My go to Frys location is this spot in Sunnyvale. They have the biggest selection, helpful floor staff and a very clean/well kept store.
Needed a cable for transferring data from camera to PC, as one of the staff members for assistance. He showed us options and walked out with something that was more useful that does the job.
Will be back for future needs...
Used to have a ton of products now they look so EMPTY.
Looks like they are going out of business not a lot of products
Fry's is always a great store to visit for electronics.
The store has various great Samsung TVs and soundbars.
It's nice to go pick up something you need now instead of waiting from Amazon, plus they'll price match most things online. Also great to see and experience before buying as well. I thought they would be outdated, but they have all modern gadgets you would expect them to have.
Everything and anything in the consumer electronics. Fry's now matches the Amazon prices, so get your Amazon app fired on your phone as you enter this place. Recently a wade of " as seen on TV" stuff has polluted the store, but..... Still a great place to buy a laptop or a TV. There is also a microcontroller enthusiast cornet that I visit each time for automation projects.
I visit this place mainly as an exhibition of what are they trying to sell. It is a big one which I recommend!
Clean organized and good selection. It's hard to find a better store for general electronics than Frys. The only competent stores like Central Computer are too small compared to Frys.
Looking for a gaming laptop and they actually had 2. Also had to buy a bag for it considering it is larger than 17" makes it harder to find. Found everything with out any issues.
Frys is Frys. Always has been. Problem is, they're losing ground to Amazon on pricing, and they'd have to change their customer service model to compensate.
Massive electronics store with everything you could possibly need.
Seem nice love that each store is themed you don't see that in box stores
Great Place to look for electronics. The staff is really helpful. I didn't know which router to pick. They helped me pick the perfect one and then recommended their services for xfinity which are working great for me. I have found some great deals at the store. The only annoying thing is that they let salesmen advertise at their front door. Most of the time I don't care, but one time they were persistent on selling me a monthly subscription with false advertising.
Great place to find [potato] chips next to Integrated Circuit [chips]. Hobbyist playground.
It looks like they are shutting down. Lots of aisles are half empty.
The best prices on electronics only when you catch the sales. Otherwise get a web price match.
Um.. It's OK. People are nice. Feels like a1980s department store.
Going out of business didn't have much of anything honestly
We bought 3 stainless steel hoses. We needed a coupon code for the sale price, we didn't have one, so the clerk used his. Told us to sign up online for codes to save on the future. I did, so now need to go back and save more, I guess. ....Big store, so much to see.
This place is always fun but for some reason it seemed like the shelves were empty and didnt have a lot of inventory in stock. Guy who helped me in computers components was very helpful everyone else seemed not to like the job.
A lot in stock but not really organized great place nice people
I purchased Psych The Complete Sixth Season last evening. Disk 1 did not play reliably, but disk 2 did, indicating that disk 1 was defective.
Their return / exchange policy on their website and the receipt states "Defective computer software, video games, audio CDs, DVD videos, and pre-recorded videos will be exchanged for the exact same item only."
I attempted to exchange the set the next morning, and was told (after the clerk confirmed they did not have another copy in stock) "we cannot exchange it", An assistant manager then, after speaking with the manager, asked me to follow him throughout the store where he told me he'd inserted it into another player and "I will have to charge a 15% restocking fee". I replied that I would take my business elsewhere, to which he only replied "We don't want you to do that." and repeated that he could not approve a return without charging a 15% restocking fee.
There was no offer to order a replacement.
They wasted a significant amount of my time failing to fulfill their own policy and their contractual obligation.
I had intended after the exchange to purchase several other items at the store: Doctor Who Series Seven (parts 1 and 2), White Collar Seasons One, Two and Three. But their refusal to honor their own policy has prompted me to check the prices on the same products at Best Buy - which I found to be lower for all five, plus the original Psych product.
This place used to be a place we take visitor to see as a tourist traction, but it is struggling for survival. It still provides everything one need to build their own computer and any DYI electronics one can imaging, but there are not enough customers to support the business any more. I am so sad to see them start to sell Mattresses, and, before that, porno videos.
bought a portable dvd player,
it won't WORK!!!!!!!!!!!
At this point, the building is too large for the inventory, and I find myself doing a heckin wander to conclude they do not have in stock what I'm looking for. Staff is still wonderfully helpful, lines are still reasonable, if only there was something I desired to purchase.
Fry's is normally a wonder to behold. This trip for whatever reason it was understocked and too quiet. Looking for a return to Fry's normalcy.
