I spilled like, 3/4 of the Watermelon Gose (incredible by the way)...a waiter was at my side with a towel in under 5 seconds and refilled it free of charge. Absolutely incredible environment, incredible staff, and incredible brews. I'll never love a brewery more
It is very recommended for people who want to try it, as small size beer can be ordered from a cup instead of a set and the price is reasonable. Guacamole was delicious.
My friends and I went here around 1p.m. It took an hour and a half to get our cheese pizzas. My friend asked for a soda, and never got hers. We ended up being here for two and a half ours for pizza. The pizza also came out soggy. Very disappointing.
Amazing, I absolutely love this place. The staff is so friendly and helpful, the beer is epic, the atmosphere is on point, and I feel so accepted at Founders Brewing Company.
As I'm a micro beer fanatic, we had to try Founders, I loved the Class 3 beers. I wasn't overly impressed with the menu, although my girlfriend did enjoy her sandwich.
Hey it's good beer, but it does seem they are understaffed. The staff doesn't have enough time for each table.
Came to celebrate my fiance's PhD on a Monday at non peak hours... large group of family and friends. We received some gifts and a large cake from the graduation ceremony and I asked if we could place our items on the empty stage (which we were told by the serving staff this was ok)... and the manager asked the waiter to tell us we can't keep it there? Having worked in the service industry, I find this very unprofessional and I wish she would have told us instead of having the server relay the message...
Love the food, beer and location. Cannot wait till you open in Detroit. I hope you treat your guests with the respect they deserve especially when celebrating amazing achievements.
I've been going to founders since before I could drink (they used to make killer root beer). Founders has been a large part of my life, and with good reason. Every step of growth has been in the right direction. From a beautiful new brewery to adding awesome sandwiches (made on Nantucket bread). This place is all around aces!
This place was crowded and noisy on a Friday evening. We shared a table with another family. The staff was great and our food came faster than expected. The sandwiches are huge. I could only eat half of mine. It was still delicious the next day. I can't say enough about the beer. Having Mosiac Promise on tap made my taste buds ecstatic.
Good varieties of beer. Sandwiches always on point. Love the outside patio in the summer.
Being in the business in over 10-15 years and this is the first time that Founders has released the KBS through the big box stores in Illinois. If this is the tendency of the brewery, in near future local consumers will no longer get your product through small stores,
Good Luck.

Great service. Great beer options. Good environment.
Great people great beer great environment. 10 out of 10.
Friendly open spaces, not too noisy, outside great for soaking up the sun in a sunny day. Staff friendly and most helpful. Beverages well above par. Food good. Parking can be tricky. A must return. Recommended.
Do you like good service? Friendly staff? If you answered yes to either of those questions I'd highly suggest you patronize another restaurant. We were schooled in the new age practice of operating a restaurant without a hostess as soon as we walked in. As an alternative we were made to hover over people's tables to swoop in the moment they paid their bill. A bartender actually recommended we sit down before people leave to best ensure success. The beer was good but no BAC level would allow me to look past the arrogant staff and unfriendly business practices. I won't be back.
Founders always feels welcoming and happy. They keep growing but continue the feel like a small operation.
Top notch service for a friendly face
My favorite brewery thus far! Now I Wes by a larger Spanish brewing company which is sad to see the ownership leave local hands, but good for business. Great affordable food and a large selection of beer that will never disappoint
This place makes me want to live in grand rapids. If you like Founders beer at all you'll love this place.
FoundersFest was awesome! Thanks for the great beers, good food, & excellent music!
Can't ever go wrong here! Food is great, atmosphere is great but most of all their beer. No words- for someone who doesn't like beer. They have something for everyone!
Great ambiance, terrible beer. Every IPA/double IPA beer we tried was super bitter and not drinkable. We tried 6. We tried 3 wheat beers and all were very watery and lacked flavor. Not one beer was balanced.
All day IPA is great...food average at best. Festival seating...and festival food ordering...keep it...nice building though.
Just be aware it's not a typical restaurant. Its a bit confusing when you enter. You have to seat yourself. Don't wait for a waitress because you have to wait in line at the counter to order your food. (Menus are up at the counter.) They give you a buzzer so you know when to come back to pick up your food. There are roaming waiters for drinks or you can go up to the bar. The food was good. This place is just a bit atypical when it comes to the dining experience.
