Worst insurance company ever. On 7/3/18 my parked car was backed into by someone with Founders Insurance Company. After weeks of fighting with them on the phone I got an estimate from the insurance for $1,839. The actual damage to the car is almost $7,000 with the possibility of more internal damage. Insurance company wrote a full and final check for $1,839 and will not return my calls. I would give this company negative stars.

filed a claim with founders on my truck a minor collision with no second vehicle founders gave me the run around for months , never came and actually looked at my truck and I provided what they asked for to ultimately deny the claim. SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE HEADACHE AND ANGER DO NOT USE FOUNDERS INSURANCE THEY WONT PAY CLAIMS FORN YOUR VEHICLE OR SOMEONE ELSES!!! Customer service is a joke claims people are rude! This company sets you up for failure. I have auto pay and EVERY month they send me an email saying my payment couldn t be processed and I have at least 6k in my account AT ALL TIMES!! At first I wasn t even getting emails and I would get letters in the mail weeks later informing me that my coverage had lapsed. I have had it with this place.
This is literally the worst customer service I have ever received! I called Triza Sernandez and she literally interrupted me in the middle of my sentence and asked for my claim number, but I didn't have one because I dont have their company and she had the nerve to say " oh I haven't opened this file I' ve been on vacation" . I would not recommend this company to anyone !!!! Spend your money with another insurance.
Forgot to pay my sr-22 so I get a letter from the bmv saying my license is suspended, I call and pay my bill at 8:30am. They emailed me a recepit and tell me that is all I need for the bmv ( witch it wasn't ). At 5:00pm they tell me they can't provide me anything at all saying that I am up to date on my payments and all is good. I ask for a supervisor and get put back on hold, when the girl returns to the line she informs me that there isn't a supervisor she was away from her desk. I ask to be placed on hold for the supervisor and she tells me no. You should look else where for insurance needs, they are awful and won't conect you to anyone that can help you. If you like getting pissed off for no reason and feeling like your talking to a dumb ass on the phone then this is what you have been waiting for.
A founders insured hit my wife on passenger side 3 weeks ago and havent heard from them much when they call its only to blame my wife that it was her fault this is just bs how is your fault when you are driving on an ave and out of no where pull out from a parking spot without checking and its not your fault? Anyway customer service is trash cant get hold of anybody adjuster who came to look into the van was a joke all my charging system got damage and both sliding doors are ruined on my honda oddysey l. Im on vacation trying to get a rental from them but nothing yet Ive had to pay a towing service to move around the block not to get any tickets and they still send a letter that they are not responsible for any parking charges and dont hurry up on this case. Adjuster said that they only use aftermarket and junk parts and i dont agree with that i want all oem and original parts. Lets see how it goes
Zero stars. If I could I would give negative. I have an open claim since end of March 2016....my medical bills still not paid....not even one of them. Unprofessional, rough and even aggressive...Claim representative almost scream on me when I try to argue with her. I've tried to reach her manager but he is exactly the same, may be even worse. I've never experienced such miserable people in my entire life. It looks like they have taken for the purpose of paying nothing to anybody. This is the worst customer service I have ever received! Sent me a notice a day after payment was due about policy cancellation after I had already paid. Tried to get in touch to check if my policy was still active and after speaking with someone for not even a minute, being ignored by them so they could ask questions to some unknown person in the background, was directed to another department and subjected to 20 minute hold a which eventually ended in a dial tone.
Someone hit my car 3 weeks ago and their insurance company is trying to fix my car but no representive from Founders will answer the phone for me or the other insurance company or return our calls to settle this claim. I'm beyond pissed!
Going through a claim now since feb 2016 and now its sept, juliet ramero will never answer your calls, if you get through to her boss you might get a call back from her but she will call at her convince, getting a lawyer, its the best way to deal with this company!!!!! This insurance company does not even deserve the 1 star. I am still trying to get them to return my call from 2 weeks ago after filing a claim that i was not even at fault for but thinking because it was my insurance that they would make sure I got all I deserved and then they would get it back from the insurance company that was at fault. Oh my god was I wrong. I have been a customer for 15 years and have left messages for Jovis Figueroa and her "BOSS" James Toone and neither have bothered calling me back. My next step is contacting a lawyer and let him deal with this sorry excuse of a company.
