The four seasons in Bali will spoil other hotels for you. It's probably the best example of service I've ever seen.

Set in a beautiful gorge with the river beneath it, beautifully maintained gardens it's probably the most enjoyable time I'll ever spend in a hotel

It was actually a relaxing stay at Pool Villa, with a confortable outdoor furnitures. Staffs are all friendly and well trained. The only two things I feel slightly unsartisfied with are: 1) A la carte breakfast: We expected variety of buffet style of breakfast just like the one we enjoyed at Four Seasons Chaing Mai. 2) No information/letter was provided from Hotel about the renovation of a part of resort. I felt slight unconfortable by the noise of renovation. All others are perfect, quite recommendable!

The rooms are well located and the hotel is unique in its location. The various levels accentuate differing aspects of the local surroundings.

Four seasons in the forest on the banks of Ayun Valley in Ubud. The villa also has a private pool and the view of the forest from the room is good, the best location. Perfect for those who want to stay calm and calm. There are also cooking classes and events such as cycling in the hall, and you will not get bored.

Great Hotel, very good service. Talked to the General Manager who is a very nice person and knew my name before I even talked to him which I found very attentive. We received an upgrade for our one night stay and it was one of the best things that ever happened to me :)

Incredible, it is quite expensive but you will definitely enjoy it

The private pool in our 1-bed villa was absolutely stunning, my wife and I both enjoyed spending the day here and feeling very 'zen', listening to the relaxing river sounds. Fantastic room service menu with prompt delivery. My wife also enjoyed the yoga.

We dropped in to the Four Seasons one evening for cocktails. Despite us not being guests of the hotel; all the staff were friendly, welcoming and did everything to make our visit special. It goes without saying that the drinks were superb, my "hot lips" cocktail was served in a cauldron of dry ice and the accompanying snacks were tasty and plentiful (and free!). Well worth a stop off if you are in the area and fancy a little luxury.

The amenities are great and the scenery is incredible at this hotel. We stayed in a villa facing the forest with a private pool for our honeymoon. However, the best part is definitely the staff. Everyone is so attentive and friendly - the best service I have ever received. In particular, Joni (head chef) and Nata from the cooking class were superb. Top notch hotel. 100% would recommend to friends and family. This is rare as I usually only write negative reviews.

We had the most incredible lunch here in the Riverside Restaurant. From the impeccable service, beautiful environment and outstanding food it all added up to perfection! In particular the zucchini carpaccio was superb as was the tagliatelle.

Amazing property and probably one of my favorite Four Seasons. Great for honeymooners and families. Add this to your bucket list!

Bali is cool ... just relax here, never forget the memories here, it is very impressive ... it's really recommended ... the most exciting jogging in the morning along the rice terraces at the back of the resort ..

Loved the surroundings but service very slow in restaurant. It took 15 minutes just to get water and after asking for it 4 times. The restaurant was half empty and it was during a very hot day, so one of us was quite sick. Also drinks order when it arrived was wrong. Service staff unable to give food recommendations, saying everything is good . Not what you d expect at this price in Bali

I chose to stay at the Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan for 2D1N in the context of a short escape while celebrating my birthday with 2 friends.

Starting from the second I set foot in the lobby, I was warmly welcomed by the staff. Apart from that, I was also greeted by the architectural beauty of the front lobby in the form of a fantastic wooden bridge and at the end of the bridge there is an amazing Lotus Pond, supported by the beautiful natural scenery of Ubud, making anyone who arrives will feel a peaceful & calming atmosphere.

Arriving at the main lobby, my colleagues & I were warmly welcomed and served by staff who were professional in their fields, very helpful & informative. I was explained in detail what activities I can do during my stay, such as yoga schedules, spas, and so on. This resort is traversed by the Ayung River which is famous for its beauty & currents which are suitable for rafting activities where these activities are also provided by the Resort. The vast area of the Resort is supported by a buggy car that is ready to take you anywhere in the Resort area. In addition, there is also a shuttle car service that is ready to take Resort guests to the center of Ubud, for free.

