Worst service in a restaurant I have ever had. Cook and I m not sure he qualifies as a cook. Extremely rude, overcooked seafood till it s rubber. Asked 3 times to get drinks refilled for table, never were refilled. For 42 dollars a plate I would expect soda and water glasses to be filled. I would not recommend this place!

Delicious!! We went on Valentines evening and shared a table with several other families/couples who were anticipating our chef cooking tasty food... needless to say it was fun, engaging and our bellies were happily full!

It doesn't matter if you make reservations, if it's not a big enough party to fill a whole table you will end up waiting. The cook we had was really funny and a great showman. The food was perfectly cooked, we had chicken, steak, shrimp and the lobster, which was not really fishy. Had one of the house mixed drinks which I would say was blah, stick with beer or wine. Would return.

The food is always amazing but... They were understaffed and turned people away because of it. And the place is really run down and has some maintenance items that need taken care of. It needs a lot of cleaning and a lot of work because of lack of cleaning. The service is great, the chefs are awesome, and the food is delicious... but their run down surroundings and lack of employees resulting in longer wait times sour the whole experience.

Food and entertainment has gone downhill in this place. The floors had food on them around our table. My son also threw up after eating here. Was good 2 years ago but now I won't return.

IF I COULD GIVE A NEGATIVE I WOULD! After reading the reviews I was on the fence to go. But I wanted to give it a chance. HORRIBLE. First off they barely speak when you come in the store, they have the table super full to where on the corner me and another lady was extremely close. We barely had gotten a chance to look over the menu and felt super rushed, the waiter didn't even allow us to ask questions. He brought out HOT soup and was spilling it!! The cook came out the same time our salads did, the salad was horrible! The cook was calling out our orders and said the wrong thing for the couple next to us and they corrected it. The amount of rice we received was NOT WORTH THE MONEY! It was literally the size of my hand. He gave everyone shrimp and skipped us even though we ordered shrimp and chicken(and when he first started he read us what we were getting so there's no excuse), at this point I was super annoyed and told the waiter he said he was going to get more shrimp at that moment I said just get enough for my wife. WE NEVER GOT A DRINK REFILL THE ENTIRE TIME AND OUR CUPS WERE EMPTY WHILE EATING!! My bill was wrong and he seemed bothered by it, but i was not paying for 2 chicken and shrimp dinners that we didn't get especially with the price we were paying. He brought back a new bill and you guessed it STILL WRONG! Some of the people got ice cream and when speaking with the lady next to me she said she didn't want to add fuel to the fire but we were suppose to get free ice cream and were never offered! Customer service was an all time 0 in my book! The shrimp sauce barely had flavor. They are more concerned with getting as many people seated to get more money vs. customer service.

We are from the south and recently moved here, the Japanese steakhouses back home are WAY better and you get WAY more for the same price. This place is ridiculous especially with portions and pricing.

My husband I went there for my birthday on the 11th of September, it was OK and we spent $50 on the both of us. I checked my bank account two days later and someone charged me again the same exact amount the next day. So easy fix right? No I called and the girl told me they would take care of it. No no one even called me back. Called again talked to the manager, once again she said she knew about it but couldn't find me or my husband from those days.... So now my bank is gonna deal with this. Would not go here again and would not suggest it. Great wait staff, terrible and irresponsible management.

I wish it was possible to leave zero stars. Put in a take out order for multiple meals. I was looking forward to my meal as I am a regular customer and have been for years. When I got home and opened my food I was shocked and disappointed. The portions were extremely small compared to what I normally receive. Literally had 5 pieces of chicken and 4 of steak. The steak was not cooked to order at all. The rice was soggy. To make it worse, another person I was with had a long dark hair in her salad. We called to see what they could do for us, considering we spent over 80 dollars on a less than mediocre order. The manager was extremely rude, told us we could not have our food reordered simply because we found a hair . And offered us a free salad and 15 percent off our next meal. She raised her voice and hung up the phone when we didn t agree to her offer. Terrible terrible service. Thy have really gone down hill this past year.

Friendly service..entertainment was awesome.. food was good. Not spectacular but not bad.

usually i would put excellent for food but the guy who cooked our food this time was drinking and I don't mean water.... the veggies were burnt and the chicken was undercooked therefore the only thing we could eat was the rice. NORMALLY this place is great but watch out for the older cook here.....

I went there with my daughter, right after they opened today, and the food was AWESOME!!! The show, our chef put on, made it even better!!!

The food is good, and we love the cooks! Some are very good at entertaining and what not, some kinda take short cuts with the jokes or what they do to make dinner more fun, but they are also super fun to talk to. The biggest complaint we have had so far is that if you order steamed rice, you tend to be forgotten. One two separate visits, one in August of this year and one last weekend, members of my family ordered steamed rice, and the cook we almost done and there was still no rice. They got it to us when we ask, no problem, but they are usually better with that.

The place is fun with the cooks, ill admit, but it's soooo dirty. It stinks as well, like someone's dirty , never cleaned home. I pulled the 2017 health inspection on it and it had many red and blue violations. Check it out before you go.

Son's 21st Birthday - great time, great chef, nice people that showed up randomly, good humor, great food, good service... Reasonably priced for special occasions, but I'd do it again next month just for fun...

I had a really good time and I am not sure if it was just our guy or our group but the cook didn't seem to put on the greatest show. I did take a minute to look around and it seemed like it was consistent with our cook and not consistent with the other hibachi restaurants I have been to. However I would go again

Amazing. My children had fun, the steak was melt in your mouth, the waitress was like a ninja and new drinks would just appear as soon as the old one was low.