This insurance was given to me by the dealership, I should hv read the reviews that very day. Customer service is horrible. They lost my very first payment, then had nerve enough to cancel me. That was enough for me.
Avoid Founders Insurance like the PLAGUE! Founder's is the worst insurance company. On 12/9/2017 my husbands SUV was involved in a hit and run accident with damage to his fender. I contacted Founders to file the claim and we were advised to utilize American Pride Collision, their certified auto body shop or we would have to pay the difference in labor costs if we chose another , so we did. We dropped the SUV off to the auto body shop on 01/02/2018. I called the auto body shop on 01/04 to make sure the car would be ready for pick up on 01/05. He stated to me that they had to take the door trim off to take off the door latch to paint the SUV, and your latch spring is missing. He stated that the that he priced a used door latch at $118. I had no clue what he was talking about and I let him know that I just want the stuff that is supposed to be fixed to be fixed. He said well if it gets really cold the door will not open anymore. To be honest, I thought he had me mixed up with someone else. I picked up the car on Friday 01/05/2017. I stopped to get gas and I noticed when I tried to exit the car the inside door latch would not go back into position. I contacted Founder's insurance and they are giving me the run around. The door was working perfectly fine before we picked it up. The certified Auto Body Shop is denying liability, Founder's has denied for repairs because it was not apart of the accident. However, Founder's has reimbursed American Pride Collision for breaking my door latch. In addition, I still waiting on the proof from the insurance company that the auto body did not cause damage to my vehicle, and I am STILL waiting on a receipt from the auto body shop for the repairs and payment of my deductible. . I have gone back and forth with my adjuster and her Manager. They keep saying that this was not part of the accident. So, since neither the auto body shop nor the insurance company will accountability, let's see if the Illinois Department of Insurance can investigate and hold them accountable. They collect monthly premiums from people and refuse to do what is right. I am not playing with Founders they messed with the wrong woman.
Absolutely the worst insurance company I have ever had to deal with their client hit me and they're taking a month to write me a check and what kind of insurance company doesn't cover a rental car on full coverage when their client hits me they want me to pay for it and trust them that they're going to give me the money I don't think so I haven't even gotten my vehicle fixed in 2 months you think I'm going to worry about whether they're going to pay me yes I am I don't recommend this insurance company to anybody they're flat-out garbage
Horrible customer service! They saymy payment was due on the 3rd. I get an email that says the 4th. I call in to make the payment 10.00 late fee told me I was cancel as of that morning.I said my email says the 4th and my payment is 89.00 not 99.00. They said no its 99.00. I hung up called around and checked reviews first and switched to a different company ...only now paying 65.00 monthly instead of 89.00!
Very very bad insurance i got in accident the guy who hits my car had founders insurance, the accident was recorded by security camera , i called to get my car get fixed they Denied responsibility of the accident even I provide them with the video they keep Telling me its not his fault , every one i showed him the video he tells me bro its his fault ,even the accident report shows his fault but they keep say its not his fault , i was talking to the female manager shes very rude , she gives me feeling that she gonna pay from her money to fix my car , I tried alot of times same thing no help , right now am looking to hire attorney . I canceled my insurance because I needed full coverage on my older vehicle and they come at me and say I didn't cancel but I did because I called and I was told by my agent to let it run out and that's what I did and apparently they keep saying it's still active they wont let me cancel.
Absolutely terrible customer service. I share the experience of all of the posters before me. My parked car was rear ended by someone insured by Founders in MARCH 2016. It is AUGUST 2016. Ms. Adrianna Ocasio is allegedly my claims representative who has returned 1 of my 20 voicemails. It is impossible to get ahold of a live, human being. If you find yourself having to deal with them, be patient and persistent and make sure your keep any correspondence with them because I can almost guarantee you will be heading into litigation to get anything resolved.
Also, it breaks my heart that I had to give this company one star instead of zero to be able to post this review. I would give Nickelback a higher rating than these people.

