Genesis Security Group Review

I recently called Genesis to add a door contact to our system after a minor renovation. The service person came and said there was a major problem with our system and he disabled everything and said he would come back another time to fix it. Before he came, we had a functioning security system and after he left, we didn't.

No one contacted me and Genesis didn't return my phone call or email. I eventually hired another company and they found major flaws with our system such as a disconnected motion detector, a door with no contact, etc. Based on my experience, they should not be in this business.

I believe this the best company you can find for managing your events! Honestly saying they know what they are doing! I have worked with them for almost 2 years and in the starting i worked with some other companies as well but i can clearly say genesis is having an edge over other s in pretty much everything thing, whether we talk about guards management, stability, trust etc.!

Services offered by Iman are very appreciatable. She always help her co-workers in every circumstances. She possess all leadership qualities.

Worst Security Company to hire and work for i ask one of their "supervisor" and he said "ive been working 12 hours shifts almost everyday without getting not even a washroom break for the last 3 years beacuse im an immigrant, i pee in a cup but i have to stay quiet Or theyll just fire me"

Staff are friendly and helpful i once lost my phone somewhere and one of the staff came with me to look for it and we finally retrieve it.
I wish there's more security down to earth,i know they're just doing their jobs but that day,that security really saved me.

I run a store where these toy cops patrols but never are useful in providing their service. My car gets breaken in ease, there are always lunatics walking around with drugs, idiots peeing on the building glass show case and theif running around inside but these guys are never here to do their only job "Secure the area". They claim they are serious and professional in what they do and when I ask "if so, why does it take over 30 minutes all the time when we call the emergency line? there is suppose to be a security 24 hours on sight and the patrolled area only takes 5 minutes to walk around?". They couldnt answer the question ofcourse since they dont want to come solve the issue because they are nothing but cowards. Their service is to avoid problem and sleep in their mini office at the building. By the way, their mini office is less then 1 minute away from my store. When in need of help, you are alone. These guys are totally useless.

On Wednesday March 13, 2019 at 3:00 I witnessed a Genesis Security Supervisor out maneuver a patient to take the last parking stall at Dr. Patel s office at 11664 223 Street Maple Ridge. When I mentioned his inconsiderate action he told me to quit harassing him or he would contact the RCMP present at Anita s Place. The patient in obvious distress parked across the street and hobbled to the clinic.

If you look for a job avoid them,
And if you are a customer also avoid them , because they have unprofessional and rude staff.

I cant find the words to describe how horrible this company is. I was locked out of my work parking garage because of a poorly working key card. After 40 minutes on the phone I was finally told they could not help. The dispatcher repeatedly lied to me saying a car was on the way when it wasn t. They shouldn t be trusted to guard any building, party or gathering. They are utterly worthless and unhelpful. Please avoid them at all costs. I will be taking my problem to Advanced Parking as well.

Genesis Security team is amazing! The management and staff are competent, professional and well trainded to de-escalate situations. One of the managers, Ha Nhi, is highly skilled, organized and she is compassionate yet stern.

Honestly the worst service provider ever. Almost allowed a car to hit a giant uhaul and said traffic safety is not their thing while standing in the middle of the road. I wouldnt choose this service, EVER!

I've been employed with Genesis for 4 years! Great Company, Amazing team work and Friendly coworkers! The contracts and shifts are great!

I recently hired Genesis Security for my broken garage gate over the weekend until I get it fixed.
In the first day I went down to check on the guard and I found him sleeping in his car and I informed their operationsoperations manager about the incident.
On the second day I also came down to check and I found that there is no guard on site, I waited for an hour until he finally came from the break as he claims, which I hesitate that there was actually someone there the whole time .
I disbuted the charge with my Bank and got all my money back, however I don't recommend this company as they are unprofessional and rude.

There is too much favouritism.. they will make supervisor who just joined the company with no experience even. One who even dont know how to call for break on radio. Girls* in operation give chance to new comers.. most of punjabis use phones at vcc or even other events(having good relationships in operation) friends to roommates .. and they screw other people.. .

Owner should take care of it.. else you are losing all.

I have encountered Genesis Security in the Vancouver Downtown area and they have always shown professionalism, care and dedication to ensuring the safety of our community. They have walked me safely to my car in an underground parkade, and their constant checks in the parkades have made me feel at ease when leaving my car there for hours.

The only ones who give 5 star to this company is who work for them,

This company is not qualified to deal with people safety and peace.
Someone broke in to my car today at 9:30 am.
Called security no one showed up. Customer service reps in the kiosk did not do anything. Very very unsafe area to park. When going to Keffer st always park on the street.
Called customer service to get video footage for Vancouver police department but there are no cameras on premises. The lot is protected by Geniesis security. It was a absolute joke calling the security. I spent couple hours there waiting for vpd to finish up not a single security showed up. The lot is filled with posters of your guards and K9 units, but where were they at 9 - 11 am?
Staff is ridiculously unqualified, unprofessional and rude. Reported this company to BBB. I recommend looking in to changing the company a poster and sign business, at least that way your not dealing with peoples safety and peace.

