Good for women s and knick knack shopping. Hit or miss for men s. If consigning they are kinda picky. Brought in multiple times season appropriate Dior, Valentino...etc in like new condition and they didn t take it so not really looking for designer men s from my experiences. Usually see more designer for women s and for men s adidas, Fred perry, all saints, zanerobe type items. Some things seemingly bought off a closing store or something (Lots of Barney Cools/Zanerobe with tags last time I was there if your into that.)
Overall really friendly staff, ok prices and good women s selection! Would give 5 stars but Men s needs a little more focus imo.

This is one of my favourites. Good mix of used and new. Includes jewelry, shoes, bags, accessories, fun gifts etc. Has a section of more expensive designer stuff (average $160-260). Not as good as Main Exchange down the street.
You can find some nice clothing here but the staff are not very welcoming. I have often gone in within 30 mins of closing (stopping in after work) and every single staff member will come around 20 minutes before the store closes to remind you "just so you know we're closing soon". I went in with my baby and had a few items hanging from the stroller handlebar (not dragging on the floor or anything). They looked at me suspiciously like I was going to steal something and insisted on starting me a room even though it was all sweaters I could try on over my clothes. One time I went in with my own skirt to try to find a top that would go with it and they inspected it to make sure it was mine. Don't treat your customers with suspicion by default. Also, there is a 6 item limit on change rooms to make sure you don't steal anything, meaning you have to get dressed again and ask for more items every 6 pieces. Just let people try their stuff on in peace!
So chic and unique consignment collection! Love the window shopping experience looking at the fashionable layered outfits - so many styles and feelings you can show with these pieces. Appreciate the positive messages too! Prices are slightly on the high end. Also has plenty of gift options and accessories. Guarantees a fun shopping experience overall.
My experiences at Front and Company have always been super positive whether it's coming in to shop, or consign clothing. They make the consignment process very easy and take the hassle of selling your clothes off your hands. Their staff are also very friendly and willing to assist you with all your shopping needs! The brands you'll find on consignment are a bit more brand name, like Aritizia, Lululemon, Nike, Paige denim, Levis, Zara, etc.
Overall a great way to save some money and do your part when it comes to the environment!
day started out cold and ended up unexpectedly warm, which is to say that I went into the store with a heavy coat draped over my arms. Spent the next 5 mins in the store being obsessively followed by a sales associate who seemed much more interested in me than my partner. The moment I picked up merchandise, she was very eager to get it out of my hands and to the counter. Not a particularly pleasant experience. Won t be coming back.
Very cool consignment place, they take tons of my stuff haha! 99% Super nice staff, clearly management is attentive to customer service quality being high.. Unique items for sale too
Consignment prices are hit and miss. Sometimes they'll try to sell an item at what must be full price or close to it, and other times you get a deal. Selection isn't exactly my style, and too much is relatively simple standards like a plain long-sleeved shirt, which makes way more sense to buy thrift than for $24. Still, they've got some cool brands, vintage, and some interesting, worthwhile pieces. Worth a visit, but don't be surprised if you walk out empty-handed.
I clearly asked if i could refund and i was told that I can get a refund "money" within 10 days. Heck, i checked today, they told me they never do refunds for money, only store credit! I think the sale associate should make it clear that the refund is for store credit only! Poor customer service!
I visited for a summer basics haul: shorts, tanks and tees.
They seem to LOVE two brands: Free People and Wilfred. I would say roughly 50-75% of the stock in the 3 sections I visited were either of these two brands.
This store also stocks x-small-med most frequently too. I found some decent stuff as a size 10, which was nice tho :)
Horrible customer service. Poor quality, damaged and dirty clothes on the racks being sold for high prices. Also, don't even bother bringing in your clothes to consign with them as they barely look at your clothes and put the onus on you for everything. Would not recommend to anyone. Will never step foot in their store again.
Great collection of socks! So many varieties and pairs! Has some neat stuff for the home and kitchen, but the men's clothing prices are higher than Winners for nearly the same type of selection.
Their consignment is basically useless. They say they take used items but only actually accept new items. I took many items in excellent condition from brands like lululemon, Zara, banana republic to them and they refused to accept all of them. They wasted my time and energy to pack things and take it there.
Not very friendly and when I got my clothes back there were some critters on them in the bag. I was gonna go back and complain but I felt the staff would care anyway.
Don't come here if you're looking to sell your clothes. It takes an hour for them to look at 3 pieces of clothing and they'll tell you it doesn't fit their style and give it all back to you. Waste of time.