Pay my monthly premium and cancel my policy after I found a lot cheaper policy with progressive instead them giving me full refund they took $60 of my $113 leaving me with $45 refund I didn't even have the insurance 2wks bottleg company.
Accident happend on May 11th ,they had a check to me by may 25th,Jasmine Rosas was the adjuster she was nice and professional.theyre insured was found completely at fault.Only downside they wanted me to pay for a rental up front and they only paid $21 a day.other than that no complaints here.a lawyer in these matters does help the process go a lot better.
Company is an absolute SCAM !!! Be aware !!! Driver insured by them rear ended me on the red traffic light . They junked my car '98 Honda accord with less than 100K miles on it and said it's worth only $1500 ( it is still drivable , no problem ) ... but wait they charged $300 to pick it up from my driveway . If you call them they never answer , return the call a day or two later . EVA LUNA - is the person thats handling my case is never in the office . It's been 6 months since the accident and I still haven't received my money from Founders !!! Still can't get anybody on the phone , still can't get my miserable money that they "quoted" me . WHAT A NIGHTMARE !!!!

When you get hit by someone who has the founders insurance policy, check your saving account to repair your car with your own money. Never answer calls. This has been the most horrible horrible experience I have ever had with a single company. One of their insured hit me and totaled my car. I had to have it towed to a body shop. The adjuster was supposed to be there in 48 hours, and took a week to come out, then we said to the owner and myself that the car will be towed off the premises with in 48 hours. They have abandoned my vehicle at this shop for over 30 day and now refuse to tow it. Not only that but the Total loss Adjuster, wont return any of my calls for an offer on the car, she is at ext 2535, the accident happened on 08/30 and not one word from these people. When you call "Customer Service" they are the rudest most unprofessional beings that I have ever come across.

Founders Insurance client admitted to going too fast and ran red light. He and I collided. Ambulance was called but thankfully I was not hurt. Founders Insurance refuses to pay for damage to my car because their client did not have valid drivers license even though the insurance policy was paid up and insurance was valid. Founders Insurance is corrupt!

Of course the person had an expired policy so they happy told me they would not or could not help. You have to love this company - they just do not care!! If you like throwing money in the trash, go with Founders, they make sure when you get into an accident that its a really awful experience. The do not pay insurance claims and they are rude and disrespectful. Any who see this should immediately file a report with the Better Business Bureau so we can get them shut down
I'm going through a claim now. I've been waiting since May 20th 2016 and it's now Aug 15th 2016. So frustrating after leaving multiple voicemails. Adjusters came and saw the vehicle and since then I've heard nothing. I see that others have been going through similar situations. Avoid this company at all costs. And be persistent. These guys are terrible and very unprofessional..... 3 months later and I'm still without a vehicle..... Seriously????!!!
I never thought in all of my years on this earth that having full coverage insurance was a bad thing. I have a 2009 Cadillac DTS. The car is in excellent condition. Someone stole my catalytic converter off it. I called my insurance agent instantly and filed a police report. After two months this company felt they were only responsible for $269 dollars. The part alone through GM was priced at $2252.00. Even if they wouldve split the bill I wouldve accepted that more than the slap in the face of $269 dollars. Not to mention the adjuster came out the next day to access the damage and I waited a month to reach out to them because nobody called me. They were very unprofessional. Especially Tiffany Lacht. Never returned emails or calls. I dropped them instantly. I have my vehicle back now after paying for everything out of pocket. This company treated me like I was the criminal. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy

I was hit by one of there insured & was very scared because I've only heard bad reviews about the company.My adjuster Matt came out the next day it took a few days to get everything, but the whole process took less than two weeks. I only thing I'd say is they offered me less than what it actually cost to fix the damages of my car, but I did except the first offer.I can say for me the did a good job handling my claim.

