This place was amazing! We went late in the day but wish we had more time. Bring a picnic lunch and sprawl out in between the outdoor sculptures. The Japanese garden was beautiful. Next time we are in Michigan I would love to go back.

This was a pretty nice place to just go and kill some time. There's so much to see and so much to do! I wish it wasn't raining when we went so we could have seen more! The train is nice for older people who can't do much walking but I'd advise skipping it. You actually walk faster and see more in 45 minutes than the pace the train goes.

Just wonderful. Spent over three hours here with my family and only saw half of the place. If you have any interest in plants or nature, this is a must visit! I know I will be returning soon.

Very calming and pleasant. Staff is very helpful. Entrance under construction, makes for a brisk cool walk. So much to see! Looking forward to spring when the outside trails are more accessible.

Absolutely love this place! The workers have a lot of knowledge on the sculptures and exhibits. It is breath taking with many garden scenes. My favorite was the Japanese garden and the second was the sculpture garden. You can ride trams, but I personally would walk to get the full experience! Plus you will miss out on sculptures that are hidden around turns that the tram can't drive to. Advise you to pack a backpack with sandwiches and drinks but they do have a refreshment area and convenient water fountains/bathrooms. Even if you don't have children go to the children's garden! Didn't see it all but what I did was so fun. They have wheel chairs if you want to bring an elder with you as well. Will go again!l

Great place to go all year round. The grounds are beautiful. Summer is great for kids with the outdoor play area offering many fun areas to explore. Spring has butterflies and winter means "Christmas around the world". Several other amazing things to see. Call or visit website for specific events happening as it changes often. Only negative thing is it is costly if you have a large family. $14.50 adults, $11 kids. If your local, I would recommend getting the membership.

Amazing gardens, both indoors and out. A great variety of plants from all climates. They even have carnivorous plants. Lovely sculptures and gardens throughout the property. The children's area was filled with fun facts and things to do. There is a gift shop and restaurant located onsite as well. Handicap accessible parking and entry. Located north of I-96 on Hwy 44 in Grand Rapids.

Had a very unpleasant experience with the ushers at the concert series this evening. She moved chairs without permission of the owners, verbally harassed concert-goers, and generally created a hostile atmosphere in our seating area.

We love the Gardens. So much for little ones to do. Getting the family membership is worth it. It has more than paid for itself! The volunteers are knowledgeable and kind. The entire experience has always been great.

Work Christmas party. Not well lit and the construction made it tricky to figure out where to go. The meat was chewy. The hors d'oeuvres were chewy. The coffee was not even lukewarm and bitter. The wait staff were hard working and I don't blame the food on them. It was like the food was prepared off site and they didn't get it transported properly. The plates were super hot so it wasn't a timing issue, just not properly done.

#frederickmeijergardens is fabulous. Spring, summer, winter or fall, there is always something for the garden, outdoor or lover of natural beauty. It boasts a Japanese garden, a family farm, a tropical garden, manyboutdoor sculptures, desert environment as well as an art gallery and small theater. There is conference space as well and places for indoor and outdoor events. By fall of 2020, there will be a new visitors center and additional amphitheatre space. This is a global gem. It's a Michigan must-see.

Words cannot describe the intoxicating aroma of the conservatory. Or the brilliant botanical spectacles! The employees are great. Very clean and well kept, which is impressive while under construction!
Well done all of you there!!

Frederick Meijers is always a warm and loving place, no matter the time of year. If you're looking for a fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon, make sure you check on them for weekly or monthly updates.
They always have holidays events, and offer fair prices for all of their events. It's a great place to go and make some memories!

Tell me why I signed up for the concert series membership??? Just woke up to look for tickets and everything is already sold out....what the hell? Seriously? Why did I even try to go see a show here? What a mediocre venue run by a backwards team of colossal idiots.

Everything at this place is great. Whether your going to see all of the beautiful plants and flowers, the Fluttery Flutteriest Fluttering Butterfly or a great concert. There is definitely something for all ages to enjoy. Butterfly Exhibit is byfar my favorite.

Always a good trip. The butterflies are always amazing. Next time please paint during the night the fumes were awful and gave a person in our party a migraine headache so badly she had to leave and wait in the car.

The butterfly exhibit was very nice, plenty of butterflies to go around for all. If attending early Saturday afternoon be prepared for extra time to find a parking spot, and line to get in the garden is lengthy but we'll worth the wait.

Nice walk to view sculptures ...and the Japenese gardens. Something for all the family. However if you are going on a weekend to see the butterflies be prepared for a long wait. Also with the renovation in process it can be a long walk from the parking lot to the front entrance.
