I have a 4 cylinder Colorado truck, I took it to change the oil, when I do the oil change it takes 5 full quarters, when I take it to Firestone auto service they charge me for 5 quarters also, this time the dealer charge me for 6 when I asked the service advisor why now takes 6 he was very rude and answer me it is what it is, because his mechanic say so. I don't mind paying for an extra quarter but if is true that I need it, I called the service manager left a message and never call me back. At least explain it in a nice way why now the truck need 6 quarters.

Just went in for a oil change. That went well but ...

Just went in for a oil change. That went well but when I picked up my vehicle after it being at the dealer from 7am to 5pm when i picked it up, I noticed that I did not receive the complimentary car wash as I normally do. Normally this would not be a big deal but i specifically asked for the car wash since I was leaving my car all day. Its those little details that keeps customers or pushes them away. Thank you.

1st time came here, 5 stars, returning customers, not so sure if they care about been a loyal customer. Tried to sell me a $976 additional fee (for door guards, window tint and paint chip warranty but the car didn't had any of those items)..... not sure if I wanna come back again. Even tho I'm looking for another vehicle.

Review Update: I'm deciding to update my review to share my experience. Naturally after leaving the original negative review and a negative review through the GM corporate online feedback, I received a couple of follow up calls from GM DJ. He said he would get the finance department to call me back to straightened everything out. He's also help me with the additional accessories I wanted. Well neither really happened. I called DJ back and forth a few times and could never get a good price from them on the running boards, instead another valley dealer gave me a even better deal than Gateway was willing to give me (remember I just bought a $41k car from Gateway and not the other dealer). So that was really disappointing. The finance team never called me, I never knew anything about my loan until I researched it all myself to figure it out. For a couple mailings and had questions about my loan that I ended up figuring out with the bank. WORST finance department ever. Called and left messages on at least 5 different attempts, never picks up, never returns messages, was basically lied to so they could close the deal, and worst of all does not care about the best interest of the consumer at all. I will never be coming back to Gateway ever again and will be sure to refer everyone away from them. I purchase quite a few cars and like Chevy, but never again from Gateway. Be warned, once the deal closes, you're on your own for everything. Gateway does not care about you after you sign the papers.

Ordinal Review: I bought a brand new 2019 Chevy Traverse here on the evening of Wed 8/1/2018. Got a good deal, but the follow up service is terrible. It's been a week and I haven't heard back on anything, since we closed the deal later, they said the banks were already closed and I'd have to wait, additionally the extras I wanted to add were after the parts department was closed and he'd give me a "great deal" and get back to me. I've messaged him multiple times with no response. When I was negotiating and trying to purchase the vehicle he was very good, but once you drive off the lot, they couldn't care less about you. To this day, I don't know the status of my loan, what my rate is or the loan term, etc. They said they would get with me "tomorrow", and yet it's been a week and I've tried to get with them to no response. Also, I'm not getting any of the accessories I wanted, let alone a "great deal". Additionally, I live in Chandler, so I drive 35 miles to come out for this car and might have to come back again for this, so I just wish they'd communicate. For buying a $40k+ car, you think they'd care about you a little more. So I can only imagine if you're buying a cheaper car with less profit margin. Very unsatisfied with the salesman after the sale.

My service provider knows me well enough now to make decisions without overstepping boundaries. I came in for regular service and a kicked in plate (light switch section)by me while loading a kayak. Although 99% of the time, I allow all recommendations, he went ahead and had them put a new one in knowing I would say yes anyway. I can think of only one time, in 6 years I said to wait, because I was going camping somewhere. Had to wait for a part anyway; therefore, in retrospect, I guess that is 100% due to the wait. I am sure if it was expensive he would definitely ask. Also, I always meet the friendliest Chevrolet customers who sat at my table and we chatted the whole time. I get offers from other Chevrolet dealers but know if I move anywhere in the Phoenix metropolitan, I would always come back for service to John Sheldon and Gateway!

