Hello All
What an awesome company! The customer service at GATHER is top notch! We have been using GATHER for about six months now and can hardly contain our excitement.
One of the best features is the "LEADS" option we now use. We have incorporated the location specific link for our various stores and have received numerous bookings.
As our company grows we certainly look forward to new stores and new Gather accounts. It has proven itself with us!

I absolutely love working with Gather as a group sales and events manager. I represent 4 unique venues and the efficiency and ease of use is impressive. The mobile app and message templates allow me to respond to each an every inquiry with a few clicks and a moment's notice. Constant program upgrades make the platform better and better (the new message reply feature) and the event portal/lead form can be customized for each brand allowing for the best possible interaction between sales managers and guests alike.

Gather is so easy! Love the ease of looking at an event, communicating with the client or within the team and keep detailed notes for an event execution and summary. I've called customer support for simple things and they were prompt with service and patient in walking me through things.

I ran 7 venues for The Roof at Ponce City Market in Atlanta for the last 3 years with 4-7 events a day and where we executed $19M in Events. Gather kept our catering team, bar staff, game play staff, and management team informed of all event related information. I am now the Director of Events at Glover Park Brewery in Marietta Square. We were having trouble keeping track of what payments are due and what payments have been made until I convinced our team to use Gather. Now we have a place where the owners and brew master feel like they have a better grasp of our finances and can they can see our event team communications with clients. This platform is a necessity for event management.

We used Gather to manage our contracting for our wedding and event facility for about 10 months out of a one year contract. We specifically gave them notice of cancellation well before their renewal date as we felt the program was buggy and glitchy. Twice they have charged the CC on file for a renewal even though we cancelled. AMEX is disputing the charge.

Regarding our disappointment with Gather I would point to the following all of which I have reflected to support people and none of which have been acted on:

Your IOS app seems to be able to send messages to clients and it does seem to be able to send templates but not free-form messages. Yet it often leads the user to believe a message has been sent when it has not
About 45 days ago new inquiries stopped showing up in your new messages list your support people insisted this was not a change but it was. It seems logical that new leads would be the most important new messages
I asked you to make all the numbers and metrics on your Home page hyperlinked, but you have not. If I see I have two new leads I can click on that number and it takes me to the new leads. If I see I have one new contract signed, the numeral 1 is not hyperlinked and I have to search for the new signed contract.

It is difficult or impossible to add a second client contact name but in the wedding business it is pretty normal to have at least two client counterparties. Yes I know about the onsite contact but that is not a default email recipient.

Your proposals are not properly itemized and clients do not seem to notice that I have attached a BEO which is not a term I could define for you. I cited as examples of proposals where the client thought we got the price wrong but they don t see the $500 security deposit because it is not itemized in the proposal.

It is completely ridiculous that the client could sign an e-contract without being forced to enter and validate their address, phone, full and correct name, etc. Our normal course is we get a contract signed and then we chase down the additional information required to actually have a contract with the Zenith Additional Information form. This is cumbersome and probably not legally defensible. I want the client to execute the contract having filled in and validated their complete contact info

Gather has dramatically simplified my life by streamlining client and internal communications. I've used at at two (fairly different) companies for multiple locations, and found it invaluable at both operations. Support is pleasant and helpful. We did have some issues with misrepresentation during the sales process (not uncommon) and I would like to see updates rolled out more frequently, but all and all it is a fairly reliable workhorse.

Gather is by far the best and most user friendly event/catering software I have used. It's easy to use and modify, it looks professional and my clients love the online portal. I've been using Gather since from the beginning so I've seen the software adapt and change. They are constantly bettering the services offered and the software itself. I even convinced my new company to switch to Gather and productivity and sales are up significantly. Cannot recommend more!

I have always had a great experience using Gather to manage events for our restaurant. There are so many options to make customizable templates, events, agreements and menus for our guests and for us. I have most recently worked with Teddy and Austin, and their customer service and support is outstanding. You never feel like you're waiting on assistance. I would happily recommend Gather to other venues!

We use gather to manage 200+ mostly buffet weddings a year. It is a new company and they, as far as I can tell, made some strategic errors when developing their stack. As a result certain functionality, including API integration with key partners (like scheduling apps designed for caterers) are difficult. Tech Support is super helpful; however, customer success managers are hard to reach.