I stayed in a Villa type room, complete with a private pool. There is only 1 word to describe my stay: Perfect! As a luxury hotel chain on an international scale, the comfort, cleanliness, serenity, and services provided are very outstanding! What amazed me was when I got a complimentary birthday cake & sparkling wine that was given to complement my birthday celebration, for free. Extraordinary!

I highly recommend this Resort to anyone who wants an extraordinary & unforgettable stay while in Ubud.

Don't want to leave here it's beautiful and the service is amazing!

Really excellent service. Everyone is always smiling, waves and says hello to you. The spa service is expensive but worth the money. The rooms are great, room service was fast, and the food was delicious. The morning breakfast is also very nice with lots of choices. Would come back to Bali again just to stay here longer.

Just a nice hotel in Ubud

As a reasonable hotel that feels like Bali in the Ubud area, I think "Maya Ubud" or not, but this has a feeling of high-class urban and there are various programs, and it is boring even if it is not from the hotel not. Of course, rates are higher, but in terms of food, hygiene, and activities, this is not a staple in the Ubud area.

1st star lost First time I get refused a glass of water in a restaurant..

I ordered my food and drink, and as I was coughing badly, I asked: "Please, could you bring me a glass of water too?".

Then, I got kindly offered to choose between a $6 small bottle or a $10 large bottle of water. Never saw that before.

I know it sounds like a detail for most of those who will read this review, but being refused a simple glass of water in a place where I am going to spend $50+ for a lunch usually gives me the worst first impression.

The reason they gave me when I insisted a bit was: "It's because the tap water isn't drinkable." Never heard such an excuse after 2 years living in Bali and eating in the simplest warung to the fanciest restaurants.

Besides that, they offered to bring me twice free crackers, which cost more than a simple glass of water...

2nd star lost Quality of the food.

I ordered the beef rendang and was really excited as this is one of my favorite Indonesian food.

But what is traditionally supposed to be sirloin/ribs type of meat served with a sort of dry curry came in my plate as fatty beef chick with way too much sauce to be called a rendang.

And the flavor was far from the complexe and tasty aromates of beef rendang.

When the chef came to talk to me and I mentioned, he simply replied that those was the standards of Four Seasons, and apologized.

-- Side story --

I called them before coming and explained I wanted to review the place on my personal Instagram (@thomasdespin) and on Google.

I asked if I would be allowed to fly my drone to shoot the beautiful Lotus Pond they have as a rooftop in the entrance.

They to me that we could talk about it when I arrive, which turned out in a single sided talk from the staff not even asking me any details and saying flying drones was forbidden for outsiders and guests.

After hanging out and asking different manager, I actually learnt that there is a service to contact for this that gives the permissions to fly it or not.

Seems pretty hard to get accurate informations even from managers for such a high standard Resort Brand.

CONCLUSION

Please, do NOT refrain yourself from going there. The place itself is gorgeous even if it looks fairly old now.

The staff is welcoming and even though itms hard to communicate properly with some of them (I had so speak Bahasa Indonesia at some point to facilitate the communication), they are really doing their best to provide the best experience to the guests.

If you go there to enjoy the restaurant, I obviously don't recommend the Beef Rendang, but please note that you will also have free access to their swimming pool.

As from my experience, I feel that the place is slightly hyped and overrated, but I will assume I had an isolate case of average experience there.

The place is still totally worth visiting and you will mostly have a great experience there.

The four-star and four-star Ritz Carlton hotels have become very strict security since Bali terrorism.
There is an atmosphere that is difficult to enter except for guests, but you can enjoy the atmosphere casually, such as lunch and afternoon tea.
The view from Layan terrace is the best. Also the food is very beautiful and excellent. The price is also quite beautiful-w
But I thought that it would be unconvincing to pay for the view, the atmosphere, and the service.
You can order not only the course but also drinks and mains alone. Chicken, beef and prawn are the main choices. The recommendation was beef. There are many Hindus in Bali? I thought, but the Ajinoi was wonderful.

A hotel that is likely to appear in Jurassic Park. It's a high quality hotel with an environment that doesn't encounter insects in spite of that environment.

Absolutely one of the most beautiful experiences ever. The river and jungle surrounding the property, amazing! The grounds are manicured daily. Service and food outstanding. The staff was attentive and professional. Loved everything about this resort.
