An excellent place to spend a good day of relaxation and tranquility

Great food, pools, rooms and the only thing that could improve was the wifi and just suck up the cost of cable instead of charging for each device using it

Incredible development! If we were even a bit interested in a "time share" type vacation service, this would be a serious consideration. So beautiful, and the sales staff were engaging and top notch.

I am only raiting restaurant and outside amenities. Pool has only one restroom for one person. Pool music us so boring, Blanca blue restaurant nothing special, menu and service nothing exceptional.

Beautiful the place, very good and decisive attention, place near the town

Definitely the best resort I've ever been to. The staff is AMAZING everyone is super nice and welcoming. Our room was perfect couldn't ask for anything else. We didn't get the all inclusive package so the food was a little pricey for us (still really good food though) . The beach was a big disappointment; it was very rocky and very small. Aside from that the service is amazing the resort has beautiful views everywhere. There is a trolley that takes you around the resort which is SUPER convenient.

Excellent place an unforgettable experience, and the treatment is spectacular.
I made my wedding in this beautiful place and my guests stayed here and everyone was delighted with the place and its beautiful beach.

Place is nice apparently it's a 5 diamond hotel seemed like a 5 star honestly, the room was okay everything is extrely expensive especially the food and the food it's not even worth the price, so go to downtown they sell better stuff and cheaper. Everyone is very nice except costumer service and when I mean costumer service I mean the ladies who are at the desk waiting for your arrival. I called months inadvanced to make the reservations asked many many questions just in case. When the day came me and my husband arrived late but I called ahead asking if there was any problem!? They said no that there is no penalty no charges at whatever time you arrived the next day we felt harrassed saying we were almost at a hour where we could of gotten our reservation canceled/penalty are you serious? When I called again to make my reservations they said you can get all inclusive for 1 day if you want but he'll no when you get there the least is 3 minimum days for all inclusive and btw we are paying as a time-share. Do not buy the time share it's not worth it the only thing you buy is a pretty view and a comfy bed everythin else cost! So when they offer it think about it cause you will be spending even more.

Stunning accommodations
Great breakfast

We booked a two bedroom suite with three beds in a "European plan" with complimentary breakfast for four persons. When we arrived, the front desk lady not only was confused about the number of people staying (four) but she was very rude . The suite seemed espectacular at first sight, but as we started to settle in we noticed that it wasn't cleaned properly, some of the coaches were stained, the whirlpool located on the balcony had very disgusting looking scumlines, the room service food was a average at best, and the room was infested with tiny little ants that were allover the place. It was so bad that we couldn't even spend the night in there. A dream weekend getaway turned into a nightmare.

If you like golf, you'll love the 27 hole gorgeous course. If you don't like golf, no worries. There's lots to do, relax and enjoy the swimming pools, a pool bar, or what about a private beach that feels like a pool wave-free? excellent for kids. Rooms are spacious, views are amazing... And there's a Marina, in case you like boats or happen to have one. The resort is so big that there's a small town within the property where you can find nice local restaurants with great food. Or simply catch a small boat to give you a ride across the bay, and enjoy dozens od restaurants at Barra de navidad.

For the amount of money I paid, I expect 5 stars hotel and service. The place is nice. The food is ok. The people are nice and friendly. You get bored fast unless you need to pay a lot more money to do activities not included. The ocean is not great and not clear. I won't come back again.

Good resort in a percent setting. Not quite the 5 diamond resort they say it is (housekeeping could use some lessons and they push the timeshare thing a little). Food is good though and the property is beautiful.

All well located in the mountains of the Sierra Madre Western a mix of beach and mountain but remote is the only one but that I put in addition to an excessive cost

It was beautiful but the service was hit or miss. Luck of the draw really. Not enough staff on the beach. 30 minutes for a towel or water was frustrating.

Great views from virtually every part of the resor. Great people and service. We attended a wedding and the hotel handled the large group with ease.
Highly recommend tge 1-bedroom. Although the suits are also gorgeous.

We arrived at Garza Blanca last Thursday and were delighted! The setting is magical, majestic, and mesmerizing. Had a nice dinner, went to our room, and were even more delighted. 8:00AM sharp the following morning we woke to screeching, rolling, breaking... The hotel management forgot to tell us and the other 14 people in our group they are cutting into the mountain to expand the resort.