Bottom Line: Functional, fast enough, and modern. Generally good client experience. Frustrating lack of support for integrating with key partners (vs. competitors like caterease and tripleseat).

Gather has made my life so easy! We have been able to respond quicker. The chef can look without looking for me. And the guests love how professional everything looks.
The lead tab is awesome for those moments a guests thinks you remember everything you all discussed a month ago when it was just an inquiry!
I say, "I love Gather", pretty much everyday!

I've used Gather for a couple of years now with two different companies. I currently manage events for 9 different properties, and Gather makes it a breeze to stay organized and efficiently communicate with all teams and clients both on site and off. They are constantly adding new features and updates, and are extremely accommodating to suggestions and advice. Their customer service is top notch - I always get an immediate response when I have a question or concern, and always from a human being who can actually help me.

Instead of having a "rep", you have a "Client Success Manager", which is so accurate. They are not just there to sell you their software and help with problems. They actively work to help you succeed, and will come to your location from time to time to show you how to best utilize different features for your specific needs. They seem to genuinely care that you are getting the most out of it.

The software is very intuitive, and I thought I had learned everything I needed until the last time our Client Success Manager came to visit and showed me & my team some tips and tricks that we had been missing out on. I am a HUGE fan of Gather and will always recommend them!

Being able to generate reports and track business growth on the Gather platform at the click of a button is awesome! I am so happy to have found Gather! It has made it so easy for my job to put together contracts, BEO's and communicating with the kitchen, manager and staff all on one platform. Gather is also automated so will send out a thank you for dining with us let us know how your experience email as a follow up after the customer's party as well which is so nice. Definitely a game changer!!!

Gather never fails to impress me. We have recently implemented a new catering system in our sister restaurant, and we were able to link the website to pre-select menus, which then upload directly into Gather. The front and back of house communication is impeccable! When doing off-site catering, it's possible that things can go missed. However, with this program, nothing is forgotten EVER! Our lists can be instantly uploaded per menu choice, which causes extreme organization, which I LOVE! We couldn't be happier with the choice to go with Gather, and I cannot wait to see what else this program has in store for us later down the line.

REVISED 1-28-19... GATHER CONTACTED ME AFTER SEEING MY REVIEW AND SUDDENLY WAS VERY APOLOGETIC THAT I HAD NOT RECEIVED A REFUND. THEY ASSURED ME THAT THEY WOULD SEND ONE THROUGH. I RECEIVED THAT LAST WEEK, AND ALTHOUGH I APPRECIATE THAT THEY FINALLY DID THE RIGHT THING, IT IS EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING THAT HAD I NOT LEFT A NEGATIVE REVIEW, THEY WOULD NOT HAVE REFUNDED MY FEE. I HOPE THAT THEY HAVE LEARNED A LESSON ABOUT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THAT THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN TO OTHERS.

My company purchased this software in the fall of 2017 after being sold that it could do everything that we needed it to do for my very busy catering company. After several months working with their support team, we quickly realized that the software could not function for us the way that we were told it could. We then informed them that we would not be moving forward. I was out $1800.00 and I ate that cost as a buyer beware and I did not complain nor argue as I had let their sales team push me into signing a contract. We never went live with this software and we spend endless hours trying to get it to work for us. Skip ahead to fall of 2018 and they have billed my card for a "renewal" of the software. I immediately contacted them to inform them that this was a mistake and that we had never been able to use the software. They were unwilling to reimburse this additional charge as they said we never signed a cancellation request. When we determined a few months after purchasing initially that we were not going to be able to utilize this product, we informed the tech support we'd been working with that we would not be using it. We were never informed that we needed to sign a cancellation request. I am furious that they have now charged me $3600.00 for software that was sold to us under false pretenses. PLEASE BEWARE OF SIGNING ANYTHING AND MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. I am currently in the process of trying to charge this back, but not sure how that will end up. Very frustrating and so sad that there are such shady companies.

It is a very useful all-inclusive tool and platform where clients and team members can access all event information from creating a proposal to printing out BEO's for the team. The page is sometimes slow when they are updating but in general cutomer service is good. Happy with the service!

I am very disappointed in the customer service I h...

I am very disappointed in the customer service I have received from Gather. For a company that is working strategically with hospitality businesses I can't believe how disconnected, disorganized and seemingly shady their sales practices are. The software is great! I found it simple to use, helpful with creating BEOS and leveraging team communication was awesome. They just made some huge mistakes that made me feel like it was a bait and switch and then dealing with trying to get everything sorted out has been immensely time consuming.

