Well-planned garden. Entertainment for children and the adults. Scenic beauty of the Japanese garden . Well managed tram service. Helpful employees related to trams. Tasty vegan food at the resturants. Would appretiate more presence of flowers.

If you live in the west Michigan area or are just visiting this Garden and sculpture park is a must see. Apart from all the trails, sculpture, butterflies, and gardens Meijer gardens also offers fun events in the summer like concerts on the lawn and interactive kids areas. They also have a nice restaurant/cafe and gift shop that are worth stopping by. You will need several hours at the park to really see everything and they do offer transportation within the park for those that need it.
Large gardens with a good mix of exhibits, both in the art and plants. Family friendly with a children's garden. Really liked the waterfall and the conservatories.
This place is world-class. Very interesting collection of sculpture, a beautiful (and large) Japanese garden and more. You'd need at least 2.5-3 hours to see the highlights without rushing through it.
This place is great for a family outing. Be prepared to spend anywhere around 3-5 hours. The kids will enjoy running around, playing in the"great lakes", and the long boardwalk. The adults will have their hands full with the kids and all the fun, unique things to see. A must do outdoor activity if you are in Grand Rapids.
I had a blast here because it was something different than the normal stuff we do with the kids. We saw the butterflies for the first time. A big blue one landed on me and I felt that was lucky. The butterflies are really cool and worth seeing for sure.
There's really too many different beautiful sights here to succinctly describe. Highly recommend a membership, as this garden stays open year round and is fantastic in each different season.
Great place to head for a first date-lots to see, stroll around, see the sights. Id recommend going in warm weather so you can experience the grounds outdoors. However, Christmas time brings the Christmas tree exhibits! Great for families too: let those kids run wild outdoors. My daughter loved the trojan horse, but liked running up and down the hills more i think ;)
We love nature and this place is not enough for one day. There is so much beauty to see here. Definitely suggest this place to anyone with kids or if you just love nature. If I lived close enough I would definitely have a membership.
The gardens were amazing it was my first time going and it was for the walk for epilepsy, amazing venue and a great cause I absolutely recomend going to see this if you've never been.
One of my favorite places to visit, and always need at least a few hours to check everything out. Definitely will need to bring a camera and I recommend bringing a little extra cash to take the tour as it is definitely worth it.
Been here a couple of times and have had a good time. The kids love the children's garden and it's a nice outdoor place to spend a weekend. Very popular with wedding pictures as I've seen multiple every time I've visited.
Beautiful gardens, art galleries, and sculpture Park. There is also a kid friendly section for youngsters to play. Our son loved the Great Lakes water display where kids can play in the water. The cafe inside is worth visiting for lunch as well.
Fantastic place. Lots to see all year round, but the outside exibits are better when you are not risking frostbite. Different artist are featured frequently, and the quality is excellent. The butterflies are a welcome spring tradition after the long winter.
Love the outside paths, conservatory, flowers, summer concerts, butterflies, christmas time...yep just about everything oh, and the food is amazing also.
I enjoyed the garden but I went on a day that was super and hot humid. There weren't many places for shade/relief in the structure part of the park I thought. Also, apart from the title and artist, I would've liked to have seen a little something about the inspiration behind each piece and maybe how long it took to create or such...even if there was a QR code that you could scan on the map or near the structure to connect you to more information about each installation.
Absolutely beautiful! I love the gardens, the art exhibits and events. Had my daughters wedding here. It turned out wonderful and the staff went out of their way to make everything perfect!
Facility was nice, however is not picnic friendly on a rainy day. We were directed to a "nice" indoor picnic area which was really an indoor basement room with no windows. In my opinion new carpet does not make a room "nice" when the rest of the facility is so beautiful.
It's huge: a sprawling sculpture park, an incredible Japanese garden, an idyllic Midwestern farm, a forest path and a wetlands boardwalk. You could spend all day and that's just the stuff outside!
Amazing museum's amazing masterpieces and beautiful eye catching garden with tons of sculptures describes its beauty. The interior and lighting of the museum is just adequate with black ceilings where needed to avoid reflection. Totally recommended this museum to all art lovers.
You must check out the Leonardo de Vinci's horse to capture an Instagram worthy shot (its located in the garden). The beautiful garden has something for everyone including children's garden for your little ones. The peaceful Japanese garden can give you the peace you are looking for along with many soothing aromas to fill your nostrils.
Water Fountains are located everywhere to help you stay hydrated even in the hottest summer days as the garden does involve lots of walking.
The place was not to crowded (we went in afternoon on Friday). The prices are totally reasonable and ranged from $6-$15. If you are a student, bring your ID to get discount.
Conclusion: the art masterpieces and the type of atmosphere this place offers, its totally worth a visit.
The gardens are gorgeous, but the butterflies are the best part of this place. Try not to go when it's crazy hot out as there isn't a lot of shade. I'll definitely go again!
Beautiful place all around. Tropical conservatory is absolutely beautiful and the outdoor sculpture garden is an amazing place to explore. We spent about 3 hours walking around and didn't get to explore the whole place. Bring your camera!
I have a membership and I'm 18! It amazing for all ages and interests. Plus, the pokemon scene is fantastic. If you are a lover of nature and/or art, this place is for you!
Anyone who lives in GR knows how wonderful this place is. Fred and Lena Meijer's vision has been realized and it is an accessable , incredible enhancement to our community
Awesome place to experience art, nature and music all blended together in a pleasant medley. Being able to purchase some items created by the featured artists in the gift shop is nice. We enjoyed the special Day lilly exhibit. The live bee hive / honey program at the farm location was really great. A plus is wheelchairs available at no added cost.
Super nice staff, mostly, there's always that one but he was an old man so I don't mind as much. We got there 20 min to close and they still let us come see the beautiful butterflies! Gorgeous! Thx guys.
We recently attended a wedding here which was very beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Very beautiful atmosphere. Tons of hiking trails with beautiful sculptures throughout the park. We really enjoyed the butterfly exhibit and the cactus greenhouse. I give it five stars and highly recommend going to check it out.
Wonder place to see many well preserved botanical gardens. Quiet a diverse assortment of art to include sculptures of all sizes and shapes. There are trams to use if you wish, I prefer to saunter.
