I went for afternoon tea for a friend's birthday. There was a great selection of tea, and the staff were attentive without being intrusive. The food was lovely, really high quality and the vegan choices were impressive. The scones tasted fresh and home made and if I were to make a criticism it would be that the heavenly chocolate muffins had a little too much icing, and that the cream seemed to be whipped double cream rather than clotted, but it didn't detract from the experience at all. We ate in The Garden restaurant and the setting is beautiful. I highly recommend The Orsett Hall Hotel.
