There is plenty to do. Nice and helpful staff. Very interesting and informative. Always something to look forward to at different times of the day. 3 levels of intriguing punishments to learn about. There is also a discount if you go here and the Nottingham City of Caves. Food and drink is also available there.

Courtroom and hanging shows were interesting and worth going to both happen about 4 times a day at set times which they telp you on arrival. Staff are amazing and always in character, adding to the experience and they have clearly spent a long time learning everything about the museum and the history behind it

I came here 20 years ago and enjoyed it so much that I decided to revisit this place 20 years later. Still as entertaining as ever. Good acting and presentation by the sheriff, gaoler and matron.

Fantastic place to visit. I wasn't that excited to go but my wife wanted too and I'm glad we did. Very informative museum about the history of the prison system based inside a former prison, mostly about from 1700 too 1860. Lots too learn. The actors playing characters from the period who will tell you lots of information and show you points of interest you may of missed are brilliant, definitely worth a visit.

"Nottingham Natural History Museum"
Batman Prequel 3 was filmed here.
The museum is erected in the center of the park, very generous. A dreamlike castle surrounded by grassland
The museum is very beautiful, you can see gorgeous decoration and many rare and exotic animals.
.
"Wollaton Hall, Gardens and Deer Park"
Great place, the vast grassland can run and picnic as much as you want
Attention should be paid to the picnic here
There will be wild deer
And there are a large group of leisurely shopping here
I can only say it's super cute
Wollaton Hall is oversized, walking around the periphery will make your legs soft
Coconut walked for two hours and it was less than half of the shopping .

A fantastic place to visit with lots to see and experience for the whole family.

I absolutely loved the witch trial and the hanging. The character actors really made the whole experience for me. The events were well thought out and acted brilliantly.

An amazing experience. I took my 7 year old nephew who loved the history, the acting and the actuality of everything around him being real. It's a great experience. The actors are fantastic who deliver the history AND are able to answer and play along with impromptu questions from an inquisitive 7 year old. A great experience, well worth the money and the place itself with the real history is terrifying when you actually envisage yourself in doing what actually happened. Ie, Imagine, you're in a cell where people were actually eventually executed - it's macabre but fun and extremely educational - I can not reccommend this place enough.

We did this on a joint ticket with the caves.

We did this on a joint ticket with the caves.
This was really interesting. There is a great mix of justice through out the centuries. There are cells to go in; just be careful coming out of the dark cell, I banged my head on the very hard stone doorframe coming out.
There were two live performances, a hanging and a witch trial.

Really enjoyed my trip to the National Justice Museum. There was quite actually a lot to see all about crime and punishment and I spent three hours there in total. I thought the actors in costume were really good, especially the girl playing the witch/prisoner - she was really funny. The mock witch trial and the public hanging were really entertaining.

About Galleries of Justice

Galleries of Justice: Discover the Fascinating History of Crime and Punishment

Are you a history buff looking for an immersive experience that takes you back in time? Do you have a fascination with crime and punishment, and want to learn more about how justice was served in the past? Look no further than Galleries of Justice, a unique attraction located in Nottingham that offers visitors an unforgettable journey through the history of law enforcement.

At Galleries of Justice, visitors can explore two distinct attractions: The National Justice Museum and the City of Caves. The National Justice Museum is housed within Nottingham's historic courthouse and gaol, which dates back to 1375. Here, visitors can step inside real courtrooms where trials were held centuries ago, see original prison cells where inmates were once held captive, and even take part in interactive exhibits that bring the past to life.

The City of Caves is another must-see attraction at Galleries of Justice. This underground network of sandstone caves dates back to medieval times when they were used as tanneries. Later on, they became air raid shelters during World War II before being rediscovered in the 1970s. Today, visitors can explore these fascinating caves on guided tours that take them through narrow passageways and reveal hidden chambers filled with historical artifacts.

But what sets Galleries of Justice apart from other historical attractions is its commitment to providing an immersive experience for visitors. From costumed actors who bring historical characters to life to interactive exhibits that allow visitors to try their hand at being judge or jury, every aspect has been designed with authenticity in mind.

Whether you're interested in learning about famous criminals like Robin Hood or exploring how justice was served throughout history - from medieval times right up until modern day - there's something for everyone at Galleries of Justice.

But don't just take our word for it - this unique attraction has received rave reviews from both locals and tourists alike. Visitors praise its engaging exhibits, knowledgeable staff members who are passionate about sharing their knowledge with others; as well as its convenient location right in the heart of Nottingham's city center.

So why not plan your visit today? Whether you're traveling solo or bringing along family or friends; whether you're a seasoned history buff or simply curious about what life was like centuries ago; there's no better way to discover Nottingham's rich cultural heritage than by visiting Galleries Of Justice!