I would never advise anyone to buy from this dealership...BE careful as the 3 day exchange is just a gimmick. They will not honor it!!. Bought a car from them, next day tried to exchange as It just wasn't the car for me. They made every excuse from lieing about certified vehicles, " all of a sudden they weren't certified" this was on every car I tried to exchange for!!!...be warned!!! They will not Honor there exchange program!!!! If there was a zero option, I wouldn't even give them that. They pretty much have done everything to "try" and make me have to keep a car that I'm totally hating!!! WILL be speaking to GM Coorporate office about this dealership...!!!!

The sales man did an amazing job and the service department did awesome too. The finance guy was not so good. He used fair to try and sell us a warranty. To the point where we almost bought a toyota because of all the problems that could happen to the chevey and we should buy a warranty to prevent if anything were to go wrong, like all the hundreds of little computers all around the truck. I seriously almost walked out of the deal and told him we should just go buy a toyoda because they won't have all the problems are talking about. We said no to the warty and we had a little bit of issue with the interest rate but your GM came out and talk to us to fix that problem. He was great by the way.

Customer service was bad. Mike the service Manager didn't even fix my problem that his service rep John and tech messed up. I had to call chevy customer care when Mike found out I called he called me back to try and fix things but with a RUDE attitude.

We arrived at the establishment to see a specific sales associate and the associate Omar greeted us. He checked to see if the person we were hoping to see was there but he was not. Omar let us know he was happy to help us and did so. He asked what we were interested in and took us right over to the vehicles we were interested in. He shared the prices, the rebates and shared info on some of the others we had interest in. We told him we were a little crunched for time and he worked at a quick pace after the test drive of the Equinox. He made sure that we were doing good on time and gave us water while we waited. He was very helpful. He had some customers come in to see him but had another associate help them as he was trying to help us complete the paperwork. We appreciate all his hard work and want to acknowledge that he is a hard worker. We will definitely look forward to continuing business at Gateway Chevrolet. Thanks Omar for making our visit so convenient and worth it,

So I had two separate experiences with this place....

So I had two separate experiences with this place. The first, our lease had a transmission failure while my wife and children (several and as young as 1) were at a store. She called them for assistance as this was a warranty issue. They said that they would send a tow truck which was going to take some time, but they were not going to be able to provide her a courtesy vehicle as they didn't have any that had 3rd row seating. As this is a warranty repair they according to our contract with GM should have provided this vehicle. Instead of calling the Rental companies in the area they said they only deal with the once closest to them and they didn't have a car and suggested my wife drive the car to the dealership. 5 miles away on the highway. This vehicle was stuck in first gear and wouldn't drive fast, and with the traffic on I-10 this was markedly dangerous, but they didn't seem to care, it was all about them saving their business relationship with the local enterprise. Ultimately they ended up getting a rental but was not till the next day after they put my family in the smallest vehicle they possibly had, and we had to do all the running around to swap out vehicle. Customer service was pathetic, then when I went to retrieve our vehicle after the repairs were completed in a few days, their shop personnel are so disorganized it took them 45 minutes to give me the keys to my car and pull it around. Again another zero.

Issue #2: I gave them the benefit of the doubt and it was just a one off issue. My wife wanted to look at getting a new vehicle and the sales man must have been new because he didn't know anything. Ok I get it, everyone has to start somewhere, but the business side of it they were not trying to put together a fair deal, I know they are a business and there is profit written into everything, they made several misleading statements, and long story short, I took my business else where. I can suggest a few things if you choose them (I highly do not recommend them), 1. get a loan from a bank before you go there, their finance office will markup your loan rate (all dealerships do this) for instance the lender may approve you at a 3.5% rate, but they will come back and just want to talk about how much of a payment you want. DONT EVER TELL THEM I'm ok with x amount of a payment they will manipulate the loan to inflate it to your payment price if you overestimate the values. Negotiate final out the door price first. Then if you have a trade negotiate that value second (and get other dealerships quotes for that vehicle value) then present them with your own lender pre approval. save money have a great day, don't let them get over on you. I can suggest Sands, my experience there was lightyears ahead of Gateway to hell.

