I went in a first time buyer nervous as could be! Everyone i came in contact was very "friendly." I would recommend my salesman Jonathan Mascelli to anyone & everyone! He helped me find a car that was suitable to my likes, wants and needs! Now I have a car that I LOVE!! Thank you Friendship Ford & Jonathan, you all ROCK!

The sales team was great in helping during my selection process. I knew exactly what I wanted and they worked to make sure I got just that. There was no unnecessary pressure, just working to get me the vehicle i wanted and at a price I could afford. Great experience.

This was my second oil change on my now-year-old 2016 Mustang GT. The first service had some issues, but Anthony Townsend, the service manager, was quick to reconcile all my issues. The second service could not have gone better!

I seen a used Ford Escape online and inquired about it and received a call from Cassidy, then I did the finance online. When I went to the dealership they were ready to take care of me. David Minor was very informative on the deals on buying a new Ford Escape verses a new one. I decided the better deal was to go with a new Ford Escape. I have purchased many vehicles in the past, but I have never been in and out of a dealership so fast and easy. That's the fastest vehicle I have ever purchased. I would recommend anyone to go to friendship ford. They knew what they were doing and did it fast.

Thank You,
Rhonda Venable

While getting my oil changed at a different location I was told I had an antifreeze leak. After calling different Ford locations, I live in Johnson City, Friendship Ford was the only one that would look at my car that day. I was told by another dealership since I didn t buy it there (it s a company fleet car) they couldn t look at it until at least the end of the next week. Friendship had no issues and were very friendly and kept us up to date on their findings and repair. I will continue to drive the hour each way to have my car serviced there from now on.

I made an appointment for last Thursday for an oil change. I had some changes happen on Wednesday and stopped by to see if they could work me in. At 1pm I was able to bring it in and have the oil changed. They also got the parts in to complete the recall that was due on my mustang. They jumped right on it and got it completed also. Everyone that I delt with were very professional and enjoyable to work with. The mechanics that I talked to are top notch and know there stuff. I will come back and recommend this dealership to anyone. Great job keep it up!

this company is the epitome of all the negative auto dealership stereotypes. by phone we were working with a nice and polite female salesperson. upon arrival we were told we could only work with Gabe Hawley, he is a pompous know it all. he does not listen to his customers, interrupts when we spoke and over all is simply rude.
we did end up deciding to purchase the vehicle. they would not show us the title. they said they would send it to us. it took 2+ months to get the title and tags. we would make follow up calls. they would hang up on our calls or ignore our attempts to speak with them. we would ask for the general manger. he/she was a coward and would never answer our calls nor would they return our messages.
in the end we had to get legal help to finally get the title and plates for the car.

AVOID this company at ALL costs

they would get zero stars if that was an option

Can you say arrogance? Ding ding ding, yes that s it. If you want to feel belittled and enjoy sub par customer service this is the place for you! The finance manger is the cherry on top of this sundae. From a business standpoint, try speaking to customers, not at them. You would be surprised what a difference this can make. Also, seeing many of the workers walking around on their phones is a nice professional touch too.....no....but.....Honestly, if you value your hard earned money, do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. There are plenty of dealerships around that will treat you like a human being, and genuinely do everything they can to assist you throughout your car buying journey. This is not it my friend, keep it moving!!! Buying a car is a huge commitment. As a customer, you should always feel supported and valued. They need you to keep their doors open not vise versa. The superiority factor and lack of professionalism killed it for me. Thanks, but no thanks.

Bought a 2015 ford explorer 30 days ago... and before we even received the registration, the car broke down and we had to have it towed to the dealership and pay out of pocket for repairs...extremely disappointed in this place after the claims they made that they would "take care of us!" That all changed once they got their money. They claim that they do an extensive inspection of used vehicles but I do not think that is true. I understand that when buying a used vehicle, that you take that chance, but before the ink dries on the paper? Sad...just sad! Do what is right Friendship Ford!

FOLLOW UP POST!!!!
Ok so I got a call from the service director at the dealership! His name was brandon, and let me just tell you....he definitely made things better! He called me and asked me about my service and I proceeded to tell him the situation and he offered to take care of everything! I must say that I am impressed with this result! They definitely didn't have to do that and I can honestly say that my previous post was totally wrong! Thank you friendship ford for everything that you have done and will do for me and my family in the future!!! 10 star service!