At the beginning they charged us incorrectly and the contracts weren't filled out right -- it was a bit of a flag but I let it go since they were a new team. It really started going downhill when they introduced a program mid-contract without giving us any opt-in or opt-out option. When they introduced their partnership program they didn't let us know about it in any form of communication (no email, no call, no update to contract). We only figured it out after seeing random $200+ charges that were not preauthorized. When I called to inquire, they "must have missed us" when calling to inform of the new partnership program with Yelp. We were paying for leads that were literally parties of 6-8 looking for regular reservations! I was really bummed out by the way they handled this whole transition and process. We were eventuallly reimbursed after numerous phone calls and emails. My success manager never sent us the copy of the digital contract we signed saying we authorized the transactions.

Gather Billing authorized our credit card a total of four times without our permission or having permission to do so in our contract. It was very unprofessional how it was handled. I have spent hours on the phone and tracking down emails because we have been through three 'Success Managers' and Customer Service has zero access to contracts to answer any in depth questions. There is no direct line to contact success managers and when an issue arises they just ignore it and prioritize their sales. I had let Gather know three months before our contract ended that I would like to discontinue their service (sadly, even though I found it useful at one of our restaurants). Sure enough, we saw another unauthorized charge and I have now been emailing to get it cleared up. I have called over fifteen times to try to get our account cancelled. They just provide vague responses and often say that the billing team is out for the day. I have no idea what is going on there but it really comes across like an unprofessional team that is only focused on new customer acquisition and shady bait and switch program rollouts.

I applied to work here for a customer support role. Within 24 hrs a recruiter emailed me and moved me along to the next step of an assessment. I did the assessment the next day and had no trouble with the questions. Thought for sure they would move me along. A generic email probably from a computer came days later giving me a bogus excuse that they had too many candidates and decided to not hire me. I doubt they have too many candidates apply because it's a small company and barely heard of or mentioned. Plus LinkedIn Premium said they didn't have at least 10 applicants to compile applicant data and show me how I compared to the other applicants for the job post I applied to. I emailed the recruiter by responding to her email that said don't hesitate with any applicant questions. I asked how could I be a better candidate for the position and never heard back. Surely there are not so many applicants that this recruiter could not respond to me. I notice they hire at a 90 percent rate a certain type of person and I don't fit the description of who they usually hire.

I introduced Gather to a start up entertainment venue in 2017. They needed something that simplified processes and brought all the details to one place. Gather was recommended by another user and it became the center of all the operations, making everything easier for the owners and customers.

Since then there have been numerous additions to what Gather can do. From the beginning, the training and support to get started provided confidence in learning something new. The support team replied very quickly to questions along the way and made us feel that someone really had our back and didn't want us to struggle too long out there. Upgrades were introduced with follow up for additional training that was short, sweet and to the point that didn't take too much time away from the day to day work that had to be done.

From the very beginning, I am highly impressed with how much well thought out communication comes from Gather and the team behind her. It is great example of proper customer service and support for a great product. Thank you Gather team for helping me help this start up. I highly recommend your product and appreciate all you have done and do.

I have been using Gather for about four years and ...

I have been using Gather for about four years and I LOVE it. It keeps me and my team organized and it provides many necessary tools needed for us to conduct our day to day business. I oversee two restaurants and handle about 70-100 events per month. Gather allows us to quickly get contracts and information to guests to secure spaces and keep that revenue pipeline flowing. I highly recommend to anyone interested.

Gather has been tremendously helpful in organizing our private event bookings. It has improved communication with the guests as well as the front and back of house teams in our restaurant. The Gather team has literally thought of everything to make booking events less time consuming. The customer service from sales to scheduling to training in addition to ongoing support after training have been some of the best I've ever dealt with. Jess Charmoli is a standout when it comes to being informative, concise and supportive throughout training while also making me feel comfortable asking questions and reaching out to her since completing the training. I cannot recommend this software and the genuine customer service that comes with it enough!

I have worked places in the past where I hardly knew anyone outside of my own department, but that is not the case here at all. Gatherhere is a GAME CHANGER. I save a lot of time time using this app and get to spend more time with my clients so it has 2 thumbs up for me. The employees that work for gather are also extremely helpful & respond very very quick. (Also something I enjoy.) Thank you for making my career path a little easier.