Just found out about the happy hour here...we will be back!

No stars would be a better option for Fujiyama! We just wanted a nice family dinner. We took our party of nine at 12:30 on a Sunday when they opened and after being seated it was all downhill from there. The waiter was awful and didn't really care to get it right. Our chef was alright but half our kids ordered the tempura and waited over and hour while our food was already served and when they finally received their tempura vegetables they were actually cold ... Not sure how deep fried vegetables that were just served can be cold!! When we expressed our discontent over the ridiculously long wait for the tempura meals the waiter went to get the manager. She came out and said "I comp one meal" slammed down the bill and stormed off while my husband was still talking. Rude beyond belief!! My husband attempted to speak with her one last time and she repeatedly said "I don't care, I don't care"!! Well needless to say they've lost our family's business for good unless the management changes!! The manager was just a rude and thoughtless woman that clearly doesn't want to be in the restaurant business!! Customer service was by far the worst I've ever encountered!! I highly recommend skipping a family meal at Fujiyama's and going straight to maybe McDonald's or Burger King... You'd most definitely get better customer service and hot food at those establishments.

Horrible customer service. Would give 0 stars if I could. Not sure what the food tastes like since my kids and I left before getting food. I never post reviews, but this place needed one. Going to find one in Lacey or Tacoma next time.

went to have dinner tonight. The chef at our table was Hon and he was absolutely terrible. The vegetables were not cooked and the fried rice still had clumps of white rice not cooked or seasoned. It was the worse I have ever had there. I told the manager and she said sorry and that was it. We ordered the combination dinner and left without eating the ice cream. It was terrible tonight.

Fujiyama is a hibachi restaurant located in Olympia, WA. They seat you down around the hibachi, this Japanese steak house is a wonderful place to celebrate memorable times. The chefs cook your meal in front you , I recommend the surf n turf . Chefs provide a mini show full of cooking tricks. The onion volcano is personally my favorite . This place is friendly and awesome player to bring family and friends kids will have a blast! There is a private bar for 21+ which is located in front right when you walk in, the drinks are great. Bathrooms are clean and private And have a baby changing station. Restaurant staff is friendly, although servers forget to refill your soft drinks a lot. Overall this place have amazing tasting food and well worth a try.

It was good, tasted great. A little expensive for what we got. Our chef was a good cook but wasn't very entertaining. The group next to us had a chef that really seemed to be enjoying his time and so did the guests.

Last night, Dec. 8, 2015, was our first ever visit to your establishment. It was our grandson's eighth birthday. He had such a good time watching his grandpa's reactions. It was amazing. The food was delicious. Fried rice was the best we have ever tasted. I am sorry we waited so long to try your food. Totally entertaining as well. We will be back that is for sure.

Their tempura was simply deep fried without tempura batter. The miso soup was way too salty. But the chef was entertaining with flames and food acrobatics and saying funny things, and he made delicious food.

Good food. Love the steak and Shrimp. The wait times can be a little tedious otherwise it s a fun place to visit. It s and interactive dinner the chef talks and jokes with you while cooking meal. Some kids are scared of the fire on the grill. The atmosphere is noisy when very busy.

Amazing food. Have been several times now. A little spendy but so worth it. Service is beyond amazing. Extremely quick and the always a good show watching our food being cooked. Absolutely recommend.

When we arrived, we watched customer after customer try to enter and exit the broken front door. Food was ok but not great. The biggest advantage this restaurant has is the exoerience. Our experience was a Cook/Chef who spent the entire time talking to a group of single young men about a "hot" woman that worked there. He totally ignored our group. Cook/Chef talked sturnly to me when he started dumping some sort of sauce on my rice and I told him I didn't want it quick enough. We had a friend who took us here as a treat. I wouldn't go back there on my own.

This place is way overpriced for dinner, although the fried rice is amazing! The happy hour here is the best in town! $2.50 well drinks and amazingly cheap happy hour food! Our favorite happy hour spot!

The food was good but apparently their chefs drink on the clock. Guy flipped his little spatula and knocked over my girlfriends drink and got her completely soaked. Then said sorry too much sake. And no one thought to compensate us. Just rude while everyone was laughing.

Visited last night for my daughters birthday and let the hostess know it was her birthday and wanted them to sing to her and we sat with another family who also had a birthday. Well the other birthday girl was celebrated but not ours. Very disappointing for my daughter.

Our family's favorite restaurant! The food is always AMAZING and the experience is always fun. The yum yum sauce is a must. There's no place we'd rather go!! If I could give it 10 stars, I would!

The psychopath lunatic Hibachi Chef that you mention no longer works here. He got fired. His jokes were bad, he is actually brain damaged. The chefs we have now are pretty cool. Come on back!

The food was excellent! Our chef was entertaining and the staff did a great job.

While the rumors that they're understaffed may be true; with a little added patience while waiting for your seat, you will have the best time at this restaurant. The servers are quick, attentive, and warm. The chefs are entertaining and experts at what they do. The ribeye steak was magnificent, and they gave us so much that I get to have delicious left overs in the morning. My wife and I will definitely be coming back!

Supposed to be 6ft away from others can't do that if you have to go into their restaurant to pick up your order. They have 1/2 the door open for people to come in and out of. They make you come in to pick up your order. Their waiting area is small and everyone is sitting in chairs waiting for their orders. There is no way this place is practicing social distancing.

There staff tonight was rude and passing by when people were out front.

Private learning is the best if you're just trying to make a couple's date special. But if you don't mind being with a bunch of strangers the shallows always nice