Considering the prestige of the property and guest's expenditure , I expected to be notified in advance, or even more practical, to be placed in a room away from the noise. We were offered a different room 2 days after we arrived and tolerated the noise for 3 of 4 mornings there. Several others in our building 5 had the same complaint. We were also not notified that a busy highway with noisy truck traffic splits right down the middle of the property. More noise.

To add insult to injury, me and 3 others in the group got very sick from either a food or beverage. I needed a doctor and paid for her visit and meds. Again, great space, great staff, mostly great service, but a hotel of this caliber Must do better with guest experiences.

Our first interaction with one of their representatives (Karina) at the airport was pleasant. She was a very friendly and professional woman who provided a great deal of information. The following day we were prepared to attend their 75 minute presentation, knowing it was a timeshare type of deal we were expecting the high pressure sales tactics. However, what we received was much worse. The young woman who presented the resort to us was polite initially, she had told us she had moved from Canada and she seemed rather pleasant. We took the short and rather lackluster tour of one unit with no showing of the alleged amenitites. We advised her that we were not interested in purchasing yet another timeshare nor do we wish to sell ours. The 75 minute presentation became a two hour one with her asking the same questions repeatedly. We politely advised her again that we were not interested and that we had a schedule to keep and she totally ignored us. It makes one feel as if they are holding you hostage, it was awful. My friend was on her phone conducting her business when someone named "Larry" came up to introduce himself. The initial contact was cordial but he became extremely disrespectful. He was upset that my friend was on her phone and proceeded to give us a lecture and address us as if we were adolescents. My friend then explained to him that we were expecting to be out of there about 30 minutes ago and he said, "I dont care if you are here 5 minutes or 75 minutes..." They went back and forth for a bit and then he offered us a horrible final "deal" then left. The young woman was upset that we didn't purchase anything and complained that we weren't even interested and literally walked away with an obvious attitude. We have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism and disrespect. We would never consider conducting any business with this place; Not for a presentation or even to purchase anything. We will make sure to warn all of our associates and friends to avoid this place.

We did purchase a spa package and another excursion from them but we wanted to cancel them after that. The staff at the excursion desk was awesome so he definitely made us feel better about buying them there.

A completely wonderful place, you will not regret meeting him

If you decide to stay at Garza Blanca Preserve Hotel , the spa is a must. They have a great hydrotherapy spa with amazing views .

From my favorite beaches I love it and it is ideal for snorkeling very clean

In this other place I also work for a year and a half between 81 and 83, a very paradisiacal today, a great modern company

I have a hard time believing for one second that this place has been rated at between 4 or 5 stars. The hotel is a time share scam running out of the PVR airport and all over town. The employees are pushy and nosey during the presentation and the product isn't great. The presentation is one of the worst and longest I've ever been through and the bad cop types they send over are just that... bad cops. The people want thousands of dollars upfront and everything reeks of misleading information. Talk about High Pressure! They don't give you everything they promised for sitting through a presentation and we left emptyhanded, without any discount card we were promised. Also, the onsite bathroom must have been on a septic system because it didn't smell very good in there.

The place and the attention of the employees is the best. It also has a gym and a great spa. I did not like that I did not have a buffet to eat as an option. Always eat a la carte and for anything you consume make you ask for the account and sign, something that I think we're going to an all inclusive we do not want. When I went the tennis court was not available and it was a good reason why I chose the place; He was to play the last two days. I also do not understand why it is only open until 5 pm, having light until 8 and having artificial light.

Easily the best week of my life happened at this resort. Thank you to all the staff. 12 out of 10 would recommend. Just make sure to check travel advisories for the area around this location.

Took my daughter for a week to Garza Blanca. The location and the resort itself very beautiful. But watch out as they will try their best to make a member. The first day of our arrival, different concierges tried to get in touch with me to let me know about different activities. Their incessant pursuit felt like harrassment. The prices of food in the restaurant are so expensive that it makes sense to become all inclusive. The people working in the resort are very kind and helpful. It's the business model that I have an issue with. Overall, after the first few hurdles, our vacation was wonderful. Just be prepared to opt for all inclusive if you can and be firm with the concierges. The rest will feel just wonderful. The setting is really heavenly!

Everything about Garza Blanca is amazing. The rooms, the food, the service, the location. I can't even explain how amazing this place is. Expensive but worth every penny! Take me back!

