Amazing service. It is as if they took every problem you've ever had in previous hotels - and made.every effort to prevent them. Great facilities. We had a huge place for three of us and almost never wanted to leave the room. This is a great place to stay - 15 minute Uber from the city.

This is absolutely my favorite vacation ever and the resort is one of the best I ve ever stayed at. We were treated extremely great by the entire staff. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. The food was also amazing, steak house was great but the sushi place was pure magic, I super miss it.
Only issue is I would like it if they had a game room for teenagers.
Daytime kayaking, hiking, views all extraordinary.
I read 1000 reviews, many complain about the bill signing even though you are all inclusive, I didn t think it was that big of a deal.

Beautiful place. BUT don't be deceived. The folks treat you real nice...UNTIL you say "no" to buying something you've wasted 3 hours of your vacation listening to this sales pitch. Then they kick you to the curb and money for a cab..

We went here for our honeymoon and returned for our 1 year anniversary and the 3 years following. Can't wait to go again this spring. This is by far the nicest resort I've ever been to. They are so accommodating and the suites are exquisite. The food is great too and you cannot beat the views from the pools.

Terrible service.

Terrible service.
The staff is not friendly, the toilets are not hygienic (you smell very bad), the treatment towards the American people is warmer than towards the Mexican people as well as the attention.

The resort and staff are 5 stars. Ypu are addressed by first name and the staff does all it can to ensure that you have the best stay. The restaurants and spa are incredible. We will be back next year.

I would have given 5 stars for this resort except for the fact that there was major construction on the site. We were supposed to be at the buildings on the beach but they gave us a free upgrade to a room in tower 5 on the mountain. We were impressed..!!! What a great accomodation. And what a view. Saw whales from the balcony every day. We like to cook our own meals so the well equipped kitchen was a treat. Last but not least the personal at this resort are always friendly and helpful with a smile on their face. The shot the lights out for our stay at Garza Blanca...

I hope you're having a great day today. The staff was very nice and helpful. The place was very clean. We came for a tour and saw beautiful rooms. They bargained and asked for a seventy thousand dollar membership, and said we would get benefits, but didn't. It's mandatory that you bring your credit card to the place so that you can get something in case you like it.

Absolutely beautiful resort and hotel. Staff was all very friendly and helpful. Only issues included resort staff not being ready to serve breakfast at 7am when restaurant opened and seemed disgruntled that we were the only ones there so early, so if you're an early riser...beware! You need to take a trolley or shuttle to your room since it is about a 5-minute walk to the main resort lobby. Room was clean and the welcome chocolate was yummy! Planning a trip back, soon, and would definitely return to stay here. Great value for the rate!

PROS:

PROS:
The resort looks wonderful, the aesthetics are pristine, as well as the condition that they keep the rooms. The staff, for the most part are knowledgeable and polite. I would really suggest going to the restaurant that they have at the from entrance, for it's the best one in the resort (both in regards to food quality and service.)

CONS:
I would like to start by saying that when I went, we decided to get the "all-inclusive" package, so if you choose not to get this, your experience may be different.

One of the biggest complaints that I would have against this place is that the staff seem to have a lack of communication between each other, especially when it comes to the different towers.

Another downer is that they supposedly have wonderful trails that you can walk to enjoy the tropical climate of Mexico. Yet, they will promptly tell you that "you can't go on the trails without being a part of a tour." Now, I would like to know why. I would understand if there were beach activities that are suspended due to weather, however, a trail that is REQUIRED to have a guide? Are the trails themselves poorly marked? Are there dangerous animals up in the trails? Is it cartel activity? Why? I know that some would choose to go with a group so that they can learn about the natural vegetation/animals that live in the mountains. However, I also believe that there are a good number of people that think that hiking with a group really takes away from the hike. Some, like myself, who enjoy trekking though nature, alone, appreciating it without the sound of other people. So, yeah, shame, really, I was looking forward to it too.

Yet another complaint, and this may have a little less to do with the resort, than this one particular employee. But when I pay money to stay somewhere, I don't pay to hear the employees complain about how they have to work. No one likes to work, but everyone does. You want to complain about it? Do it when there's no guests around, instead of at the side of the pool where EVERYONE can hear you.

