What a luxurious hotel! I must say I absolutely loved staying here. We had a 2 large bedroom which had a beautiful view of the ocean and swimming pool area. The beds were comfy and the food was delicious! Staff went out of their way to help us in any way needed be.

Totally fabulous !!! The combination and balance between nature, its smells, sounds and sights, and the imposing buildings that seemed to be sown in the jungle ... Sublime and comforting escape from the bustle of daily life.

Exceptional views and an exceptional facility with a fantastic staff in a great location. This resort is located between Los Cabos and San Jose giving you the option each day to experience activities in either city. We enjoyed the low pressure and quaint shops in San Jose with very gracious shopkeepers. We enjoyed the marina and the food from all the waterfront restaurants in Los Cabos. This location gives you the opportunity to experience both cities and a world class resort.

We had the best romantic dinner for 2 and had wonderful views on the beach and enjoyed the resort and highly recommend it for others.

Jose Angel the butler was fantastic and super helpful. Brian Wyborn the Sales Manager was a great representative of the Tafer brand and did all he could to protect the customer. Mariana Mendoza the concierge did all she could to make sure we had an exceptional visit and took great care of us. The valet parking staff of Victor and Alberto took care of our every need and made sure they delivered the most exceptional services available and represented the resort in extraordinary fashion. Melanie at the front desk made check in effortless and went out of her way to assist with anything else. The entire staff is exceptional, and they made us feel welcome and safe.

William and I want to thank the entire staff for the fantastic visit we had.

We had a wonderful visit and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for great service, great views, and a romantic location.

Wouldn't recommend it. Overpriced, gym, tennis courts and pools are very far from one another and require a bus for transportation. Menus don't mention some items not included in all inclusive menu!

Too many options in beautiful puerto vallarta to swing wrong on this one.

Also waiters are aggressive and thuggish.
There are 100s of empty hotels in PV yearning for tourists. You can get way more value than this place and avoid taking a bus just to go to a pool or restaurant.

Chose this location expecting a five star experience, the bad unfortunately outweighed the good for us - would not visit again and would not recommend. Considering the price of ~$500/night for all inclusive package for a double ocean view room, the star rating above is justified. Notes: visited in January all inclusive, with kids (adult only restaurants could not be evaluated)

Pros:
1. beautiful views, clean and well maintained grounds, pools
2. nice man made sandy beach with obstacle for controlling waves
staff is attentive is not overly friendly
3. steak restaurant was great both in food and service
4. beach concierge person was extremely helpful, nice to kids
5. kids club gals were nice, too bad they limited to 5yr+
Cons:
1. food poisoning within 24 hours of arrival after eating at blanca blue (two in our party with nausea, vomiting, fevers) had peanut butter sandwich in the plane and no other foods in mexico prior to this). management notified, did nothing to remedy it - ruined 2 of the 5 days we were there
2. swarms of tiny ants in our room, also mentioned in other reviews. can not leave any food outside fridge for more than a few minutes + mysterious biting insect
3. Food overall LOOKS GOOD but TASTES EXTREMELY BLAND. Chefs at the main resort seem to struggle with too much salt or no salt at all routinely. very disappointing food experience overall with the notable exception of the steak restaurant.
4. Street noise! main resort is located on a thin sliver of land between main road and beach. poor sound insultation of the rooms means lots of ocean noise (soothing) and street noise (not soothing).
5. The hotel complex lacks an identity or a theme, is it adult only, or family oriented? is it all inclusive or ala carte? it lives in no man zone and the results show. random buddhist statues seem out of place in PV... not enough emphasis on local cuisine/drinks (tons of vodka based "signature" drinks and paste guacamole that looked and tasted like it was store bought were examples of un-inspired offerings at the main resort).
6. waking up every morning and commuting 20 minutes each way to get to a gym all the way across the resort either with a steep hike or by waiting for a trolley ride is ridiculous, there should be a gym in the main resort.
7. all inclusive paper work states "includes gratuities", yet every little food and beverage item comes with a check where the tip line is marked with an x. If it is all inclusive and you wear a wristband for five to indicate that, why make people sign their name each time other than to push for tips. and if tips are expected, then why say that all inclusive package includes gratuities.

Overall it looks as though somebody spent a lot of money making this resort and lots of work go into maintaining it and everything certainly looks gorgeous from the views, to the grounds to the food. If you look closer though, flaws emerge and once you are there long enough, they are hard to ignore. New management, with a serious overhaul can help elevate this place to truly 5 star level quality and service.

Stayed there last week and it was the best vacation we have ever experienced. The staff was amazing and very attentive to all our needs. The food was incredible and the drinks were to die for. We would of course recommend this resort to anyone looking to relax by beautiful pools with a great view.

So far was a great experience at the Garza Blanca until today. ( it was my second time here) Great service, and people really wanted to make sure that you are comfortable. But today I was on the beach with some new friends and I had been told by a beach server that he was going to charge me for food because I supposedly was sharing. ( I am on the all inclusive plan) I was so confused. I didn t know what kind of plan my new friends had.( I guess it was not all inclusive) I didn t have breakfast much because I went to gym, I was starving after. I order two guacamole and chips, one scallop and one shrimp. Later I had a couple of shrimp skewers. That was all for 2 people: my daughter and my self. He said it was too much.
Ok, make sure if you on all inclusive plan absolutely don t give anything to anyone to sample your food. Make sure that you are not sharing with anyone ANYTHING.
He could politely have brought up to my attention rather than threatening to charge me. I am not watching who finished my guacamole and chips, I did offer them to sample squid but that was about it. The waiter was so rude. Unbelievable. ( I was always tipping $1, $2, $5 every time they serve)
Not coming back. Feels like this trip they focus on tips only. I was really generous always but this left bitter taste. ( By the way the people was next to me couldn t eat shellfish for cultural beliefs and everything I ordered was seafood and shellfish)