Awesome fun place with a great selection of beers n great food and a really good tour!!!! Must see@! @!! @
Atmosphere like crazy here. A must stop when we have guests in town.
Excellent second floor event space for private party. Beer, as always, superb...
Delicious. Everything was above average. Stand outs for me were the Mas agave, golden ghost stout and KBS espresso. definitely worth visiting when in the area
Great Food and Great Beer, one of my favorite places in Grand Rapids never had a bad experience
One of my favorite breweries in Michigan. Great beer. Great food. Great atmosphere.
Huge place with lots of bars. Nice out door beer gardens. Great beer and service.
Get there when they have live music, it's fun to listen to local bands; do not care for peanut shells on the floor
What a great bar. Makes good beer however I didn't find it pretentious. Cheers to them.
Great atmosphere and better beer was so happy to see Founders in Finland!
Way too busy and the food here is awful. Just buy the beer from the store, too much of a tourist destination.
Great local brewery. The sandwiches are always good and they are large portions. The beer selection isn't incredibly diverse, but if you're in the mood for a good IPA, they've got them in droves.
Great beer, good food, and very pleasant setting and atmosphere. Reminds me of the classic beer halls of Munich!
If you like craft beer and great food, just go here. Simple as that. With a massive tap list and a huge range of beer types, there is something delicious for everyone.
Founders has been on my bucket list for a long time. Stopped in before going to the airport this weekend. All the goodness, KBS, CBS, nitro Rubeaus, cute beertenders. Take my money. Sandwiches and beer cheese are next level too. Can't wait to go back.
Great beer. The staff is very friendly. I recommend the beer cheese.
Chaotic and wild! This place is vastly popular and busy. I came here around 2p on a Saturday and it was a madhouse. Street parking was difficult to find. Then it was a competition to get a table inside since it's first come first serve with no sort of order, just whoever touches the table first. The place is huge, but it draw a big crowd. They serve food and beer, obviously. The bread pizza with pepperoni for $8 was pretty good, easy to eat. They also have sandwiches for about $10.
There's a store attached to the brewery, which was also very crowded when I visited.
Absolutely the worst experience!!!! I can understand being the only African-American in the entire place but to have half done bacon in large amount It s totally unacceptable. The fact that it was able to make it across the counter makes me feel that this was intentional please be advised I will never be coming back or bring my friends or family back because I see that the energy and vibe was already off so I understand why I receive that have done bacon especially being African-American in a red state!!!!!!!! Not to mention how kind and courteous I was to the customer service team!!!!
Really good beers and beer selection. Went here on a Saturday night with my family and it was a bit chaotic, the only thing I really don't like about the place is the seating situation. This place is so busy it can be extremely difficult to find a table to get comfortable, or even hear other members of your party. There is no host/hostess, and if you have a larger party, it might be hard to find a table to have a meal. Otherwise, pretty good bar with really good food and beer, great location, and fun atmosphere! I would recommend stopping by this place during a night out with friends!
Great GR treasure. Awesome craft beers, friendly staff, beautiful location, and best of all validated parking!
I finally got to the Brewery been wanting to come here for a long time love there beer but I found out the make great food too. I got the soup of the day ginger carrot soup and the devil dancer sandwich. The soup was delicious as was sandwich both were recommended to me by waitress and glad I toke her advice.
Founder's is a must for those who truly appreciate craft beer and Michigan craft beer in particular. Their staple beers are delicious and the seasonals are always fresh and surprising. We just went to Founder's Fest and it was an absolute blast; they sure know how to throw a party! Several amazing bands, art vendors, and plenty of beer to try. The food at Founder's is also amazing and perfect for pairing with your drinks. Looking forward to going back in the future!
While I was there i saw bartenders doing shots of beer with customers .this happened a few times didn't know that bartenders could drink on the job .had a d.J spinning records way to loud for me I'm not likely going to go back anytime soon or ever
Good bar food, great beer cheese and even better beer. However the poor service made for a hectic experience. Best suited for a group of friends
We had a fantastic time on the beer tour. The tap room however was disappointing. We managed to find a table, a server quickly came over to take drink orders, then 10 minutes later I saw him exit the building and walk down the street!! Lol...went and grabbed our own beers, waited over 30 minutes for anyone to come back over to our table, he was extremely rude. Ordered food, went to window to pick up order. All and all not a great experience. Really need to revamp your wait staff. Love your brews, just not the taproom
Thought the biggest and most popular brewery wouldn't be as authentic and have the same atmosphere as the other breweries in Grand Rapids, but I was wrong. Awesome place and the beers were so good! I'm a Breakfast Stout fan, but wanted to try the other beers. The Spruce Springsteen blew me away. Will definitely be back again.