They are not professional. Just try to save your money as much as possible. Even they gave work to the ones they know. Don't treat everyone equally. To some guards they give alot of work while to others nothing.

Where does this company find it's guards? No dress code, no hygiene and poor spoken communication. The guards that showed had mismatching uniforms, spent more time playing on there cell phones than doing the job. One guard showed with super skinny jeans that were 5 inches to short with no socks and elf shoes and spent the evening complaining he was cold and wanted to go inside, when the job was outside. Stay away from this company

Might just be the worst security company you can get. I rather pay my grandmother as she would do a better job. The guards are all scrawny and don t know any English if barely, they don t act on anything and look very fragile. I m not sure where they find their security guards. Do not recommend.

Horrible service, hired 3 guys for a party and they all came dressed in 3 different uniforms. One person could not speak English. I asked for presence and I got very average looking guys. Nothing was done to fix the problem when I called in upon their arrival and nothing was done when I emailed the person who sent me the invoice. Would not use their services again.

I feel very proud being a member of genesis security group. Been 2 years working with them and it s been an amazing experience. Looking forward to contributing in upcoming projects and representing the company.

They are not allowed to touch people. But this one guy at the employment and income assistance office in metrotown is always putting his hand on people and is extremely rude. I understand that he sometimes has to deal with unruly people, but that doesn't mean he has to be one. They need to learn how to talk to others.

For some reson I believe almost all the 5 stars reviews are either fake reviews or employees who are forced to Leave good reviews.
The proof of that is huge amount of 5 star reviews in short period of time.
And they only have one review in thier account which is weird
So try to avoid them at all costs.

The owner of this company doesn't know nothing about the quality of the service, it's disaster,

I work with Genesis security and they are one of the people to work with. They got an amazing team there. And my experience has been nothing but great.

As with any company or organisation, there is bound to be issues along the way. After 3 years with the company I've found services to be steady and fair if you allow yourself the time and energy to be fair. Supervising in any capacity can be challenging but with a team, the work becomes less stressful. As an industry veteran, I am thankful of the opportunity to work alongside some of the best to secure the events in Vancouver. I can only hope that in time, a company like Genesis is able to service much larger contracts and that I will be honoured and ready when that day comes.

Totally shocked by the horrible service. One guard would sit in their car and chat on the phone and the other one looked and acted weak and feable. I don't know where they find these people or if they see a day of training. We had them for our massive high end event and they were next to useless. We had customers bring it up and it ruined our image. Fired them after a week of horrible work...

Hired genesis to protect some prisoners and they ended up HANGING THEMSELVES. Indian guard tried to use a BVM to revive her but it didn t work. Bike guard looked on indifferently.

One of the best security companies to gain experience from. I ve worked with Genesis Security for 3 years and in that time I ve gained a lot of valuable knowledge. From working in the office as operations assistant to working events as a security supervisor, I can say that Genesis security has built up my resume.

Their standards for hiring are incredibly low: I have had to deal with guards who didn't know how to use their radios, didn't speak English (COMMUNICATION is very important in this line of work), begin demanding to leave sites early, and I have had guards start crying.
I have been sent on sites with improper information, false information, and at times NO information.
They constantly put their guards in dangerous situations with zero preparation. For example: The welfare offices were high stress locations and the only thing guards were given to handle those situations were faulty walkie talkies. Just to give you some perspective DRESSEW (the store for arts and crafts) has a different security company who gets to wear a protective vest. While being threatened by people violently brandishing used needles Genesis guards get thin, nearly translucent, shirts.
Do not work for them do not hire them.

I have worked with Genesis for more than one year. According to me, it's the best Security Company because every day I learn new skills from this security such as customer service, teamwork, communication and decision-making skills. I have worked at the Vancouver Convention Centre, Harbour Convention Centre, BC place and many more different locations. These guys should be reported to the BBB. They are ridiculously rude and beyond unprofessional. When employees abuse their power and are not properly trained they should be held legally liable. Do not hire Genesis if your business has any respect for itself and its customers.

These guys are rude, unqualified amateurs. They have been harassing peaceful picketers at the Hard Rock picket line. Thug rents cops!

I found the guard sleeping in his car and I called their operations center and they never did anything about it.
I won't use them again, because they are useless and I don't recommend anyone to use their services, because they are terrible.

i noticed many of the genesis security guards on their cell phones while on duty at the cloverdale rodeo over the weekend, and not paying attention to what is going on around them, a lady with her daughter tried to get the attention of one guard walking , talking on his phone - while trying to ask him a question - his response was iam on break go ask someone else

I finally had enough of the fast talk and a life time of empty promises from the VP. This company is going in the wrong direction Prices Go Up Up and Service And Quality Goes Waaay Down......
