The team is unbelievably dedicated to the success of the organization and constantly looking to improve their resident experience. Working with the corporate team + local property management teams has been a delight. Everyone there is extremely hard working and go about their work in a professional manner. We have partnered with local Glick properties for years through various programs aimed at reducing food insecurity. Their staff has been excellent to work with over the years, the property manager knows her community well and is versed on how to best meet the needs of her residents and how we can best support them with supplemental programming efforts. Thank you for nominating and awarding CICOA Aging & In-Home Solutions with the Glick Community Relief Fund. This has allowed us to deliver additional nutritious meals to hungry seniors as well as provide needed transportation for essential needs services such as: grocery runs, doctor appointments, or to pick up medicines from the pharmacy.

I lived at Carriage House for 2 years and for 2 years I paid my rent on time even though I had so many problems with my apartment mice water heater and water on my floors and ants and windows and sliding door off track and plumbing problems I was told that my building was the worst building yet when my lease was up I moved even though I liked the location and because I moved in the middle of the month I owe a balance and because I m on disability I don t get that much. Because of the balance I have not been able to get any place else and I have been homeless since July. I even cleaned my apartment like it was bran new and didn t owe a balance for that. It s very disappointing that I couldn t make payments arrangement so I could live somewhere else also they was going up on my rent. I ve applied for disability housing and still can t get in because of this balance. I m black and don t know if that s why. I have pictures of my apartment cleaned and always paid my rent. Management had changed and they would not work with me.

I've worked with Glick for a couple of different ventures. Each person I worked with was exceptionally professional, fun, and responsive.

Beech Grove Senior Center

As a vendor, I work closely with the Training Department, and this TEAM is awesome! The investment this company makes in its people and their commitment to excellence is evident. They take care of developing their team members so they can impact the residents of their communities in a positive & meaningful way.

As the Director of the Knox County Senior Center and Adult Day service i have had the privilege of working with Glick in many ways. Working with our communities seniors there have been many times when the need would arise for safe affordable housing. Glick has been paramount in assisting us to find such placement within a reasonable amount of time. The apartment leasing procedures were taken care of quickly by a very knowledgeable staff who made our clients feel very comfortable. A tour of the facilities put me at ease. The apartments were clean and freshly painted. More than adequate for a single person or a couple. While storage is generally a problem in most units, that is not the case in a Glick apartment. There is plenty of closet space. In addition the residents are treated to special events throughout the year bringing neighbors together where they can make friends.
With public transportation, Glick residents are able to come to the senior center for food and fellowship. This collaboration is a win/win for our communities senior population. In addition, Glick Philanthropies has grants that assist other organization in providing services that will enhance the offerings for both community and Glick residents. Glick properties is a true asset to our community and a true blessing to our communities elderly. Below is a picture of the newly installed COVID-19 barriers in our nurses area. This was made possible by a Glick grant. This door provides an essential barrier for both the nurse and the client who needs medications or maybe a Tylenol while at the center. The plexiglass barrier helps us to keep the possibility of disease transmission low and helps us protect our clients, guests and staff. Thank you Glick.

I have had the good fortune to work with the Gene B. Glick as a consultant for the past 4 years. Knowing what I know about the organization, I would proudly recommend living in a Glick home!

I really used to like the Woods of Eagle Creek but in the past month or so things have went down hill. I submitted a work order 3 weeks ago, and it still hasn t been completed. When I went into the office to check the status of the work order after two weeks of it being open I was told there were more important work orders ahead of mine. What if I were to say the same thing when it were time to pay my rent and paid other bills first? Crime has increased along with my rental rate. The assigned parking is a huge inconvenience as well. I ve been at my current place for 4 years and now I feel forced to leave due to poor service, however the assistant manager D is awesome .

