A lot of history on this place. I can't believe this is a 300 years old store.
A lot of history on this place. I can't believe this is a 300 years old store.
Love coming here on a girly weekend, especially the Parlour
Amazing products, but a little expensive.
It's like a quality supermarket
Excellent gin sommelier...nailed our taste with a few questions, and sold the bottle with a nice story on top.
Nice historical store in London, I enjoyed their Food section
Big store, has everything. Ground floor dedicated to the huge variety of teas ...
Wonderful, every time I am enchanted. More of everything. Very nice, even if a little caretto.
Well presented, well stocked store with flawless service! Well done Fortnum I throulghly enjoyed my visit and will be returning.
THE BEST DAY OF LONDON FOR CHOCOLATES, MARBLES AND POETRY OF TSAGIA.
Posh and nice but expensive, went for afternoon tea, hard to justify the price
A little too busy, and a tad bit too focused on fine foods for my taste. That said, if you are into that please don't let this discourage you.
I have to go here.
For reference, if you go by train to Paris
You can also buy it at St Pancras Station
We attend every year at Christmas for drinks. We always book to guarantee a table as the Wine Bar is only small but the service is always excellent. Bear in mind you are paying F&M prices but it's so worth it.
Beautiful not to miss place in London!
For a quick visit. ... a long laid back or to taste the best teas and desserts!
Essential tea shop and salons during a visit to London. In the heart of Mayfair district. Sumptuous
Many people, lovely shopping place but a bit expensive.
Great and helpful staff! Unique products for you and your beloved!
Really enjoy visits to Fortnum & Mason. Personally recommend here versus Harrods. The tea & treats (pastries, chocolate, etc.) are great! Some of the food is definitely overpriced but other food is ok (pastries, some chocolate, loose tea).
Definitely recommend to visit.
Very expensive department store, which looks a bit like an opera house inside. Same pompousness and the same grandeur. The scones in the upstairs cafe were small and expensive but absolutely divine, best I've ever had. The matcha latte wad also very good, much better than in most places.
Food was exceptional as ever climbing the stairs to the 4th floor is not a great experience though. Please find a way so your lifts can cope of excessive footfall during festive periods
Love love love it! Amazing store where you can spend all of your money! Def go there and treat yourself to all these delicious goodies. The restaurant is great aswell.
My favourite shop in all of London. Walked in three years ago wearing motorcycle boots, ripped jeans & dreamy eyes. Found myself surprisingly met with the same treatment the queen would get if she walked in. The restaurant is divine & there is also a lovely little wine bar I would highly recommend.
A wonderful place I still love going to.
Exquisite place where the atmosphere of old department stores is present in every detail. It is worth a visit, as it is not as crowded as Harrods, not having as much variety in its departments
A once a year trip.to get some good quality shopping for Christmas
They offer FTGFOP single estate Darjeeling first flush, as well as many other TGFOP rating tea. Walking in there is a royal-like experience.
Brilliant shop if you are in London with bags of history and amazing atmosphere
Great fun
I can see a young female clerk who is a little expensive, but a gentleman's clerk covered it and made me tech, so I lived without having a good memory.
The best store at Christmas! Beautiful windows, produce - it the quintessential British shop;
You feel like you ve been transported back to older days. Fabulous food too!
Tea and Foie gras mousse are amazing! Just a bit expensive but worth it!
Always stunning and delightful. Incredible and friendly staff. A welcome respite from busy London. A wondrous and magical place, to take in all the goodies.
Luxurious store and have delicious types of chocolate must visit
Great variety of products. Excellent customer service. Highly recommend it
Most beautiful grocery store in london - excellent for high tea or afternoon tea. The royal family's favorite store
Fortum & Mason, often abbreviated as "Fortnum's", is a department store located in Piccadilly. Established in London in 1707 by William Fortnum and Hugh Mason. Its fame was due to the fact that it was initially dedicated entirely to the sale of food (food hall), although it currently has several plants dedicated to other subjects. It is also known as a reputed tea shop. Fortnum and Mason is internationally recognized for its high-quality products and to be a symbol of the United Kingdom. It has been a real supplier for the past 150 years. It is a beautiful store and highlights the presentation and decoration of the products as well as the stained glass and display.
Full of beautiful expensive things, generally always packed especially round Christmas.
