Centrally located and good accommodation for the price

Friendly staff, clean environment, not noisy for a hostle, edgy and well located.

The breakfast is delicious, the staff is very friendly, the only problem are the rooms. We have a room for 8 people and only a tiny little shower and a tiny little toilet.

To see Hamburg really recommendable. There is only breakfast and that is okay. Recommended for Traveler. You can see from the room directly on the main station. No other hotel is so close.
What is very admirable is that EVERY BED is a power outlet and 2 USB ports.

Very good location near the central station. However, a little well expensive in relation to the room's condition, in my taste.
But all right!

We arrived before the check in and the service was horrible. First the guy didn t explain how we can do to leave our luggage before the check in. He didn t give us much time and was not really welcoming. Then the locker machines accept only coins and do not give back change. So we ended up paying mooore than we had to. And finally when it was time for the check in it took us 1hour to do the check in!!!!! 1 HOUR?!!!!!!!!!!!
I would not recommend this place AT ALL!

No perfect location, good service, nice rooms, nice breakfast, lots of entertainment.

We went as a school trip to Hamburg and our teachers chose this host. Unfortunately the selection does not seem to have been good. We first had to stand outside for 45 minutes until we got our room cards. Then the house rules were read to us, in which among other things is that in the rooms neither eaten nor to be drunk (except water). After arriving in the room we were shocked even more. The rooms are quite narrow, and the bathroom and shower are so small that you barely fit in, let alone dry off. The cleanliness of the beds left a lot to be desired. Several of our pillows were also slightly yellowish. The only good thing is the good Wi-Fi reception.

Very lively place and you cant get better city center location, perfect if you are using the train as means of transportation. Beware of the sites you book through....I ordered single room and when I arrived it was a dorm room. However the hostel respected my booking, so all respect to this place.

So today I'm out of the shithole and so I'm writing a review.
So the check-in begins with unfriendly employees, with whom all the usual paperwork is done and then the chip cards are issued, but unfortunately I did not get any information about anything, I did not even know that our conversation was over. Also, I have not been told when the checkout is or whether there is a late checkout or the most important where the entrance to the elevator or staircase is! I first wandered around for 10 minutes until another hotel guest led me to the stairwell. I should fill out a damage report where I should write down the damage and then sign it.
After a 6 hour train ride, I have better things to do than "examine" the room, which is too small!
Let's start with the usual part of the shower and toilet: the shower is CLEARLY TOO SMALL and the fixed shower head is not suitable for me. For my size, drying off is impossible in the shower 0.5m2 and the sink is the size of the palm of my hand. When brushing your teeth you can't even rinse your mouth because the small shelf above the sink is in the way and there is no space to stretch back.
Then we come to the usual "accessories" of the hotel room.
There are no wardrobes for clothes but old metal boxes under the bed, some of which you can't even get out to open.
There are NO towels, no shampoo, no shower gel, basically there are no except for the beds and the metal boxes.
The cleanliness left something to be desired.
Sleeping is really difficult because it is really really loud in the hotel bar and the noise is spread out to the hotel room.
And while we're at the hotel bar.
The bar is MUCH TOO EXCELLENT, it was called everyday happy hour cocktails, but the bartender said no happy hour on the weekend, so I thought, yes, one goes for 7.50 but what I got was a complete disappointment! A 0.2l glass as if it wasn't small enough, the whole glass is filled with ice! Firstly, far too little cocktail and secondly, far too cold, you get a sore throat.
At check-in you get chip cards with which you can open the hotel rooms, you also need them at the main entrance and the entrance to the stairwell, everything is good except you have to put the damn chip card 8-10 in and out until it works.
Now I come to the positive and that is the location, nice right at the main train station.
What I also like is that there is a kicker in the lobby, but unfortunately it was already pretty messed up with which you don't have so much fun anymore.
Unfortunately, I can't say anything positive as the hotel is too expensive for the circumstances, even if the location is very good.
I'm sorry but I will never visit the hotel again.

Hostel is central, but rooms are tiny. The bathrooms in the rooms are reminiscent of a Dixiklo. Washing is hardly possible there, moreover, neither towels nor a soap in the room are available.
Staff was mostly unfriendly and hardly spoke German.

For that it is right on the Hamburg main station: Top price / performance ratio. If you do not expect more than a hostel, you will not be disappointed either.

I think it was expensive to pay for the room I got.

Only stay if you have to!
Location: right outside the central station, there are no bars and the only food around is turkish fast food.
Bed: tiny, you cannot sit upright, and you can feel every small movement in the top bunk. Power plug is nice though, and comes with usb ports.
Bathroom: horrible tiny cells that barely give you space to move. Especially horrible is brushing your teeth, and I wish the people who built this place would feel how terrible it is and make some changes. There is one extra bathroom shower per floor (shared 100 people). Bathroom did not even include soap(!) and did not refill on toilet with house keeping. Yuck.
Lounge: kinda nice, it is almost possible to meet other people. But you cannot bring food and drink from outside, so basically you have to pay the hostel bar for everything, even drinking water!

since the beginning of the hostel every year 2-3 times in the 8-bed dormitory always great people and staff now corona double room like Kaiser Bravo.

