A wonderful afternoon at a Golden Wedding.
Service was brilliant, grounds and buildings are all in good condition.

A very nice hotel, comfortable with very friendly staff.

Attended for a wedding. Not much exposure to their staff but seems a very nice venue in a picturesque location

Attended a wedding here, a beautiful place and setting, the food was delicious and even accommodated for my young daughter who has Coeliac disease... that will always earn a great review!

Shocking behaviour! Cancelling a wedding for a travelling family for no reason 8 days before the wedding then saying they feared the family would bring guns! what a crock of shite! also delete posts of facebook when it suits them.

Beautiful surroundings and a building with a lot of history. We were there for a 70th birthday party and it didn't disappoint. Great food served as a buffet and friendly staff. Sat outside in summer sun with drinks afterwards.

Nice place but bar staff seem to set their own prices. No consistency.

We had our beautiful wedding and orsett hall on 2nd November 2019 , and we can say was one off the best days of our lifes .
The rooms were beautiful and clean , staff very polite and professional and was there if we needed anything .
We hired a brilliant DJ Gary from orsett hall would highly recommend him .
from start to finish he had everyone up on the dance floor . amazing day !.

Visited the garden restaurant for a family birthday. Food was nice, but feel it could have been better for the price, steak was about dry so was the chicken Kiev. Staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble a good laugh!

Went for a wedding. Had a wonderful time. All staff friendly and helpful. Rooms comfortable and clean

We has a great school reunion in the jaguar bar. Bar staff excellent, remembered your whole round of drinks

Fantastic looking hotel however, the room was too hot so I turned the thermostat off and opened the window. Breakfast was good however pots of condiments, that had already been opened, were still on the table. The pot of tea arrived with bread crumbs on the bottom so it can only be assumed the pot hadn't been put through the washer after it's last use.

Went for afternoon tea as my mum had never been so my sister and I bought it as a mother's day present and thought it would be nice as I got married at the original Orsett Hall some years ago. Sorry to say for what we got and for what we ate, it was somewhat disappointing and expensive. The cakes were a bit weird in that we got blondies instead of brownies, orange and earl grey tea cake which was dry, caramel/toffee eclairs with popcorn. The scones were nice. Then there was my little nieces sandwiches.... well she was creating a fuss about eating them and we know she loves ham but her bread was dry as toast! Her jelly was way too sweet and the donut didn't taste like a donut. Her milkshake was lovely though. Staff were very pleasant and all told, my mum got a couple of hours out with her girls!
I wouldn't be in a rush to go there again though - Sorry.

Great hotel/function rooms lovely spacious rooms good food very friendly and helpful staff. We didn't have time to explore the gardens plus it was snowing. No hesitation in giving this 5 stars.

Afternoon tea at orsett hall. Superb location and afternoon tea. We had a half day in the spa. The treatment was great but the spa was very small, although still nice.

The afternoon teas are quite special in the delightful garden room. The customer service has always been excellent.

Food ordinary at best, and service very slow. It was meant to be a special occasion, as we were married there 25 years ago, but it was a massive disappointment.

Bloody awesome! Heard mixed reviews about this place. Went there for a full day, one of our friends got married. Top drawer, clean, friendly, nice food. Couldn't fault it on our experience.

Professional from start to finish. I booked the gold room for my father's funeral memorial and the Events team were great. The food was fresh and the prices were very good. I would recommend this place for any important event you have in mind.

Bad, really bad. Had a full refund without quibble. There was a large Asian wedding on, I think the best chefs did that and we had the kitchen porter cooking for us.

Was lovely the tea room was beautiful. The cakes, sandwiches was really filling. The spa was lovely pool, juczzi, and the massage went too quickly. Definitely would go again my first time going to a spa.

Went to a beautiful wedding here last week. The hotel rooms were gorgeous and all staff were friendly & helpful. The actual grounds are also very picturesque especially at this time of year! There was even an onsite florist open in the day.

Lovely little venue out in essex. Nice crowd of people plenty off parking nice and clean wash room facilities nice people to be with. Easy to find off the A13 ish now i can stop feet licking and get on with it haha

Outside, the first impression is not bad. There is no hairdryer in the room. The towels are gray.
The food in the restaurant was not pleasant. We were surprised in the menu with Kiev cutlets. But when they saw it, it is Anything, but not them.
The bed is comfortable. That's all.

Being local,I have attended Orsett Hall a number of times for events and meals I have always felt that the service was excellent and that the standard of facilities is great. I am also a member of the gym which although it is compact has all the essentials and is always clean and well maintained.

Under staffed, tables outside still hadn't been cleared from breakfast at the start of lunch. Coffee machine was broken, offerd a coffee from the cafe bar which took 20mins to arrive.

Went to my cousins wedding here a couple of years ago and the building and grounds are amazing! Lovely setting and good service. I even considered getting married here myself. The staff waited on us all afternoon and served really good quality food. Buffet was great too! There was also a bar to the side of the room with fairly priced drinks.

I went for afternoon tea for a friend's birthday. There was a great selection of tea, and the staff were attentive without being intrusive. The food was lovely, really high quality and the vegan choices were impressive. The scones tasted fresh and home made and if I were to make a criticism it would be that the heavenly chocolate muffins had a little too much icing, and that the cream seemed to be whipped double cream rather than clotted, but it didn't detract from the experience at all. We ate in The Garden restaurant and the setting is beautiful. I highly recommend The Orsett Hall Hotel.

Attended an evening function received by friendly staff and reasonably priced bar very nice time.

Interesting classic place focused primarily on weddings. Friendly service and a beautiful garden make it really possible to relax here. I can not understand the toast distribution methods, why can not they be served with scrambled eggs? One day we did not get any toast which we ordered, obviously something is not here. Omelets are also worth to improve the one I got was crunchy and not what I expected.

Got married there fantastic place great staff and a very good value for money shame they don't do Sunday lunch all the time
