Garza Blanca Peurto Vallarta was awesome! A most friendly resort on a beautiful setting. Everything was 5 star except the noise, hence the 4 star rating. The resort has a tropical setting so as expected there is constant dried vegetation laying around. To clear pathways and roads they use leaf blowers that echo throughout the resort, all day long. There was also construction just outside the resort that echoed around us. I d suggest a quieter way to pick up dried leaves. Other than the that, the rooms are beautiful, the beds comfortable. The pools are warm and the drinks and food delicious. Not a great resort for children, but that is ok with us. We will return!

The worst place that can be known is much the greed of the owners who do not mind destroying their contour in order to enrich their pockets, and to be honest I give them a zero plus another zero the worst place in the whole world

Monica our guide was amazing. The sales people we talked too were very pushy. We had an especially unpleasant experience with an individual named Bryan, who was brought to our table because he was also Canadian. Bryan was rude and inconsiderate not to mention pushy to the extent that it made my wife and I very uncomfortable.

Very nice resort, we had a 2 bedroom ocean view which was well layed out. Food is excellent by any standard let alone all inclusive. Staff is as expected, nice and accommodating like other resorts we've stayed at. Sometimes it does take awhile to get served at the pool/beach even though the resort is not busy. That is our only issue we had, however it's a minor one. All in all very happy

My family and I ( total of 6) travel 1-2 times a y...

My family and I ( total of 6) travel 1-2 times a year. This was 10 days all inclusive stay.
Good resort with only good food and beautiful views. There is few things why you don't see 5 stars:
1. Room was not ready when we arrived, they also started renovating next room to ours we didn t mind until they started to paint and our terrace was smelling like oil paint (when we complain they stopped immediately) our agent as a thank you to us ordered bottle of champagne to our room (we were not aware) when she asked us how was champagne we said never received one
2. Contractions is going on 6 days a week, at front of tower 4 as well behind Mousai tower. Spoke to one of the workers and said that this construction will be going on for another decade as they are building new towers and condominiums.
3.Room service takes forever and make mistakes with your order regularly when you call them they want you to wait another 45 min to bring you what you order in the first time!!
4.BOCA steak restaurant has great views but when you order steak you need to be lucky if not its rubber
5.Not much of entreatment for adults at night you have to go to city
6.They still pushing to sell time shares ( which we almost bought) uffff
7. They have problem with hot water, my kids and my wife got burn few times
8.People who have time shares think they own place and have problem with kids in swimming pool ( they should buy time shares adults resort only!
9. If you like to sleep and go to beach around lunch time be ready to not get beach chair.
10. Beach area is really small and rocky

Now good things...
1. Amazing rooms, we had 2bdr panoramic suit with amazing ocean view. 3 bathrooms kitchen living room dining room, own steam room and large terrace where we had hot tube and hammock
2.Room service if not mistakes in order is good to, we enjoy our family breakfasts on the terrace with amazing views
3. Pool Bartenders by tower 4 AMAZING made my kids stay so luxury that now all they talk about is lets go back to Garza Blanca
4.SPA is fantastic my wife and I went to Mousai for relaxing massage
5.Personel overall is very polite and friendly always willing to help and if they dont know how to help they find someone who knows
6.Pool water was warm and not full of chlorine
7.Large hot tubs by the pools
8.amazing views were ever you are- your room, hot tub on your balcony or infinity swimming pools and of course roof top swimming pool at Mousia (kids not allowed) but there is kids club and babysitters that you can hire

Its good, not cheap resort/hotel. To perfection they still missing few steps but overall it was good family vacation (considering coming back maybe once all construction will be done?)

If I could give this place no stars and a hazard w...

If I could give this place no stars and a hazard warning, I would.

A woman by the name of Aileen Fritz was suckered into one of your lovely timeshare meetings, which came with a beverage and a meal. She expressly disclosed her severe allergy to berries, for which your staff profusely denied the presence of within her green infused water. She was lied to (or your staff is dangerously ignorant, neither of which is a great situation for you), and she went into anaphylactic shock and had a severe allergic reaction, resulting in hospitalization, an IV drip, and four injections (so far, one more in the morning before she boards a plane back to the US). She has been trying to communicate with this resort, being shuffled to and from management and above, being promised return calls, only to be hung up on, blames, and flat out ignored.

Not only will I be continuing my pursuit of social awareness, but I will also be guiding her in her legal pursuit to filing a lawsuit against this place.