For a hostel it is a real luxury. The hostel has a very good location and really good facilities!

On the website, the hostel is clearly presented better than it is. The operation is mostly without heart and soul at work. However, there is not much to criticize about the infrastructure. Very cool bar and lounge and you can meet a lot of people of the same age. The rooms are pretty clean and appropriate for the price. The shower, however, was unfortunately not only small, but also not really usable, as was the toilet. Breakfast and drinks are way too expensive, but there are plenty of shops around.
In summary, a good hostel for young people on a budget who only stay in a hotel. But you could get a lot more out of what is available then the 4-5 stars would be deserved.

Very nice hostel in the center of Hamburg. Modern decor, clean rooms, friendly staff, a relaxed chill-out area inviting you for a leisurely evening at the bar and midnight snack. We like to come back and can only recommend the hostel!

Good hostel in the middle of the city, lots of crazies on the street outside. Rooms are clean, the beds are fine.

Quiet hotel, but the doors in the rooms to the toilets were damaged.

We spent four nights there, the first impression was very convincing! Great design and very friendly staff. The room was nice and clean, the beds cozy. The only drawback is the bathroom. Very small and the shower head didn't have much pressure, so it took a long time. But it is enough for one night! All in all great and we would book again for the price.

Cramped washrooms, only one elevator working for whole building of 7 floor

When I made a reservation for another hostel, I made a reservation on the Hostelworld site, but I paid for the hotel. Please check other sites and decide. The only thing in front of the station is the advantage. From the entrance to the staircase, the internet is logged in every 5 minutes (every personal login is required after filling in and e-mailed), but it is a dormitory room for 6 people. The worst is ... yes ... bathroom and toilet. It's a room with a toilet, but the toilet and bathroom are placed in a container, and they are divided into two spaces. It's so cramped that you can't brush your teeth at the sink, and the toilet doesn't drain, so I can't imagine how unsanitary it would be. Even though I have a small body, I bump in every time I take a shower. There will be many good accommodations on the other side of history. It's a much cleaner neighborhood, so you'd better find a budget hotel on the other side and enjoy your trip to Hamburg.

Very well located near the train and bus station. Very basic but what is needed is given to you. I would go back

Comfy bed, clean, was very warm in the room though, no air conditioning, but I doubt this is commonly a problem

A hostel stop. The showers are quite small and the shower heads are not removable. The rooms are clean but spartan. Check-in does not seem to work until the scheduled time. As sometimes accidentally other guests get access to an already occupied room to play it safe and close the valuable things or take. We had witnessed this case live.

I really liked to stay here. Small but comfortable and clean place. Not far from city center and all tourist attractions. Really not expensive if compare to other Hostels. Reception is helpful and kind. This place deserves to stay and I consider it for my future returns to Hamburg.

With the good one starts: Central location
negative: the rooms are so small that you can barely turn in it, it is very loud - if somewhere in the corridor a room or hall door strikes shake the walls and you are in bed. In the atrium it is also very loud, as the bar's outdoor area seems to be perfectly placed! and the great room cards work once a day if you're lucky! The beds are properly worn out, so that you already see a Kuhle.
5 Euro for a breakfast with not even honey, 2 sorts of sausage and a cheese. No fruit, no egg ... NEVER AGAIN

- Spacious reception, sometimes you have to wait a bit for service when people are checking in. Check in is from 14/15 o'clock until 0 o'clock (and even at night who is in the reception. Multi-bed room central location, this is good with public transport and DB to reach .. Despite the it is at the main station quiet location Good and nice service, breakfast buffet is recommended (5.5 per day) .In the house's pub / cafe in the week but nothing was going on was not there at the weekend rent bicycles or bring your own and put that in the back of the yard.

Toilets and showers are very narrow. Management is very bad. The items were scum.

We arrived at about midnight and were greeted warmly. Shortly after we got to the room find the light and the electricity. Unfortunately, a room change for technical reasons was not and there was no technician on site. Despite lack of electricity and light we slept okay (and despite loud screams outside). For compensation we got vouchers for the breakfast and the overnight stay refunded. This is great service and very accommodating. We will be back.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Towels and soup, shower gel etc were provided, which I didn't expect from a hostel. I wouldn't recommend having breakfast here. I ordered the warm breakfast which I received cold, I was asked to bring it to the kitchen to warm to get it warmed up. I was very disappointed with the service.

Top location, nice staff, old building nicely decorated.
But must pull off two thick stars, since sleeping in extreme heat and strange strong smell in the room (which did not come from the guests;) was impossible. The windows do not open at all or only very little. And with a room occupied with 6 man this is an impertinence. Oh yes, a small flat water for 3.50 ???? Grrr.

My experience was overall very good. We eat and drink well. The rooms are ok for a hostel. No complaints. The rental is absolutely great !!! Perfect for enjoying the nightlife in Hamburg.

