Absolutely fabulous hotel. Would give 7 stars!! Amazing place with an energy that is hard to describe. Very romantic too, my partner and I felt super connected in this place. We enjoyed our villa by the river and also the wonderful spa.

What bought me to four seasons? I don t usually do big tourism brands. But I don t regret it. Four seasons Bali runs very harmoniously with the environment it is in and still feels very authentic. Spa is other-worldly.

Got the villa with private pool and it was just awesome. You can t go wrong with the Four seasons. However, pool was full of leaves upon check in and stayed that way until we left. Also the a la carte breakfast was not what we expected after having stayed in the one at Jimbaran where the breakfast buffet is amazing. Hence the 4 star rating.
And to respond to the operations manager s comment, yes it is in the middle of the forest but you need to ensure that the pool is clean at the time of check in at least or find a solution to protect it from flooding with leaves.

This hotel is outstanding in every regard. From the stunning setting overlooking the incredible jungle and river below to a level of service that we have never before experienced anywhere in the world. The team at The Four Season's Sayan seem to anticipate your every requirement. This was the first stop off in Bali on our honeymoon and as well as outstanding food, levels of service and incredible room's. The team at the hotel made every arrangement for us including on site Yoga, Balinese cooking class , private rafting and also brought us to all the top local attractions and that includes , Tirta Water Temple where we took part in the water blessing and also a coffee plantation, rice terraces and stunning Waterfall. Thank you to all the team at The Four Season's for making this the most special time for us both.

Stayed here for four nights in January (monsoon season) for our honeymoon in a riverside villa. I can very much say that this was the best hotel or resort I have ever stayed in. The rooms are very well designed and equipped, the grounds are meticulously maintained and the service is first class and what you would expect from a Four Seasons property. There are only roughly 60 rooms and villas on site, so the overall feel throughout the stay is very exclusive with the staff remembering your name.

The villas are dispersed throughout the active rice patties and gardens of the resort. A free buggy (i.e. golf cart) service is provided between your villa and all parts of the resort on demand. Additionally, there is a free shuttle to Ubud center every two hours from 9AM to 5PM. Each villa is equipped with a private pool, outdoor terrace, outdoor shower and any amenity you may need is provided through the concierge service. Special thanks to Dewa at the front desk who helped us out throughout our stay with exceptional service. Each villa is also designed with specific sight lines to provide complete privacy between you and any adjacent villas. While the villa did not feel overly dated by any means, some upgrades to things like electronic door locks would enhance the experience.

We booked an airport transfer to the resort, and our arrival was almost choreographed down to the second. Our driver phoned into the reception desk upon our arrival and we were greeted by staff who welcomed us and seamlessly took our bags. Brought down the lobby, we were offered a welcome drink and cold towel, and were checked in. Next we were put on a waiting buggy and driven down to the villa. The staff gave us a tour of the villa, and two waiters entered to provide a free bottle of champagne and chocolate cake for our honeymoon. this was complemented with a rose petal display on the bed, and in the tub. Similar attention to detail was given to us throughout our stay,

The resort has numerous on-site and off-site activities which are provided directly through the Four Seasons. We participated in the on site cooking school and rafting experience. While we were at first sceptical on booking them through the resort due to the relatively higher price compared to alternatives in central Ubud, we found that the added cost was worth the expense. Both the cooking school and rafting were done as a private experiences, compared to being added to a group on other operators. Special thanks to Chef Suta at Sokasi cooking school who not only provided a great introduction to Balinese cooking and ingredients, but even provided us with some local ingredients to take home which are not readily available in our home country.

We also booked the multi-course "romantic dinner" on the rooftop lotus pond. While expensive by any standard, the food and setup was amazing, and the personalized service by a private waiter was really the climax of our stay here. My only relatively minor comment is that drinking water for dinner should probably be part of the dinner. Given the cost and "all inclusive" nature of the dinner, I found it silly for water to be a adder.

The Four Seasons is expensive, and that should be a surprise to nobody. If you are on a budget or annoyed by above average prices compared to the local market, then this is probably not the place for you. However, if you are looking for leading service and experiences that you will remember for a lifetime, then I wholly recommend staying here. Prices may be expensive, but you never feel like you are being cheated. The Four Seasons adds value in their operations and is very noticeable throughout your stay.