A centralized hub for a huge variety of electronics and electrical appliances at competitive rates. Staff is friendly and multi-lingual. Sufficient parking space available. Keep watching online / visit the store for it's specials and bargain deals.
Good collection of electronics. But beware of bait pricing practices. Unless you remember the exact price with which an item was listed, they may over charge you. If you point out the mistake before purchase, they will correct it. However, if you point out after sale, they hardly give a damn. Given that they are unapologetic of such continued mistakes (happened to me, more than 2 times in a week), I wonder if bait pricing is part of their business strategy. They may think, who has time and patience to get few dollars reversed by visiting store anyways.
Amazing prices, just have to negotiate with the sales people.
Great place. Bought my 49 inch monitor from here. Not very crowded.
Loved the shopping experience, all electronic goods under one roof. Build your own computer
They Are Not As Good As They Were In Their Heyday (During The '90s- The D.Y.I. PC Boom), But They Are Usually Still Better Than Best Buy
Don t recommend, staff never asked me if I needed help with items and never greeted. Just because I was black someone was following me. Can t believe racial profiling still exists
So many options in electrics and electronics. Definitely recommend.
You should sign up Fry's Promo Deal to get higher discount price.
I visited on a weekday evening, but it was quite quiet
LOOKED on website for a particular item before going. Says it's in stock then when you get there nope can't find, they don't have, and none of the store do even though it says in stock in store.
The internet is killing this company. Service is slacking, lots of empty shelves.
Sad shell of former self. No employees, no merchandising and no housekeeping. I thought I was in Sears.
This is a big Fry's with a lot of aisles for electronics and various components. However, like most Fry's I've been to recently, many things are no longer carried in store. When I went there to get a 1/4" audio cable for example, they no longer carried it - something that would have been unheard of just a short time ago.
I spend too much money here. :)
Pro tip: the same accessory might be in several aisles depending on vendor. Fry's price matches Amazon. So, check there while in store. I got a nice Bluetooth multimeter for $27 :)
Sad.sad.sad. Fry's used to be an electronic store. Now it's a lot of depressing, empty shelves with hollow eyed zombie employees staring at their phones.
The store is seriously under staffed and people have to wait long. The staff also needs a lot of education on getting the work done as a order pick up took 30 min for me. They have 20 counters of which just 3 were actively serving people. The store is huge but very badly organised. Hopefully the management looks into this and they seriously need to upgrade their systems to stay competitive.
Extremely bad customer service during checkout. Decided not to buy couple thousands of stuff after their rude behaviour.
It's clear they are on their last legs, despite what they say about restocking on a consignment model and being ready for the holidays. Sad.
Never been disappointed at Fry's. Products are at a good price -- as long as you know how to assemble them yourself.
One of the clerks was utterly unhelpful, while the other went out of his way to help us. A third was somewhat helpful. Checking out took a long time and the items are not always well-organized i.e. you have to dig a little to find what you need.
Looked up a game on their website to make sure it was there before heading over only to find out upon arrival that they had known the game was not in store and did nothing about. I had to go hunting for an employee to find this out since their entertainment section apparently wasn't staffing that day. Yeah. Order online.
If you like electronics, this store has everything you want! I was quite bored, but my boyfriend loved it. There are some good deals
I love ordering online and picking it up in a matter of minutes from the counter. They have a huge store with a lot of contents. This is definitely positive, but at the same time it becomes the negative because I easily get lost in their store looking for items. My wish is for them to have more staff, or even better a phone app that can direct you toward the item in the store.
Too big for it's own good. Get ready to look for the same thing in 3 separate aisles
HUGE STORE, especially from the perspective of an Los Angeles resident where this much space is super expensive, with a equally huge selection which is good and bad. Unfortunately I never saw even ONE employee on the floor the entire time so I was wandering up and down the aisles searching for what I came to purchase. All employees seemed to be in one area... at checkout ready to take my money and verify my receipt. This is why I shop online.
The shelves are mostly empty. Hardly any customers. It is sad to see this once popular store go downhill.
Like all Fry's, the shelves are always a bit messy. They do price match and I'm not usually hounded by sales staff at this location.
It's a big electronics shop... What more can I say!
Fry's is not what it used to be. Prices can always be beat on the internet. Selection is down. Staff is friendly, but knows little to nothing about the products on the shelves.
The range and rapid change of products makes it unlikely that the person helping you will be as knowledgeable as you would prefer.
The commission staff can be hard sell salespeople, they do try to meet the specs. Do your homework.
It seems that the target audience has shifted from engineers and businesses to family entertainment and play.
