Suite was amazing and was lovely and clean.

Great venue for a wedding. Attentive staff, fantastic food and decoration, and the venue itself is set on beautiful grounds. The ceremony cottage is also a nice change from the norm of having a room within the main building dedicated to the vows and made a great impact on the experience as a whole.

Management at spa working from home cannot get to speak to her receptionist gives you a load of lies, had to go to Management of orsett Hall who sorted my problem out would use orsett Hall but would not touch the spa with a barge pole

Nice rooms. Food good. Nice gardens to sit in on a sunny day to enjoy a drink.

Had a massage. Had better and at less cost. I guess it depends on the masseuse you have.

Just had my 70th birthday lunch, absolutely made my day with the family, absolutely fantastic meal. All our party loved it great service, nice surroundings, Proper Sunday Lunch!!

Me and the wife tried here for afternoon tea as it was local. Did not disappoint. Food was good, staffs were attentive and it has a very nice family atmosphere. Defo recommended for anyone and will come back again in the future

Not impressed. Top prices, bar staff didn't even know what glasses to serve drinks in. For what they charge management should be sure to train the staff.

From Metro News March 10, A young couple have been left devastated after their luxury wedding venue cancelled just 12 days before their ceremony.

Ellemay Gumble, 18, could not wait to tie the knot with Luke Booth, also 18, at Orsett Hall, in Thurrock, Essex, on March 18.

Attended many networking events here. Fab canapes. Toured the new wing and that looked wonderful.

Went for spa day with afternoon tea. Spa is really nice with pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and relaxation room, mini facial was excellent. Afternoon tea was lovely, good selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes. Will definitely go again.

We had a lovely cream tea here beautiful decorated rooms very relaxing and welcoming. There are different bar areas they are also lovely well kept. The grounds are pretty with lots of flowers and places to sit and watch what is going on around the place.

Food served between 7.30 and 10pm.Long delays between courses, so didn't wait for dessert or Jersey Boys tribute....waste of money

Fantastic place to go for afternoon tea - baby shower - or meal with friends - or to have a wedding as been for each . A1 staff . First class service and so clean and the experience of being relaxed and being with friends and in a comfortable environment. Also perfect to go and have a pampering day .

Went with my daughter on a spa day with afternoon tea. We enjoyed it very much, good, clean facilities, excellent staff and a fab tea. Will return.

Ran out of hog roast at 3pm at the Father's Day BBQ on Sunday 18th June.


This was despite being told half hour previous that we could go and get hog roast at anytime!

Scandalous that orsett hall can charge this amount for basically a burger & chicken!

Would never ever go back, and didn't receive an apology, saw loads of people complaining and demanding their money back.

Paid for a "superior" room, it was hotter than hell, the aircon didn't work and the sash window wouldn't stay up. Housekeeping came up and confirmed the aircon wasn't working, then reception told me the room was getting colder. I managed to jam the window open with the bible, sadly the kitchen extractors were outside and making a racket. If this is a "superior" room the standard ones must be really awful.

Absolutely lovely! So impressed with my room. Dinner and breakfast was wonderful. I will definitely be returning. Could potentially hold my wedding here!

Thought afternoon tea wad poor! Changed our scones for plain & got us to return other scones on the table when I asked what happened to them they said they were thrown in the bin?! Why remove them, just leave them & let them be eaten surely? What a waste! Over priced & poor sandwiches!! Won't be returning!!

Looks beautiful, heard the afternoon tea is nice...unfortunately visited on Sunday and only Sunday lunch was available...very bland, and a great disappointment.

Attended a meal in one of the dining rooms. The food was really good and the staff were all very professional, helpful & friendly.

Great venue for a wedding. A photographers dream with amazing grounds for portraits.

Lovely spa package with excellent treatment. However, I understand that domestic staff have been laid back to a bare minimum which is very apparent - empty shampoo bottles in all 3 showers, no hand towels or plastic wash bags and pretty grubby areas in some areas which is not ideal in a spa facility. Shame as the standard has always been very high.

Attended the wacky wednesday children's party today held in the Pavilion room...The "AJ Entertainers" were excellent..and the venue was very well organised....however, once inside there was also face painting available which you had to pay More

Lovely hotel and grounds with attentive staff. The breakfasts were amazing. Stayed there for Christmas. As for Christmas dinner... Never again. Expensive and dreadfully poor all round. A Complete contrast to the hotel stay itself

Fabulous place, wonderfully decorated extraordinary chandeliers, elegant atmosphere with delicious food.

Great morning checking out the antiques fair today. Plenty of indoor stalls to browse and buy. Easy to find with free parking. Came home with a couple of nice pieces. Would revisit.

Just had cream tea with Santa the grandkids loved it, was fantastic, great service, every child felt special, and came away not only full up, but most of all very very happy great work, cannot wait for next year thank you so much xx

I was invited to present by a local organisation, therefore my time at the venue was limited. The venue is well laid out with beautiful grounds. And ideally location for a social function or a wedding