Pretty expensive for a second-hand clothing store, but lots of neat stuff. Not much for taller guys, but that's just how it is. Lots of (new) fun socks.
horrible customer service. i was trying out some items at 6;30 (closing time) and at 6:32 i was asked if i needed help? i was ok with that. then 6:35 i lady ask if i was going to buy anything. then she said to me "well come on lets go". first off i am sorry you had to wait 10min longer to make one final sale. secondly it will be my final sale at this store. not impressed at all
Front had always been one of my favourite stores and although I find I haven t found as much good stuff there in a while I always enjoyed looking. Now all of a sudden there s tons of staff taking your items when you re browsing, making you check your bag and overall being overly regimented about the whole experience. I don t like businesses treating customers like criminals (especially when they have security sensors) and it is really taking the enjoyment out of the experience of shopping there.
Edit: (One week later): Moving down to two stars from five stars. Having purchased a mix of consignment items and new ones, I have to say I am disappointed with the new items. The pants ($64.95, on sale for $39.00) did not even last two wears before coming away at the seams. I know it is not from rubbing or stretching as they are quite a loose fit. I was expecting a much longer life from the clothes I purchased here and am disappointed. Consignment items seem to be fine though.
Original: I found everything on my list and more! I love the layout of the store - clothes on consignment are separated by type and then by colour. It's organized enough to be able to find what you're looking for but still get the thrill of pulling a gem off the rack. There's a great mix of consignment clothing and accessories and new items. I came away from the store having spent just under $200 for six items - great value for pieces I know will last. Front & Company is also my go-to for gifts when I'm looking for earrings, socks, and kitchenware.
Clean. Professional. First time here so that's my first thought. Definitely worth checking out more when I have more time. Men's and women's fashion available.
For sure my go to place to find some amazing pieces! Saves the time going through thrift store stuff, plus they have some great accessories and jewelry. It is a great way shop sustainably and still be fashionable :)
Weird mix of overpriced thrift shop finds, overpriced brands I've never heard of, and some cool & unique items. The store itself is well organized and tidy, but doesn't have a great selection for guys. Also, if you're over 6 feet you probably won't find anything. Most of the clothes seemed to be small and medium, for the petite males & manlets. I would have rated lower, but it's probably a decent shop if you're looking for women's clothing.
The store itself is beautiful and perfect for gift shopping as you can throw together different things for anyone. Only bad thing I would say was the staff. From the moment I walked in, one man kept following me around constantly asking if I wanted him to hold onto anything I touched. Then I picked out a flask and he found the need to point out that it was 200 dollars as if I couldn t afford it. While paying for my items with another girl at the cashier, he came over and asked if everything was alright without any indication from the girl otherwise. I am only 20 but never in my life have I been treated like this at a store in any of the many countries I have lived in. I spent 150 dollars because I was on a tight time schedule but ersonally would never go back.
Great clothes... horrible customer service. I'd selected an armful of clothes I was excited to try on and an employee took my clothes to get a "fitting room started for me". I was glad to have my hands free but when I got to the fitting room my clothes were nowhere to be found. Apparently he had somehow 'lost' my clothes but had no recollection of where he may have put them. Neither the employee nor any other staff member was helpful in finding my clothes, and they were not accommodating or apologetic either. Certainly not impressed.
This is easily my favorite clothing store in Vancouver. Their selection is varied and affordable and I always seem to walk out with GREAT, unique pieces. Staff is super friendly and the store is set up in a really awesome, easy to navigate way. UGH. I love this store. I live in New York for most of the year but honestly still do most of my clothes shopping at Front!
Front & Company is a great option for quality and diverse consignment and new clothing at reasonable prices. A definite visit if you are looking for clothing from Aritzia, BCBG, Club Monaco, and Holt Renfrew at lower prices and in great condition.
A good store overall, but really overpriced items. I do wish they would be more specific with what consignment items they're looking for, especially that are in season. I remember one time I talked to a staff and asked what they're looking for. I packed exactly what she has told me, and when I brought a full bag of clothes, they only took 2 items. I was left disappointed after because when I first came to F&C for consignment, they took about 80% of clothing I have. I realized then that F&C was undergoing change of management, and it's no wonder why staff are so bitter and unapproachable when customers come in the store.
When reading the reviews here, I do understand that F&C are very picky with their select of consignment items; however, this is a "vintage" store, which means they would unlikely take items that are quite high end such as Dolce and Gabanna, Armani, Guess and etc. My suggestion is to bring these items on some of the consignment stores on South Granville. Otherwise, if you have any good quality Aritzia, Plenty or other vinage brand clothing, F&C are very much open in taking these kind of items (not always guaranteed, but it works like a charm).
My last visit was all right. It's still very vague with what they are looking for consignment purposes, so I do wish they improve that and be more specific. Staff are improving and are a lot more better than the past staff. Items are still quite overpriced, but I think everyone should be wise enough not to spend their annual income on an entire new wardrobe and focus on clothing that is actually needed.
They don't even look at your stuff. Brought in one big bag with a leather coat, $500 designer dress, and nice wide leg jeans. They looked at the top four items and "no thanks".
