A lot of construction going on right now but I really love this place!

Christmas is wonderful here. I so love this place. Admission is higher but worth it
World class gardeners and landscaping, we are lucky to have this place in Grand Rapids.
Great place for walking around. The map makes the place seem bigger than it actually is.
Not many plants outside of the habitats are labeled, so you might be disappointed if you wanted to identify things.
A lot of the sculptures are really cool, but not much information is provided about the artwork. For example they have a Grand Rapids Arch, which looks cool, but also looks totally out of place with no explanation of the arch at all.
Overall, great place for a nice walk through nature.
Amazing place for kids and to enjoy the time during the year but a little bit expensive
Spring butterfly event is always a hit with my daughter.
The grounds here are quite beautiful. Tulip Time is especially amazing here with all the colors and buding trees.
The tram was sold out but we weren't informed of that until we'd paid and walked to the area to get our tickets. The heat and humidity were oppressive in late afternoon and being disabled there was no way I could've walked the gardens in those conditions. Very disappointing but they did refund our money for the inconvenience. That was extremely kind of them.
Spectacular. Amazing. Inspirational. Exceptional. Far and away, the most incredible collection of sculpture I have seen in one location. One of the 10 best places I have visited in my lifetime. I wish I had gone on the first day I was in town. I would have gone back every day. I spent 2.5 hours and felt like I was racing through. I didn't even see everything. You have to go. You cannot leave without feeling moved by the beauty of at least one piece. I am in awe.
One of the top attractions in Grand Rapids. Huge 158 acre plot with massive sculptures, indoor greenhouses, Japanese garden, amphitheater. Bring some walking shoes and give yourself some time, because you likely won t see everything in 1 day
Beautiful gardens, great place for a concert, a wedding, just looking around.
I went on a Monday and had the sculpture garden to myself, it was so peaceful to walk the grounds despite the cold. I loved warming up at the gardens and wondering at the genius at the art gallery
The one place you must visit in Grand Rapids on a trip! Even in the winter when the gardens are not as lively, the huge range of fascinating sculptures and the landscaping of the Japanese Gardens make for an impressive visit. Worth re-visiting in a different season. You could easily spend 3-4 hours here.
The butterflies were magical and enjoyed seeing the sculptures. Can't wait to come back after the gardens have bloomed.
Beautiful and serene surroundings with exceptional staffing. Went through the butterfly exhibit and Japanese Garden. Excellently executed. If you only knew the amount of work and regulations that this botanical garden enacts you'd be additionally amazed. Beauty abounds all year long! Not to be missed! Concerts too!
I had a awesome time with my sister... We u enjoyed the butterflys..
Beautiful gardens, great attention to detail, clean and friendly staff.
It was nice I went on a school trip and it was just great the scenery
Beautiful gardens and art exhibits! The Japanese garden is my favorite part. Such a cool experience!
Like plants= love this place! Concerts should not be missed!
Outstanding place for kids and adults. Any time we have visitors from out of town we take them here.
Amazing place for a relaxing walk and a lovely date.
Amazing place to visit on a Sunday. Beautiful art exhibits outside as well as a fantastic place to eat. Wish they gave a veterans discount instead of just students and seniors. That's the only reason it gets a four instead of a five.
I really enjoy our membership there at Meijer Gardens
One of my favorite places in the world--its an absolute treasure. I grew up with the Meijer Gardens and still find new angles and insight for the timeless sculpture and setting they've curated (and continue to grow) over the last decades. The new Japanese Garden really elevates their natural setting to the world class sculpture.
Really cool place to spend the day with my teenage daughter taking pictures and enjoying each other's company.
If you love natural beauty and art, you really need to visit this amazingly large and beautiful place. We love it. The Butterfly exhibit, Orchid and Dahlia shows are not to be missed! Way too much offered to list! Affordable yearly membership.
Wow there are a lot of plants here. You should definitly go here if you like plants because there sure are a lot of plants here.