I went in to check out the 2019 Malibu premium package. Got the typical overall demo from salesman Dominic who seemed to be fairly knowledgeable and a decent guy. I drove the Malibu and liked the amount of standard equipment though some features were a little bit unnecessary in my opinion. It's 2.0 litre turbo charged engine provided ample acceleration and the car handled well enough for a vehicle of it's size. Disappointing though was the poor comfort of the driver's seat. It being far too firm in my opinion especially for a car pushing the $40k threshold. I never got into their level of inventory or how they would handle my trade in or negotiating the price of the new car purchase. However, following the test drive there's the obligatory giving of your phone number and meating the sales manager which some people may find a little bit annoying in this day and age. Of course this is completely upbto you if you want to release this information. So this review turned into a two for one with the review of the dealership and the 2019 Malibu as well.

Was very pleased with the service we received at Gateway Chevy. Our salesman, Aldo Rodriguez was very helpful and worked with us on finding the exact truck we wanted. Alejandro Espinoza in finance was also very helpful in taking care of us and was a pleasure to work with. If these two are any indication of the caliber of people Gateway employs then I would highly recommend them if you're in the market. We are very happy with out new Chevy Colorado. Wonderful experience.

I came from a NIGHTMARE situation with Peoria Nissan.... I spoke with Jeffery, the sales manager and he referred me to Ivan, the sales associate... I was provided a transparent and thorough scope of my options. Chevy has some amazing rebates and discounts but I was still going to be negative because of the Nissan I purchased 2 months ago... this did not deter their efforts to help me make a good financial decision. What stood out most was the attention and care I received from every person working my purchase... my financing agent provided me with products that exceeded my expectations and saved me money when the deal was completed. I cant say enough good things about their team, and Ivan was such a great sales specialist. His conversation was relevant and he actually remembered details of my family days after a single mentioning of them... I purchased a 2021 LT Silverado 1500 and I love my purchase! Thanks so much for an amazing experience!!! Ivan, Claudio, Jeffrey.. you gentlemen are awesome!

Came back here to buy a car I wanted and the manager was the worst. His hidden fees added up almost 5K more m, and he didn t not want to negotiate. He kept coming back with the same sheet, and the same numbers. I don t call it negotiations. Sadly, had to walk away and now I need to find another jeep elsewhere.

Literally the worst experience ever. Ever!!!!! Pedro and his sales manager will run your credit over and over through different financing companies to find a deal they want and will submit such outrageous numbers to the bank as well. Joey was the Internet Sales Manager or sales manager and didn't help out at all. They explained that there ls tahoe was 37k, they will submit whatever they want in hopes for approval. Thanks to them I had to stop my car buying experience because my credit was dinged. Thanks Gateway Chevy. I will do my best to spread the word about the lies they tell and even invoice they show you. Of course don't ever believe invoices as they are always inflated purchase prices. Not the actual purchase of their vehicle. Either way, gateway was horrible. Run asap

I have never had a positive experience dealing with this business. This review is not just based off one bad experience but 5 or 6. Every department has shady staff. From the vulture sales men once you pull up to the parking lot. To the shifty staff to blantly lie to you while you are signing paperwork. To convince you into buying warranties and add you that you don't need. Lying to you about what warranties cover. They "forget" to add coverage onto your vehicle, in attempts to charge you for repairs that should be covered. The service center charges 100's of dollars, to diagnose things that places like brakes plus will do for free. The best thing I can say about this gateway Chevrolet, is the learning experience of how poor of practices a business can have, so I know what to look out for in the future. Would have given a zero star rating if I could.

We had two different experiences with Gateway. Our first experience involved a lot of waiting to the point where we had to leave because we had visitors coming to our house. They promised that they would have the car ready and papers ready to be signed but we still had to wait. In addition, we left at one point after we were told that there was nothing they could do for us. Fine by us but minutes later as we were driving out of the lot we got a call from the finance manager and baited us to come back to work on the deal. We put in our negotiation costs and they said they'd work with it. We went back the next day, expecting to have the car ready to go and all we needed to do was sign the paperwork. We finally drove off the lot with our new vehicle but only to get a call back in a couple days telling me that there was a hiccup in our deal, that I would have to be paying a higher interest rate. Fine, if you're not going to give me the deal I signed for, then I'd like my trade in back. I ended up getting a call back from the General Manager who offered that the dealership would figure out a way to keep my deal going, meaning they had to pay for part of what they promised me already. Overall experience: a struggle, about walked away but the owner made it right in the end.