Service was amazing! David Murray was great! I couldn't make up my mind what I wanted and he was so patient and understanding. They worked hard to get my payment where I wanted it. Treated me like a person not a sale!

I will start off by saying that in the end, someon...

I will start off by saying that in the end, someone higher in the dealership's management team saw my initial online review and made things right. Thank you Shane, for your assistance. However, buying a car should not be this stressful. Sales and finance staff acting in a careless manner, promising one interest rate, dragging out the process until the customer is frustrated, hungry and distracted by the thoughts of just getting out of there. Then rushing the customer through the finance paperwork to help get them wrapped up, so they can be done. BEWARE! This is where they slip in the interest rate that is nearly double what was promised and as a result, higher payments. All done without pointing it out to you. Just "sign here, initial here, here and here...". Later, you find out you're saddled with terms that you never would have agreed to and maybe can't really afford.

You call them the next business day (a Monday) and all you get is "Well the paperwork is signed and sent to the bank now. Not sure we can do anything, since it has already been sent in". Well yes, something can be done, they just don't WANT to try. To them, the deal is done and they've moved on to other victims. Why help you? You're the fish that has already been caught and placed in the ice box. Repeated calls asking for somebody to help, only result in promises of a call back that never comes and an email address that doesn't work.

Not until I posted a long, highly detailed, one-star review of the dealership on multiple sites, did someone higher in the management team reach out with the promise to try to help. Not because anyone working for them, brought it to their attention! No, this person had no idea, because none of the staff who were contacted had tried. Even then, a whole week goes by before the call comes in that the promised interest rate has been worked out and the situation resolved. I can't imagine having someone working for me who would act in such a callous manner towards customers and risk the reputation of the business. It almost seems as though the dealership makes more money on higher interest rates using the banks they prefer to use.

I've received messages from a number of people who had similar experiences, but didn't get the same issue resolution. I can only guess that in some cases, negative online reviews were not left because the customer feels embarrassed for getting taken. My advice for buyers is to walk away. Don't allow staff to leave you sitting for extended periods of time. I suspect that is a tactic they purposefully employ to get you eager to "sign and go". And don't let anyone rush you. If it is close to closing time or you need to grab a meal, then go. They want you to believe that the car you are looking at is being looked at by others, which makes it more desirable. But it is very unlikely that at the end of the day, it'll be sold before the next morning. If they can't hold it for you while you go get a meal, be VERY suspicious. In the end, if you feel you haven't been dealt with honestly and fairly, write a review. List all the facts of the situation and let other customers know what to expect. Maybe you'll get the attention of someone who will help you.

Had some minor issues with my last service here. Nothing that affected the vehicle as much as communication problems. After speaking with the service manager, Anthony, he made everything right and went above and beyond. Very satisfied with his desire to work things out. His resolution was more than enough to make things better, and I'll definitely be going back here in the future.

Even though we couldn t come to an agreement on the vehicle I was interested in, and I didn t purchase. The staff was friendly and polite. Good customer service, unlike other car dealerships I have been to. I dealt with Tim and spoke with Nick over the phone. Both had great customer service! Wish we could have came to an agreement.

I am super dissapointed. I conversed with a girl over the period of a day. Was working with her on financing and then I've never heard from her again. Just kept ignoring me. So I went some where else and now I'm driving a new car.

Great experience! Smooth transaction at a fair market price with no haggling. Lucais, our sales associate, was top notch, knowledgable, and the least "car salesman-y" car salesman that I've come across. After initial test drive, they had vehicle we wanted on lot in 2 days, and paperwork done, out the door in 2 hrs. I highly recommend both Lucais, and the dealership to anyone interested.

Ineptitude unbounded or misdirection? Wow! Never knew buying a vehicle and giving a dealership money to would be so difficult. Purchasing a vehicle from sales professionals apparently requires the buyers full attention to make sure all persons involved do their jobs in a thorough and complete manner. Long story short...I live in Charlotte, NC.