My semi-final complaint, and this may also be because I am a cheap ass. But, when we purchased the "all-inclusive" it stated the gratuity would also be added to the waiter that served us. Meaning, that the tip's covered. 15%, if I remember correctly. And considering that EVERYTHING at the resort is severely overpriced compared to downtown, the tips really add up. However, if, god forbid, you decide to leave no additional tip (which does not mean that you aren't leaving a tip at all, it's included, remember), we had one waiter literally come to our room from the restaurant to "get a second signature" that wasn't required when we rent to the restaurant last time (and left an additional tip then too,) with expectation that whomever signed the second one would enter an additional tip. I mean, really? Shame on you.

And my final complaint, when you choose to get the all inclusive, certain restaurants, will take an extra long time to serve you, and will sometimes not even give you the food menu, and rack your bill up with the most expensive crap that they have. And I use the word crap, because some of the food that they brought out really, really, really, sucked. They'll also act like they're giving you drinks, but they're carving you for them too. I would just avoid the "Japanese" themed restaurant in their newest tower. The actual sushi rice doesn't have any rice vinegar mixed in, leaving the rice tasteless. Also, when they grab the rice, they squeeze the hell out of it, making the rice more like a rock. Gentle does it. The sake they give you is cold, which would be fine, if the sake was different, but the one that they gave us needed to be heated.

Overall, this place is all show with little actual quality. I would suggest going here if you were an older individual who likes to just sit by the pool all day, instead of going into town and experiencing what Puerto Vallarta has to offer. However, if you even have a single inkling of a desire to do something, go somewhere else

I was at the penthouse for a whole week with my family and yet I had to switch penthouses due to the first one being extremely broken, stairs creaking, and lights not working. They also gave us "free wifi" but as we left, we had to pay for the wifi, which was $790! For 7 people. I do not recommend going here anymore, garza Blanca was good about 4 years ago but now it feels like a cheapskate resort. Do not come.

The grounds, rooms and people are wonderful.

The grounds, rooms and people are wonderful.
The food at the steak house along with the view was spectacular. The menu and food at Blanca Blu. is bazaar.
Because they wholesale so many rooms at at highly discounted rate, there are a LOT of screaming children in the pools, with extremely uninterested parents in disciplining their children, that ruin a vacation for others that are looking for some quiet and peaceful time.
Also there was an inordinate amount of gay men there and that really keeps it from being any kind of a family vacation.
As I said in my last post I guess Garza Blanca wants to be the resort for gay men and screaming children.
I would not recommend it if you're looking for some quiet time at the ocean.

Sea, hill, vegetation and very good attention. The panoramic views are the mega plus. What needs to be improved is the food, a menu like this in Mexico is not acceptable with the diversity and culinary tradition.

Beautiful and clean beach, with white sand, formerly the exclusive property of the hotel, now, free to the public. Only two drawbacks, it does not have palapas to protect itself from the sun and without toilet services unless it is a hotel guest.

Beauty, comfort and luxury at its best. We stayed in the 2 bedroom panoramic suite and it was well-appointed with all the upscale touches considered -- L,Occitane toiletries, ceiling to floor windows that you could push open to take in the impressive view and refreshing sea breeze, a hammock on the expansive balcony, plenty of robes and slippers for everyone, our own personal infinity jacuzzi. You name it and it is here; every detail was thought about and covered. The property is very clean and well-maintained. Also, we chose the all-inclusive option so that we could dine on all the 5 star options this hotel had to offer. We will definitely return.

Don't be deterred by the negative reviews. My boyfriend and I just got back, last night, from 5 days and 4 nights at Garza Blanca. Yes, they will try to get you to do the "promotion" in the promise of gifts. Here's our story. I booked GB a week before we got there from Travelocity in a package deal. I then called the resort who gave us a better deal if we booked right through them. So, the first thing you do is find cheap flights and then call the resort and let them know you found a deal through one of the online travel agencies, they will match or better the deal. Secondly, if you are going to leave the hotel and eat/drink anything away from the resort, don't get the all inclusive deal. If you plan on spending all of your time at the resort do the all inclusive at the time of booking. We ate one meal by the pool one night, had a few drinks and we ate breakfast one morning, the rest of the trip we ate street tacos and some beach food. We stopped at the grocery store on our way from the airport and picked up a bunch of water, beer, and tequila. They don't care if you drink your own anywhere on the property, except at the rooftop bar at Mousai. Our total bill at the end of the 5 days was less than $150 USD, for food, drink and internet. (The internet is free around the pool, restaurants and lobbies. FB is always free, and you're on vacation; UNPLUG and ENJOY!) The food we had was great and beautifully prepared and there is a lot to choose from.