Second experience: My fiance kept high hopes that since Gateway Chevy made it right that he would be getting a good deal too. He gave them the benefit of the doubt BUT only lasted until they realized they "missed" "overlooked" something after they promised my fiance a good deal and even letting him take the vehicle off the lot and making us think that there were no issues like the first time. In their words, "they weren't told that the trade-in was under a leasing option," which is not true at all. They were told up front that the current vehicle was a lease and wanted to find a way to trade it in to get a finance loan. In my opinion, the sales guy was gunning for a quick sale possibly for his own commission because as of today he will be on a one week vacation. After driving the new vehicle for a couple days, they call my fiance to tell him that he would need to return the truck because they didn't realize that the trade in was a leased vehicle. As a repeat customer, I'm absolutely disgusted that this is a common practice by this dealership. Why let your customers leave with their "new" vehicles without knowing for sure that the deal is sealed? Two times this has happened to us. Not right at all. I wouldn't have rated them with any stars but it won't let me submit my rating without a star, so I only gave them one. In protest.

Why is it that after you purchase your vehicle you...

Why is it that after you purchase your vehicle you can not get thru to anyone to resolve a simple issue. We have yet to have anyone return our requests for a meeting with the General Manager after we tried to speak to other staff members and got the run around. If we do not get a call back today I guess we must next go to the Chevrolet corporate office to see if they can finally get an answer from the dealership to why we can not get something we paid for a month ago when we purchased a car. At this point we feel as if there was a bait and switch issue at purchase since NO one with speak to us now to even try to find out and resolve something that could have been a quick and simple resolution.
I resent I had to give a one star just to get this posted.
UPDATE I see a response was given a week ago to contact someone at Gateway. Problem with them contacting us a week ago is that some of our problems had already been resolved after a month of phone calls and visits to the dealership with no response to calls, etc. I finally got fed up and contacted the Chevrolet company directly. That is when we got some resolution. I had a phone call from the Corporation the following morning to open a case file to get this resolved. (Funny how they contact you within 24 hours but Gateway could not return any of our calls within that month,} Within two hours after that Corporate call we finally had a return call from Gateway.
Paul called to say that they had dropped the ball and to set up the promised service that we had requested when purchasing our new car.
However the other issue has not been resolved to our full satisfaction. There was a partial resolution however the major issue was our problem with what we considered bait and switch during the finance process.
We are happy with our Chevrolet product that we purchased and with the corporation response however we will never do business with Gateway again due to issues with their financial department practices.

My biggest issue with buying new vehicles is the amount of time it takes, so I went on line found the vehicle I wanted, it was at Gateway Chevrolet and I chatted with someone on line to see if it was in stocked and the put me in contact with my " sales professional".
He told me the vehicle was in stock and asked if I wanted to come take a look at it today, I did.
My sales professional had the vehicle I was interested in and two others that he thought I may be interested in ready for me to test drive when I arrived. I decided on a vehicle after the test drive went inside a purchased the vehicle.
This should be the way its done, took about 21/2 hrs total and I give all the credit to my Sales Professional Omar Polo, he took the initiative to listen to me, simple as that.

Classic "used car salesman" vibe at this place. Sales people that misquote vehicle prices, throw a bunch of "add-ons" fees into the mix, and will ridiculously low ball you on your trade in. Needless to say I walked away from this place quickly and will not be coming back. Pretty sleazy in my opinion, definitely wouldn't recommend.

i did not have a good experience with this dealership. i have been a chevy pick-up owner for over 20 years and i always bought a new truck every 2 to 3 years. every truck i bought had on-star and xm radio. this 2019 did not and i am very disappointed. my son bought a silverado in Michigan and it had xm radio. i was told the vehicle was a less expensive model and it did not come with xm radio. nobody knows about how to fix it or even checked into it..i am filling out this survey and i will never hear back or someone coming up with a solution. they said go through your cell phone. i will keep this vehicle for 2 years and then go to a Ford or Dodge. very unhappy camper. where will i see this response published?