Elvis Costello rocked the gardens... What a gorgeous place and a perfect night
August 2020-Coming from Illinois with the Chicago Botanical Gardens, Morton Arboretum, and Brookfield Zoo etc. I did not have any expectations that this garden would be on par with those Chicago establishments. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this garden rose above even the strongest expectations that I could have had. Entrance fee was reasonable. Bathrooms were very clean, Covid spacing/masks were all being followed. All of the employees were kind, helpful, and really showed us how to make the most of our first visit. The art exhibit this year literally made my emotions run the gamut...I did not expect that but excellent art does has a way of moving me. Also, I have a bum leg/ankle and all paths in this place were very handicapped friendly and I was able to navigate the entire park. This was an A+ experience and I will return when we come back to MI! I love the people & places in Michigan. You ROCK!
I enjoyed walking through the Gardens and the butterfly exhibit. The views are absolutely exquisite and breathtaking.
We love coming here and actually had our wedding at Meijer Gardens in the Victorian Gardens. I would recommend a visit here to everyone, no matter the age. There is definitely something for everyone.
Great place, awesome gardens with a mind blowing variety of native and foreign plants.
Love to come and walk. The kids love walking to and are super tired and happy after a long day exploring the gardens.
I love going here during the holiday season. The trees are always so beautiful. I love the way they include all the other cultures and their traditions.
Unfortunately, I still cannot justify the price for what is offered. They have a great education program for kids... but I'm not a huge fan of paying to walk around and looking at a sculpture park. Perhaps if I make it to the butterfly exhibit it will change my opinion.
Totally love the new Japanese Gardens ! I really also enjoyed the kids garden area outside, would totally recommend.
Amazing!! Check out their website for fun activities for families, young kids, older kids, first dates, concerts, you name it!!! I love going here to spend a whole day or even just the afternoon.
There are several different areas within the park itself including (but definitely not limited to) an indoor exhibit on a featured artist, desert garden, tropical garden, children's garden, the outdoor sculpture garden, farm garden, japenese garden, boardwalk and ampitheater!
Great place ! Beautiful gardens and sculptures, my favorite garden is Japan. Excellent!
Have had a membership for 3 years or so and it's amazing. Most all of the art exhibits are a lot of fun visually and set up very nice. The butterflies are awesome!!
Love Frederick Mejer Gardens! This place is beautiful! You can find art, nature and entertainment for people of all ages. I favorite was the Japanese Garden...I did not wanted to from there. I enjoyed so much and took many pictures and videos. Thanks Grand Rapids and Maijer family.
This is a great place to go with a wide range of age groups and interests.
Have gone there for several concerts. A fantastic outdoor venue. It can be crowded. Recommend that you tailgate in line to get choice spot. First come first serve.
Absolutely loved it. We came from Detroit to see it and even though it was gloomy day, it was still amazing and will definitely be back for more!
Beautiful place. Indoors and out. A must see when in Grand Rapids.
Great variety. It's a long way around. Take water and wear comfortable shoes.
Visited for the first time for a field trip. It was great! Something for everyone!
The sculpture park is awesome and the Japanese garden is also really pretty. It s like stepping into another world. Highly recommend a visit for these two things in particular. The botanical garden is also really cool.
Affordable family friendly sculpture park and gardens.
Became a member here this year and love it. Probably one of the best investments ever.
Grand rapids is blessed to have such a dedicated nature, art, and music venue with such generous donors (woo WMSC!) However the system for selling tickets for concerts is severely flawed. All of the tickets for the season shouldn't go on sale at once... that's laying a welcome mat down for ticket scalpers. We logged on with a Member account within 15-20 minutes of the member pre-sale starting, and we were unable to get tickets for the show we've been dying to see (of monsters and men)... I would've been willing to pay $80 a piece for two tickets, but I had no way to :(
Enjoyed the holiday trees from all over the world. The Womb was an amazing piece of art.
The butterfly exhibit alone is worth the price I'd a family pass. We are headed to the rose garden tomorrow.
Beautiful gardens and sculptures especially the Japanese garden. You can walk the grounds or take the tram.
Love the butterflies. The gardens will be beautiful in a month or so.
Butterfly garden was outstanding today. Butterflys very active, lots of flowers and feeding stations to observe them
Great place to spend during the first days of spring.