Resort with a natural view of Ubud Bali. Recommended for couples escape from routine. The super relaxing natural atmosphere is very helpful for refreshing. Feel the cool breeze of the mountains, breathe deeply and blow with the burden of the mind.

This is hands down the BEST PLACE TO STAY IN BALI, it s sooooo beautiful, I can t wait to come back. My partner and I were met with care, love & amazing service from their team. I can t say I ve ever been treated better in my life. The Chef is incredible, the restaurant flawless, a bit expensive but it s 5 star so you expect that. We had the Lobster & Lamb, Scallops & Cheesecake dessert and it was amazing. I only have positive things to say about it here. The private free yoga class was beautiful, the massages were amazing, and it will forever hold a special memory in our heart. No photos do it justice. Ps GREAT WIFI!

Excellent hotel, superb service. We had a great experience. The staff was 5 star. The food was 5 star. The location was great. The river front villa was beautiful. The only downside to this and the Jimbaran bay four seasons is the internet speed. Even after the upgrade the internet is no where near premium. 20 megs by 2-5 megs is definitely old country internet. I couldn t even load google maps at times. They offered Wi-Fi in the hotel chauffeur, which was probably better then the in-room Wi-Fi.

It s 2019, I don t want to book another four seasons with bad internet labeled as premium.

Comfortable, quiet and beautiful place to stay

Comfortable, quiet and beautiful place to stay
Away from the traffic
Suitable for holidays or even honeymooners / honey moon
Only a sign of entering the location of the hotel that needs to be clarified, because the entrance is rather small, you should use the google map, and walk slowly when it is nearing the location

I and my wife stayed only for one night at Four Seasons Sayan. As expected, staffs were friendly and attentive. We had a really nice Indonesian dinner at Ayung Terrace, their "Rendang" is especially delicious. Their "Batu Kali", a 2 hour spa treatment, was so relaxing for my stiff shoulders. I wish I could stay longer.

I only have one input for them; they provide a mosquito spray at our Duplex Suite with words: "FUMAKILLA, nyamuk MATI tidak bangun lagi", which reminded us of words: fume, kill, dead forever, .... Please choose other brands with kinder words.

Love the place, very romantic. DO NOT BOOK the river front villa if you are a light sleeper like myself. The chefs table cooking session is a must, the Indonesian restaurant was also delicious. Try the sacred nap and book a massage in one of their spa villas.

We just spent the first four nights of our honeymoon in the Four Seasons Ubud Sayan and it was the most incredible experience. This is by far the best hotel we have ever stayed in anywhere in the world. Everything here is beyond expectation. The surroundings are out of this world, the service can only be described as anticipatory in every way, the food is of the highest standard and the activities are endless. We visited the water temple, the rice terraces, coffee plantation, waterfall, rafting, cookery lessons and multiple types of yoga. Simply sublime. Thank you Four Seasons Ubud at Sayan you ve been amazing!!!

We were among the first to stay here after several months of closure due to the coronavirus. It was thrilling to be at a hotel again and the Four Seasons did not disappoint. It was our second wedding anniversary and the staff went all out. We felt like royalty. Thank you!!!

For the amount you pay, you do get a world class service. The spa was one of the most amazing amenities on the ground. I wish I participated more in the in-house activities such as yoga or cooking class, but the food and overall experience was amazing. I recommend this hotel if you seek utmost tranquil and relaxation.

As always great! Here the hotel is not in the tallest building, as it is in many cities .. but it is compensated for in breadth. Very beautiful, what only is the entrance to the hotel with blooming lotuses, in general, you must see! Night in the family room is almost a thousand dollars, A little expensive .. and this price is just numbers.

Private pool villa, breakfast room view, high-quality room service, and hospitality were all satisfying.
There is a little distance from Ubud city, so it is recommended to stay for about 2 nights.
Room service Black Angus recommended!

Really great hotel. It isn t brand new as others have alluded to, however it s maintained really well and has an authentic Balinese feel (as opposed to a brand new generic hotel). The food in both restaurants was exceptional, the yoga classes were great and set in very scenic surroundings and the spa is fab too. Lastly all the staff were really fantastic and made it a memorable experience. Thank you!