FOR SHAME, AS SHE LITERALLY COULD HAVE DIED.

Pool is not heated, so no one can swim, it s freezing, charge 15 a night for wifi, water never hot for a shower, and food always always cold. Not a lot of selection when wanting to eat, and it s cold. So far away from town, it would be 45 dollars to and from, for a cab ride to shop. Worst experience ever, I always stay at the Marriott resort, and unfortunately they were booked this time around.

Worst experience in a Mexican resort ever.

Worst experience in a Mexican resort ever.
Before I dig in to everything I'll tell why I would give this place zero stars if I could: Terrible service, rude staff, and food poisoning.

My husband and I arrived before check in this past Saturday and because we knew we were going to arrive before our room was ready we called ahead and asked if they could store our bags in some sort of storage, as any hotel does, and they assured us they had a secure storage for our bags until our room was ready. We arrived, checked in and left our bags, including my purse with our passports and immigration papers, again I asked if our bags were going to be stored since they left the bags in the driveway where we arrived and they again said they would take care of it. My husband and I proceeded to leave to Mismaloya beach for a boat tour and so on and returned to the hotel at around 5:30 pm. Our bags were in the driveway where we had left them that morning at 10 am. I tried talking to the bellboys who then passed me along to their supervisor who said I had not asked for my bags to be put away. He was incredibly rude so when I could not deal with him any longer I asked to talk with his supervisor, he told me the manager was gone for the day. I did not believe that so I went inside to try to talk to someone else. Inside I spoke to a lady for about a minute before a manager, who was supposed to be gone for the day, Cesar, told me the bellboy should not have spoken to us that way, that we were right to be upset because of our documents being unguarded all day, blah blah just going along with me so I would leave his lobby. He said they would take care of us and hopefully erase the "bitter" experience we had during our first few hours in the resort.

Well, nothing of the sort happened, we were not checked on once during our stay at the hotel. We were locked out of our room TWICE and both times it took a long while before we were let inside. All the while, not so much of a phone call to follow up with our stay was received from management. Even during our check out, the staff did not ask how our stay had been. In every single resort we have stayed in, even some not so nice hotels in Mexico City I have visited, they always ask you how you enjoyed your stay! Could not believe it.

Now about the food poisoning, first of all the staff at the restaurant is so inattentive. We were without water a couple of times during our meals at the Mexican restaurant near the lobby, I had to ask for coffee multiple times during our second breakfast there, and my husband got so tired of waiting for the check that he had to stand up and ask another waiter for it. And the retaurant must have had four tables! It was basically empty! Anyway, we decided to check out and have some brunch before heading to the airport since we were short on time. We both ordered the Carne Asada and everything was fine until we got home and experienced the worst food poisoning of our lives. 24hrs later I am well enough to write this review, in hope that the staff improves their customer service, because as our experience was, we will never be returning to Garza Blanca again.

UPDATE 8/27: I received a reply to this review from the general manager (below) asking that I contact them to the email he "shared" with me so that he may follow up accordingly. That would be great except for the fact that I have not received any contact information from Garza Blanca Preserve to my inbox or google account.

Worst nickel and dime hotel I have ever come acros...

Worst nickel and dime hotel I have ever come across. My job has me travel every week (M-Th) so I know a thing or two about travel and what to expect from a hotel. Polices are outlandish with the following examples
- Internet (10 dollars per day per device)
- extra coffee in the room (5 dollars)
- checkout past 12pm (100 dollars per hour on every hour)
- massage (145 U.S. dollars for 50 minutes)

The rooms are new (towers 4,5,6) and have amazing views but lack functionality and purpose. Examples include
- no waste basket in the bathroom
- soap dispenser with no soap
- limited privacy with only partial door

The service was amazing in terms of pool side and bell boy. Hotel itself was well maintained and the gym was fantastic (shockingly complimentary).

The last straw for us was being held at the gate for 25 minutes while they tried to verify we had paid our 50 dollar tab at the pool (mind you our credit card was on file). When we asked to speak to the manager - they couldn't locate one - how convenient.