1- Called the dealership about a truck I found online. End of business day (Wed) so to call back tmrw. (Thurs)
2- Followed up the following day speaking to salesman and finance mngr.
*After many/quite a few attempts/verbal prompts, ques, etc...I said "Please just run the numbers and tell me the rate..I'm ready to buy. I have an 800+ credit score and will put down money to hold it"
3- Finance mngr. ran the numbers, came back with an agreeable rate. I said " OK, great. Done. Lets do the deal. I will put down $___ to hold the vehicle. Lets move forward. Here is my credit card to process the down payment and hold the truck. He took the information. When can you deliver the truck? Next week he said. OK. Great!
4- Went through the process of plates/insurance, etc. Thurs/Fri via phone in preparation for delivery and signing papers on Monday.
5- Followed up on Saturday to assure delivery date and time. Was to receive a call Monday with time of arrival.
6- Received call Monday morning from the salesman..."Bad news...They sold your truck over the weekend".

Summary:
1- Apparently the truck was not even on site although listed as such.
*Was there even a truck? Or a ghost deal?
2- Nobody in finance processed my down payment/paperwork to hold the truck.
* Really? See #1
3- The salesman had no clue about any of this as he processed the deal all the while?
* He didn't know where it was/status/etc?
3- The truck was sold on Saturday to someone else. The same day he was "prepping it for delivery".
*Really?

Conclusion:
I guess it falls to consumers/business owners like me... to perform ALL Due Diligence when it comes to purchasing a vehicle these days. Don't leave it up to "the professionals" to do what you ask, what they are supposed to, without follow up. Unfortunately disappointment is very prevalent these days and this dealership/team is no exception. Sorry guys...you failed miserably or just mislead me from the start.

Feedback/apologies and an explanation are welcome on this public forum. I have been waiting for a return call from Management for 4+hrs today. The day of delivery...

Our purchase at Friendship was an awesome experience. Anthony was very knowledgeable, kind and respectful. He seemed enthusiastic about the Explorer we ask to test drive as well as the F-150 we decided to purchase. He was available to us from start to finish. I will certainly recommend others to Friendship.

I would love to give a zero star rating if there was one. I only inquired about a truck to see if it was still available. Since then I have gotten a minimum of 3 emails and 2 calls per day, be it from a customer service to a salesman and even one that calls himself a manager. I just want them to go away. I wouldn't buy a car from them now if they were selling Ferraris for a dollar. I can' t imagine how this tactic works. What do you do hound somebody to death till they buy a car hoping you will leave them alone? To me this is harassment. PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE!!!

Anthony Campbell gave us 5 star service from the first contact through to completed sale. He was consistently professional; a good face for the Ford brand. He was knowledgable and able to communicate this knowledge easily. Anthony listened to us, he did not just talk and we very much appreciated it. A great buying experience.

You may want to compare oil change cost before you have Friendship Ford do the work. Oil change for full syn. was $89.00, Wal mart will do it for $49.00. Check it out!! Also, I was told before I took the XC90 for service that the inside cabin air filter would be about $68.00 total, it was $90.00 +. Be sure you understand all the cost estimates before you go for service.

James was involved from day one, He called to thank us for our business and to let me know that he would be and continue to be involved during and after the sale. this was a cab & chassis purchase with a out-sourced service body. I feel communication is and continues to help with smooth transactions as proven during this purchase. I received weekly updates on the progress and time frames. I further feel that Friendship is Very fortunate to have employees Like James on the front line. I also liked the fact that James delivered the Tuck, that was a first in the twenty three years that I have worked with the Town of Wise. I appreciate everyone involved including the delivery driver, its nice to be greeted with a wonderful smile.

This place was awesome. Always get a phone call or follow up after my service. They worked hard to get me in a car. I had less than perfect credit but because I had 4 years of excellent payments with my previous car they got in one. To ensure I was getting the best they got on the phone with ford to get me financed. This is the fourth Ford Focus I've owned and I love it. Definitely recommend them and when I buy a truck it will be from them.

I have been waiting along time to get the Mustang I wanted. I checked with several dealerships starting via email. They were very accommodating to work around my hectic work and personal schedule.
Katelyn was awesome with the email, text and internet interaction. Answered all my questions and
searched high and low for the setup that I wanted. Once on site Rob was very layed back and made me feel very comfortable on dealing with all the specifics. A+++

I have purchased three trucks here, all from David Minor, and when I get ready for my next one it will be here. Hopefully from David.

