Made a reservation 3 hours prior and showed up 5 minutes early for said reservation only to get told I didn t have a reservation and that there was nothing they could do for me except to wait for who knows how long for the next table. So much for customer service! Booo
So disappointed we have eaten here plenty of times and this time was just horrible! The chef burnt the FRIED RICE! It had a burnt taste as well as the rest of the food. I ordered steak and he cut the pieces into various sizes that they all cooked different the larger pieces were purple and I couldn t chew them so I asked for a knife and he literally took my piece and cut it and joked he would never make that mistake again. When he saw me struggling with another piece he said u want me to cut that too? Needless to say I didn t eat anything. The chicken I ordered for my children was over cooked and dry. If that wasn t enough I have never experienced a CHEF MAKING A TO GO PLATE WITH THE TABLES PORTIONED FOOD!!! Yes he had a to go plate that he was serving himself the burnt rice and shrimp he even counted my daughters shrimp before putting on her plate and the rest he gave to himself. You spend a lot of money here especially with a family of 6 so I was disappointed to have all that food go to waste!
Delicious benihana type restaurant with proper social distancing in place. Delicious food, excellent wait staff, family friendly.. and definitely worthy of a visit!
Dinner was great. Our chef wasn't very talkative though. He did the normal volcano and throwing the meat to see if we were able to catch it, just a little too quiet for me.
Great melody of vegetables. The New York steak was seasoned perfectly and our chef was spectacular! Celebrating birthdays are a hoot!! Even though we are from Seattle we will return!
Fun experience for the family. Cooks and waiters are helpful and friendly. Great selection on the menu. People seem to avoid going here based on price but when you consider the service and amount of food provided, this is a great place to go. We plan to continue going here when friends and family are in town.
I took my 7 year old whom is obsessed with Japanese culture and he absolutely loved the place! He was enthralled the whole time and I loved watching it! We had never gone to a hibachi place and didn't know what to expect but as I'm still sitting here I'm already planning on our next trip.
Came in with my husband a few nights and were seated alongside a family with small children. We all ordered and waited for our chef. We were told at least twice by the hostess that the chef would be there momentarily. When the chef arrived, he did the usual grand opening, but focused solely on the family and their kids. When he started doing the toss with the broccoli, my husband made a joke about how he wanted a piece because our appetizer hadn't come yet. The chef acted all annoyed and continued to ignore us. Finally when we were getting served our food, we had order a Medium Rare filet mignon and scallops and a medium filet mignon with shrimp. We watched as two filets were cooked to well done and then chopped up and handed to the other family. The wife mentioned something to the husband and he shushed her. We waited, confused about why we hadn't received any of our food. As the chef was preparing to leave, my husband asked him about our steaks. The chef realized his mistake and told us that he had accidentally given it to the family.....well obviously. We called over the hostess and explained the situation. She apologized and had us wait while the kitchen made our order. Then when it came time for the bill, we had been charged for two meals each. I went back to the hostess and told here that we are only paying for one meal each because we were only given one meal each. She argued with me that we HAD to pay for them because we ordered them. I told her to either watch the cameras or talk to the chef because he had given the other family our steaks and we weren't paying for anything we hadn't received. After almost 30 mins of this, they finally corrected our bill and admitted it was their mistake. My husband asked if there was at least a discount they could give us for all the trouble. She actually had the audacity to say no because they "gave [us] two free meals." I was exhausted and just paid the bill and we left. Then we got home and realized they gave us one steak and shrimp and then a chicken breast and veggies. I refuse to come back again. We just wanted a nice date night out and instead got a night of hassles.
A very unique and Excellent place with great ambience with a personalised chef service which makes it very attractive..Theres a great variety show that the chef puts up ad even shares his tricks of recipes..Real fresh yummy food made in front of you ..Big size portions..Its a restaurant ,bar and steakhouse...Dinner would be the best time or a weekend luncheon.
The chef wasn't very fun and then talked about his restaurant he was opening and how it would have cheaper food there. The waitress dumped her tray of drinks spilling some down my leg and didn't even apologise or anything. Second time I've been here and both were bad experiences.
This place was the worst. The chef was terrible and kept messing up to the point where he just stopped and was trying to cook normal. Threw an egg at me and it broke all over my drink. Chicken was undercooked as well. The chef then went to the table behind us for his next opportunity. Started out by catching an egg in his pocket and spent about 5 min trying to get it out after he broke it! This place is a joke! We will not go back.
Fujiyama is a staple of the family. Great place to celebrate a birthday or special occasion. The surf and turf -- lobster and fillet -- is awesome as is the chicken fried rice. Perfect spot for kids of all ages, too, as the chefs are entertainers.
Love this place! My grandson had a blast. Food is always good, and the chef's are amazing!! Perfect place to bring kids for an upscale dining experience, with a twist of entertainment!
Overpriced and overworked stuff make this a crowded and expensive experience. I almost feel bad for the 2* review because in the past with the right chief it can be a great experience but lately with overcrowding and poor organization I stand by the rating. The prices have also gone up so be prepared.