Edit on 1/29/2019 Founders insurance Client rear ended me in April of 2018. They STILL have not refunded my deductible from my accident, and they have been going to court for it for how long? Worst insurance company on the face of the planet. They lie, drag their feet, don't return calls. And as for trying to get ahold of anyone over the phone good luck. My car had been in the shop for over 3 weeks because of their handling of the claim. It will cost me hundreds of dollars in car rental fees because they dragged their feet and only cover so many days for a rental. They did not give me a choice of body shop and took my car to the worst shop in the Chicago metropolitan area. Don't do it. Spend a few more bucks and get a better company. 0 stars worst company to deal with ever !!! I Just bought a new car on April 20,2018 I was in a car accident on may 3rd 2018 and it totalled my car out with one of there policy member that was at fault. It took them to May 23, 2018 for their adjuster 20 days after the accident. I have had to call almost everyday to make sure what do else they need or needed from anybody else gap insurance and Lender I even had to call my insurance and founders and Co part on 3-way call so they would accept the charges and i could transfer my totalled car in their insurance name to further the claim. It has been an extremely long process it has been 43 days in counting its June 15, 2018 and I drive for Lyft and they said they made me a offer for my car June 11, 2018 and thats when they will stop paying me for Lyft crazy thing is they haven't even sent the check over to my Lender yet which means it can take even 2-3 more weeks til I can even purchase a car waiting on them to get through all the paper work . The rental car stuff is a joke they give you $21 a day I had a suv $21 gives you a smart car and they want you pay for it and reimburse you later and then they tried to tell me that there might be a policy limit issue to probably discourage me from getting a rental they said that it would come out of the policy which means less money for my car. I refused to pay anything for a car I had only 13days didn't even pay my first car note.
PS. EVERY TIME I CALLED THEM THEY TRIED TO TELL ME TO GO THROUGH MY CAR INSURANCE COMPANY.

Horrible doesn't even begin to describe Founders Insurance. Unprofessional and terrible communication from the start. A driver insured by Founders hit my car over three weeks ago and my claim has yet to be resolved. The woman handling my case doesn't answer her phone EVER and can barely communicate the details of the claim when she does contact me. Now Founders is trying to get out of paying for my damage because they say my car was in a prior accident... News flash, I bought my car as a Certified Vehicle from a Toyota dealership and I have the Carfax proving no prior accidents. They're just trying to get out of paying a $1,000 claim, which should be nothing to an insurance company. Now I have to go through my insurance company, pay the $500 deductible, and hope that my insurance company can get it back when they go after Founders. Just a huge headache for an accident that wasn't even my fault. I'm giving Founders Insurance one star by default.