I owned a Volvo XC70 for 11 years. I took it in to Friendship Volvo for service. I was always VERY pleased with the service department. For that reason, when it was time to buy a different car, I worked with Friendship but on the Hyundai side. We bought a used XC60 but 77 days after the purchase, the car wouldn't start. I was really mad. I had to pay to have the car hauled in but in the end, I am thankful Friendship worked with me to compromise on the repair bill, none of which was covered under the 90 day warranty. I will stick with my original opinion that Friendship Volvo Service Department is great.

Our experience with Friendship Ford couldn t have been better. We have never really had an enjoyable experience purchasing a vehicle until working with James Moffitt at Friendship. James is the epitome of a Rock Star Salesman! He anticipated all of needs and handled everything for us. Thank you so much James. We would also like to thank Mitch for taking care of us. Congrats on the opening of the new showroom, it s beautiful.

I have never been more dissatisfied with a car buy...

I have never been more dissatisfied with a car buying experience. at the end of the sale they tacked on an extra $3200 in "warranty" above the negotiated price. the reluctantly refunded $2400 but refused to refund the $800 first place finish that was never applied nor could be explained the same by more than 5 different friendship employees from the salesman to the sales manager to the service manager. One person said it came with 2 free details a year, another person only 1, another person no details but was supposed to come with a kit. long story short i was charged $800 for a product/service that was never even applied. That's on top of the %100 profit $700 "doc fee" that is nothing more than stealing above the negotiated price. My advice is to buy from somewhere else, although most places will be just as dishonest.

1-1/2 hrs for an oil change for a appointment that was made 3 days in advance. I Made appointment for 9am (first appointment that app would allow). The Staff seemed more interested in talking to each other than to acknowledge me when I walked in. App showed one price but they tried to charge me over $40 more than what I had agreed to. I Thought that going to dealership I purchased my new Ford from would be best. I won't make that mistake again.

I got a great deal, especially for the low mileage and warranties, and Im now officially excited about it! I went to Friendship #Ford in #Bristol and James Moffitt was excellent! No pressure and such a great help! He actually sold this car to the original owners, then they came in to trade it in on a new #Explorer, and then to me! Which was super helpful because he could actually vouch for the vehicle & service history in its entirety! So to James and all the other great folks at #FriendshipFord, THANK YOU SO MUCH! I've finally had a great experience with a dealership in #TriCities! #YoureTheBest #FordExplorer

My salesman was David Minor was a Great guy and not pushy at all. Truck is really nice. I could have used more training on the truck features and the Ford Pass app (and still could). David had to be out the night I pick up the truck and I didn't get the grand tour.

I don't know if I just drew the short straw or wha...

I don't know if I just drew the short straw or what, but my 2nd purchase from Friendship has been nothing but a money pit. I bought an '04 Explorer 2 years ago and 4 months later, the transmission went out about 4,000 miles past 100k. I bought the extended warranty, which (guess what???) would only pay for a used transmission. A new one would've set me back an additional $2k+. Since then, it's been one thing after another - mostly things the warranty DON'T cover. The things wrong with this vehicle were obvious to my local mechanic. There are things needing repaired that I can't afford to repair ahead of time. Last night, the gear shift broke off in my hand! I'm at the point where I'm ready to just let the finance company have it because I can't keep shoveling money into a LEMON and pay the loan company - and pay for all of my other living expenses. Rich I'm not. I would just recommend using caution if you are looking to buy a used vehicle from this dealer, especially if you're interested in a different vehicle and they continuously push another one you "because it's such a better vehicle." Lesson learned. I have to give them 1 star because I feel like they had know about some of the pending problems with the vehicle. I feel they put band-aids on to get it sold. And this unlucky sucker bit the bait.

Love Friendship Ford! We just bought an Explorer and Lariat truck because of their service dept!!! Jenni Townsend has helped my mother get her car repaired after it had been at another dealership for almost 3 months. I have a friend that had problems at their closing time and she had a tech stay so he could get back on the road to Texas.
So impressed with Jenni Townsend, David Murray, Josh Kyte and Steven Mortensen. Will never go anywhere else to buy a vehicle! They went above and beyond to help us.

