Disastrous experience. Service zero stars.

Disastrous experience. Service zero stars.
Yes, the location is stunning.
We waited 58 minutes to receive room key (evening, no other guests were checking in). A confused clerk (Fernando) could get a gold medal if there were Olympics in bad service.
Strong shoe polish stink near elevator.
Restaurant refused to serve a dinner at 9, despite website saying it is open until 10:30. (We chose this hotel based on late dinner availability). We went to bed without dinner.
The entire resort needs refreshing, although room was clean and bed ok.

In the morning, back to confusion.
At 6 30 we arrived for breakfast. No buffet, a la carte only. Despite asking in Spanish about the price for breakfast we were told 17, 22 and in the end 40 dollars per person. The restaurant staff wasn't sure.
The only efficient staff was Yohana in reception.
At 6:50 we have up and left without breakfast because at 7 am we had Gatun Lake Tour.
Would never book again.

The location is spectacular, the customer service is terrible, needs general maintenance there are areas very deteriorated. The food options are poor and very expensive. It rescues the beauty of the landscape and the tranquility in the pool area.

Great for a Sunday brunch. A visit to the lake by boat is recommended. You can admire different species of monkeys typical of this area and, if you are lucky, you can meet some alligators

Can only concur with the others here. Hotel has certainly seen better days, service is poor. There is no tranquillity sound of the rain forest due to construction work, which is loud and disturbing and defeats the purpose of coming to a hotel in a rain forrest.

Good hotel in nice surroundings. Rooms are large and quite good but have nothing to do with European standards. All inclusive I would not book is too expensive. If you arrive by car, you should bring enough drinks with you as there are no real shops nearby. There is a fridge in the room and an ice machine in the hallway. Wifi is great. Balcony is huge. Definitely book a very spectacular view with river view. The food is good sometimes not so good there is no other restaurant nearby that is open in the evening.

Great hotel in the rainforest. We paid for the family package that included airport transportation and a few excursions. You will want to do excursions so you might as well get a package. Buffet meals were great.

We always go to Sunday brunch but on July 13 we went with a foreign family and the food was terrible. Without variety. Very bad. It looked like diner food. Of three dollars. Only good attention but very bad food. Lousy

Relaxing and beautiful views, but the amenities and grounds need upkeep. There is no 24h restaurant, our AC was damaged, and the animal exhibitions are closed on Mondays, fact which is not stated on their site. Keep this in mind when making your reservation.

This place is magic! It's like being in Tim Burton's tale with a touch of "Hogwarts" and a hint of "Jurassic Park". Our room is large and has a large balcony with a hammock from which we swing to the sounds of strange cries of birds with a breathtaking view of the Rain Forest on the edge of the Rio Chagres. We could admire from our balcony a flight of green parrots, Touquans and a lot of small rodents. A true delight. In addition to these moments of grace. The restaurant is worthy of a great chef and the staff very helpful and always smiling especially Patricio who speaks French perfectly and who has always been good advice. What happiness!

Beautiful old world elegance in the jungle. If you need to slow down this is the place.
Food is good. But the joy is standing on your balcony overlooking a picture perfect vista with birds and animals at fingers length away.

Excellent location and excellent hotel. Staff very kind, rooms very big and clean, beds large and comfortable. Prices on the bars and restaurants on the high side but it's understandable. Spend 2 or 3 days and you won't regret. Also rent a car, it will be useful.

I loved!

A place to spend as a family, to relax and share with nature. All good, only the girl who attended us when we arrived did not guide us about all the benefits that included our stay. And we missed some things because of ignorance.

The place is not bad, the problem they have is the lack of maintenance that is noted throughout the building, rooms, green areas, structures, restaurants, the staff is very attentive but maybe not enough, if you're past the hour of the meals you find dirty floors and tables, the buffet is decent, but you have to be calling and wait for those who serve you water or drinks

5 star setting 0 star front desk and restaurant staff. The critical reviews are accurate, as well as those regarding some good aspects. What I can t comprehend is how the reception and waitstaff can be so apathetic. Panama City is not at all similar. Maybe the heat, or hanging around the sloths. This is the only game in the central canal/rainforest area. Just don t take the poor service personally, I simply say to myself f##k em. It s OK, compared to the rest of the jungle experiences I ve had around the world.

The hotel is very nice, with a very nice view, it looks all green, good care, excellent hotel.
But your staff is rude, you arrive and do not find your reservation, you have to look for it, the activities are canceled, there is not every day, but they do not warn you in advance even if they include you and they only tell you to come back another day.
You ask for other activities and they tell you to arrive at that time but they do not point at you at all and if it is canceled they do not tell you anything.
The food is not bad or good but if expensive, the price does not correspond to the quality of the food.
They do not have a good balance with the guests, as place is very nice as hotel is very lacking.
