Stayed thrice, wonderful experience, looking forward to visit again and again.
A historical place must be depicted and presented to the people to know part of the civilization of this country
One of my favorite Marriotts!! They even prepared a cake for me for my birthday! The main building is so beautiful and historic. The pool, gym, and garden area are also nice to hang out at, service is great. Prices (pick up from airport, food, drinks, etc) are definitely inflated (around 10x prices outside the hotel).
Nice hotel in all respects and strategically located

Marriott Hotel / Zamalek - Cairo.
One of the historic hotels in Cairo, it is a large five-star hotel located in the Zamalek area on the island of the Nile, and this hotel was originally known as the Gezira Palace
Built by Khedive Ismail in 1869 to be the official residence for the guests of the celebrations of the opening of the Suez Canal, especially the guest of honor, Empress Eugenie, wife of Emperor Napoleon III, and the most luxurious decorations and accessories that can be obtained from Paris and Berlin were brought at that time. That cost three quarters of a million pounds.
In 1879 the palace was sold to the Egyptian Hotel Company to pay part of the debts of Khedive Ismail and it was converted into the Gezira Palace Hotel, and after the collapse of the tourist movement in Egypt during the First World War, the owner company decided to sell the palace in 1919 to one of the Lebanese princes who converted it into a private residence.
In 1962, the palace was nationalized and transformed again into a hotel in the name of the Omar Khayyam Hotel, then in the early 1970s the Marriott International Company took over the management of the Marriott Hotel, so the palace and gardens were restored with the construction of two towers on either side to include 1250 luxurious rooms and suites while retaining the original palace as a reception, restaurants, meeting rooms and lounges Celebrations, and the hotel opened in 1982
The hotel consists of three buildings, the first building is the palace building, which consists of 5 floors with hotel halls, restaurants, shopping stores, the main hall and reception, the second building is the Zamalek Tower building, and the third is the Island Tower, and between these buildings there is the swimming pool, restaurants and the club,
As for the gardens, they are located on an area of six acres, and the hotel's towers rise 20 floors.

Awesome hotel, everyone was very friendly and it was easy to get around. Great facilities and location! Only bad thing was their guest services person didn't speak English and didn't know anything about the sites in CairoCairo.
Awful food... Awful service... And extremely expensive. Not worth going
Egyptian lime fresh juice with Fresh mint, delicious !!!
The quality is there.
Value for money a bit expensive compared to the cost of local living but for Europeans, it is quite affordable.
The truth is worthy of five stars expensive on the non - ground flooring old and Madhokh the most beautiful view of the Nile treat the workers in the coffee shop beside the swimming pool Shui harsh imposed on them have a second hand in the cafe says Mafia waiting for you, O you ...
Beautiful hotel with great pool, spa and food options. For the price though, I thought the service could have been better. Staff could be a little more friendly and attentive to get the 5th star. Best place to stay in Cairo for the price though
Beautiful place and beautiful view of the Zamalek Tower on the pool and garden
Really good hotel with excellent service. The lounge was good and had a lot different food and soft drinks
We stayed at the Cairo Marriott Hotel on our first and second days of visiting Cairo. We were extremely happy with the service and the central location made it convenient for us to look around the city. We were extremely pleased with Marriott's management of the Cairo Marriott Hotel and Marriott Mena House, and highly recommend them.
A beautiful, varied hotel, in which you can find everything you desire, and it is an enriching place as well
This hotel houses the Palace built to house the Empress Eugenie on the occasion of the opening of the Suez Canal to navigation.
