Awesome store, one of the oldest in London. Even if you are not going to buy anything, it makes sense to just go in and take a walk. On the ground floor, tea and delicacies, I recommend lemon kurd (a jar of about 5 pounds), ideal for morning tea and memories of England.
In the photo, sweets are just for understanding the price order :)

Visited this departmental store during the Christmas festive season. Man, was it packed! Not just locals but filled with tourists looking for souvenirs such as teas, chocolates, and what not. The staff were kinda overwhelmed, and the entire place was just pure "sardines chaos". Managed to get some tea and chocolates and left this place a happy man.

P.s. Wasn't cheap. This place is quite upscale and things here costs quite a bit.

Went to Fortnum & Mason's Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon for a great afternoon tea experience. The afternoon tea set comes with 3 tiers of high tea goodness which happens to be refreshable too.

We opted for the tea tasting experience too and our tea sommelier was great - walked us through the different types of tea, different flavors and different grades of tea.

I visited the spirits department on Saturday with my partner and we received the most tremendous service from Peter!

We wanted to find a special whisky for my partner's father who has just retired and after sampling some wonderful bottles we found the perfect one - we also left with a 22year old gin and a sherry casked gin for our own bar cabinet :-)

Thank you Fortnum & Mason for continuously engaging wonderful, knowledgeable staff who are passionate about their field and understand how to offer excellent service in an entirely non-sales like fashion.

As always we will be back and we will be sure to seek out Peter on our next visit.

Fortnum and Mason are one of the ugliest companies in Britain. Despite years of requests to the contrary and horrific video PROOF of poor geese imprisoned in stinking French foie gras farms being force fed several times a day, F & M refuse to stop selling this horrific crap in their stupid, money grabbing shops. What a useless, imcompetent and thoughtless company Fortnum & Mason is. It must be in severe financial trouble if it's got to keep supplying such cruelly produced 'food' to a few die hard millionaires. I curse every single one of them to a long and lingering death. FOIE GRAS MUST BE BANNED ACROSS THE WORLD TO STOP THE F&S DEVILS ONCE AND FOR ALL.

Three floors, with a wide variety of tea, sweets, chocolate, Ideal to take us before the return, since the prices are very affordable. One can walk on their own, and if there are no staff dressed in tails, very friendly to help you. They say the queen takes the tea there, I don't know. What I do know is that having tea there is very expensive! It must be worth it ...

Class.

The environment is wonderful and they take care about the details very much. The service was always better than good. The best: you don t need to care about etiquette

Well done guys!

F&M is the icon of the historic, luxury department store in Piccadilly in the heart of London.
You can breathe the air of old England, where it is not uncommon to find people from the London jet-set.
The property is spread over 4 floors and offers the best of English style. On the ground floor a large (incredible) selection of teas (great for a gift), on the first floor cups and kitchen accessories, also in English style.
On the other floors there is clothing and finally a tea room and restaurant.
To visit!

The place for the best tea. The tea sold loose by weight is wonderful. The presentation of all products is sublime. The quality and price is almost perfection to the detail. I love to buy my tea here.

Besides Liberty, it's my second favorite shop in London. Such an elegant display of products... Obviously you have all sort of tea available, but you can also buy cookies, chocolate, honey, seasonings, wine, liquor... Not at small prices, of course

It's always a pleasure to shop at fortnum and mason during Christmas season. I love love love all the different jars of biscuits,.my favorite this year is the tofolossus biscuits ... But they are all so so good that it's almost addictive. I already bought a hamper for Christmas with those, lemon curd and macadamia nut biscuits and St James pudding (grandma's favorite). I am not even mentioning the teas but I could spend years trying them all!

Writing a review for the afternoon tea. During our time there, we had 3 different people serve us. Not to mention once sat, it took 15 minutes before a gentleman took our order. After the gentleman finally took our order we never saw him again and were greeted by another server -- Kelly who was absolutely WONDERFUL!! Hats off to Kelly, as she provided amazing service throughout our time there. Had it not been for her, our experience there would've been very different. However the troubles began when Kelly went on her break, the "head waiter" came to our table and asked if we needed more scones and water, which he failed to ever provide. For a place where you spend this amount of money, you would expect service by your waitresses superiors to be top notch and Fortnum and Mason lacked in this area.
