We attended a wedding and christening reception and the staff were brilliant the food was amazing and the whole place is just lovely. We had great weather so that made it all the better. Really great night.

Second stay here both times as wedding guests. The venue is ok with nice grounds. Rooms look nice but are not set up for a great sleep. The green emergency light is intrusive and cutains in some room do not block the morning sun. Food is uninspiring and banqueting team appears to include seasonal or agency staff who are not trained particularly well. In conclusion not a place we would choose to stay ourselves.

We had afternoon tea at the hotel as part of a package at the Kakuna spa. It was a beautiful place and the food was great.

Breakfast and afternoon tea here is great. Only downside is that the rooms have quite thin walls.

This place is a a nice location, yet is quite convenient to get to. Just the sort of place to go for afternoon tea. They have opened a new sport complex recently and it is really good. The are rooms available but I can't comment on those.

Nice setting with friendly staff but be aware that it is a very lively hotel with several functions happening at the same time.I would advise anybody not attending a function to request a room at the rere of the hotel which are in an annex .This was much quieter than the main part of the hotel Breakfast buffet was fine.
I will not be going again i when with a cross the room . No where to sit and when I did they told me to move. All in all a pretty bad experience. And for god sake don't do the dance card as the woman will just say no as they are to great to botherd with all that. And i only got half a dinner as they eat all the vegetable and give me the empty plat to put on the table for them must have been the wayter.
Went to Orsett Hall for a special afternoon tea! Was my parents 65th Wedding Anniversary The food was amazing and staff very attentive to my parents. Savoury tea was very good and ideal for my diabetic mum. All in all a lovely venue for this special family time. Thanks Orsett for making it all so good. Special unexpected added extra of chocolate cake for my parents too.

Went here for dinner for my husbands 50th tonight, just the 2 of us.
The staff were lovely, my husband is always cold, when mentioned to the waitress she said she would turn the air conditioning down for him ( brownie points) he would have been majorly miserable throughout if he'd stayed cold.
Then when we asked for the bill a lovely waitress called Dana came over and presented him a plate with "happy 50th birthday' hand written in chocolate with a little cake treat on the side.. she then proceeded to tell my husband he didnt look 50 and made his whole year ! :)

Been here a few times for functions. Always disappointed with the food, not sure whether this is because it is mass produced for our functions. Overall expensive and not that fancy!
Good quality food in beautiful setting, drinks serving at functions could be improved by waiter rather than self service.

Large corporate event. Service just what you'd expect. Food was great but my stuffed chicken still had the end of the piping bag inside it- completely accidental and not a problem as they dealt with it really well but it just took the shine off a little.
Attended a baby shower in the garden bar restaurant and it was lovely, staff were very attentive and food was fantastic.
Recent stay in a accesable room was brilliant. Shower room with seat and grab rails had room to manouvre. Good access for wheelchairs. Good comfortable bed.
Staff very polite and willing to help just that bit extra.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Trying desparately to get a refund for a cancelled afternoon tea. Cancelled nearly three weeks ago and despite asking when this will be sorted no clear info received. Not inpressed and would appreciate an urgent refund as it is for a lot of money. I know businesses are struggling but this is no way to ensure customers return - loathe to rebook to be honest.
Used to live in Orsett, had a works Xmas dinner there some years ago. Went back with friends this August & enjoyed everything about it. We had Coffee with a jam & cream scone in the lounge. Thank you

Can't really say much as was only there for a speedway talk forum which lasted two hours. Seemed to have a nice bar in the room we were in. Didn't use it as i was driving. Reception staff were very helpful.

Afternoon tea. Pleasant surroundings, polite staff and good selection of teas, there is also coffee if you like. The sandwiches and cakes where fresh and tasty.
