My wife and I called ahead as we were interested in a specific car. We were told that the car would be ready by the time we get there, just ask for Timmy (sales manager). I was pleasantly surprised. When we got there it turns out that the car was still in an adjacent lot, I guess I set my expectations too high. We were sat down in a salesman's office asked a few questions after which he went to get the car. We saw him waking back and forth in the show room, he came back in about 15 minutes and asked why we wanted a hybrid. It took almost an hour from the time we sat down to test drive a car. I right away pointed out that the car in front of us was not the trim we were asking for, it's $7K more expensive! Since we had spent almost an hour waiting we agreed to test drive it anyway. After the test drive we finally met Timmy (think stereotypical car salesman) who tried talking us out of a hybrid. After almost three hours we walked out as Timmy was too busy taking new customers to give us an appraisal value.

Long Story short we spend close to 3 hours waiting around unnecessarily. We purchased our car from another dealer the following day, it took 2 hours with a test drive, trade-in appraisal and financing and we drove away in our new car!

This is a third new car I have purchased and VW gallery was by far THE WORST dealer experience!

We test drove a BMW m550i. It was $80,000 and we sat down with the salesman to negotiate. He informed us that the car was sold earlier in the morning but we could order one and have it in 8-10 weeks. If I just purchased an $80,000 car from a dealership the last thing I would expect is that they would be allowing people to test drive it I was appalled. Not a dealership I will be doing business with ever!

I was charged a $149 diagnosis fee, for a CCC drive that I already knew was bad. They told me I needed to replace it. But couldn't tell what was actually wrong. I showed them a service bulletin for which I came in for with the exact problem. Still charged me the fee, when I left with no more information. They stated it was going to take 3 hours, and I had the car back the next day. I got charged for essentially nothing.

Great

Helping my mom get her first BMW, we had a fantastic experience at BMW of Norwood. Sokol was the best salesman we've ever worked with, hands down. I also use Audi of Westwood which is also a Prime dealership, and I can't say enough good things about them. Also I can't forget to mention Heather on the finance team- once again had a great interaction and experience; she was a pro.

Polite. Willing to help on calling 3rd party insurance. Have acceptable waiting room include some electric outlet. In my experience, they don't overcharge, didn't fake out the need of a repair. Last time they didn't trick me to replace a part for just a loose cable connection. But other dealer did, luckily I didn't rush and fell into the trap.

Had to bring my 17-year-old son's 2003 BMW in for an airbag recall. Trying to make sure my son's 1st car is as safe as I can get for him. Stood in service area for several minutes before any of the 5+ people working acknowledged us (we were the only customers in the room). One worker said something to the effect of, "I'd be DTF that" to a coworker. This apparently means something to young people because my son remarked that he couldn't believe a service representative would say something like that in a professional workplace.
Fast forward to the next day, when I receive a service recommendation of over $1,000 - $150 to look at an oil light that comes on for about 10 seconds upon start-up because my son forgot to reset after changing the oil (took him less than 5 min to fix for free) & $990 to replace shocks my son just replaced! I declined.
Fast forward an hour to picking up the car... the fans in the car (the ones that give you heat, a/c, & defrost) are not working AT ALL! I had the A/C blasting on my way to drop the car off, and suddenly, after the dash was taken apart to replace the passenger airbag, the fan is completely broken! What a coincidence. I bring the car back. They act like I'm lying to them about the fan & tell me it will cost $500 to fix. I wonder if this would have happened if I had agreed to be the recommended services.
Prime Autogroup will NEVER see any business from me or anyone I can get to listen to my experience.
Here's a little more from our first and only experience with Prime Autogroup:
My son and I walked around the showroom for a few minutes while waiting for them to check the car in during our first visit. No one came to even say hello, but there was a salesperson shopping online for clothing.
The ONLY positive - the people who check you in in the drive-in garage were pleasant, professional, and courteous, including opening & holding the door for me.