No air conditioning, no kitchen, no fridge, the photos may well be done on their site, it still looks like a squat. One and only positive point: it's not expensive.

They have great location there, just right beside the main station. When getting into the hostel, the atmosphere is great and relaxing. The staffs there are also kind and patient. Though it's not that spacious, I still slept well and comfortably. There are fast food store and supermarket around there.

Well maintained hostel with modern decor. Toilets and showers in extremely tight rooms. Little variety at breakfast. No towel rental option. Medium sized cabinets under the beds, but no space for large luggage that can only be stored in paid closets near the reception.

We had a bachelor's party there and for that it was great. Bath and Shower are a little small though. It was clean and funktionell. Reception and bar were great!

Great hostel in a great location near the train station. The area itself is not the nicest, being the train station there seems to be a lot of transient people. The hostel is great though. Lovely staff. Comfortable rooms and beds. You have to bring your own towel or to buy one there for 3E. There is a bar there and food available. You may nit bring your own beer into the hostel, but the bar has a good selection of beers and cocktails

Very good place to stay in Hamburg.
About 100m from the Central Station, lots of restaurants, shops by walk distance.
I booked a room with 6 bed.
Room was clean, shower and toilet are small but can't ask more with what you pay.

Though agreed to T&C on booking now surprised to see new features available only on payment like towels soap shampoo etc. And 1st time I m in a 4beded room abroad that too double decker having only 1 wash room where 2 Lady n 2 gents were accommodated...feeling bad situation n uncomfortable n conscious too.Could not upgrade ss no rooms available.Thanks to helpdesk..too fast n receptive to cause.

Not bad, but there are very small rooms. The lack of a removable shower head makes up for the shower on the floor. The bathroom drain should be cleaned more often.
Tasty breakfast. Great location. Nice environment. An outlet and a lamp for each bed are an obvious plus!

A little private private bathroom Convenient to send luggage

This hostel is perfect for a relatively cheap night in Hamburg. We chose a twin room. Here were two surprisingly comfortable beds, the bathroom was clean, towels were available. It was pretty quiet at night. We were able to sleep well.

The place is close to central station and close to lots of shopping area.

It's clean and tidy. We had the private room with 6 beds for 5 days and it was fantastic.

The best part is that it has a bar with live music attached. So you get drunk and go to bed easily.

Very popular hostel with great location, right next to Hauptbahnhof. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was cheap and well-stacked. Rooms were very cramped and needed better air circulation, was very hot and stuffy.

Excellent location for exploring Hamburg, Close to plenty of eateries and travel links. You can hire bikes and electric scooters from reception, and there are lock ups for your bags so you don't have to carry them around if you're checking out. Definitely a younger backpacker type crowd, with lots of tours and pub crawls advertised.

Really bad hotel, from the service to the rooms.
The rooms are extremely small, as is the separate shower and bathroom. You feel in these miniature bathrooms as in the prison without any space.
The room itself is very small and can hardly accommodate any other activities besides sleeping.
The service offers like the room nothing, everything is charged. You even have to rent towels for 3 euros.
The electronic cards also work very poorly and it takes extremely many tries to get them to work.
All in all, I would give zero stars if it would work.
A hostel right on the Reeperbahn would have been better than this hotel

Very good, clean, good breakfast, immaculate rooms and comfortable beds. RECOMMENDABLE

When I checked in at 11 pm (with the pre-check in done in advance), the bedding for my bed was missing and instead of just giving me the new set of bedding, I was allocated a new room. Having this hustle in the night isn't necessarily nice, especially for the people in the first room because I had to go out, come back and leave, so I created some noise and I didn't like the fact that I was a disturbance. The edges of my new bed in my new room were so dusty I even made a picture of it. Being an allergic person, I was upset. The shower room is so tiny I was having a hard time showering, and I'm not a big person. The breakfast buffet is ok, if you're not vegan. Also, they charge guests for storing they luggage for couple of hours after check out, which I don't think is nice. In many hostels you can just leave your stuff if you were a guest. Te reception staff was semi-helpful, the guy was eager to help and the lady just looked annoyed. I guess for the little price they charge for the bed this seems acceptable, but there are other places who charge the same but have bigger standards. I won't be staying there again.

Conditionally recommended. First the positive: the rooms are quiet and clean. The service is friendly and helpful. The rooms are small, the bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen in a hotel room. The fixed shower head is only suitable for small people. Everyone else has to bend a lot. The interior design is limited to the essentials. I was looking for a TV as well as a toothbrush glass. Maybe that's why two bottles of water are being made. The beds would be ok if they were not just 90 cm wide. The location is very central, directly at the main station

Very clean, other guests were not very considerate of sleeping hours but that's a hostel for you. Convenient pocket bathrooms in each bedroom block. Staff not as friendly or involved as other hostels. Much more of a big chain vibe.

It is very close to the train station without spending huge sums for a room. From the top you have a great view.

great social experience, however staying on the 7th floor in the middle of summer was near unbearable. Great bar and food services downstairs. The USB and power points on each bed were awesome.