Great place to stay, rooms have beautiful views of the bay and food is great. If you are into good service and Wi-Fi connection though, this place might give you a hard time. LTE is not available here at all, forcing you to purchase expensive Wi-Fi that doesn't even cover your whole hotel room. To use the internet I would have to move from my bedroom to the balcony or kitchen, which was kind of aggravating. Service is also a bit of a problem, because most of them don't give you what you ask for or aren't even aware of the rules the resort has in place, which by the way is really SMALL. Hotel Mousai is only for adults, so if you're coming with kids under 16 you can't stay in it or go to the Hiroshi restraunt. (Best food in the resort by far) If any of these issues bother you significantly, then I would recommend choosing another place to stay. Other than those inconveniences, the place has treated me well, but not enough for me to recommend to others.

Pretty nice hotel. We got a whole package of Hotel/Flight from Costco. We go the Honeymoon suite and it had a pretty big balcony with hammock and hot tub. The hotel is pretty new so it is very nice.

The hotel has very good service at the front-desk, concierge, maid and pool. The restaurant quality of the food is high and the food was delicious.

The hotel is just a short bus/taxi ride from Puerto Vallarta's Zona Romantica.

Beware that hotel is deceiving customers. We stayed in the resort for five nights. During the check-in I asked whether breakfast was included in the price. Hotel representative told me it was included and gave me the name of the restaurants. At the checkout I was surprised that every breakfast was charged to us. My concerns about discrepancy were simply ignored by the staff. It is very disappointing. I think it is the policy of the hotel. Our friends arrived department see at the same time and they had exactly the same story

It is in an excellent place to swim in the sea without waves and spend a day at the beach very comfortable with the family. You have to bring umbrellas, water and snacks, since you can not use the hotel facilities unless you pay the day pass. The hotel is one of the most beautiful in the south. The place is very clean and so you have to keep it.

Very Disappointing. This is a very nice hotel and the Staff there is very Friendly, However Thier sales team can sure ruin a trip quickly. We went there to relax and enjoy a break from life however when you arrive, They put you through a standard pitch about their presentation and they offer you items (bribes) to get you to go. You can tell them no but they don't give up. Finally after 30-60 mins of continual push for this presentation we gave in and received a few different items in exchange for our attendance which will only take "1hr to 1.5 hr of our time". You then are passed off to another representative the next morning to have breakfast. After this you are then taken to a sales facility to show you the numbers and close you on a deal. If you were not interested in the beginning or the end of all this (AFTER 4-5 HOURS OF YOUR TIME) their staff continues to push. We had the fortunate experience to deal with a younger lady and then passed off to her boyfriend who accused us of wasting hers and his time. We never wanted any of this in the first place!! But with some free gifts we got convinced to spend an hour of our day! Yeah right! nothing like being pissed off on a relaxing vacation! AVOID THESE SALES PITCHES AND SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME!!!

Amazing property positioned at the base of mountains and the beach. Spend your morning watching the clouds slip by the peaks and then bask in the sun on the private beach protected by a rock jetty that provides parents a rip tide free haven for children as they splash in the ocean.

Ocean, rain forest Sierra Nevada Mountains, posh luxury accommodations & Spa, ***** restaurants ~ but, most importantly, hospitable dedicated staff who will go out of their way to ensure your stay is perfect.

Covid-policy is enforced and the new construction to expand the resort is kept to a minimum (9am to 5pm M-F).

The resort was outstanding everyone was so nice and friendly! The food was outstanding however at the end of our trip we noticed we were missing some items from our room my wife was missing her lip stick and some sun glasses from a young lady cleaning our room as we walk in and then she left without finish cleaning and they had a concierge by the name of Angel that came to our room to discuss some free activities we could take advantage of and the next day I noticed $100.00 missing that I had on the table. I asked for Angels whereabouts and of course he was off.So make sure you lock everything in the safe! We tried to complain when we were checking out but couldn t wait around.

Starting with the positive-

Starting with the positive-
The hotel is beautiful and the pools are AMAZING!! Although the hotel was full the pool was empty almost all the time (there are 3 pools) so we felt like it was private.
Service was incredible and kind.
Rooms are huge and amenities are great.
Comfortable bed and you have both a shower and a tub- loved it.
Food was ok. The steak restaurant was the best of all of them. Breakfasts was amazing.

We didn t love the trolly going from one building to another, this hotel is divided to 3 facilities.
Each in a different location, and you need a trolly to go from one to the other (if you don t wanna climb 1000 stairs)
We have a baby and with the stroller it was really uncomfortable and not really safe as well.
The hotel has absolutely no reception and they charge for WiFi which is such a basic amenitie in these days- that was disappointing.
