Friendly’s Restaurant Review

We came in for a quick Friend-Z, and ordered at the take out window. After sitting and waiting for 25 minutes we were finally adressed and they told us that they had lost our order. After a few more minutes of waiting we finally got our ice cream that was only blended at the top. Disappointing to see such a great establishment slow down!

The food was made sloppy barely enough fries and they messed up my ice cream

Wanted a Fribble. Ordered a Fribble. Waited 40 minutes for Fribble. Got sick of waiting, found the manager and got a refund and left. No Fribble. Employees everywhere doing nothing, eating in the prep area. This place is a hot mess

Waited 45 min for drinks to get to the table, which we should have just left but we stayed to be ignored for the next 20 min. After several complains we got our food, which was cold. My son and myself were supposed to get ice cream with out meals, server took a to go order for him compleatly ignoring me. I was fine I just wanted to get out at this point. His ice cream still hadnt come 15 min after ordering. Seriously how can you not give a 4 year old his ice cream!! The comically young "manager" did NOTHING. We paid our outragous bill and I will never step foot inside another friendlys again!!! I have never been made to feel like I was bothering people like this before. Absolutely disgusting experience.

The only good experience here was the server. Most visits to a Friendlys restaurant is anything but friendly. Usually, you're required to come into the store with you hair on fire to get anyone to pay attention to you and youru party. For cryin' out loud! At least look up and acknowledge the customer coming in the door. A "Friendly " thing to say is "Hi, we'll be right with you." Well, never mind. Friendly restaurants are disappearing at a rapid pace. Shameful because the founder, Curtis and Presley Blake are still around to witness their creation's demise. They're both over 100 years old and will probably outlast the franchise.

bad service, didn't get seated til 5 minutes later no one even saw us . they also charged us for something we didn't order. 2 stars

MEssed up our orders... I had a dirty cup served to me.. And my sandwich waa made with no care(put together sloppy)!!!

I wanted a quick lunch while in the Boston Road area, noticing this Friendly's restaurant next to the Friendly's headquarters I thought to give it a go. I found the service was swift, food was good, and waitress was attentive. If other Friendly's restaurants were on par with this location, I would probably eat at Friendly's more often.

NOT as good as the EIGHTIES+++ NINTIES but still GOOD!!!!

Typical friendlys. They did hold my diaper bag when I forgot it which was very nice.

Burger and fries was cold, the salad was wilted, Friendly's use to be a great place to eat, now they suck, im done with Friendly's

Disappointed, place was not clean,table/chairs sticky, bathroom was disgusting food was ok and waitress was good but complaining about the $$ they dont make. Didn't come to hear the complaints and experience the filth was taking people out for breakfast clearly picked the wrong place unfortunately.

I love friendly's. The best ice cream available in half gallons in the US. I enjoyed going there as a child and now with my children. I'm glad they got back to burgers and ice cream. I wish they had a good veggie burger.

friendlys on boston rd Springfield yesterday was bad. this not tge first time either.they took thier time sitting us and then never came to take our order . people came in after us and we waited on and served before us.we walked out no stars for them very unhappy

Horrible service. Ordered a burger it came ice cold. They made a new one which was good then waited 30 mins for a waitress to take ice cream order then another 20 to get it.

Good service very friendly respectful and you're in and out real quick get your favorite ice cream

The manager who was a young guy would not give me his name after making it difficult when my original ice cream tasted like crap. Then he has an attitude about the whole situation what a punk kid manager who shouldn't even be in management.

Eat breakfast here and sometimes lunch, food has always been good...no problems with substitutions. Most waitresses very good but one or two, but when I get one of the bad ones it sucks...they never check on how your doing or fill your coffee cup. But most waitresses are very good and make it a great experience.

Friendly's Ice Cream was a staple for my family when I was a kid they just don't have all the flavors anymore the menus just not like it used to be but it's still delicious ice cream and I never miss a chance to get me some Friendly Ice Cream

Worked here for a few months and it was one of the worst work experiences I ve ever had. I stayed to myself and all the girls would always attempt to start drama with me or other girls that would also stay to themselves, tried telling the managers they didn t care. There was ALWAYS work drama there. Servers aren t the best they re lazy and sometimes talk horribly about the customers, cooks are bad too always burn the food or send it out cold. I did serving then switched over to hosting because they didn t train me very well she didn t even show me how to use the cashier system. There were always about 2 managers on which I never understood until working there a bit more. Ended up getting less hours and I had to call to see what was going on and they told me I needed to quit?? Honestly not worth the time, there are so many better places to work.

I have to agree with the other reviews in that for the cost, the food looks worse than fast food considering the menu pictures. Everything looks delicious and large on the menu and when it arrives at your table, its a much smaller sad version. Friendly's is a pale version of its former self.

Placed an order online for a salad to grab on the way to work to eat for dinner since i work about 1 minute down the road. Too bad i never got it. I could see it sitting there ready to go when i arrived but after 15 minutes of standing there and no one coming to the register, i had to leave so i wouldnt be late for work. There was only one woman in front of me who had been waiting, too. Pretty annoyed. Pretty hangry. Glad i didnt pay ahead of time

Had a great visit!! Great and surprisingly quick service. I was plesently surprised and will definetly be going back soon!!

