But unfortunately untapped at night
If it was illuminated and evening visits would be a global imagination
Because the sun and fatigue makes everyone not longer than an hour

A very beautiful place from the inside, but entry times in the morning until the time of afternoon are very large from the inside. A huge place to take memorial photos that contain several floors. Upon reaching the last floor, a huge view of the sea. As for the castle museum, it is open at night. Summer parties are held for some singers, such as Khaled Selim, Majd Al-Qasim, Medhat Saleh.
The worst thing about the matter is the seizure of the Corniche and the establishment of untidy and disorganized seats. It is recommended to take food, drink and all accessories. There are simple games for children for a fee. There are also rides for children and bikes. Low prices for students

Good

Citadel of Qaitbay is the most amazing Castle I've seen in my life. Period.
And I've seen a lot of Forts n Palaces all over India. But this Citadel in d far away land of Egypt stole my heart.
This Citadel stands in the place were the ancient wonder of the world Lighthouse used to stand. Right at the edge of Mediterranean Sea. The turquoise blue waters and d Sandstone Citadel make a beautiful picturesque romantic setting.
Please don't miss this place, guides usually don't add it in d itinerary bcoz it's too huge n consumes a lot of time. We made sure to visit it, bcoz after seeing it from outside, there was no way we wouldn't step in.
It's a huge Citadel, with a lot of different sections, u might actually get lost inside. A perfect setting for a lot of pictures. I'm pretty sure we took at least a hundred pictures here. There is an entry ticket to get in.
U can easily spend hours here. I just fell in love with it.

This castle is located at the end of Pharos Island in the far west of Alexandria. It was built in the place of the ancient lighthouse of Alexandria, which was destroyed in the year 702 AH following the devastating earthquake that occurred during the reign of Sultan Al-Nasir Muhammad bin Qalawun. The honorable Sultan Abu Al-Nasr Qaitbay began building this castle in the year 882 AH From its construction in 884 AH. The reason for his interest in Alexandria was the large number of direct threats to Egypt by the Ottoman Empire, which threatened the entire Arab region, and the Mamluk Sultan Qansuh al-Ghouri took care of the castle, increasing its importance and shipping it with weapons.

Sultan Qaytbay traveled to Alexandria in the month of Rabi 'al-Awwal in the year 882 AH / 1478 CE, and he headed towards the old lighthouse that was in the hole and ordered that a great tower be built on its basis, and in Shaaban in the year 884 AH / 1479 CE The Sultan traveled again to Alexandria to see the tower that he built there and the work had ended.
