Very eclectic restaurant, really cool mid century decor. There were like 3 different t seating "zones", each with a slightly different style. Food was really good and flavorful but portions are small. Service was good, server very friendly and knowledgable. Chef has good taste, he also owns "The Barn Steakhouse" which is also great. Seasonal cheeses were the same as "The Barn", slightly disappointed, but overall a good experience. Recommend.

While a bit pricey, Found is simply amazing. The decor is modern and refreshing and it is great that such an amazing place has found a home in Evanston. The food was simply outstanding. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the Evanston area.

Whenever I want to grab some drinks and delicious food in Evanston, I always find myself at Found. Their drink menu has changed a few times since it has opened but I really love the Clockwork Orange. Their dinner menu also changes quite often, but I am always excited to see what new dishes they have. On my most recent trip we had the fresh mozzarella, lamb meatballs, and Slagel Farm Steak-- all delicious! If you can, make reservations because sometimes there can be quite a wait. Many of the seating areas in the front half of the restaurant are unique, so I'm always excited to see where I'm going to sit at next. I think once I sat in an old dentist chair.

Everyone feels comfortable here, especially with all the nooks in which to sit. The food is excellent, the cocktails worth a trip alone, and if you go early, it's quiet enough for good conversation.

We had a very good experience, great service and food. However, I discovered a few days after being there this restaurant was part of Restaurant Month Specials in Chicago and we could have saved quite a bit of money if someone would have told us we had that option. Upon calling to tell them this, I asked don't you think you should inform people? She said not sure...really? Then manager said we just expect people to ask for specials as we have quite a few. How many I asked she said 6. So there were six ways we could have saved some money...hmmm. As for me if they shared this info. with me and did their best to save my group money I'd be very appreciative and most likely return. From the managers response, not happening. When I was in NYC last month they handed me the restaurant month menu and the regular one, guessing many restaurants in Chicago do that as well, clearly not this one.

Loved the eclectic mix of furniture and delightfully varied menu of what I understand is farm to table food. The Reuben was great. This frosty drink was a sorbet mixed with effervescent something. Lovely and knowledgeable waitress.

Great place overall,

Great place overall,
most of the plates are really good,
unfortunately sometimes this is hit or miss. we got disapointed several times from the really small portion, or by a plate without real interest.
But still one of the best restaurant in evanston, we'll keep coming

Ambiance is very nice, cozy and has personality - it feels like a nicely decorated club house. Food is tapas style and everything was very good or excellent. If you like meat, the steak on the bone was superb (specially the mushroom butter) is excellent. Caramel sundae is also great. Service was also very good (at least if Bryan is serving you). Regarding price, well, it's not the typical budget restaurant but not crazy either.

This spot is the one I like best. I go to a lot of restaurants but to this restaurant I keep coming back again and again. The stuff is very receptive and the cuisine they cook is so yummy. I am always happy to have a nice meal in this restaurant. I highly recommend this place.

I get to eat here a lot since I work right next to it. I love how the customer service is always excellent and they keep the spot neat all the time. Prices are convenient and they serve sizeable portions.

Went here for a baby shower today and the food was very good and servers were pleasant and attentive. The library area in the back converts to a private room and was cozy and perfect for the event. Recommend!

Fantastic food, including healthy options. Front half of the restaurant has all antique furniture, when eating you feel like you are in the 1890's. Back half of restaurant is more regular tables, but you still have that 1890's feeling. The food is really good and well presented, and reasonable.

Food was good, a bit pricey for the portion size but they did make it clear they made using local ingredients a priority which is really nice. The cauliflower was great, so was the burger and chicken thighs. Our service was really good, our burger wasn t right and our waiter was very nice about it and fixed the issue. Good mixed drinks and a very extensive wine list. I would come back!

We had a wonderful dinner there this evening. The dishes we had was wonderful. The flavors were well balanced and a good use of fresh vegetables (morels, root veggies and potatoes). The only dish we thought was meh was the dessert. The carrot cake was made in a Bundt cake a too heavy.

Our server Lauren was absolutely phenomenal and made the dinner a treat. She was down to earth very helpful and got us extra baguette to slurp up the mussle broth throughout the meal.

What a find! My wife and I got a chance to have brunch at the Found Kitchen. I had the fried chicken with Johnny cakes and my wife had a salad with salmon. Everything was great! The food, the service and ambiance was excellent! The restaurant staff made us feel right at home. Love the decor! There is plenty of street parking and a parking lot not too far away. I highly recommend this place for brunch/dinner!