Service was great thx to our server, Dave. Our chef Robert gave us the full experience as first-time guests. He was very sociable and the food was plentiful and finger-licking good. I would recommend this to anyone and definitely return. =op
My husband and I have come here over and over throughout the years! We ve brought our parents and have celebrated birthdays. Every Hibatchi Chef we ve ever gotten has been so incredibly great (and we ve come here probably twice a month for 3 years)! The servers are always really nice and attentive and the food is phenomenal and I always have leftovers! Always a great experience and definutely a place we recommend! Thank you to everyone who is so kind when we come in. You guys are really great!
extremely terrible service, the manager treated my family horribly. the food was cold and i had to wait at least an hour for my meal then the manager stated that she did not care 3 times that we received horrible service. precious family time was taken away. will not return unless the staff changes, everyone had an attitude here. No stars would be the better choice for this establishment.
Always love going to this place! The chefs are awesome, and friendly. The staff here is friendly as well. If you or someone you're taking here has a bit of a fear of fire then I suggest you sit at a table and not the grill. The chefs put on a good show with fire and food.
I have Celiac disease which makes any gluten at all in my food make me incredibly sick. I was very worried about eating here since the last two Japanese steak houses I've eaten at who said they could do it gluten free, got me sick. The staff at Fujiyama were amazing and cooked all my food up in the back kitchen completely gluten free and it was indeed gluten free. 5 stars to these people. Will be back again.
The food was fantastic, and the customer service was the best, this is truly a wonderful place to have dinner and a show all in one place. I highly recommend Fujiama Japanese Steakhouse !!!
Great food and entertainment that completely depends on your chef and server. Not all are consistent with their seasoning of the food, so sometimes it can turn out bland. Thank goodness for their Yum-Yum sauce, which makes everything better!! Pretty spendy and would only visit on special occasions.
I will never be eating here again. The food is absurdly overpriced. The workers are clearly unhappy, that is managements fault. Upon leaving after picking up a to go order the bartender had the audacity to yell at me for not tipping enough. When I tried to reach a manager I was rudely left on hold for a very long time. Never again
Delicious food with fun and friendly service that the whole family enjoyed. Even when the cook tried the egg in the hat trick and missed, (inciting our 7 year old saying that "She was mot gonna clean that up!") he kept his smile and continued cooking and putting on a show. We loved the experience.
Manager made promise to hook us up because the waitress ruined my daughters birthday by making her feel so invisible because a boy had a birthday and got special treatment at the same table as us. Went back and the manager basically said I don't remember you.
When I arrived there was left over rice under the plate which I point out which I received a new plate. Along with others we felt seating 8 instead of 6 at the grill was tight. Actually cooking took 15 minutes to start. The chef was excellent!! Plenty of food given!! The credit card receipt holders were in disrepair. They should be newer for the amount of money you pay. They apologized being busy but it is not like the just opened up.
I love this place! I've been here a few times and have had excellent service each time. Drinks were always refilled frequently, food was AWESOME and the chefs were great. I even got my dinner free since it was my birthday. Definitely my favorite date night place.
the wait time can be irritating, even when reservations are made ahead of time. but the food is good. Service is pretty attentive once you get your food. Bring a jacket, it can get pretty cold.
Yaaassss!! Omgawwwd!! We had such a blast night!! If you can request "Chef Hans" to be your cook... do it. He is soooo funny, entertaining, and makes the dinner so much fun. The food was definitely on point last night. I honestly cant wait to go back and take my friends.
The chefs are great and I highly recommend the yum-yum sauce. You leave full!! Prices are pretty reasonable considering that you're getting a 4-5 course meal.
Having been here several times now, I can say that I really like it. It can be a bit packed one weekends, but the atmosphere and food is definitely worth it. We've only had one bad experience, and they went above and beyond to correct. I highly recommend it, one of my favorite restaurant s in the area along with Osaka.
The atmosphere is always amazing, the chefs are always entertaining and so personable. We love coming here and the food is ALWAYS amazing, leftovers the next day taste just as good.
This was the worst experience that I have had at a restaurant in life! I went on Friday Nov 1st with 5 other people to celebrate a birthday. The server was very nice and attentive but when the cook came out to cook our food in front of us, he began to spew out African American stereotypes in hopes to do what, I don't know! He called one of the members of the party Lebron James and asked if he was going to play basketball later. Then he started saying the "blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice." After these it was a blur of statements about black people drinking old English, Hennessy and smoking Kool menthol's........it was so bad that the Caucasian gentleman at the table with us, turned red and literally said after the guy left that he was embarrassed by the comments. This was reported to the manager and all she could say was that she would talk to him about it and we pushed the issue more saying that this should warrant some kind of discount on our meal because most of us were so upset, that we didn't even eat our meals. We will be taking this matter even further but I hope that no one ever has this experiece.