Legendary beer, good food, in a huge buzzy bar, restaurant area, and patio complete with a fires and heat lamps. Yeah this place gets crazy busy, ordering can seem overwhelming your first time, and there is not a great system for ordering from the roaming servers. Yet, it s fairly easy to figure out. Once you can either snag a waiter if you re lucky or go up to the bar or food counter to order it s no big deal. There are too many good beers to recommend, chances are you won t be disappointed in what you pick. They have yet to get too big for the britches to continually deliver quality beer and operate a top notch venue so hopefully it never gets to that point.
A great place to go hang out with some friends and drink some of their many craft beers.
The service every time I come to this place is terrible. I'm pretty sure the have one server on staff for the entire restaurant.
Excellent! Came from out of town and was very satisfied! Great beer and music.
I came here with some of my buddies a couple months ago and it was a great experience!
Food is Terrible!! Beer is good! Don't go here for the food!
Very cool place. I'm from Colorado so I know a thing or two about craft beer, and let me say the size of this place doesn't have an impact on the quality of beer. The mosaic ale was one of the best I've ever had. Although giant in size and very well known, they still manage to brew quality beer. Make sure to enjoy one in their massive tap room, complete with lots of outdoor seating. Very highly recommended.
I love Founders Brewery but this experience was not great. We arrived around 7:40pm on Sunday to order drinks and dinner and were very excited to enjoy the Founders experience. We had some great beers and great food and I would come back for that any day. When we were finishing our meal and drinks the waiter (the guy with the knife tattoo on his leg) walked by, pointed to his watch, and hinted (aggressively) that we should leave quickly. I also saw him do the same thing to other tables. All of this was happening while my wife was buying shirts and other merchandise in their store. The girl working the store was fantastic and I will come back to Founders because of how hospitable she was. So, cheers to her for being kind! :)
Atmosphere is top of the line for brew pubs. Food is really good, and beer is out of this world. Staff is very helpful and there's lots of seating.
Great beer! Atmosphere is amazing food is great staff is very helpful all around great time!
Excellent beer, as expected. Great atmosphere and super nice people. I had a very reasonably priced and tasty chicken salad on a bed of lettuce, so good food, as well!
I love the beer but hate fighting people for a table. I was there on a Saturday for lunch with 4 other people and we could not get a table. It was too cold to sit outside. We tried to get a table for 15 min before leaving to go somewhere else.
If it is bad weather or cold outside and you have a party of more than 4, forget about getting a table. Go somewhere else.
Glad I was in town and could stop here. Everything was great. Beer selection was delicious, and the appetizers we had were tasty as well.
Why is founders kicking us out bc our 3mo old boy is sleeping under the table on a slow Tuesday night?
Favorite beer in town! Check out their live shows and daily deals. Heading out right now for cheap pint night.
Unbeatable beer selection. Fantastic outdoor atmosphere.
We had a great time, they had great service and food
Amazing beer. Great merch and friendly awesome staff.
As we were passing through Grand Rapids I saw a sign for Founders and we decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised by the find. The place was happening, fun and festive atmosphere with friendly and knowledge staff. My wife is the beer drinker and she said it was very good. I also brought a four pack home for a neighbor friend and he liked it too. They have many beers to choose from on tap. We were there in late spring, looks like it is the place to be during the summer months...set up for a party.

Great beer and great simple eats. Nice layed back atmosphere.
First time visiting the well known Founders Brewery, food was menu is minimal and simple. selection is large with lots of variety. Highly recommended if you are in Grand Rapids.
My go-to spot for tasty brews and food. The staff is knowledgeable and very nice.
good atmosphere, delicious beer, decent food, nice company) what else do you need to have a good time)
Great place to visit to grab a beer or 5 lol. Great bands and really good food!
Beer s overrated but decent food and a nice place to chill, although regularly overcrowded
