Very nice place you have to see when you are in Alexandria, the view of the sea is fantastic , historical place , you can have nice walk there by the sea.

Located where thousands of years ago the famous lighthouse of Alexandria was found one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Its location is really the most remarkable and of course its views of the Mediterranean. The strength on the outside presents a very photographic image and aesthetic but it is not worth entering.

Impressive place, but it does not have quite the history as most Egyptian places have.

A very excellent place to enjoy with your children safely cycling, fishing, sun and fresh sea air only in winter .......
I don't recommend it in the summer at all.
Stay away from random drinkers and plastic chairs owners ..... Very poor quality for a very high value

The place is awesome you can enjoy the best view for sunset ever bad thing is random and unqualified cafes around the place so take care about

It is a very nice tourist place and is steeped by history

The place is amazing for touristic visits although It needs a lot of caring from the official government.

Good to see but no activities or special thing to do except watching it.

Qaitbay Hall is one of the famous tourist and historical landmarks in Alexandria and the castle includes three floors in addition to the huge castle wall and overlooking the Mediterranean Sea directly.

Come here after sunrise for the best white sunlight for pictures.

For those interested for a horse cart ride near this area:
1. Make sure that you deal the price (a) per head and (b) per hour. Don't let the driver offer only one and claim the other when you're done.
2. Keep track of the time you started the ride and show/tell it to the driver. Cheating drivers will set their own timer ahead of time.
3. Keep your calm if being cheated. If you can lecture them on honesty, please .

Not that perfect,
The place is nice for people who loved history and loved it.
For the people who are not interested in history from any side, the place is not exposed to stones, and some of the services are there.
And the exploitation of tourists in a terrible way

I didn't enter the citadel cause of the hot sun but the water was wonderful

Very cool. A great sight in alexandria to see the Mediterranean and the sight of the former lighthouse. Be prepared for the stairs, they are not meant for those with short legs. The views are amazing from the top though!

This place in Alexandria is amazing. You can see it from far away because was built in a kind of Marina near the fishing area. Is like a small fairy tale castle. Alexandria is amazing mix between old and new buildings.

Inside the castle you feel as if you have traveled to the past.

Either to visit the place in the early morning hours or after 5:00 PM during summer time

A very beautiful place where you can see the traces of the first wits in construction. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry and could not provide more details.
But working hours are from 9 am to 4 pm.
Car park next to the museum.

The citadel of Qaitbay has a fort built in 1400 by the Mamluk Sultan Qaitbay who wanted the protection of the port of Alexandria as head of the forces. Beautiful and interesting because it is intact and can be visited in its entirety together with the citadel.
