Great place to explore, get all your daily steps in. The butterfly exhibit is a favorite but only available until April 30th. The gardens are beautiful, sculptures and outdoor areas are great. Good place for a nice long moving date, lots to see and discuss. Great areas for the kids as well.

Good place to take the family. Enjoy the sculpture park. Good trails that are well maintained. March & April can see the butterfly area. Best I've been to. Recommend a visit to it all!

My first experience at this wonderful institution, but most certainly not the last! It was a long drive, but well worth making a day out of it. Come early; otherwise, the lines will be long! A lot of people brought their children, and there was even an area specifically for them. The cafeteria area had good food and (most importantly) coffee--I think I had 3 or so flavors to choose from. The butterflies were, of course, one of the most popular attractions; a must see.

I went to Meijer Gardens specifically to see the DaVinci Horse. We walked through all the garden exhibits saving the Horse for last. The statuary was eclectic ranging from traditional to modern abstract. I absolutely loved all the various water features including running water falls and ponds throughout the garden. The Japanese Garden was my very favorite garden venue including the raked sand garden which I enjoyed immensely. A lot of construction underway for the new indoor venue which promises to be spectacular when completed. A wonderful venue for anyone who enjoys landscaping, gardening, or art.

The new Japanese Garden is a must! I've lived in GR for most of my life. If you are looking for a way to learn more about nature, view beautiful scenery and art, and enjoy the weather come to Fredrick Meijer Gardens. It is fairly inexpensive for the amount of time spent here and the relaxed feeling you have afterward.

Frederick meijer gardens is a great family destination! the artworks on display is fascinating! The Japanese garden is just lovely. They also have different amazing exotic plants on display inside of their terrarium.
You can walk or ride on the tram to view the beautiful grounds. They have countless gorgeous trees and flowers on the grounds so it changes almost daily.a must see!

I love this place for a great day out, definitely somewhere to go during the warmer months so you can get out and enjoy the sculptures and foliage, but still great in the wonter. The exhibits change often enough so there is always something More

The Frederick Meijer gardens are very unique and well kept. The volunteer staff is very friendly and informative. However, there has not been many updates as the years have gone by. The biggest attraction is always the butterfly exhibit. This never gets old. However, there is nothing else besides the outdoor sculptures. Depending on what time of the year you go, can greatly affect your experience here.

Wonderful to have this in Grand Rapids backyard!! We splurged this year and got the membership so we could take our daughter and grandson to the butterflies a few times but of course they closed due to the pandemic. Worth the trip but wish this was more affordable for the lower income families in our area.

They are currently doing construction on all of their parking lots so you have to park by the outdoor auditorium and walk to the main entrance. Don't go if you have wheelchairs as the "path" they have is NOT safe and Not accessible, it's a muddy trail with pieces of wooden board to go over the construction holes.

We go here often with our children; It's beyond beautiful. Our children enjoy wondering the trails, seeing the artwork, and love the Treehouse playground. We recently did the Kids Tram Ride; So much fun (Highly recommend). My husband and I attend many concerts at their venue; We both agree, it one of the best venues around!