I don't usually give reviews other than to mark the stars. First off the place is beautiful and amazing views but AI is not worth it the food is just ok. I've been to places where people know your name go out of their way to get to know you but this is set up as a timeshare resort or ownership which takes away from the whole vacation feel of it because they want to sell you something. The first nite we were there it took an hour and a half to get our food and after traveling with a teen who is hungry and all she ordered was a grill cheese is just absurd. Their compensation was an appetizer of pork rinds really? We were told that we could use all 3 pools including the rooftop Pool which you can but not until 7pm. Money is no option to me so when I had limitations on certain areas when I wasn't told so is a little embarrassing when you are treating that special someone. Anyway won't stay here again.

We have been awaiting resolution to our request to cancel/discontinue our membership with the Garza Blanca Residence Club for months now due to predatory and fraudulent sales tactics and false advertising.

We are extremely dissatisfied with the false amenities advertised for the Garza Blanca club membership. When we signed up to be members of Garza Blanca , we did it because we were sold on the cost savings for luxury amenities. After attempting to book our first trip, we learned that we would actually be spending more money just for those amenities. It will cost my wife and I, nearly $1400.00 to eat and drink all inclusively as well as have a shuttle transport us to and from the airport. Mind you this is in addition to the $400/month cost of the membership. Our trip to Puerto Vallarta in April only cost us $1400.00 to stay, drink and eat, and also included our flights. When the saleman/crook Jorge Braulio De Alba Jimenez provided us with club member information, he stated that the resorts were all inclusive (not that it was sold separately) and that there would be a free shuttle service provided for club members from the airport to the hotel. We were verbally sold on elite membership and provided a contract for the exact opposite.

When discussing these issues with Ms. Diana Martinez, our dissatisfaction has led to us requesting a cancellation of our club membership. We understand that per our contract, we have the right to cancel our member agreement within five (5) business days from the date of purchase, without penalty. That is not what was communicated to us by our salesman/crook, Mr. Jorge Braulio De Alba Jimenez. Instead he and others on their sales team told us that we were required to hold the contract for at least 1-year prior to cancelling our membership.

Long story short, avoid this place like the plague. They're liars, thieves, and scammers!!!

I was invited to a time share presentation and in return was promised an atv tour. The "90 min" presentation took almost 6 hours of my day. If the lunch they offer to the presentation guests is the same they offer to hotel guests then I would say you wouldn't be eating much at the hotel. The food was mediocre at best. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and I was considering some type of timeshare there as i travel to P.V. about 6 times a year. I left with my voucher for atvs and went to bok days later as I was told to do. The woman on the phone told me the hotel staff had to do it for me and I had to return. An EXPENSIVE taXi ride back was not something I really wanted to do. But I did. They then booked the tour for me but refused to compensate for taxis. All in all it was another 2 hours out of my day and $50 usd. I am less than satisfied with there customer service and this before they even signed me to a time share. I can only imagine how they treat people when they already have them in a contract and you can't get out no matter how bad the service may be. Be warned.

The attention of the staff is incredible, always with an attitude of making you feel comfortable and is identical for national and foreign tourists. But the room was a disappointment, they delivered it late and still with correspondence from the previous guest, the refrigerator did not cool, the TV stand failed and we found a dead cockroach.

I will say I love this resort we have vacationed here 5 years in a row.. This year we will have to make a move . Garza blanca has become all but kids day care . Up to 3 kids stay free. They don't have an adults only pool... Hard to relax when 8 kids are piled up in the hot tub with you!!! Or you see parents with toddlers in the pool wearing pampers!! Or you try to eat a romantic dinner with the wife and kids are running around unchecked aT the steak house!!! If you're a family this is your place!!! If you are a couple trying to get away from kids stay clear of Garza Blanca!!

This is our first time staying at Tower 5 and it is incredible. Simply Divine. Like something out of Town & Country, Mexico Edition. Everything is luxurious, the furnishings are top-notch and the design and accessories are very very beautiful. I would highly recommend this property for a vacation of any length. The service is exceptional and Ana and Marisol, our concierge team are lovely and very professional. Horacio, our Member Services representative is also very helpful and committed to Excellence.

This is what many feel is wrong with tourism. It's built to impress and inflate egos. That's from the guests to the employees. It's a taxi ride to actually see anything except Garza Blanca. Oh it's nice to be sure but take a cruise if that's what you want (I suggest Panama Canal). If you want to really visit Puerto Vallarta why stay at a place that is a cookie cutter product of thousands of hotels any where in the world?

The Rooms were AMAZING! Wrap around deck with hammock, spacious interior. The Pool is really relaxing, staff is very helpful, food is SO good! The spa onsite is a major bonus! I would definitely come back here again, HIGHLY reccomended

If you want American in PV stay here. We where dragged to a ridiculously long time share presentation with the promise of free gifts which were not worth the time. The place is definitely beautiful but 98k to get a time share ? You're crazy.

Gorgeous!

GARZA BLANCA PRESERVE:

GARZA BLANCA PRESERVE:
Garza Blanca is the ultimate exclusive high end resort. My favorite and have to say that I would run out of words trying to describe my experience there in Puerto Vallarta. You have to go and explore it for yourself is all I can say right now! On the other hand I don't fall for the timeshare or "presentation " as they call it. I rather keep my freedom of enjoying where and when I can go with no restrictions or blackout dates to stop me as well as the commitments of having to pay for maintenance expenses on top of debt already accrued, it's senseless to me.
Other than that this place is to die for!!!
