This is always a good family fun and educational place. One place I will always being my kids if asked. They also have great adult times like the concerts in the summer. We love it here.

Beautiful garden to go to with diverse garden spaces. Only issue is the higher price for admission, which could be lowered due to the fact that other nature preserves in the area are free to a couple of dollars.

This is an exceptional experience in Grand Rapids Michigan!! They have art and nature masterpieces. The butterfly exhibit runs from March 1-April 30. 7,000 butterflies with 60 different species. I had a black sweater with yellow and a butterfly landed on me-pretty cool! Easy off and on expressway & fair prices.

Very pretty park especially with the statues and well worth the entry fee. As I understand they also get new exhibits from time to time also and they were under construction. Just a fair warning you have no less than 3 miles of walking if you don't want to pay for the tram. I'm putting them at 4 stars because though I appreciated the place and had a nice afternoon it wasn't astounding. Btw this place is good for kids

One of the most beautiful place created by human I've ever seen. You started in gardens of rear and unique plants, there are real tropical climate indoors. Then you proceed outside where you can face spellbinding lakes, waterfalls, plants and sculptures . Everything is so nice, all infrastructure is perfect - restrooms, drinking water, big parking and so on. Relatively chip entering prices, as for 2019 It's only 14.50$ for adult, discounts for children, students and seniors. I recommend this place for everyone who wants to feel aesthetic satisfaction.

I had my first date with my husband here. I love this place. There's always something beautiful to see here. A large nature sanctuary including both indoor and outdoor gardens, and artwork. Wide paved paths are well maintained and kept clear, even in winter. There are live concerts held here as well.

My kids love this place. If you're from the area a membership really is the best way to go. There's always something to see year round. From butterflies in the spring to Christmas traditions from around the world in the winter you won't be disappointed.

Definitely one of the must visit places in Grand Rapids. This place is stunning, and you likely won t be able to see it all in one day. Spend an afternoon walking through the gardens or checking out the sculptures, it s quite an enjoyable place.

The new Japanese garden is an excellent addition to an already great place. Wandering the gardens on a summer Tuesday evening and finishing at the amphitheater for a few hours of live music can make your whole week.

Always lifts my spirits to visit the beautiful gardens, sculptures, and art displays. We went for a lecture by David Culp that was fantastic and chocked full of dreamy ideas for layering a garden to achieve interest and color in every season. The summer concerts are also full of good energy, and some of the best artists in a green venue.

Had a great day..weather wise to visit. .very busy, lots of people there to see the butterfly exhibit.
Long line to wind around and wait to get admission tickets, and then to get in the conservatory. .but went pretty quickly..many varieties of cactus plants, and then in the next room was beautiful colorful flowers. .even some with tiny butterfly larvae in the leaves , fun for kids to spot. .nice nature, walk, kids had fun things to do in the children's area..very enjoyable day..clean restrooms, and benches to sit..if you make it all around the nature walk you are rewarded with 2 fantastic waterfalls and peaceful area to just relax.

They've been expanding the list of attractions, since my last visit over 10 years ago. We only had a couple hours until closing time, so were a bit rushed. Next time I'd like to take at least a half-day. There's a lot to see; if you want to enjoy it, allow enough time for the experience. The Japanese Garden was excellent!

Why are the views from the tram blocked by over grown branches and tram paths not trimmed so that walking passengers can pass safely. There is not enough cleared paths on the sides when the tram and passengers are on the path. This is a danger to passengers especially with children in strollers and wheelchairs. Also there are many branches overhanging that enter the tram and can cause riders eye injury at some points. Please trim branches and make more clearance to prevent any injuries. Some railings need to be painted due to rust and look unkept.

Over rated and over priced!! I wasn't impressed with the conservatory. It's to small and needs to be expanded. Other cities have a bigger one and more things to see... The butterflys are blooming is rip;off!!!

My wife and I never thought we would spend so much time at someplace to enjoy everything it has to offer. Give yourself at least 4 hours to really enjoy it. If you want to do just EITHER the Japanese garden or sculpture park, then just allow for 2 hours per area. Conservatory and guest art area is nice. The kids area is so large it could be its own park compared to some places, but as an adult you can skip it unless you are a kid at heart. I'd leave it for the end if you have extra time to burn. This place is well worth the admission!