Disappointed in the return policy for mislabeled items. I purchased two pairs of earrings which turned out to be ear cuffs so I returned them the same day - within an hour of purchasing. The store manager (Sarah) exchanged them for two equally priced, proper earrings and advised that they are now final sale. I didn t agree with Sarah s conclusion that they should be final sale when the mislabeled ones I had purchased an hour earlier were returnable within 14 days with receipt for in store credit. I feel she could have offered me the same consideration as it was clear that this was a store error and not a customer error. I did bring this issue to her attention and she said sorry but it s store policy .
I went there today to drop off my things but they didn't go through my bag except the top jacket then told me that it was the season for my things or they were too worn which is completely not the truth. When I asked if they had looked at the brand new wilfred romper they said it was not in the bag. When I got back to my car I went through the bag and it was the third item. What a waste of time .. Wont support their snooty store and lying staff. No thank you!
Buyer Beware... If you are buying a designer name, make sure you check to see if it's authentic. I unfortunately trusted Front to not sell me a fake pair of Prada sneakers but will know better now. Note to management: deny inauthentic items from consignee's that you KNOW are 100% fake or make it clear on the tag that it's bootleg/ replica.
Well organized, curated consignment at very reasonable prices. They have a selection of new items as well as some jewelry. Great place for buying used without all the hunting.
always great customer service as all the staff are extremely friendly. you have to know what kind of items they're looking for if you want to consign. your 2010 aritzia items are simply just not going to cut it, especially if its winter.
Rude, slow and completely unnecessary on not letting me shop with my 72 year old mother. Wanted to separate us and let others in after waiting 30 minutes. Door lady couldn't care less ...never will be back. Will support other shops instead
One of my favourite clothing stores on Main Street, Front & Company has some of the best consignment/sample clothing in the city for reasonable prices! They sell funky household trinkets too (a la Urban Outfitters). My wardrobe wouldn't be the same without Front & Company.
I used to like this place, and had some decent finds. These days, I just can t be bothered with the snotty attitude from the consignment staff, or their new policy on leaving even the smallest purse in their hands while you try clothes- their staff are disorganised enough as it is without causing that extra wait.
Don't waste your time bringing in clothes for consignment. They only look at the top few items and told me my clothes weren't in style. The reason why I know they didn't go through my bag? It was in the same order as I bagged it.. Had some items that are still on the Aritzia website and they told me my clothes weren't in style.. Walked around the store and saw a few items for sale that I didn't bring in because I really thought they weren't in style. Go figure.
They won't give you back the money after 6 months. So you better keep track of the time yourself. Even though they do, they wrote my name wrong on the cheque and I ended up have to wait for another week and drive back to get my cheque. Not professional.
Consignment and new, the styles are easy and trendy, the quality and pricing are great. There are very nice new accessories and good quality consignment shoes. I have found many pieces here and many friends have as well. Also love the creative and interesting window displays, shows why they curate a great selection of styles.
One of the must visit store in Vancouver. They sell great deal of gifts. Huge store but organized and full of interesting stuffs. Great store for buying gifts. They have the best selection of interesting gifts. Wonderful staffs and great services. Visit this store once a month and loving every visit.
AWFUL. Incredibly cold and snotty staff at the consignment counter. I waited for 45 mins (in the store!) for my items to be checked through. They were ALL in season, and all in mint condition. Everything was declined. They told me to bring two of the items back in the spring (raw denim jeans and jacket - because no one wears these items in the fall???) and about 5 other items were fully declined. The clothes in the store are also overpriced, boring, and the new clothes they sell are super cheap quality. Don't waste your time.
Don't bother bringing your consignment here. I brought in several bags of good quality like-new recent season brand name items from Anthropologie, J Brand, Aritzia, Zara, Banana Republic, to name a few. They ended up taking 2 shirts. Then they had the nerve to email me a few weeks later to say that they found a hole in one of the shirts and I had to come pick it up. This obviously happened while they were in possession of the shirt... how irresponsible, I don't really understand how they could possibly have made it sound like it was my fault. I didn't really think it was even worth the trip down there to pick up the $20 for the shirt they did sell. Anyway, I ended up bringing my bags of clothes to another consignment boutique on Main St and they made me $500+ so I guess it's just this place is snobby with terrible service.
The staff is rude and condescending. I work in retail as well and I'm surprised the associates get away with treating their customers this way. I've never felt this uncomfortable trying to shop for something. Never going back.
Way too expensive for this area. Can buy cards, etc on 4th Ave in Kits with many or more interesting and unique products. Staff is slightly uneducated about what's in the store. Ho hum...
The place is nice, they have cute accessories and the new clothes area is nice however most of the clothes in the thrift store part are small and overpriced - $50 for a shirt that has already been used
Just like Winnie Tran who brought in the lower quality designer wear. Well i am simply offended they wont take Banana Republic. I will have to take my prada knock offs elsewhere.
