVER, I ordered 2 dozen, one the April birthday, and one assorted. They messed up my order and sent me the same assorted cupcakes. I paid a arm in and leg because I live in Pa. I tried to reach out, via email and phone. I never received a response, not sure now, if I would ever order them again for delivery, I m very disappointed!

Decadent chocolate and other delicious flavors. Designs are impeccable. Best on the first day, I do not recommend keeping them longer than a day for the best taste. Lines are long if you don't have a pre order. Wait times can be upward of fifteen minutes. Many choices. Staff aren't too helpful as they're rushed. A bit expensive but worth it. If you keep them overnight, take them out of the fridge 2 hours before eating .