What are y all going to do about the residents that may have contracted COVID-19 bc the property manager at Bethabara Pointe in Winston-Salem not only not wearing a mask while talking to residents but hired someone who has it too? I fully understand HIPPA however, sending out a bulletin to remind residents to be safe and wear masks would be better than trying to through folks out on the street given the climate of the economy at this time! I see y all have Philanthropic efforts to give to others but what about residents facing hardships? I need answers! Also, the maintenance Supervisor Mr Sam is awesome! I hate to see him leave but he shouldn t have to handle prexisting issues alone especially since the Property Manager let the person he trained go! Y all need to consider a new management staff over here pronto!

The Gene B. Glick company does incredible philanthropic work. They recently gave $10,000 to help the St. Louis Area Foodbank distribute 40,000 meals to residents in two of their apartment buildings. The Glick Community Relief Fund provided much needed funding to fight hunger in Johnson County. Their support allowed us to purchase a box truck to use 5 days/week in order to pick up donated food from grocers, food banks and other sources. The Glick Community Relief Fund has been a huge blessing to us! Their partnership has enabled us to help feed hundreds of families throughout the covid19 crisis and beyond.

I have lived at The Woods of Eagle Creek for six months and I'm very disappointed in the service I have received from day one. I was forced to push back my move-in day because there was a scheduling error (this was a major inconvenience). My backyard area was full of weeds 2 feet high when I moved in, I contacted the office requesting someone to assist with it and they said they would send someone out. It's now four months later and I've had to do it on my own every single time. I have recently attempted to contact the office eight times in the last 3 days and I have yet to have anyone pick up. I was really looking forward to spending my first year in Indianapolis here, but now I cannot wait to move someplace else.

Live in Clarksville Indiana, rent goes up each year at Colonial Village, but the inside looks outdated. Appliances, cabinets need to be replaced. Great Management and Activities for everyone.

Our non-profit operates programs for seniors and the clients at Lake Oaks in Racine,. WI avail themselves of several of them including: File of Life (way to keep medical information for emergencies), MyRide (free transportation to appointments), EZ-ID (CD with persons statistics and image in tcase they would go missing) ans SkillBank (low cost help around the house). We have clients and volunteers at Lake Oaks- we really love working with them, friendly, upbeat and proactive!

We are the Joseph Plan Pantry, a ministry of the Eagle Creek Church of Christ. The Gene B. Glick company owns Cambridge Square North Apartments, one of nine apartment complexes that surround the pantry. We would like to thank the Glick family of organizations for their support in assisting us in addressing the food dessert in Pike and Washington township.
One of the Service Coordinators at Cambridge Square North came to us to help with the needs of their Seniors. We were more than happy to partner with the Glick family. Now in our eighth year of service, we can t scream loud enough, thank you to the Glick organization for their philanthropic efforts in helping us to feed and service the residents of Cambridge Square North and the greater community.
The Joseph Plan Food Pantry started out with bread, fresh fruits, vegetables, and pizza. Which then grew into all types of groceries, including meat, being provided to our clients. Our best form of advertisement has been word of mouth where one family has received the blessing of food, both spiritual and physical, share the information with another family, who then shares with other families in the community. Now we are serving over 800 families. Moreover, our food giveaway has built a comradery among the church, the volunteers, and the residents from the community creating an atmosphere of family. We will continue to grow and spread the love of God along with His word.

I started working for this AMAZING unicorn of a company about 6 months ago. Usually by now, I would have come home upset, stressed out, having already changed my opinion of a coworker/boss from the best to I can t stand this person .... Not here!
I have never experienced a business, in its entirety, that is a down to earth, easy going, we re all equals kind of atmosphere. Of course we AREN T equals; I am definitely no where near as important as the CEO (LOL). BUT, that CEO will sit next to little, bottom of the chain me, and have a normal conversation asking about my family, my experience with Glick, how the day s going, and so on.
I WILL RETIRE from this place! Did I tell you, I even get PAID to do volunteer work? I even get to choose if I give time to an organization my own choosing, or I can work with an event Glick has organized. I get to be the real me, big giving heart and all, AND get paid? Shoot... I don t know how I got so lucky, but I d be a janitor, a window washer, a maintenance tech, a secretary, a doorman, or any other position they needed filled, to be in this company.