This place is amazing. I rec om mmend the chef's table for sure. This is probably the BEST steak I have had in a very long time. The dessert....chocolate pots de creme was to die for also :-) This was my first visit here but it will DEFINITELY not be my last!!!!!!

I've been to Found a number of times already and twice for new years. It still is one of my favorite date night spots. Everything is consistent in regards to food and drinks. Service is pretty awesome too with the occasional questionable hipster waiters. Bartenders are super nice when you're directed there if your waiting for your table. All around great Ambiance.

Always a delightful experience!! Witness the food being beautifully and artfully prepared by very caring owners and staff, creating dynamite dishes and a memorable warm friendly atmosphere. Great coffee, house made sauces and drinks, and they are happy to accommodate many dietary options including vegan upon request. A local gem of genuine taste!

I've been hearing about this restaurant for awhile and was very excited to try it. The ambiance was fabulous, really comfy/cozy. The first problem was my cocktail, I ordered a martini with blue cheese olives, I got a small sorbet-type glass, filled to barely 2/3rd full with 1, yes ONE blue cheese olive!!!
It looked so lonely on that 5 inch stick!
The food was just okay, how do you justify charging $16 for flatbread with parmesan and arugula? The polenta was very greasy as were the lamb meatballs.
My friend chose to go there to celebrate her birthday and was asked by the waiter "what would you like for your birthday? She chose a dessert, it came with a candle and a price tag. Whatever happened to one free, small dessert on the house for a celebration when people are spending hundreds of $$$$ ? With so many fabulous choices, especially in Evanston a place has to have more than great looks.

Wow!

Wow!
What a unique place in the heart of downtown evanston!
Truly classy vibes with ultra modern and coZy interiors this place is purely amazing!
Women led , fancy, moderately expensive, limited menu.
I would defintely recommend to visit this restaurant.
Couple of things to keep in mind:
Scroll through the menu beforehand, since its very limited ( no chicken dish at all)
Food took some time to arrive but it was worth it.
Tried lamb burger, french toast ( just wow) and avocado toast ( could have been lil better).
Over all nice, must check out their interiors you will love it.

We took the waiters recommendation and got a bunch of shared tapas! The restaurant has an upscale and charming vibe, and the waiters are very knowledgeable and helpful. Absolutely a nice date spot!

This place is very high end with great prices. Cosmopolitan decor and food that is simply divine. Everything from the kale salad to the meatballs a la carte were amazing. A great hangout for great cocktails and food.

Service is outstanding! What a great find!
May have to make the 1 hour trip to visit again! Great job at the shower! Loved it!

American tapas and locally sourced ingredients make Found a welcome addition to downtown Evanston. Also, while I'm not a cocktail person myself, I have it on good authority that their offerings in that category are also notable. Just try to get a table with conventional chairs: the mismatched seating is visually attractive but not functional.

We were there recently to celebrate my son's birthday. The food was wonderful (loved the kale salad!!!) and the service was perfect. Our server even noticed that the birthday boy also had several awards from that evening's school ceremony and brought out a special "aperitif" (non-alcoholic, of course!) with a second candle to celebrate those accomplishments, in addition to the birthday dessert. Plus, they sent out one for each of the other kids and something special for my husband and I. It made the evening even more special. And lots of fun!

This restaurant is amazing. One of the best in the area. The furnishing and decor in the restaurant is very genuine and inviting. The food is meant to be small plates to share, but you can get a regular meal as well. Speaking of food, it's unbelievable!!

Nestled near various Evanston standbys like Kafein...

Nestled near various Evanston standbys like Kafein, this fairly new small-plates and cocktails destination boasts a classy bar with quizzical hand-lettered quotes (perfect for Instagramming), as well as cozy parlor-style seating. We went here for New Year's Eve, ordering versions of their prix-fixe "Night in Paris" meal. While I am not a fan of steak tartare, the rest of the meal - from the St. Vincent champagne to the stuffed trout to the cheese plate to the creme brulee - was wonderful. Outside, a full-swirl snowglobe had descended upon the streets as a harried valet rushed to and fro to dig out cars for patrons. The service here is excellent. I'd like to take a few extra words to praise our server who came by our table with care. Such a tight space can lead to a few overheard conversations, and we admired our server's incredible tact and patience when dealing with patrons who thought it quite the parlor game to guess his ethnicity. Lest I forget, the cocktails are not to be missed, and even if they are a tad pricey, they are a lovely treat to lose oneself in, if ever so briefly.

I eat in this nice place quite a bit! This is my favorite place to pass a nice evening. I go there many times. The cooking is fantastic, the staff members are polite and the price is good. I enjoy meeting in this spot over a decent dinner.
