A hotline is provided on Monday afternoon. I waited less than 10 minutes for my call to be taken. Maxime answered all my questions regarding visas and the marriage certificate transcription request. I am very pleasantly surprised! Thank you.
The passport service can not be reached during opening hours! Can not make an appointment to renew the passport online either. In short, you have to be patient and do not need anything urgent. Would there be a number for urgent requests?
Rude staff, absolutely no help, I have been trying to contact them for weeks. They don't pick up!
Unhappy with many calls, I never managed to reach anyone. The phone rings in a vacuum for long minutes. Inadmissible !!!

Rude staff. Visa rejected and I ask for a reason. She replied I do not have to give you any reason. Spend whole day waiting and paid for this kind of poor service and get nothing. Tried Germany and Dutch embassy and they are all treating people fair and politely. French gov shall fire these guys.
Very poor service since 13 of August that I m calling till 13 of September no one pick up the phone I don t know if someone work at the embassy ive spoke with one lady saying they will contacting me shortly she never did I ve send so many emails over a month no one reply to my emails,

The emergency number does not answer. What is it supposed to do in case of passport theft or identity card? Unacceptable.

Phone service is a hack with automatic hangup. Email with automatic response basically saying they will not reply because surely the website has the answer. Uterly useless.

I was shocked after seeing all these reviews by people on how bad the service is as that you never answer the phone! Does any of you look at these reviews and think that they matter!? This is happing to me right now too. Never answer the phone.

Rubbish, the staff is not friendly at all and the last time i was there after traveling from east anglia, i have been told that even with my consular car which i used to gain access to the consulate, my certificate of nationality , family book and birth certificate and copy of my passport, i was unable to do a french ID card and renew my daughter passport, later on the lady started complaining to her colleague right behind my back that she does not have time for that kind of arguments today. she should have kept her mouth shut because that is her job and for me if she is not happy to do it she can stay home. No politeness, no smile no nothing total rubbish! I am French and I know that French people are know for not wanting to be disturbed for anything coz they cant be bothered and I hate it!

Why do they ask to see travel arrangements when they can't issue visa on time. Anyone please make sure you don't waste your money on hotel when applying at this consulate.

As long as you have all the necessary documents along with being on time for your appointment, everything is quick, simple, stress free, and the staff are all very friendly!

Called in unannounced on a personal matter and, as one would expect of the French, was treated with the utmost 'courtoisie' and respect. Very friendly and helpful staff, security professional but courteous, reception efficient and accommodating, was invited through security with the minimum of fuss and warmly greeted - without prior appointment - by the Premier Conseiller in person and was dealt with swiftly and kindly. A very positive experience. Merci beaucoup et felicitations!

Does not respond to email and even less to the phone.
Doesn't answer mails and it be a miracle if they answer phone calls.
So rude and unprofessional, don't check or read the documents properly and mark it down as missing documents
So frustrating.. I have a situation here and it's quite urgent and every single phone number just never let me talk to a 'REAL PERSON'. It's always an automatic reply. Why on earth the visa embassy does not have a call center?? This is when I hate technology...

Call, waiting such a long time before someone finally picked up the phone: the person at the other end was not aware of anything, was just able to let me know she did have the required information, did not know anything about it.....just a waste of time really.

Fabulous building but they only serve breakfast until 10. After that it s vending machine only. I was expecting more.

Unbelievably rude. Can't believe how an innocent question with good intentions resulted in an extremely insulting reponse. Never have I ever been treated like this before.
Getting an answer on the phone is really though. Anyway, going there you will be informed about a great deal of things. The amount of work they have, anyway, is huge.
The worst, been calling constantly for 4 hours still no answer on the phone. A total embarrassment compared to the french embassy in San Francisco where I lost my passport they got back to me within a few hours and I had it in my hand the next day when it was found. I wish there was an option for 0 stars.
No one answers the phone ever...this is ridiculous!
If I could give less than one star I will.
My mum went there as she was due to go to France, after going there the first time (all the way from Scotland) , she was told to return as the biometrics didn't work. She then had to spend even more money to go down the second time. The day drew nearer and nearer for her trip to France and her visa still hadn't come through - even though they knew which date she was travelling. After calling them up, they couldn't help with the issue. My mum then had to go there of the day of her travel (as she was leaving from London) only to find out her visa still wasn't ready and wont be ready until two days after she was meant to travel. She was only meant to be there for 4 days. So that is all her money down the drain (including travelling to London three times, plus return flight tickets, plus hotel etc) because of useless people who cannot do their job properly. My mum didn't end up going to France and was extremely upset about her lost trip and the time and money she had wasted.
No matter what passport we may hold, we are people too. I'm so sick and tired of people being treated differently due to race or background. It is sickening.
I will be following up this case as I think it is absolutely ridiculous that this has happened.
Philip Cottrell Spain recently attended the French Embassy in Knightsbridge London. His girlfriend is from Paris and she had lost her passport on the train at Waterloo station. The team at the embassy were most helpful and put her mind at rest immediately. I would like to thanks them all for their support.
I would never apply Schengen visa from this rude-staff-gathered place! They are so rude and working like part-time!