The salesman was awesome to deal with and the process was pretty smooth. The only reason I removed 2 stars was because you are forced to buy a "protection" package that includes overpriced door edge guards and window tint. You can't even choose the shade of tint that you like. Also, one of the door is missing an edge guard and another one looks weathered compared to the other two. I don't think the dealership bothered installing new ones although I paid for it. It was also missing door handle cup protectors that the protection package included. Very miniscule, but it's worth pointing out if you are forced to buy it and never receive it.

We had drove out from NC and our truck broke down. We called the service center on Saturday. They told us to bring it in first thing Monday morning. We did and they worked on it all day to get it fixed. They were very accommodating to us and did everything they said they would do. We would especially like to thank John Sheldon and the whole sevice department for all their help and for being professional and courteous to us.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!! , The finance guy tried to rip me off. Had the car picked out and was ready to buy. He told me that the lowest interest rate I qualified for was 13% I thought that was high so I left. I talked to my brother and he said that I should apply directly to the bank and the EXACT SAME BANK that Gateway told me said 13% actually said that I qualified for 6%. Gateway tried to charge me more than double!!!! So I took the email from the bank and went to Avondale and got the exact same car and my payments were $70 less a month. before you look for a car apply for a loan online first, that way you can see if a dealer is trying to rip you off

I bought a 2019 Chevy Malibu last year and had an issue with the window not working. Let s start with my first oil change, I came with an appt and let the service guy know I would be waiting for my car. Come 4 hours later at 7 PM, the receptionist overheard me in the phone talking about how long it was taking. Another worker comes to tell me THEY CLOSED AN HOUR AGO. Nobody even tried to come in the lobby to tell me my car was ready. Nobody knew where my car was, if it was done, and when I got my car back there was no apology, the worker was just talking in his phone and handed my keys. When i spoke to the GM later, he offered a free detail and full tank, ok cool whatever. Second time I come, they refused to look at my car unless they saw the window actively not working (at this point it was an off and on issue). So I bring I bsck the second it stops working and tell them while I m here to do my oil change, it took them TWO WHOLE DAYS to do an oil change and a 5 minute diag on why the window didn t work. They tell me it s the switch and I need to wait 1-2 weeks for the part to come in. About a week and a half goes by with no call or update so I have to call in and see if the part is ready. They say they tried to call number times, no missed calls or attempted calls (they ve called me before with no issue) . I come in to get the part changed, WITH AN APPOINTMENT. And after being told it would take about two hours, I m asked to leave my car yet again. After about 6 hours, I call to get an update on my car, and I was told it s been done they just didn t have two seconds to give me a phone call. They also tell me that the window switch didn t fix it and I now have to wait another 2 weeks for the window regulator to come in. Again, no call that it s ready, not until I called in myself. I came in at 7:30 WITH AN APPOINTMENT, and was told 2.5 hours for my car to be done. I checked in at 10 to be told not quite yet when asking if it s done. It is now 12:30 and still no update or finished car. Another customer I talked to as well said he came in at 8:15 AM and was told 1 hour and is still waiting as well. DO NOT SERVICE YOUR CAR HERE.

Very disappointed ! Never ever will I take my vehicle to this Chevrolet dealership for service we have 2 months taking our 2002 chevy tahoe for service and the first time I drove off with it after they serviced it the Tahoe stalled out on me ,so we ended up taking it again they said they would take care of it and our BILL ! went to 1,300 and the vehicle has not been fixed, it does what it has been doing since day one . Today is 8/2/18 and it stalled out in their parking lot and they refused service and told us we had to remove the vehicle or they would toll it away and these are trained professionals if that's what you want to call them . Just a heads up for you that want to take you car for service.

Service department tried charging $1200 for a job, I was quoted $400 by another repair shop. When I went in to pick up my car (at the time I told them I would be there) they told me they needed another hour. They admitted later they confused my car with another. Long story short I won t bring my vehicles there for service ever again.

Rude i waited 30 minutes for finance manager Julio and made a coffee and went to restroom never approached me guess customers are not priority and then I was parked out back employee parking w my bobrail big rig and manager harassed my husband saying this is private property but im inside Chevrolet wanting to.purchase a vehicle rude rude rude they get a big F FFF FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