Let me first start by saying I am not a customer of Insurance King or Founders.
I was hit by one of their customers in a minor fender bender. After leaving the scene, I thought I had received a fraudulent insurance card. First I had the pleasure of dealing with the local branch who helped me determine that the customer did in fact have insurance. After that I was transferred over to their sister/parent company Founders insurance. They directed me to their app (so very easy to report the damage!!!) and told me an adjuster would be contacting me. I was called the next morning and received a voicemail. I called back and told her it was easier for me to talk via email due to our same working hours. She was willing to do the whole process with me over email. They determined my car to be totaled so they told me a different adjuster would be calling me. She called within 24 hours. After talking to her, she told me I would be receiving a check for the damages within 7-10 business days. I actually received it within 48 hours!
This whole situation could have been a bad and stressful situation, but both Insurance King and Founders were so very helpful through the whole ordeal that it made it a piece of cake! 10/10 would recommend!
Edited to add: The adjusters I worked with were named Alice Curley & Vicenta Colina. Both were very nice and helpful!
Worse insurance ever. Involved in a hit & run . got 10,000.00 in damages. Founders will only pay 400.00. That's crazy. Make matters worse they put me in a rental for 25.00 a day. Called the rental company & they don't even have a car for 25.0 a day. I was tolled to pay out of pocket
This company is the least professional company I ve ever dealt with. We have been trying for the last two weeks to get a situation handled by them and they have been condescending and unhelpful. We spoke with Kim, the manager in the claims department and she was downright rude. She spoke over us and was completely unhelpful. Never do business with this company.
In October 2016 my car collided and it is not yet time for this company to pay for the damages, very bad service we are in September of 2018 and right now I am on the phone line with a despotic woman who asks me why after two years I am still claiming them. Very bad service recommendation to Hispanics do not use this insurace. And if someone hits you with this insurer, better get your lawyer from the beginning and do not waste time.
Worst insurance company ever. They never return your phone calls. HORRIBLE communication skills and no sympathy for the people involved in an accident. I actually work for another insurance company(State Farm) and I've been trying to help a customer get their claim resolved and they just do not want to cooperate. Angie Martinez is the claim rep and she is horrible and not professional at all. I've had to speak to the manager twice and he is just as bad. Just when I thought the claim was getting to an end... they sent the check to our insured $740 less than what the estimate said. DO NOT go through this company, you'll get ripped off.
They found me a policy around my budget and I got a really good one took no more then 10 mins getting me started up so far I am pleased I am with the morse rd on location in columbus ohio
Absolutely worst customer service. They are worse than my cable company. I was hit by someone with this insurance. I have everything turned in they need and I've been calling everyday for a week. No calls back. An agent told me the adjustor on my account has left notes that he has spoke with me on the phone. That has NEVER HAPPENED. Everytime I call I get his voice mail. I ask to speak to the supervisor and goes straight to voicemail. I ask to speak to another supervisor and goes straight to voicemail. BTW everytime it goes to a voicemail you have to call back and wait 10+min to speak with an agent. This place is a joke and should lose its ability to be called a business. Worst experience I've ever had with a company. #worthless
They don't deserve this one star rating. This is the epitome of bad business. Shady and gross. And did I mention shady? They will do anything and everything it takes to not pay a claim. Stay away from this horrible company.
I can't believe I'm giving this insurance company 1 star, 0 would be more accurate. The representatives are clueless. The wait time is at least 1 hour. I've called 5 times and been hunged up on each time.
Worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. The claims department is a nightmare. I submitted a claim and was assigned to Lisett Chavarria. In our 1st conversation, she implied I was at fault in an accident. I said really? Have you read the police report? She proceeded to say how she heard that ...blah blah blah. I asked if she would rather deal with my insurance company, American Family and She said Okay. After American Family send her an email offering to discuss, she called me and said Founders Insurance accepted full liability and would pay for my damages.
If you call or email them with a claim, expect no return phone call and no reply to your email. They are a joke. I even called a "manager", left a message his voice mail, and never received a call back.
I will never do business with them or their affiliates.
This company's conduct is contemptible. I was t-boned by one of their insured on August 21, 2016. After endless amounts of phone calls for over a year, they are still unwilling to reimburse me for my rental in full. I've written a letter to the President of the company in hopes of getting my full reimbursement. It makes me physically sick to have to deal with the dunce managing my case (Lisette); she has hung up on me twice. Worst customer experience of my life.
Going through Founders Insurance once a claim has been filed is like waiting for paint to dry. They do not return phone calls and will dump you into a voicemail at the drop of a dime.
This is the worst insurance anyone can buy for their vehicle, buyer beware. A drunk driver hit and run my car at midnight in Chicago, police report filed which indicated am at no fault. Their claim adjusters will never pick your call and try to delay the process on purpose. They also lowball you when it comes to the price and give you unrealistic estimate to fix your car. I went to several body shops and they all found it impossible to work with the estimate they gave me. They will screw you up whether you are insured with them or if another driver insured with them hits your vehicle. Even if you have to pay more look for better insurance, Founders are not worth it.
This insurance company is a joke my truck was hit by one of their customer over a month ago and my Truck has yet to be fixed The Claims adjuster name is Tiffany Shockley very rude and disrespectful customer service skills are at a all time low matter of fact no communication skills at all call to find out what was going on with the claim she immediately cut me off I asked to speak with a supervisor she hung up on when I call back to speak to the supervisor she did not respond her name is Allison Marlow. I've called on several occasions to get some type of information about my vehicle being fixed. This company should be shut down anyone who has this company as their for Insurance company should be shame with them selves It is a low budget company with low budget people working for them.