The manager showed a standard that the staff have to adhere to because the service was very .. unassuming inconsiderate springs to mind . The manager when around was class
An excellent sweets district and many quality home design items
A must in London. For a brunch break and to take home a gift. Top the jams.
A truly splendid department store, enjoy the best British department store experience there is!
Each floor is just as impressive - as soon as you walk into the ground floor food hall you'll just say "wow!"
The lower ground food hall is wonderful, I love finding new food and drink there! The fresh deli is simply splendid.
The staff are very helpful and can always answer any queries.
A must visit for a trip to London, especially at Christmas time!
Fantastic service, staff are so pristine looking, polite and most helpful.Great 1st class service other shops should learn from them from uniforms to manners.
the experiences with F&M is terrible. I spend 1000 pound in total there. We choose international deliver. DHL delivered the package to our house. I found the tea set I spent more than 400 pound is cracked and broke. I am very much disappointed and request for a replacement but no one is replying any email. It has been a month still no reply.
Plus, when I was at Fortnum Mason to make this order, something goes wrong with their system so we didn't get our VAT back. The gentleman promised that I will get a call. But I didn't.
Those who come from Germany and live in London will find their elixir of survival here in terms of bread technology. A place to know in terms of food!
A beautiful store, they take care of the details to the maximum, the prices are not economic but I think it is a unique type of store, it has 5 floors, with cafes, afternoon tea option and purchases of many varied genres. The visit is only worth the penny even if you don't buy anything.
Beautiful store. Lovely restaurant downstairs. Enjoyed our visit. Oh and the best public bathroom in London!
Lovely shopping experience as usual. Great choice of gifts and makes you feel special to be there even at 4pm on a busy pre-Christmas Saturday afternoon!
Uniquely British department store, absolutely wonderful. The staff are friendly and the shop is always amazingly well decorated. Strongly recommended for anyone in the area.
Absolutely fabulous. Stopped in after a long day of sightseeing and bought much more than I needed. They have a crazy huge selection of teas, honeys, jams and everything else decadent. If you need tea in or from London, this is the place to get it from.
Loose tea & teabags, coffee available as beans or grounded to the liking. Extensive variety of honey. High quality honeycombs. Beautiful aromas of perfume and cosmetics! Fine crockery, clothing & accessories! Every product I have purchased here is characterized by elegance & refinement! Always excellent customer service!
If you want to impress someone buy a gift from Fortnum & Mason. The store is truly magical and every item from a tin of biscuits to the most expensive item is beautifully decorated and wrapped. The first place I go for my Christmas gifts. Wonderful!
A huge department store.. very pricey but a nice place to stop. A must stop for london
Very nice lunch and experience. The set menu is a must and fills you up completely. A nice experience to wander around the store and then head up stairs for a spot of lunch. If you're not hungry then get ice cream or a Sundae.
Feel like a princess when I walked into the place full of beautiful little things and so good selections of cheese, curved meat as well as gorgeous tea pots, tea set and all other kind of tea and sweets or condiments..I simply love shopping in this place
It's really impressive! There are also many choices for tea bags!
Historic department store on various floors. Ground floor entirely occupied by you, typical local products (jams) and the famous picnic baskets. In the basement, gastronomy, wines, spirits ... in the others there is clothing and catering
Terrible online shopping experience.
Have placed a Christmas order on the 8 November for a delivery on the 22 December. Nothing has been delivered today. After me calling the customer service number I have been made aware that the order has not left the warehouse as one of the items ordered was not available. I did not receive any call or email to inform me about the issue. Order containing Christmas presents and dinner for guests coming tonight. What a shamble. Welcome to Fortnum & Mason. I have cancelled the further two orders but they were not really bothered.
Love it, especially the Wine Bar downstairs. We cannot wait to return.
It is a must to go to when in London. It's a unique English experience. The tea choice is incredible with high standards customer service
Its items are not suitable for the pocket of the ordinary worker but its wonderfully refined British style is well worth a visit that will make you feel that you are truly in the country of tea and pasta!
Historic department store selling finer foods and goods
I always shop here because I am very posh and privileged. Don't read this review if you are poor.
Beautiful original place ... I recommend everyone to pass
Expensive, famous grocer. The crystallised fruit is beautiful and they stock a comprehensive range of teas and preserves.
Elegant place, maintaining its original character with great selection of delicatessen in the food hall.
What to say? Under Christmas and beyond ... It is an attack on the throat!