It has been many years since I purchased a new vehicle, but the staff made it a very pleasant experience. The sales staff are on salary, not commission, so they are not pushy. The only issue I had was that the vehicle I went to see had been loaned out that morning. I could have waited to see that vehicle, but was shown another one that was almost identical and met my needs. It was well worth the 1 1/2 hour drive for me.

Thank you Mike Rabbitts from Friendship Ford! My daughter s 2012 Ford Focus broke down in the fast lane during morning rush hour traffic on a major New Jersey highway 3 weeks ago. After googling info on the transmission issues we came across Phoebe Wall Howard s article in the Free Press about Ford & issues with these vehicles. Mike and Friendship Ford was mentioned in the article. My husband reached out to the dealership to get advice on how the dealerships were handling customers. Not realizing the time difference, the dealership had closed for the day. He left a message and the next day to our surprise they returned our call. The girl returning the call was pleasant and put Mike on the phone. His guidance gave us the information we needed to convey to the dealership we were working with here in Jersey. After a few phone calls to Ford customer service and the dealership we were working with, the car was repaired for no cost. We wish we were closer to Bristol Tennessee. We would bring all our cars to this dealership for repairs. Considering we left a message an hour after closing and calling from another state, Mike took the time to help us. What great customer service! Thank you Mike and Friendship Ford!

Went to trade in my 04 Infiniti fx35 on an04 Lincoln aviator that had a few problems like busted lift gate bent step guards and a tick in the motor. The salesman offered me the trade plus he was gonna give me 3000 to boot. I had to go get my title so we shook hands on the deal and I was to pick the vehicle up the next day. Later that night they called and said they could only give 2000 to boot, after bitching a little I decided that was still alright. So the next morning while I was on the road to get my title they call and saytheycan only trade straight up. This is not an honest place, not honest people, and they're just liars. If you shake on a deal it used to be as good as done. These people are rude scoundrels

2017 F-250 Super Duty purchased on 1-20-20. My salesman was Brandon Hood. Can t say enough good things about Brandon. Helpful, knowledgeable, friendly. I would highly recommend contacting Brandon for help on a new or used vehicle. The Sales manager who helped me was Bill Bishop. Same experience with Bill. Friendly, knowledgeable, eager to help in any way. Gabe in finance department was the same way. Go see them for a new or used vehicle. You will not be sorry.

We recently paid cash for our 2015 Kia. We love the car, and felt like we got a good deal on it. Our problems began when we went to DMV to get our tags. The car had previously been repossed, and had 2 liens against the title. Friendship Ford failed to make sure both liens were removed. I have been calling and talking to everyone who works there for almost a week now, to no avail. If I leave a message, no one returns my call. If I speak to someone who tells me they will call me back, they never do. When I call again, I always get someone who doesn't know the situation and I have to explain all over again. They did overnight to me what they said I needed to prove the second lien was released. However, they sent a photocopy of the release. DMV told me the dealership should know better. We must have the original paperwork. Here we are, still waiting on a phone call from someone to make their mistake right. I have been told it is illegal for them to sell a vehicle without liens being released. I really hope I am not forced to get an attorney just so I can tag my car.
The reason I give 2 stars is because I love the car, and felt like the price was reasonable. I am so frustrated with the dealership. Due to this I will not recommend this dealership to anyone. I also will not purchase from this dealership again. This is not my fault at all, and the aftercare from the dealership is horrible.

I was in and out faster than promised. They identified some problems but did not try to sell me anything that was not needed. When the battery I bought for the key did not open the door the service manger went out and found the problem. Great team.

The guys at Friendship Ford truly lived up to their name. I blew a clamp off the boost tube to the turbo in my 2002 F250 7.3 Powerstroke while traveling down 81. The guys in service took my truck in right away, figured out the issue and fixed it in 2 hours. Got me right back on the road. Amazing service. Thanks guys, keep up the great work.

My experience was great! I bought my first ever car this weekend. They had a sale going on and the paper work wasn't hard to do or anything.
