Great sculpture park and garden. I really enjoyed...

A very nice place to visit with kids. Everyone can enjoy nature. Butterfly festival is worth seeing.
Great place! Very well maintained, with a great cafe, & helpful staff. Worth every penny!
Great place to explore, get all your daily steps in. The butterfly exhibit is a favorite but only available until April 30th. The gardens are beautiful, sculptures and outdoor areas are great. Good place for a nice long moving date, lots to see and discuss. Great areas for the kids as well.
Very cool place. You may have to wait in line, but it s worth it for the butterflies.
The butterflies were beautiful. There are multiple exhibits, all very interesting.
It was an Amazing setup even though it was cold walked the gardens Amazing indoors with quail in an enclosure
Beautiful gardens. Worth a trip, definitely try going at less busy times. Butterflies are awesome
Good place to take the family. Enjoy the sculpture park. Good trails that are well maintained. March & April can see the butterfly area. Best I've been to. Recommend a visit to it all!
Beautiful gardens and great place to spend the day if you are looking to just relax and take in the scenery.
We love the gardens here! Such a beautiful place and so much fun in the children's area!
Great place, great art, fun events throughout the year.
Beautiful gardens and art. Indoor and outdoor, plenty for everyone.
This is an OK party to see sculptures in a garden setting; however, the Japanese gardens were disappointing as it was all greenery.
My first experience at this wonderful institution, but most certainly not the last! It was a long drive, but well worth making a day out of it. Come early; otherwise, the lines will be long! A lot of people brought their children, and there was even an area specifically for them. The cafeteria area had good food and (most importantly) coffee--I think I had 3 or so flavors to choose from. The butterflies were, of course, one of the most popular attractions; a must see.
Confusing, frustrating layout, not allowed to step on the lawn, trail only. Needs improvement.
Amazing place for a few hours of fun or a whole day. Beautiful greenhouse, amazing sculptures and rotating art exhibits. Always somthing new to do!
I went to Meijer Gardens specifically to see the DaVinci Horse. We walked through all the garden exhibits saving the Horse for last. The statuary was eclectic ranging from traditional to modern abstract. I absolutely loved all the various water features including running water falls and ponds throughout the garden. The Japanese Garden was my very favorite garden venue including the raked sand garden which I enjoyed immensely. A lot of construction underway for the new indoor venue which promises to be spectacular when completed. A wonderful venue for anyone who enjoys landscaping, gardening, or art.
Their summer concert series is the highlight of our summer.
What an amazing place to see and experience between the plants and flowers and landscaping to the amazing artwork around the grounds.
The new Japanese Garden is a must! I've lived in GR for most of my life. If you are looking for a way to learn more about nature, view beautiful scenery and art, and enjoy the weather come to Fredrick Meijer Gardens. It is fairly inexpensive for the amount of time spent here and the relaxed feeling you have afterward.
Absolutely beautiful. Attended a wedding reception here and it was a great time.
Pretty great place for so many reasons. Fun for kids!
Love this spot. So much fun for the whole family. Great concerts.
This place is amazing! There is so much to see and do that we only saw half if it! We had a lovely time, my husband and I just love all different sorts of plants!
Nice, clean and the most beautiful garden i 've ever seen !
Just a breathtaking place for any event or even just to explore and enjoy nature. Highly encourage anyone in the area to visit.
To escape, and enjoy beautiful sculpture in an amazing setting!
This was a nice escape during the cold. I especially enjoyed the butterfly exhibit.
Just go there if you haven't already. It's a bit of a walk if you wanna see everything, but it's so worth it.
Good place for a walk. Japanese garden is amazing! A must visit.
Frederick meijer gardens is a great family destination! the artworks on display is fascinating! The Japanese garden is just lovely. They also have different amazing exotic plants on display inside of their terrarium.
You can walk or ride on the tram to view the beautiful grounds. They have countless gorgeous trees and flowers on the grounds so it changes almost daily.a must see!
I love this place for a great day out, definitely somewhere to go during the warmer months so you can get out and enjoy the sculptures and foliage, but still great in the wonter. The exhibits change often enough so there is always something More
Lots to see, nice friendly place, but admission is a bit pricy.
The gardens are beautiful personally the abstract sculptures do nothing for me
Beautiful place to visit but prices are to high for the poor to visit.
The Frederick Meijer gardens are very unique and well kept. The volunteer staff is very friendly and informative. However, there has not been many updates as the years have gone by. The biggest attraction is always the butterfly exhibit. This never gets old. However, there is nothing else besides the outdoor sculptures. Depending on what time of the year you go, can greatly affect your experience here.
This is a classy place to visit, worth the entrance fee, check it out!
Great place and very great place for grandchildren.
You must check out the gardens & sculptures here. Absolutely beautiful even on a partially rainy day. The staff are outstanding and knowledgeable.
I've always loved coming here, but the new Japanese garden is simply stunning. Really looking forward to seeing it in the Spring.
May 1 and not much in bloom. Heavy construction made it noisy and dusty. The butterflies were nice, but overall the place seemed very "clinical".
Wonderful experience with my granddaughters. Been going every year since 1999. It has become a family tradition. Love the butterflies!
Wonderful to have this in Grand Rapids backyard!! We splurged this year and got the membership so we could take our daughter and grandson to the butterflies a few times but of course they closed due to the pandemic. Worth the trip but wish this was more affordable for the lower income families in our area.
Place is awesome lots of stuff to learn about plants insects and nature and fun for kids and adults alike!
They are currently doing construction on all of their parking lots so you have to park by the outdoor auditorium and walk to the main entrance. Don't go if you have wheelchairs as the "path" they have is NOT safe and Not accessible, it's a muddy trail with pieces of wooden board to go over the construction holes.
Loved it! The plants were amazing and so many varieties from all around the world. Tons of fun for every age. So much to see. Make sure to bring food and drinks though, the prices are to die for.
Just Beautiful all kinds of nationality Christmas trees they have tropical area all kinds of trees like banana flowers etc.
You should expect to spend at leave half the day. There is so much to see!
We go here often with our children; It's beyond beautiful. Our children enjoy wondering the trails, seeing the artwork, and love the Treehouse playground. We recently did the Kids Tram Ride; So much fun (Highly recommend). My husband and I attend many concerts at their venue; We both agree, it one of the best venues around!
Near, but under a lot of construction... Look forward to seeing it when it's all finished
One of the best Gardens in the US. Have to see it to really appreciate what it offers...even if you're not a nature lover.
Very well done. Lots of things to view and places to walk.
I absolutely love this place. The girl and I visit alot for a peaceful walk through the gardens. The Japanese garden is a must do.
My favorite place in Grand Rapids! The Japanese Tea Garden is beautiful!
My grandson was married here :) Beautiful place to go through..
Items from all over the world..
GARDENS ARE BREATH TAKING
Very beautiful scenery and sculptures! Highly recommend!
This place is amazing! You should plan to be here several hours if you want to see everything. Definitely a place to visit multiple time.
Really cool. Loved the Christmas trees decorated in traditional, country specific ornaments.