The resort is absolutely a 5 star resort! The property is beautiful, the rooms are spectacular, and every single staff member is friendly and helpful. I would stay here again in a minute.

The Bell boys were amazing. Nestor, the head bell hop, gave us a lot of local tips on where to go, what to see and who to contact for activities that the resort didn't offer. He, Carlo, Margarito and Salvador really took care of us all week.

I really can't say enough good things about this resort. Every single employee, from the housekeepers, front desks, chefs, bartenders, management and gate attendants, ALWAYS greeted us with a smile, a welcome and made us feel very taken care of.

A few more tips:
As for an upgrade upon arrival.
Buy your beer, in a can, from the Farmacia or Mega Grocery.
Don't sweat the sales pitch.
RELAX!

BEAUTIFUL. Lovely grounds, tucked into the mountain with jungle all around you! Great for kids and Adults, two pools, one shady, one sunny. Fabulous beach and beach services. Very attentive staff, with unforced kindness. Room quality very good.
Food also of good quality and choice.
Would definitely urge a stay here.

Nice place for vacation and location is not far from downtown Puerto Vallarta. Offers all inclusive option. All rooms offer beautiful kitchen for you to cook (if you choose to do so). The infinity pool offers relaxing atmosphere. The on-site spa and gym adds more fun to your vacation. I love various hikes and waterfalls around this property.

The staff is well trained and helpful. Loved our trip over there. The oceanfront room accommodates guests quite comfortablely.

Bought a time share, been waiting sweating, dying for about 6 hours so far. Haven t even been able to check in. Do not buy the timeshare or try to stay here. It is not equal to the other places in the area and when you spend 4 thousand a year plus your stay, they cannot even accommodate you to a motel 6 courtesy.

Beautiful! Well appointed rooms with magnificent views. We stayed in the two bedroom panoramic. While the trolley ride from down below (lobby, beach, breakfast, etc) got old, it was worth it to be in the tall towers with the views of jungle city and ocean.

Resort did not meet our satisfaction. We booked a ...

Resort did not meet our satisfaction. We booked a penthouse and should have been accommodated appropriately. Our reservation was moved from Hotel Mousai to Garza Blanca without disclosing as such. We were offered a free upgrade and must have be moved to Garza at this time. We were no longer in the 18+ year old, contemporary resort. We had been moved to a family resort. This info was not told to us, only that it would be a penthouse with an ocean view. Our upgraded penthouse was NOT a penthouse. It was a three bedroom apartment suite, located on the 4th floor. We were expecting a true penthouse on a higher floor as presented on the website when booking, especially given the price we paid. We were then prohibited from using the Hotel Mousai rooftop pool and lounge chairs during the day hours as we had planned since we were moved to the other hotel.
They had my name incorrect the entire time. They kept calling me by my middle name and misspelling it. Even after correcting several people.
Our room leaked. No one did anything about it even though we informed them. We had to put towels around the room to prevent us from slipping and falling and move our belongings to keep them dry.
Our transportation back to the airport was a no show. We used VIP services based off the recommendation on the Hotel Mousai website and paid them in advance. We confirmed the pick up with the butler and he said it was all set. When we went to meet our driver, he was not there. The woman helping with departures said they were coming. 15 minutes later, she said they were across at Hotel Mousai. After 35 minutes, she had arranged a taxi for us to take to the airport. We arrived an hour late to the airport and were rushed to get through security to make our flight.
The staff then tried to make things right by offering a gift certificate or refund, which we highly appreciated. We would love to try the correct resort, given we find the time to getaway again before any gift certificates would expire; but the staff member had to check on approvals and has never returned my call or email.