Haven't been to Friendlys in years. We decided to stop for icecream and ordered 4 frenzy's. Got home to find there was hardly any icecream or peanut butter cups in the small cup that was about halfway full! We paid $20.00+ for what? Should have just bought a half gallon icecream at grocery store for less $$.

Good place to go food getting smaller ones getting smaller Burgers getting smaller portions getting smaller and ice cream they just do not take pride in at all anymore. I don't understand why if there's corporate headquarters next door if you can't even get a Sunday that you can actually see the ice cream in the silver dish with the face on top if it has one and the whip cream not already melted by the time you get it?
I'm 35 I worked there when I was 16 and I stayed till I was like 18 and I made killer tips but we made our own salads and we made our own milkshakes and we made our own Sundays and you know what? that made all the difference.
I just want to tell the people they are like why don't you guys do something and feel good and hook people up once in awhile?????????????????????
And I'm not referring to giving way too much to customers and taking away from the franchise I'm talking about being honest and doing it the old Friendly's way because I thought that's why you guys don't have rights anymore because you wanted a burger and Fry place well you guys need other things there why don't you have other things that would make it better like breakfast all day with waffles you know? If you're open till 11 o'clock at night you guys would make a killing and you're missing it all and the people that work there take pride in your job if you're going to work at Friendly's in your late twenties and thirties and forties then take pride and get someone to smile once in awhile by giving them what they paid for and what they asked for not a face like that when they see the ice cream they'd been looking forward to but a smile and a thank you and maybe you'd get better tips because I used to clear $100 in tonight at searstown mall easily and I made all my own wraps we did on my tables made their drinks made their milkshakes made their ice creams and made their salads. What are you making because we don't tip really really good for people that don't make good ice cream and just like the last time we were there two weeks ago can you please please make the ice creams to go because we have to get going we have to meet some people and it wasn't for a happy event so we had to take her ice creams to go so we ask them to please put the whipped cream on last and please give us some extra whipped cream do you think we got extra whipped cream? And they could have charged us and they didn't put the man last they put it on First and put it in a cooler or let it sit on the counter and when we got it it was super early and all we did was pay our check and leave as soon as they told us it was ready so I just think you guys should be ashamed of yourselves I love you because all of you are doing it and you know who you are and it's freaking horrible. Put a smile on a kid's face and give them what their parents paid for. And bring back the rice and stop with the whole the big scoop is the same as two scoops of ice cream because it's not and it's getting out of control and the small is extremely small but the medium is too much so why don't you just meet halfway in the middle and make an ice cream the way you used to back in the day and keep the Friendly's name alive because this is pitiful. And I still go to Friendly's all the freaking time

The service (Frankie) was very good but unfortunately, the quality of the food wasn't. I miss the old time Friendly!

Just not as good as I remember it to have been. Restaurant was clean and staff is friendly but the good is just low budget

The manager Charlotte was so rude and just bored me and my family with her family problems. I'm sorry but if I go out to a restaurant with my family it's to enjoy time with my family NOT to hear about how your baby father is a jerk. The staff was however friendlys and the food was great sadly this friendlys needs a better manager Friday nights!

Next door to corporate HQ. Unsurprisingly the food and service is great.

What I like most about this restaurant is the warehouse that I pick up ice cream from that is directly behind it and which is the real reason why I stopped at this at Friendly's restaurant

Excellent Turkey cheddar melt for lunch. Server Sue was awesome, and so was dessert.

Quick for the times. Everyone had a mask and never had to come too close to anyone else.

I was at this very restaurant 2 1/2 years ago and it was really good. Good Lord, by the recent reviews, corp. should look into the personnel.

The food is the world's worse. I'm writing this From the table at friendly's after sending the food back. The reason I stop here from time to time is because of childhood memories. Every time I come here I say to my self,never again. This time I mean it!

Bad service, wrong orders given, rude, rushed for orders as soon as we were seated even though place was empty, and food was cold and old looking. Over priced for service given. Better off somewhere else for about the same prices.

The waitress was really nice, the menus change a lot, less to choose, price was good, the place wasnt that clean

I was dining at friendly at 7:30 with my husband and the food was particularly delicious today. Great taste..loved it.thanks to whoever the cook was.

Out of all the friendlys I have been to this is by far the worst. The food came out fast but the quality was awful

Terrible service. Took us the better part of a half hour just to get seated. Even just ordering 4 sundaes then took close to another half hour and all but one was mostly melted apon receiving them.

Placed an order thru grubhub from this location, and when it arrived it was missing ingredients/sauces. Grubhub, for those that don't know, are useless. I called this location and the manager gave us a credit for the order, allowing us a free remake on our next visit and not requiring us to return our food to receive it.

Many restaurants don't put the customer first these days, and this was a class act. Shoutouts to Raymond and Michelle, the managers that resolved this. I hope corporate rewards them for their customer service, and recommend this location wholeheartedly.