I've been all over Mexico and now Garza makes me not want to go again. We found 6 charges on our bill and have called 3 times to get them to send a bill and they won't. Watch your bill closely at check-out and keep it simple don't order anything or use their "resort credit" other than your all inclusive. The panoramic rooms are very nice but not enough to take a disney trolley everywhere, be by the ocean stay somewhere else or in the ocean rooms, and leave the resort, this is a great town to explore! not eat steak in empty restaurants.

I invited 4 girlfriends to celebrate in the Grand Penthouse at Garza Blanca last month. A unique experience to remember for a lifetime ! The staff is so attentive, kind, resourceful; they really make a difference, offering an exceptional service in every ways. Some of them go beyond their task to assure that our stay will be memorable and that we will feel special, like a part of the Family... Wherever you look, it s clean, the nature is beautiful, mature trees and flowers are adding to the scenery. The food is more than delicious !Have no words to describe such a perfect Paradise. Garza Blanca is my favorite place to go ... deserves a Gold Medal !!!

Make sure you visit Francisco and Javier at the beach. So accommodating, friendly and fun to hang out with. Also if you do the timeshare presentation... request JC. Three very cool amigos! Las Caletas is a fantastic getaway if and when you even want to leave the resort.

We have stayed at the Garza Blanca twice now. We absolutely love it here. The first time we didn't bring the kids and didn't do all inclusive but just the bed and breakfast option. We fell in love with the place and so we decided to bring the kids back. We just came back about a week ago and I have nothing but good things to say about the resort. This place feels and looks like 5 stars. I have to say the food at all the restaurants is amazing. People aren't heavily drinking which is nice and its also a smaller resort. We love the workers here they all do such a great job. The only thing I would suggest is to get some comfortable bath towels- the ones they provide are a little thin. Other than that this place is hands down amazing. I would like to keep coming back twice a year.

A luxury splurge, which can be said of a hotel like Garza Blanca. The attention of the staff, the details in each corner, the suites, the infinite pools, the beach, the food in order ... every penny spent on accommodation is worth it ...

Don't get me wrong, there are no bad days here and I'm glad we came. The service was mediocre though, especially for a resort that should be at partial capacity.

We had to change rooms after the first day, the new room's mini bar never got stocked despite asking, had to fight to get service at the pool and often the servers would disappear for 20 minutes or promise their colleague would be there momentarily. This was despite tipping 15-20% the whole trip. Ran out of towels for over an hour at the pool. We ordered room service for breakfast on our final day there and it took over an hour to arrive. We had to inhale our last meal before dashing to the airport. Food was hit or miss as well, from spectacular to inedible (not exaggerating).

Again, the hotel was only at partial capacity as far as we could tell, but the service was overwhelmed. There were COVID protocols in place, but many of the staff would appear with masks dropped below their nose while talking to you. There may have been a suggestion for guests to mask in public areas but that certainly wasn't happening either.

Had an $80 USD resort credit from Costco which they initially forgot to ring up at check out, then applied at a discounted conversion rate (19 pesos to the dollar).

So I'd come back to PV in a heartbeat. This resort? Maybe not.

Update: note that hotel management responded to this review, as they do for every less than positive review. They've left no contact information or other means to follow up though. Just trying to save face.

Everything was great until the discovery that they charge $10 for every device that connects to their provided Wi-Fi. Cheap money grab that does the place more disservice than the revenues earned. Other than that, get an ocean view room as high as possible, floor wise.

The hotel is amazing! The grounds are beautiful and the staff is amazing. Concierge will invite you to a timeshare presentation and I actually thought it was worth attending to see all that the resort offers. However, be careful of them making promises they can't keep. We were offered free wifi for the duration of our stay (1 week) only to learn that they can't do that and the wifi the lady provided was her password so it didn't work in our room. We didn't learn this until later which was frustrating because we were willing to do the presentation anyway. Don't be afraid to ask for adventures in exchange for your commitment to attend a timeshare presentation. It's a win- win!

Love the resort! We come almost every year! Fantastic staff, everyone is so helpful and friendly. All inclusive has gotten a tad expensive though. We found we spent less on food and drinks than what we had actual spent on all inclusive each day.

Absolutely beautiful resort. The staff is very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable. The food at the restaurant is amazing, the beach is very nice and they have paddle boards and kayaks you can use if you get a day pass or stay there. This is where I'll be staying in the future.

The grounds take your breath away. Not an easy feat in this beautiful city!
